I loved that that we got two books in one with this one. I love Officer Megan and Brigit. An officer and her K-9 partner who is pretty much the only partner who will willingly work with Megan. And what makes this book series is that you get chapters from Brigit's point of view. However, even though each mystery is a stand alone the series is better if read in order.
Forgot how much I love this series , it had me laughing my head off at some of the stuff Brigit did and got into .
This is a nice canine cozy mystery. My rating 4.25.
Megan Luz is a Fort Worth Police Officer who works with her canine partner, Brigit, a hundred-pound shepherd. Megan and Brigit have been through some dangerous and traumatic events. As Megan begins an evening shift she is called to respond to a call of a brick through a window. She meets Adriana who claims that her ex-boyfriend is harassing her. She made a previous complaint to another officer which was mostly ignored. Megan has Brigit follow the trail to determine that the perpetrator was in the corner of the garden. There the trail ends.
Megan takes the account seriously and heads off to interview the accused ex-boyfriend, Ryan. He has a similar brick on his doorstep and sneakers with dirt and tomato that match Adriana’s garden. Ryan is surprised the brick is gone and claims Adriana had the shoes and must have returned them trying to frame him.
As incidents of mischief continue back and forth, Megan is unable to determine which of the parties is lying. She consults her detective mentor in the station, and he agrees that her handling is good and she has to continue to search out the truth in the 'he said/she said' seesaw.
Meanwhile, Meghan has a second investigation going on as she tries to capture a purple lollipop thief. Meghan and Brigit trace the man dressed in surgical scrubs to the hospital where he disappears inside the emergency room. It might seem like a minor crime but Meghan is determined to catch the culprit.
I liked Meghan’s warm, open personality. Her romance with handsome, firefighter, Seth, is warming up and she is trying to deal with her hesitancy. I also enjoyed Brigit, the canine partner, and the interspersed chapters from Brigit’s viewpoint. The crimes being addressed are realistic with a touch of danger and, in the case of the thief, a touch humorous. The writing is clear, clean and makes an easy, quick read.
I have been eyeing this series because I like canine partners. This is an easy cozy mystery that I recommend to fans of these elements.

This is the only book I have read in the series and it was very good. I will now start at the first installment. It is very well written and I love the characters. It is a great book to spend the afternoon with.
Many thanks to St. Martin’s Press and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
The sixth book in the Paw Enforcement series by Diane Kelly. Officer Megan Luz and her K-9 partner Brigit investigate a stalking case. The case involves a former couple. He's claiming his ex-girlfriend is stalking him. She claims he's manipulating things, and he's the stalker.
Told with multiple points of view - Megan, Brigit, and the guilty party. I enjoy the humorous parts involving Brigit's viewpoint. The mystery is entertaining, and Megan has to do a little work to discover what is really going on with the former couple and their problems.
A delightful mystery. Likable characters in a fun story. This is an entertaining series, and I look forward to reading more of these books.
I received a free digital copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Enforcing the Paw is an engaging and entertaining book. Even though it was just two suspects in this mystery, one had to keep guessing for quite a while to figure it out. The Tootsie Pop bandit was also a fun subplot. What I also really liked about this book, was the alternate chapters, focusing on Megan, Brigit and The Devoted One, so one could get into the head of all three of them. It was especially fun with Brigit, the German Shepherd. I suspect I'm not the only one who has thought "if only dogs could talk human".
An entertaining and engaging look at paw enforcement. A female police officer and her K-9 partner see lots of action. Some fun relationships, too. After a breakup, who is stalking whom? Keeps you guessing.
These books were just so freaking cute! I've really enjoyed this series, and yeah, now I'm all caught up, so I'm really happy about that! I enjoyed being in a different couple's heads, and then back to Megan, Brigit, and the bad guy's! So great to read!
Love Unleashed was adorable, a kindergarten teacher with a haunted past, and a fireman who made a bad decision that ultimately led him on the path he was on. I just loved it so much, though with Frankie helping out, it makes me think that it's set after Enforcing the Paw, because that's when she got the job, instead of just taking the training.
One thing that I really loved, was that the main story line of Enforcing the Paw, the stalking and figuring out who is stalking whom, well, the call that Megan responded to, was at the end of Above the Paw, and that's where it ended, and that's where Enforcing the Paw starts! Really loved that!
This case was very frustrating, for everybody, even us readers, because we don't know who is doing what! Being in "The Devoted One"'s head didn't give away who it was. The back and forth, the not charging anyone because they don't know who did it, but ultimately, justice won out! So great!
I loved reading these books, and I can't wait for more, because there has to be more, with Seth and opening up, and his grandfather!
This was the funniest book I've read in awhile! My son and family will love this! A magical adventure!
I'm giving Enforcing the Paw a slightly higher star count than the other books I've read in the series. Despite there seeming to be only two suspects I was kept guessing as to who the guilty party was. It did go on slightly long for me though. I wanted just to skip to the end and find out who it was. There was a secondary crime that finished well, it could have been unbelievable without the last twist.

I received this book "Enforcing The Paw" from Netgalley for my honest review.
This is the first book I've read in the Paw Enforcement series. Megan Luz and her K9 partner Brigit are investigating the case. This was a "cute" story and was a good read but not something that I would stay up late for. Not sure if it is because I haven't read the previous books. Of course I love German Shepherds so that got me interested in this book.
I thoroughly enjoy reading about Officers Megan and Brigit and the mysteries they face. The Tootsie Pop bandit in this one was definitely a new twist! The character development for Megan, Seth, and Frankie helps keep the reader involved - as do Brigit's romps with Blast and other creatures. I didn't find myself laughing aloud as often as usual, but I still enjoyed Kelly's skill in adding humor to otherwise serious and dangerous situations. I look forward to seeing what Megan and Brigit do next!

Enforcing the Paw stars Megan Luz and her K9 partner, Brigit, who are on the case of the he-said/she-said which turns criminal. While investigating stalking reports of a recently broken up couple who accuse each other of stalking can Megan and Brigit discover the truth before someone dies. Do you want to know who the culprit is? Spoilers are not my style because I really didn't figure it out until the end and I think you need to read this to find out yourself.
I love this fun series by Diane Kelly which has a great plot line and well written characters. This is the 6th book and can be read as a stand-alone but I suggest you read all of the series.
Paw Enforcement is book ( 6) in the series. This book can read as a stand alone as the author does a wonderful job of setting the characters and story for any new readers. . I do recommend the entire series.
In this next in series we start out with our protagonist Officer Megan Luz and her canine partner, ( protagonist ) Sergeant Brigit of the Fort Worth Police Department are on the night shift. They take a call of vandalism that turns into a domestic violence call and possibly a stalking. As she investigates the fearless duo also try to catch a bandit near local hospitals who is stealing candy from local stores. This is the perfect blend of a mystery, a little humor and two wonderful protagonist, Brigit is a wonderful dog and fun to read about in each book. All in all a great addition to this fun series and a enjoyable read.
Thank you for the ARC which did not influence my review.

The Paw Enforcement series is delightfully different, depicting the day to day experiences of Megan and her k-9 partner Brijit. As uniformed officers, most of their day is spent on writing citations, investigating robberies and other non-homicide crimes. The stories have just the right balance of seriousness and humor. And Brijit is a dog lover’s dream. I love the chapters that are written from her perspective. Even the romance aspect between Seth and Megan is perfect, neither over nor under done.
Enforcing the Paw is an excellent addition to the series, tackling a difficult case of ex vs ex. The woman insists her ex is stalking her but her ex insists the same thing. The evidence is inconclusive, but the situation is escalating. There is realism in that there are situations which aren’t clear cut. Police officers often have to make decisions based on incomplete or inconclusive evidence. Diane Kelly makes the inherent difficulties clear as Megan and Brijit struggle to find out the truth. Whenever I read one of Diane Kelly’s novels, I know I can expect a well thought out plot. There are also dashes of humor, such as Megan’s pursuit of the tootsie roll bandit. I also like the way Diane Kelly showcases the various ways a k-9 is trained and the tasks they perform. Brijit is smart, capable, but still very much a dog who is at times incorrigible and who is always sweet and funny.
If you love dogs and mysteries or are simply looking for a different type of cozy, look no further. I highly recommend Enforcing the Paw.

Enforcing the Paw by Diane Kelly is the sixth A Paw Enforcement Novel. Officer Megan Luz and her canine partner, Sergeant Brigit of the Fort Worth Police Department are on the night shift when they respond to a call of a broken window. Adriana Valdez claims her ex-boyfriend, Ryan is responsible for the vandalism and that this is not the first incident. Megan goes to Ryan’s apartment where she finds evidence that implicates him in the crime. Ryan, though, claims that Adriana has been harassing him, and she is framing him for the crime. Ryan has an order of protection against Adriana. This is just the beginning of a he said/she said case that is going to test Megan’s detective skills. Is the guilty party the creepy Ryan or the drab, neat freak Adriana? Megan has another case that is equally perplexing. A man in hospital scrubs, scrub cap, and mask is stealing grape Tootsie pops from convenience stores near two hospitals. The man knows the area well and manages to escape each time Brigit and Megan track him. Why would an adult steal lollipops? When Megan is not working, she is spending time with her boyfriend, Seth and his dog, Blast. Megan has noticed that Seth is slowly leaving things at her place (toiletries and clothes). Megan needs to decide if she is ready to escalate their relationship? Life is never dull for Megan and Brigit. See how things turn out in Enforcing the Paw.
Enforcing the Paw is a delight to read. I found it to be well-written, engaging, and moved along at a fast clip. The book is written in the first person. The chapters alternate between Megan’s, Brigit’s and The Devoted One’s (the person responsible for the attacks on Ryan and Adriana) point-of-view. Brigit’s chapters are humorous and will have readers chuckling. They provide a light element that injects whimsy into the story. Enforcing the Paw may be the sixth book in the series, but it can be read alone (easily). All the necessary facts are provided on Megan and Brigit along with some key details from the previous novels. My rating for Enforcing the Paw is 5 out of 5 stars. The identity of The Devoted One is not difficult to figure out, but that did not stop my enjoyment of the story. I was riveted from beginning to end (and got a little miffed when I was interrupted). I do want to mention there is some mild swearing in the book. I wish it was not included, but it does go with the characters. Enforcing the Paw has a great ending. I have read all the books in A Paw Enforcement series, and Enforcing the Paw is my favorite. Now I must wait (impatiently) for the next book to be released.
This is a great book; this is the sixth book in the Paw Enforcement series and written by Diane Kelly. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
I love this series. Brigit and her best K9 buddy Blast are back with their humans Police woman Megan and firefighter Seth. Megan and Brigit are investigating a stalker who they are pretty sure is a woman scorned. The alternating chapters narrated by Megan and Brigit have you laughing out loud. I find myself reading faster to get to Brigit's chapters. So much fun to keep up with this team. Diane Kelly has hit a perfect format .
Enforcing the Paw, an adorable name for what I thought would be a cute, cozy mystery. !Wrong!
Enforcing the Paw by Diane Kelly is a top notch mystery centered around stalking.
When a relationship gone bad turns into a serious stalking situation and both parties weave believable stories. Who is the victim and who is the perpetrator?
K-9 officer Megan and her loyal partner Brigit are kept on their toes, literally, chasing suspects and working stake-outs.
I loved this book! It was so exciting and it kept me excited until the very end.
I hope others enjoy this book as much as I have.
5 paws up for this fantastic book😻
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book provided by the publisher and NetGalley.
Megan is a police officer in Fort Worth, Texas. Her partner is Brigit, a German Shepherd. The majority of their job is patrolling the streets and responding to calls.
They get a call from Adriana that someone has thrown a brick through one of her windows and she suspects it was her ex-boyfriend, Ryan, because he hasn't gotten over their break-up. When Megan goes to Ryan's apartment, she discovers evidence that makes her suspect that it was indeed Ryan. But Ryan says it's Adriana who is the crazy one and is trying to frame him. Both make a strong case and Megan doesn't know who to believe. As things happen and the situation escalates, Megan bounces back and forth thinking it could be either one of them.
In the meantime, Megan and Brigit are also trying to track down a thief who disguises himself in hospital garb, robs convenience and gas stations and only steals grape suckers.
I've read many books by this author and I liked this one. Though it's the sixth in the Paw Enforcement series, it can work as a stand alone and you don't have to read the others to know what's going on (there is enough background provided).
I liked the writing style ... it was amusing at times. It is written in first person perspective from Megan's point of view and third person perspective from Brigit's point of view (which is funny) and the Devoted One's perspective. As a head's up, there is swearing.
I like Megan. She's gotten more confident as time goes on. Brigit funny and likeable and it's fun to get into her head. Though she is a trained police dog, she can be naughty when she wants to be (especially if there are treats or squirrels involved).
