My teen area really needed some new non-fiction and this book was a great addition. Great information about amazing woman who made a difference in the world. Hoping it inspires lots of your women to go out and make a difference too.

In the spirit of "goodnight stories for Rebel Girls" comes yet another biography of women both known and unknown. While well done and nicely illustrated there is a bit of a "me too" element to it. A little text heavy for the market segment, it will probably be better as a read-aloud. Also, why do we have to have so many of these collective biographies- surely a series of books more fleshed out would do better justice to the topic?
The book suffers from me having read it between "goodnight stories" and "Brazen" and didn't quite reach the heights of either.

I absolutely love these kind of books! I have read Bad Girls Throughout History and Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls and, along with this one, they are an absolute must-have for everyone's home library. Not only are they great for teaching young girls AND boys about all of the women who have done incredible and brave things throughout history, but they are a lot of fun, and the illustrations make them visual pleasures as well.

I especially liked this one because I hadn't heard of more than 90% of the featured women. I learned so much from the book and it took me to diverse cultures as it explored the many daring women all across the globe. I will definitely be purchasing this for my kids.

This is a great lineup of women from around the world who defied the rules and blazed their own paths in life! A must-read for any girl out there looking for inspiration from the girls who came before her. 5/5 stars.

This is a great book about interesting and unique women in history. Colorfully illustrated, it gives a brief biography on many women that are just not that well known and SHOULD be well known. Recommended.
