It is time for bed and Yousuf's mommy has a wonderful idea - they will tell a bedtime story together, taking turns to imagine the world they dream up. There are many opportunities to be interactive (solving riddles, jumping, wiggling, etc.) and this book is a good way for children to use their brains, bodies, and imagination before bedtime. The illustrations are big and bright and colorful, depicting scenes like jumping into a giant strawberry pie, getting showered by elephants, and encountering a wacky pirate.

Yousuf loves bedtime with his mummy because he gets to use his imagination and go to some of the coolest and wild fun places ever. This little book helps parents in teaching their kids how to use their imaginations, although it is fun and playful it’s is also helpful in building a child's character. Allowing children to start thinking for themselves at an early age by using their imagination is a sure way of achieving this.

In general I really liked this story. There are some things that bug me. The main thing is that only sections rhyme. I would have thought it was a mistake, but it happens too frequently, mostly when mom is “talking”. But it doesn’t always happen when mom is “talking” and sometimes it happens in random background. Either make the entire thing rhyme, none of it rhyme, or have a clear dividing line of the rhyme. I really like how at the very back of the book they have a small info bit about the Qur’an. Nothing religious, just that Chapter 29 is titled the Qur’an and a little info about that chapter. It’s well placed and well done.

Imagination Time Travel: Mom directs her little son’s dreaming, but lets him choose the details, such as diving into a giant cherry pie and getting showered by elephants. The main point is solving a riddle, which from the end notes appears to be from the Koran. Not sure how many kids would have been able to solve it, or adults, for that matter.
Sometimes it rhymes, but not always.

This wonderful story encourages imagination and adventure, and it is brought to life with Yousuf and his mom.

This book shows an interesting way to engage a child. Instead of reading a bedtime story, the mom asks the kid to close his eyes and imagine the scenes as she says them. As someone who isn't very much familiar with Islam, it was great to see the book ending with a Quran verse. Would love to see more such books from the author.

I was sorry to see that this was not downloadable to Kindle.

It's bedtime for little Yousef. Instead of reading him a story she decides to play a game. The game is called Imagination Time Travel. Mommy start Yousef on his journey by starting a tale then it is up to him to complete his Imagination Travel. Along the way Yousef lands in a large strawberry pie, Elephants show him down with their long trunks. We meet Gerard a wacky pirate who gives Yousef a riddle to solve. And more.
This is a fun book to read the kids really enjoyed the words but they loved the illustrations. They pointed at things in the pictures, asked questions and mad their own comments. For such a short story it took us a while to read. After reading it they set down with the book and looked at it again.
I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com to read and review.
