I was not a fan of this book. I think if I had read the first one, it might have held more appeal. But there was a mess of characters, the narrative jumping from 1st person to 3rd person. It didn't clearly explain what some of the supernatural creatures were, but that may have happened in the first book. It had some characters with story lines that did not make any sense as to why they were there.
Because I hate to DNF books, I found myself skimming to reach the end.
