McKenzie is finishing her deceased brother's bucket list when she meets Noah in Vegas. He has been sent to retrieve the list, as her brother had been gunrunning from Afghanistan and the guns are lost. He gets the list but also needs McKenzies input, so he arranges for another meeting in the Phillipines. And off they are - finishing the list and having megatons of hot sex.

The story started out with a bang in Costa Rica, lagged a bit and only then took off. But warning: the story is not complete and continues in book 2.

When McKenzie's brother dies, she vows to complete his bucket list. As she starts ticking off items, she meets Noah, an ex SEAL, who now works for a drug lord in Mexico. Noah's boss thinks McKenzie knows where a cache of illegal weapons is being stored so he put Noah on the case to get info. As Noah and McKenzie spend time together in close quarters, they develop feelings for one another. They also find that they have to dodge unexpected threats along the way.

First and foremost, this story is in the first person POV. Not my favorite, but the story was written well, so I was able to overlook that. The ending is also a cliffhanger. We are provided with enough information to know what will likely become of the main characters, but we aren't given a resolution to the troubles they face. With much of their time spent together alone on a boat, Noah and McKenzie have a lot of sex. It's well written and incredibly steamy. It also touches on BDSM. Did I mention they have a lot of sex? A lot. Of sex. I ended up skimming over a few scenes, it was a few too many for me.

Overall, I did really enjoy this story; I found both characters to be likeable. This was my first book by Brynley Blake and it was a pleasant surprise. I'll keep my eyes open for her other books.

My thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC, for the pleasure of reading and reviewing Rogue by Brynley Blake.

Wow, this is my first time reading a book from Brynley Blake and I can honestly say I am hooked for life. Noah and Kenzie are brought together as opponents and end up together as lovers. This book had so many twists and turns and the action was none stop. The characters are true to life, they could very well be people walking by you on the street. The sex scenes are steamy but not over the top and the ending leaves you wanting more. I cannot wait until the next book in the series becomes available. I truly enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.

**I received a copy of Rogue via Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review**

Rogue by Brynley Blake is the start of a new series by the author. Ms. Blake is a new author that I haven't read before and even though I'd give the book a 4.8 star rating, I do look forward to the next book in the series.

Mackenzie Prescott is a wedding dress designer who never has stepped outside of her comfortable box but when her Navy SEAL brother dies during an op, she decides to finish his bucket list that he left her. She do things she never has before and learn to live, learn and of course love again. Along the way she'll discover her submissive side with Noah Payne.

Noah Payne is a former SEAL who knew Mackenzie's brother but also knew there were things he didn't tell his sister including how and why he died. When he meets her in Las Vegas, his sketchy boss has ordered him to do whatever he has to do in order to find out where his missing gun shipment is. There is intrigue, action, adventure, and he'll show Mac his BDSM persona and uncover hers.

Although I don't read BDSM stories regularly this might have been tad much for me but I'd still give it a 4.8 star for everything else in the story. It does give you a snippet into the next book which I'll be patiently waiting for.

I had to keep reminding myself that Noah is a bad guy. Yes he's there to help her and keep her safe, but he has reasons that are not so desirable to get this done. Don't worry it all works out in the end, obviously.
McKenzie is clueless. She is just trying to finish a bucket list that her brother never finished before dying. The bucket list takes her to beautiful places and helps her to become a stronger more adventurous woman. Having Noah help her was just an added bonus and surly helped her cross some of the things off the list that she didn't think she would be able to finish.
