Silenced reflects on being a single mother in an urban client and the challenges they often face. . As hard as the mother tried, there is one daughter who learns about life the hard way. The book starts slow so I sat it aside for a while. It did not have a wow factor for me and it was hard to stay interested. The issues portrayed in this book reminded me of what many single mothers are going through trying to raise their children in such influential times.
