This is a brilliant, sexy, sizzling read. Good to read to brighten up these miserable summer days. It's the love story of Sutton and Wyatt. Sutton has just found out that her fiancé is cheating on her with her best friend, Bella. Wyatt happened to be there when Sutton found out and totally out of character for her, she asks him to be her pretend boyfriend!. The story works really well and with Wyatt having three sexy brothers! There is surely room for a sequel or two!

I’ve seen a few reviews where people have had a problem with Sutton – I think they feel like she didn’t put as much effort in or that she took advantage of Wyatt.  But relationships aren’t always even.  Sometimes you are having a bad time of it, like Sutton, and need the support.  Wyatt does a fantastic job of being there for her, even when it’s not easy for him, and helping her find her mojo.

You get the feeling she’s never really had anyone push her or challenger her to be the person she wants to be.  Instead she’s just done the expected thing and floated through life.  With the discovery of being cheated on, not just by her fiancé but her best friend, things are turned upside down.  Luckily Wyatt is there to catch her and help her find her place.  He’s just hoping it will be by his side …

Wyatt comfortable in his own skin and has a good idea of who he is.  It’s his family that has a bit of the drama going on.  Ever since his dad died things haven’t been easy for the brothers and it seems to be getting worse.  Having Sutton ask him to be her fake boyfriend, something that he wouldn’t mind making real, is a good diversion from the more difficult things at home.

It’s those problems at home that you know will turn into some great future stories  :)  The closeness among Wyatt’s brothers (or at least most of the brothers) is heart-warming but also got me very curious about what things they are hiding from each other.  Trentham yet again creates an interesting group of people with a lot of potential.

If you love small town charm, quirky characters, and touching love stories, Trentham's Cottonbloom series is a must read - she is definitely making a name for herself as a go-to author of southern contemporary romances.   While this is part of a bigger series, Leave the Night On is the start of a new subsection and can easily stand on its own so those that are new to this little divided town definitely have a great place to start.  And it means that you are all set to enjoy all the delicious goodness that the Abbott brothers are sure to bring!  (But don't blame me if you find yourself adding a whole lot of her backlist to your TBR pile  :) )

BTW, for those that worry about the apparent one-sidedness of their relationship, the epilogue does a good job of showing exactly how well Sutton gets Wyatt.

Leave The Night On was my first visit to Cottonbloom, but it certainly won’t be my last! A seductive Southern charmer that has got keeper written all over it, Leave The Night On is a fabulous read that touches the heart and tickles the funny bone!

When Sutton Mize decided to have her fiance’s Camaro restored, the last thing she had imagined was finding a lace thong in the classic car which did not belong to her, but to her best friend! In one second, Sutton’s hopes and dreams for a rosy future with her fiance are cruelly dashed, but luckily for her Wyatt Abbott witnesses this most embarrassing moment and a wonderful plan is hatched: Sutton’s two-timing cheating fiance is going to get a taste of his own medicine and she is going to pretend that she also has a lover – and Wyatt is the perfect man for the job!

Wyatt has had a crush on Sutton for years and he is flabbergasted that her fiance could have the gall to cheat on somebody as beautiful as her. When Sutton tells him of her plan to become pretend lovers, Wyatt has got no qualms about stepping into the role he has been dreaming about ever since he was a kid – the only problem is that he cannot help but wish that he was Sutton’s boyfriend for real! As their fictional love affair and their pretend kisses give way to something deeper and far more real than either one of them imagined, Sutton and Wyatt find themselves wondering whether they should make their convenient arrangement a reality…

Has true love been under Sutton’s nose all along? Or will she let this chance at happiness slip through her fingers?

If you like romantic comedies, you are going to love Laura Trentham and Leave The Night On! A writer who is well on her way to becoming as big a name in the genre as Jill Shalvis and Rachel Gibson, Leave The Night On sizzles with delicious repartee, wicked sensuality, red-hot chemistry, rib-tickingly humour and feel-good romance.

Society queen Sutton is a fantastic heroine you will root for and sexy Wyatt is a wonderfully sexy hero who proves that nice guys are certainly more than a match for their brooding Alpha counterparts.

A sensational read that I absolutely adored, Leave the Night On is a stellar romantic comedy that ticks all the right boxes!

I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest and fair review. This book tells the story of Wyatt Abbott, a mechanic, and Sutton Mize, a judge’s daughter. Wyatt has had a crush on Sutton since they were kids, but being from the wrong side of Cottonbloom, he never acted on it. Well that isn’t entirely true, he acted on it in the sense that, like a young boy does, he teased her and played pranks on her, but Sutton appropriately interpreted this as him being mean rather than him liking her. Now that they’re all grown, Sutton brings her fiance’s car into Wyatt’s family shop to get renovated. She’s completely thrown for a loop when she finds another woman’s panties under the front seat of the car. She’s thrown for an even bigger loop when her fiance (Andrew) admits to everything she feared, and so in a spur-of-the-moment decision Sutton tells Andrew that she doesn’t really care anyway since she’s been fooling around with Wyatt. And so begins a tangled web of lies that really only end up acting as a cover for Sutton and Wyatt’s growing infatuation. But with a relationship that began on so many unfounded facts (aka lies), can they really build something lasting?

Overall I like this book okay. It was a pretty solid read for a romance novel, it didn’t do anything to wow or surprise me but at the same time I did enjoy it for the most part. Some of the conversations are a bit cheesy, and the miscommunication between the hero and heroine was frustrating since the reader can read their thoughts the whole time. Books like that I always get frustrated thinking ‘if you could just be honest with each other we wouldn’t have these issues.’ Maybe that’s something that we as humans should strive more for is being honest with people around us whether we know them super well or not. But I think that’s a talk for another time. Anyways Wyatt and Sutton’s love story was sweet and cute and I like the setting of the book especially. This one had a bit of a Grease (like the musical) feel to it since the goody-two-shoes girl is a good influence on the guy and the guy is a little bit of a bad influence on the girl (just enough to let her experience some different things). In the end they develop great affection for each other and it’s a pretty good love story. I would recommend, especially in connection with the series, which I enjoy.

Wow! I loved this sweet, low angst, opposites attract romance. Laura Trentham's storytelling is beautiful and compelling. Her main characters are irresistibly likable with just as essential secondary characters. With the pull of summer, I have had a difficult time staying connected with my reading choices. Yet, once I started Leave the Night On, I didn't want to stop. The story, characters, and small-town life pulled me in and kept me mesmerized. Although this is the 4th story in the Cottonbloom series, it was my first book. It absolutely stands on it's own. Since I do own all of the other books in the series, I will be devouring them soon. Simply put, this was a wonderfully written, sweetly romantic and fun story that cements Trentham as a favorite author. (This is a voluntary review of an advanced

LEAVE THE NIGHT ON (Cottonbloom: #4) Written by Laura Trentham

AUGUST 1, 2016; 350 Pages (St. Martin's Paperbacks)
Genre: romance, contemporary, small town, series

(I received an ARC from the PUBLISHER via NETGALLEY in exchange for an honest review.)

Rating: ★★★ 1/2

We return to Cottonbloom, but this time we meet the Abbott brothers - four brothers running their family business - fixing and restoring cars. Wyatt Abbott, one of the twins, is set to work on Sutton Mize's fiance's car for a big commission for the shop. As he empty's the car's glove compartment he accidentally unleashes heartbreak for Sutton. They find receipts for fancy dinners and a thong underwear that was custom made by Sutton for her best friend, Bree. When Andrew, Sutton's finace, and Bree confront Sutton together she tells them she has been cheating too...with Wyatt.
Wyatt, who has always had a thing for Sutton as kids, readily agrees and the two end up falling for each other.

I really liked this one! I found Wyatt so endearing and I could relate to Sutton (like I could with Tally). Even though I knew they were destined for a HEA I was invested in seeing how they would get there. We do see some of the characters from the first three books come through so it is a nice surprise if you have read them before. If not, they just seem like random characters with some importance and they are overly described for the part they play. I recommend this series...and is perfect for the remaining weeks of Summer.

Love this small Southern town! It's full of charm and excitement. Love Wyatt, hot, hot, hot! You're rooting for them from the beginning even though it starts off with them more of an arrangement. I can't wait for the next trip to Cottonbloom!

Sutton Mize brought her fiance’s Camaro to the Abbot’s Garage to have it checked, but found an incriminating evidence inside the car – a laced thong that didn’t belong to her, but to her best friend.

To save face, she told her ex-lover that she’d been dating the hunky mechanic Wyatt Abbott and stirred gossip around Cottonbloom. It wasn’t until they realized they were using each other to get what they needed.

This is just the kind of sweet and exciting story I need to read after a stressful day. Wyatt Abbott could be my newest book boyfriend and stress-reliever. Gotta love a man who knows cars and cherish ’em. Although, despite the fact that I’ve read multitudes of stories about pretend lovers ultimately falling in love in the end, it was their journey on how they realized their feelings for each other that really get me everytime.

Sutton and Wyatt are from opposite sides of Mississippi but this didn’t hinder them from taking chances on their feelings. Thanks to Sutton’s cheating fiance and conniving best friend, she found herself crying in the arms of Wyatt, her childhood friend and apparently a longtime secret admirer.

Wyatt Abbott really got me, hook, line and sinker. I thought he was quite naive in love, despite his reputation as a ladies man. Sutton is a little snob, due to her lavish upbringing. I wasn’t quite smitten with her in the beginning but she earned my trust at the end of the book.

Cheers to another great story from the Cottonbloom series by Laura Trentham! Can’t wait to read Jackson’s story next!

When I picked this book up I didn’t realize it was part of a series. However, I don’t think the books have to be read in order, they just might give a little background on some of the characters in town.
I like how this one town sits on the state line between Mississippi and Louisiana. It has that “other side of the tracks” type mentality but that doesn’t stop people when they are in love from finding each other. Such is the case of Sutton and Wyatt – they went to school together and Wyatt has always had a thing for Sutton. It is just good timing that she bring a car to him to be restored and he finds evidence of her fiance’s betrayal which only works to his benefit!
But of course the path to true love can never be easy and both Sutton and Wyatt have different things to deal with from their past (or their reputation) but of course love is going to win.
This was a fun read and it felt like a town that I wouldn’t mind visiting and perhaps living in..although I’m not sure I would want to be related to a majority of the town.
We give this 4 paws up!

Fiance (or boyfriend) cheating with best friend may not be a unique story line, but the way this flirty and sexy, yet sweet and heart-warming romance is carried out is. Impressed and relieved Trentham avoided the cliche rich-parents-don’t-approve-of-the-lower-class-lover, I read this one-sitting read with a smile on my face and anticipation in my heart. Bring on the rest in the series!

Sutton Mize is as unique as her name. She is the privileged daughter of a judge- the town’s only judge it seems- but she’s warm and caring. Her vulnerable side is on full display and she has a surprising, yet believable mix of confidence and questionable self-esteem. Totally human and lovable.

The same can be said about Wyatt. Sweet, chivalrous, loyal, alpha-male Wyatt is what most women dream of. He may not be rich, but he works hard and makes an honest living. He wears his heart on his sleeve, but he’s strong and doesn’t play games. He faces challenges with decency and respect, and he stands up for himself and those he loves. These two made my heart sing and I absolutely, totally adored them both.

Aunts Hazel and Hyacinth made their mark. They’re funny and memorable, and I’d love to read more about them. Mack and Jackson also have my attention, and I can’t wait to see what’s up with Willa. There has to be a story there. Andrew was the typical jackass of an arrogant ex, and I was thankful the story didn’t revolve around him getting revenge or trying to ruin her and her family. Another avoided cliche, just like the way the situation with Bree was handled – all testaments to Trentham’s excellent writing skills.

A definite must-read!

Iam a huge fan of Laura Trentham books ever since I read the very first book in the cotton bloom series I have been hooked. When I got the chance to read this book I basically devoured it in a few hours and omg It was fantastic .We see Sutton and Wyatt fall in love in some very peculair situations and I just loved that I thought the romace in this book was sexy, fun and honest I rooted for this couple to be together just from the very first words they exchanged and it made so happy to know they got a story that was just perfect for them . Besides the romance, there was just so much other things gooing on in this book that just had me so wrapped up the small town setting and all of the many antics that go on in there. I also loved, that we got to look at topics like forgivness as well and they way it was shown in the book is something I rarely ever see. I loved Leave the Night on and was so very sad to see this story end and at the same time Iam so excited to get my hands on the next book, Laura Trentham if you are reading this and you want to give me the next book right now that would be wonderful. If you are looking for a sexy , sweet small town romance that is filled with so much heart then you should definately get a copy of Leave the Night on as soon as you can.

A very good book about two people one Wyatt Abbott who owns a garage along with his four brothers. They live over the river in Louisiana. The other side of the river is Mississippi and that is where Sutton Mize lives and owns a boutique. Her father is a judge and everyone knows the Abbotts and their garage. She also knows Wyatt from school and thinks that he hates her but when it is explained later in the story you can tell it was just a country boy having a crush on a city girl. Who doesn’t likes snakes not all of them are piousness, and they are better than giving her a salamander, which I agree. She didn’t like the snake. Now years later she is bringing her fiancés classic Camaro in for restoration as his wedding present. Wyatt suggests that they go through it before she leaves it and upon looking he finds a women’s undergarments under the seat. Thinking that they were hers he shows them to her but alas they are hers but she knows who’s they are since she ordered them out of her boutique special order her so called best friend. The best friend who is supposed to give her a ride back into town which Wyatt tells her he will take her back. Now the fun begins later that night when her fiancé confronts her thinking he did nothing wrong, but when the other women shows up also, she tells them that she and Wyatt have been seeing each other for some time now as well. Neither of them believe her and later that night she tells Wyatt what she did and could he be her boyfriend for the next few events that are coming where she needs a date. Not knowing that he has been in love with her since they were kids he agrees, even if it means his heart shattering into pieces at the end. Along the way she finds things out about Wyatt and his family, but also she is trying to work things out with herself and yet when he tells her though words “I love you” it is the girl that runs not the guy. Now she must decide what to do before it is too late. A very good story that actually gets better as you go along. Excellent characters, and very good scenes that are both funny and sad at times. Overall a very good book.

I was so happy to be back in Cottonbloom! Leave The Night On is definitely a great addition to the series. New characters are introduced, promising more stories to tell, and there are some cameo appearances of the Fournette family. Laura Trentham’s writing is fantastic. This author really has an impressive way of evolving her characters until you feel you’re reading about people you know. Her characters are vibrant and easy to love (I’ll make an exception for the villain of this story).

Sutton Mize is the daughter of a prominent family from the posh Mississippi side of Cottonbloom. Wyatt Abbott is a car mechanic from the working-class Louisiana side. When Sutton is betrayed by both her fiancé and her best friend, Wyatt offers his help to get even with them. Sutton and Wyatt are no strangers to each other, but have never been on friendly terms, partly due to Wyatt’s awkward attempts to attract Sutton’s attention when they were teenagers. More separated them than just the river, they never moved in the same circles.

Sutton feels vulnerable and hurt. When she rather thoughtlessly tells her cheating fiancé that she is romantically involved with Wyatt, they start a fake relationship they both consider as a short-lived business arrangement. I enjoyed the slow burn building of their relationship. Sutton is irresistibly drawn to Wyatt by feelings that have nothing to do with logic or reason. She enjoys his luminous personality, his honesty and his kindness. But she doesn’t trust easily and needs time to heal the pain from the betrayal. Wyatt is willing to wait, he isn’t one to back down from a challenge.

This sweet and charming look at love, set in a quirky small town, was a delightful read and a definite keeper on my shelf. I loved everything about this story, the characters, the storytelling, the pace, the perfect balance between emotions and humor. The cast of secondary characters add depth and warmth to the story. Wyatt’s twin aunts are something else and I can’t wait to read more about the Abbott brothers, although I’m not sure if Laura Trentham will manage to redeem the eldest one, Ford Abbott. If you enjoy small town romances, I highly recommend this book! If you haven’t started the series yet, this story works perfectly well as a standalone.
An advanced copy of this book was provided by the publisher, via NetGalley.

When I learned that there would be new books in the Cottonbloom Series, I thought it was a joke. A very cruel joke because I absolutely loved this series and it was a highlight of my 2016 summer. I was off the walls excited to return to my favourite small town romance world.

I adored Leave the Night On. It has one of my all time favourite tropes, the fake relationship, and it is executed flawlessly. These two has sizzling chemistry from the start and I loved watching them fall deeper and deeper for each other. They were perfect for each other and I couldn't help but root for them to get together.

And the plot was excellent as well. It had that perfect balance between character development and romantic development. These two had a lot of growth to do as characters and I loved that they did so not only together but independently as well. I had a very hard time putting this one down!

And of course, we got just enough of a taste of what's to come that I cannot wait until the next Abbott brother gets his story.
