I like each Andy Carpenter novel better than the last. They're laugh out loud funny! All the characters are well written with wonderful fiobles, like irreverent and master of sarcasm Andy, and silent but effective Marcus. Plus there's dogs, and who doesn't like dogs better than people!! I'm usually pretty good figuring out "who did it", but David Rosenfelt is even better at twisting the plot, and im always happily surprised at the endings.

There is nothing I look forward to more than a new book in the Andy Carpenter series. The book, despite dealing with serious issues, is laugh out loud funny and with a fast paced compelling plot and a chance to reunite with characters like Andy, his wife Laurie and son Ricky and the other members of his group like Marcus, Willie and Hike, this is a superior series. Andy's essential goodness and love for his golden Tara and dogs in general adds some additional charm to the series. I just love them all, have turned several friends on to the series already and I can't recommend them highly enough.
