Fun character. Great to read with kids. Wonderful illistrations! Kids will love this character as he learns about things in his home, school, and life. Highly recommend!

Its colorful illustration, simple word choices make it a perfect choice of teaching tool for preschool parents and teachers.

The familiar bright colorful illustrations are sure to please toddlers and parents alike. L'heureux provides Caillou's background story which totally captivated my five year old granddaughter.
Highly recommended for the many Caillou fans.

Books in the Caillou series are always enjoyable. I would recommend to anyone.

This is an updated, more modern Calliou. My kids now 20 and 15 liked Calliou when they were younger. It was nice to see an updated version.

Well written for children to understand familyy and every day life of parents with children such as looking for baby names even if they sound unusual as we live in a muti culture society.Parents dealing with work snd dsy care facilites something thst children can relate too having structure in their lives.Well done.

This is a cute book where Caillou introduces us to his family including his sister, parents and grandparents. He also take us through his day from getting up, getting dressed, eating, brushing his teeth, going to daycare and playing with his little sister and his parents before going to bed. There is also a short bit about his parents trying to pick his name before he is born. A very simple story that young children would be able to identify with and compare their own lives to. This could be used as a bedtime story or one where you are trying to teach your child about family members and their names and relationship. A good addition to a family library or to use in a daycare of kindergarten classroom.

In what could be called a prequel, the latest in this long series goes back to the beginning, with the little imp introducing himself to say he’s just like you.
The best part is how it shows his parents thinking of his name before he was born. Another is the pride he takes in now being big and able to dress himself.
Simple “Day in the life of a little kid” story.

Charming, innocent, sweet with great illustrations!

If I wasn't already familiar with Caillou, then I probably wouldn't have picked this book up. There wasn't much special to the story and it left me wondering why I was even reading it. My three year old didn't seem interested in it either. The art was great, really along the lines of the Caillou I know. I gave the book three stars.

This little book is so adorable, the reader falls in love immediately with Caillou, through his stories and the cute illustrations.
The only suggestion, probably the wording should be more creative. I imagine that in French it sounds more natural.
I plan to check out the other Caillou books fo my son, preferably in hard copy. I am curious of they were published in more languages.
All in all, we loved this delightful book with my son. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This review is scheduled to be published on my blog on May 5th.

It's cute and very short. Toddlers and pre-K children will enjoy the simple story and introduction to Caillou and his family. Who knew Doris and Boris were the names of his mom and pop? For Caillou fans, this one will help round out a collection.

I remember watching the TV show as a kid and the book is a pleasant reminder of those days and innocence. Beautiful!
