I love love loved this story. I thought the entire premise was brilliant and a little sad actually but still great. I loved the chemistry between Rose and Garrett. It was so hot, funny, and steamy. They were so amazing together. The idea of child bounty hunters is not something that I have read before and that is why it was so fantastic. Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this book and write about it.
The last resort by Ember Leigh.
Rose is a bounty hunter. She rescues babies who have been taken from their mothers without their consent. Wes and garrett are doing up a hotel when they crash into Rose's car. What happens next?
A fantastic read with great characters. I really enjoyed this book. Wasn't sure on wes. Didn't trust him. I loved how Garrett and rose were. I loved the ending too. 5*.

Loved the unique story in this and the part where she messes with one of the brother's minds was funny.
This is a new to me author. I enjoyed this book, I found it easy to read, the characters Rose and Garrett enjoyable. I liked that Rose was a bounty hunter and not your typical one at that. Her bounty hunting consist of diapers and formula, baby bounty hunters walk a gray line she’s within the law and just outside it. Rose finds herself stranded in a snow storm with her charge Emmy, just when Rose doesn’t think things could get worse, they get rear-ended. Rose has no choice but to except the help of her two rear-ending rescuers; getting Emmy out of the storm to a safe warm place is her priority as is getting her back to her real mom. It just so happens Garrett and his brother are in the middle of reconstructing a resort nearby. The ruggedly handsome Garrett has Rose rethinking her priorities; get the baby to her mom or seeing him naked? Decisions, decisions… guess you’ll have to read the book to see want she decides on. 3.5 stars

This is an entertaining read with plenty of fun, suspense and steam. I like the characters as well as the story. Rose is a baby bounty hunter and after rescuing baby Emmy she gets stranded in a snowstorm with Garrett at a hotel that happens to be under renovations and he is part of the crew. Garrett and Rose have great chemistry and the story held my interest throughout. I really liked it.
I wouldn't really call this an erotic romance. There's definitely heat but not much of it. This story was ok. At times it seemed far fetched and the heroine's actions didn't really line up with who she was made out to be as a character. If you're looking for a simple romance, you will enjoy this. If you're looking for romance with a little more and an in depth plot, you'll be disappointed. This can go either way.

Rose is not your typical book heroine. She's a former Marine who is now a Bounty Hunter. But she's not just any Bounty Hunter. She rescues children who have been abducted by their non custodial parent. Needless to say she needs to use discretion in doing this. As she rescues baby Emmy she is stranded in a snowstorm at a resort. This resort however, is under construction by the Garrett Galo. In order to hide baby Emmy's identity, she pretends to be her mother. Garret is not only taken in by Rose but he begins to adore the baby as well.
Garrett and Rose have an instant connection and sparks fly but when it comes time to leave will Rose be able to leave without Garret and will Garret understand Rose's need to protect the innocent child.
A child bounty hunter—she kidnaps kids that were abducted by parents who didn’t have custody, so she’s a good guy—gets stuck in a snowstorm after her latest mission and, after being crashed into, is rescued by a couple of brothers who are renovating a hotel, along with about twenty construction workers. Love ensues between her and one of the brothers.
She’s an ex-Marine with abandonment issues. Not a typical heroine. (BTW, I was a Marine and I don’t worry about that “always a Marine” nonsense.) He’s never met anyone like her and can’t stay away, which either annoys or concerns his brother—or both. It may be because I just got through watching the series again, but she reminds me of Wynonna Earp: a giggly badass. So of course despite all her issues and quirks I love her. She’s a complex character—maybe a little too complex—so I’m enjoying the game between them, while realizing in real life they’d probably piss each other off so much. Even better, this is one of those rare situations where I actually like the male character too. Not that I usually hate them, I’m just indifferent, concentrating on the female lead. This guy I would like as a buddy.
Obviously if she hadn’t been trapped this story would have never happened, so as a plot device it’s fine. Interesting to think of a baby as a wild card, both drawing them closer and driving them apart. And it has to be said, that little toddler is probably the best character in the entire book!
DNF I lost interest pretty quickly with the male love interest. He just didn't have depth. I think it started when the first thing I knew about him was that he bought the wrong shoes for the climate he'd been living in for months. He also has a smarter older brother he treats poorly. I'm 18% in and that's all I'm going to give it. The premise was so strong and this is a new author so I'm not going to write a pan online. I'm grateful for every NetGalley chance I get!
