I did read a few Sherrilyn Kenyon novels in her Dark Hunters series that I enjoyed. After a certain number of books I confess that I stopped because I needed a renewal that I was lacking. I however had a good time with the series and when the announcement of a new one was made, I confess that I was intrigued. How not to be especially with the mention of pirates?
I did not expect it, but this series is a new spin off from the Dark Hunters series. We have some small references to the story and I found it nice enough to link everything in this way (but you can start with this series without a problem). In this novel, we follow many characters and especially a young woman who hopes to find her brother. In this way, we discover a crew of damned persons who sails on the waters to help Humanity.
I admit that I had a lot of trouble following all the characters, there may have been a lot for me and I was sometimes a little lost, especially if you add the nicknames of several of them . But it’s mostly a personal problem and I know it will be different for others. The idea of pirates, creatures was very interesting and I think the novel will appeal to many fans! I loved the ideas anyway, especially the links between the characters and I wonder how the whole will evolve especially after this end.
