Really enjoyed!! Good mystery element with great ambience of plot, location and characters. A good book to cozy up with any day of the week.

Sir Victor Hazlitt and Beresford Brandon are back again solving another crime. Of the three this was my least favorite. A lot of this mystery was far fetched. Gloria receives an anonymous threatening note and calls on Beresford to solve the mystery. When a murder occurs Beresford calls on Victor and of course Aunt Augusta has to join the fun as well. The author introduces us to everyone in the village and everyone disliked the 2nd victim. Unlike the previous mysteries they set out to solve the mystery without the help of local police. This book was way too long, there were way too many characters, and the solution to the mystery made no sense. The reader is not given all the information to solve the crime. Disappointing.

Nice twisty mystery with some surprises and keeps you guessing until the end.
