More scintillating sexy times as well as more danger and suspense. Plenty of moments of quiet and reflection between Shane and Emily then boom, the story blows up and it gets action packed. I did like reading more of some of the the other characters like Derek, it was good to see more of them and their interactions. I will say this book ends on a cliff hanger, but this is a a series you need to read from the start and you will be glad you did,so do not panic. I have full faith the author is going to deliver with another great book in the series.

To say this series has completely captivated me is an understatement! While book 1, Hard Rules, had me scratching my head a little, book 2, Damage Control, got that under control and started to suck me in, and then lord have mercy, Bad Deeds comes along and has me totally enthralled and on edge. So many things happened that I never saw coming!

This book was so intense, so passionate, so heart-pounding! Just when you think all the secrets and lies have been exposed, Ms. Jones throws in even more twists to keep us on our toes. I read this book in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down! I really love how this story has come together, with Shane and Emily forging a united front in the fight to keep the Brandon empire under family control. With not only his father and brother fighting against him, the Martina cartel is becoming more forceful in their quest to further infilitrate the company, and now there's a new player on the scene set on causing even more havoc. This really is a chess game brought to life!

Bad Deeds is full of twists and turns, surprising revelations, and one heck of a cliffhanger! Lisa Renee Jones sure knows how to get her readers invested in a story, as we're left wanting, no needing, the final chapter in the Brandon family saga. I swear these books are better than any serial drama on television today!

3.5 stars! Bad Deeds is the third book in this continuing series by Lisa Renee Jones. It is not only a continuing series, but each story is continued from the last. I will start off this review by saying I am really tired of continuing stories like this and so my review will be reflected by that. This is my fault. Even though I have read the previous 2 books, (however, I did read them back to back), I should know better than to request a book that is not even the ending of the story, but leaves us with another cliffhanger. As Ms. Jones states in the forward, do not read this book if you have not read the previous 2 books. It will make no sense even as she gives a review of what has happened so far and who the continuing characters are. The story continues with Shane and Emily trying to fight off evil to make this lives safe and good. Throughout their love shines though. Evil consists of the Mexican Cartel and those who are trying to use their company for gain. I wish I could say I loved this series, but I am personally weary of it. Again, this is my fault, and if you have loved the previous 2 books, and don't mind waiting months for the next one, this is a great series. It is well written with believable characters. I don't think I will be willing to wait 4-6 months for the ending! Thanks as always to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this for an honest review.

Bad Deeds is the third book and thought to be the last in this series. But, it is no longer the last and ended on an OMG Cliff hanger! And, according to Lisa Renee Jones she didn’t know it would end this way either.

Bad Deeds had this grip on me that made me not want to put it down! This book seemed like it was coming to a normal ending and then WHAM I did not see this one coming. There is a huge twisted ending.

Thank you, Lisa Renee Jones for the beginning recap and a list of the characters. It is very helpful when it has been a little while since I have read the first 2 books and the many other books in between that I have read.

Bad Deeds is a continuation of the Dirty Money Series and is Brandon Family saga. Shane Brandon is still trying to turn around his family’s empire and get the drug cartel out of his family’s business. Shane is dealing with his father and brother still. Emily sticks by Shane’s side as he tries to right a wrong. She is also Shane’s weakness.

I really have enjoyed reading this series and again find myself having to wait for the next book. I am hoping we don’t have a long wait. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I give Bad Deeds 5 stars.

My thoughts about this book are all over the place right now! On one hand, it was a little over 300 pages of chaos and turmoil that picks up right where the previous book left off. But for everything that was happening on those pages, it felt like everyone was essentially treading water and just circling each other until the last several chapters.

The game of cat and mouse with a side of intrigue continues as Shane tries to make the puzzle pieces fit. Who can he trust besides Emily? And does she truly trust him? Where does his mother's loyalty truly lie? How much of a loose cannon is his brother, and just how extremely screwed are they thanks to Derek's association with the Martina cartel? How does Teresa fit into the equation, and do her loyalties lie with Derek or Adrian?

As if that is not enough, Brandon Senior continues to move chess pieces around the board with an endgame only he can see, and the whole family appears to be nothing more than pawns in that game. Then when you least expect it, facades crack just a little bit to reveal humanity beneath the surface in some and the monsters inside of others are revealed. Through all the turbulence Emily is Shane's port in the storm where he can find a little peace but he worries he will have to cross lines to keep her safe that will make her hate him in the end.

The ending is heckuva doozy! There is still one thing that is nagging at the back of my mind that hasn't been addressed here though. Where the heck is Emily's brother in all of this, and is he going to pop up in some unexpected way to throw a wrench in Shane's plan? And now that Shane is ready to burn the world down after the events of the last few chapters, does that plan still exist? That's a whole lot of questions and I guess we will have to wait a few more months to find out!

This is the third book in the Dirty Money Series. Bad Deeds picks up right where Damage Control leaves us. The dinner Brandon Senior has told Shane, Derek, and Emily to be at. Lisa never disappoints with her books and this is no different. Shane and Emily's story is hot, scary, and a lot of family drama. Bad Deeds did have me yelling no at the end of the book with the cliffhanger. You can't help but to look for the next book, End Game.

That cliffy about killed me!!

The relationship between Shane and Emily keeps solidifying and getting stronger here in Bad Deeds. There's more drama, more intrigue, more action, more steam, more everything. This is definitely my favorite installment of this series so far.

I like that one of the characters does some serious growth and changes my opinion, a little, of them. It's not something I expected and took me by surprise. I'm wondering if they will get their own story.

Shane is still fighting to take his family's empire onto the right side of the law, and it's taking its toll on him. That dark side that he was fighting so hard in Damage Control is making more and more appearances and Emily is starting to wonder if it will take control of him. After the batshit crazy ending of Bad Deeds I'm having to wonder, too. If it does, though, it will most certainly be the end of not just Shane, but of Shane and Emily.

I'm pretty mad at Lisa that I have to wait until January, yes, JANUARY!!! to see what happens to Emily and Shane and how everything will play out. I'll be a serious wreck by then. Perhaps she'll cut us a break and release it earlier? Pretty please with sugar and cherries on top?!?

Lisa Renee Jones definitely turned up the intensity for this installment of the Dirty Money series. Each quiet moment slowly lulled me into a sense of contentment when I should have been preparing for the other shoe to drop. And let me tell you... LRJ drops MANY shoes!! The cartel has brought the heat, the family has somehow come together, and Shane and Emily are stronger than ever.

I'm going to keep this brief to avoid spoiling it for anyone, however, I did want to share 'a few of my favorite things':
➥ these two counting I love yous
➥ everything to do with Shane, such as his charm, his determination, his integrity, his morals, his heart, and the way he just exudes sexiness
➥ Cody and Jessica ~ will they get a story?
➥ the opportunity to get to see Derek in a different light. Who knew that I'd end up sympathizing with this man???

It seems that I'm always the fool when it comes to cliffhangers and so the end of this book came as quite the surprise for me. Get ready for a doozy and cross your fingers that End Game comes out ASAP!!

Romantic suspense doesn't get any better than this! Shane and Emily continue to battle all that is closing in on them while trying to hold on to each other. The Brandon family empire is truly on the brink of disaster and leaves Shane questioning himself, his feelings about family, and just how deep he's willing to pull Emily under. This story is full of suspense, intrigue, and sexy romance. Just when you think you know where the series is going, the author throws you a curve-ball, culminating in a shocking plot twist cliffhanger that will have you ready for the new year to hurry up so you can see how it turns out in End Game. The Dirty Money series is one not to be missed!

4.5 stars!

Bad Deeds, the third book in the Dirty Money series, picks up where Damage Control ended. Emily's life is still in danger, the business is as corrupt as ever, and Shane is trying to right the wrongs his family brought to the table while keeping everyone safe.

There are so many games being played in this book that it is easy to find yourself fully emerged in its complexity.  It's hard to know who is friend and who is foe, and with rules that are continuously changing, there is no way to know which side will come out on top. There are twists weaved throughout the story making the important decisions all the more difficult and you'll find yourself questioning everything alongside the characters because nothing is as it seems.

"Promises, even well-intended ones, are like water in a cracked glass. One wrong lift or squeeze and it shatters, and in this case, with potentially bloody consequences."

Emily and Shane are back and better than ever. The passion and strength of their love is heartwarming and I felt the intensity of their connection as they take on the challenges they face together. They truly listen and understand one another, and they are fully committed and would risk everything for each other. They don't just connect romantically but rather stay strong as partners in every aspect of their lives.

“You aren’t my weakness,” he says softly, but somehow vehemently. “You’re just the opposite. You’re the complete contradiction to everything that is this family, and you remind me of the change I’m fighting for.”

They are a united force and unstoppable when they are together but they are tested as the game gets more complicated. Difficult decisions and surprising actions are made and lines will be crossed.

"Give me everything or nothing. I can’t do in between...Stop holding things back from me. I want the good, bad, and ugly."

Emily's actions are realistic and true to her nature. She is vulnerable and her emotions and fears are very much believable. But she is brave and strong and I loved her confidence. I love that she continually backs Shane yet doesn't shy away from letting her own opinions be known. She is the person who makes a difference and the only one perfect for Shane.

"She whispers my name and everything else fades. There is just the here and now. There is just Emily. She is the sunshine that was never supposed to exist in this storm I’m living. A calming breeze in the heat of demand, and still she manages to be fire in my blood. In this moment, I know it’s with her that I will always find me. With her, I will always escape them."

Shane's unwavering determination to protect Emily and take back the company is gallant. He's smart, sexy, and a total alpha who would do anything for her. When he's hit with life changing decisions that challenge his morals, the line dividing good and bad, right and wrong, is blurred.

"There is something beneath his surface, a darkness—anger, even. I wonder what will happen when it surfaces.
And who will get hurt."

All that Shane and Emily are give me hope that they will persevere no matter what is thrown their way, especially the brutal, heartstopping cliffhanger that has left me desperate for the fourth book, End Game.

Bad Deeds picks up right where Damaged Control ended. Emily and Shane have decided to weather the storm despite the danger that is plowing straight towards them. They are gathered at his family’s house for dinner and it is nothing short of an all out verbal brawl. Eventually, with the Cartel’s influence over the family’s business, they all realize they must come together. They all may be family but they are also enemies as well.

Emily and Shane’s relationship is still going good. I’m rooting for their HEA but it is so hard with the many obstacles that they face. There is so much going on with the family, the cartel and all of the drama. The book starts off with a lot of information dumping again but things rev up and the drama explodes.

Shane is so charming and swoon-worthy. He is not just this lusty beefcake as I had conjured him up in my mind from previous reads. He is more emotional. He is willing to risk getting burned by his family and everyone else for Emily. He sees her as his asset and not just a liability or a threat.

He’s angry. I hear it in the bit of his voice, feel it in the tension in his body. That’s the emotion he feels, and that comes from his certainty that his father is lying. I don’t even think it’s real. This is about fear, fear that he will feel hope and discover it’s false. I step to him, aligning our legs. “Shane-“

“You aren’t my weakness,” he says softly, but somehow vehemently. “You’re just the opposite. You’re the complete contradiction to everything that is this family, and you remind me of the change I’m fighting for.”

I can’t believe that I’m saying this but I feel some sort of sympathy for Derek. He is still a hard character to like. However, LRJ shows a new side to him. We learn more about him and Teresa. I’m warming up to him…well let me say that I’m a bit more intrigued. I also want more of Jessica and Cody. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if I need a book solely on them.

Spoiler Alert: This ends in the mother of cliffhangers. I’m not a fan of cliffhangers and this one is no different. I literally jumped up and yelled out for a few seconds. Now we have to wait for the last installment to the story.

I know there is more to the story but I wonder if we could have wrapped this up into a pretty trilogy. After two or three books, it is hard to continue reading about the same characters. Of course, once you are three books in, you are invested. So I find myself anxiously waiting for the next addition.

OMG!! Just when the Brandon family seems to be finally coming together and maybe freedom from the cartel is in the their foreseeable future we are left with the mother load off all cliffhangers!! I knew everything was going way too smooth! Lisa doesn't disappoint!! She always has the perfect combination of suspense, secrets, lies, lust and romance that will have you hungrily flipping through the pages to see what happens next! Now this was the story I was waiting for. Filled with intrigue and mystery, Bad Deeds finds us down to the final chess pieces as Shane is set up to become the next possible heir to the Brandon business fortune. With his brother's escapades coming to light Shane must navigate not only his familial landmines but his fresh relationship with Emily.

Now that the two of them have laid out all of their secrets, Jones brings us back to Shane's story line with the theatrical and unpredictable cartel drug lord, Adrian. Shane must carefully tread cartel ground as he tries to save his old family and his new one. We also get the chance to see from his brother, Derek's, point of view and how his stakes have changed from what we were led to believe from book one.

With another cliffhanger sure to leave you screaming for more, Bad Deeds definitely hits the mark on suspenseful and fast-paced romance. Each story better than the last; I can't wait to finally see how all the pieces fall in End Game!

An intense, emotional, riveting installment…

This is the third book in the Dirty Money series that should be read in order.

The intriguing, suspenseful, seductive saga continues and the playing field is fully established. Shane Brandon and Emily Stevens are irrevocably united against the foes that surround them. With her secrets finally shared and their feelings declared they’re fully exposed and vulnerable but only to each other. In the depth of their connection there’s strength and each will desperately seek to protect the other. One will face a crisis of ethics while the other serves as a grounding force with a lifeline forged by the intensity of their love, trust, and understanding.

Shane is faced with the constant machinations of his father and brother while he continues trying to extricate the family business from the tendrils of a drug cartel, one wrong move could cost someone their life. This is a dangerous game he’s playing, each move made requires an appropriate calculated response to keep the playing field even but more than just one opponent watches the movements in this deadly dance. Will he be able to foresee let alone handle the unpredictability of the rogue in the mix? There’s a wild card, a snake ready to strike, and it’s not who Emily expected it would be.

Faced with the destruction of his family, Shane has to decide how far he’ll have to go to save them, the dark side is an alluring temptation that begs him to cross over into its depths, though he’d fall with good intentions it will take a toll on his soul but he is not alone in this endeavor, Emily stands by his side. Can she truly be the light in his conscience and keep him whole if he’s forced to cross that line?

Wow! The deeds in this book were definitely bad and this story had an absolutely awesome ending. The sexy, fast moving plot was riveting with myriad twists and turns including the unexpected redemption of a character and a forced betrayal, the cliff-hanger was shocking, leaving me gasping and wanting more and now, not months from now. We are left with so many immediate questions that beg to be answered but there’s only one that matters, the only one of importance: Who survives that last scene?

An advanced reading copy was obtained from the publisher via NetGalley.

Emily and Shane continue trying to save his company from his family and the Drug Cartel that wants to take it over. Shane struggles with wanting to protect Emily from the dirtier side of his business. I think this book suffers from too many books in a series. It really dragged for me. It was 3/4 into the book before things seem to get interesting and Emily's story dealing with her hacker brother was non existent. I wanted more. And of course you get the hum dinger of a cliffhanger. We will have to wait for book 4 to get more answers.

Fuck fuckity, fuck fuck FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And this is how Lisa Renee Jones destroyed you.

"This is a group of family and acquaintances, but one other thing superseded all. We are enemies."

Bad Deeds is vicious, unforgiving, ruthless and oh so enthralling. The feels people, THE FEELS. Just like in Damage Control, Bad Deeds has a LOT going on. And when I say a lot, I mean a fucking LOT.

"She is the sunshine that was never supposed to exist in this storm I'm living. A calming breeze in the heat of demand, and still she manages to be fire in my blood."

Between being in bed with a drug cartel and trying to survive the chaos in the Brandon clan, it's clear Shane needs Emily more than ever. She's the one that keeps him sane. And he's the one who has managed to heal her. Funny how they were just an ok couple for me in the first book, and now they're everything.

I literally had chills and goose bumps the entire story and for days after. The twists became gut wrenching... and the enemies kinda became friends. My mind is still processing that ending, trying to understand how the author is going to fix this shit. No matter what the result, it's a safe bet that I'm gonna be pissed... or not.

Jone's said it was a rough ending? That wasn't rough. That was fucking brutal. You promised me, Shane. You fucking promised me... but I think some promises are meant to be broken.

Bad Deeds is definitely another engrossing addition to Lisa Renee Jone's addictive series. A concoction of love, intrigues, betrayal, and power. With an ambitious plot, this novel shows us a fascinating, yet dark side of some rich families. The ones that will do everything in their power to be Kings. But nothing can ever justify their bad deeds.

**Books in this series should be read in order.**

P.S. I NEED Adrian, Seth, Cody, Nick and yes Derek's story, PLEASE.

OH MY GAWD!!!! I love Lisa's Dirty Money series. I thought this book was the end .... Oh no! I was so wrong. When I saw that there was End Game coming up next I was confused. I am not anymore. Shane and Emily are stronger than ever. With the last book, Emily's past was upfront. In Bad Deeds, all events turn into something more. Shane and Emily become one and hold power together. I am starting to go soft towards the Brandon family.

Derek also captured me this time. I despised him until now. He shows us he is human. My heart cracked. Derek is nothing what we all thought. But I am afraid it may be too late for a change of heart.

The ending..... OMG! Like WTF...Cliff Hanger.. What finally comforted me was Lisa's note that when she finished this book, she was left with a cliff hanger too and not sure how the next book will turn out. Bad Deeds gives you sexy like no other. It is more intense. You are finally understand a lot. Your questions you had before get answered. The pain and drama get more intense. Bad Deed exceeded my expectations and I am rooting for Shane and Emily to make this out okay. Like I said, the ending killed me. We can not .. No never mind. I will not spoil it for you all. You need this book ASAP. Now I need a hug or two. This is why I love Lisa, she never disappoints!

I seem to be the last one to the Shane and Emily party as I only read the first two book in the series a few days before reading this one. But I am so glad that I read them all back to back because I'm not sure I wouldn't have died from having to wait for each instalment of this awesome series.
