A fun collection of four Scottish historical romance novellas that will encourage readers to find more works by these authors. All the storylines, settings, and characters (the MCs & supporting ones) are enjoyable. My favorite is the first novella, an adaptation of The Princess and the Pea. I look forward to discovering more light-hearted romances like these in the future. For romance fans, and readers who love a Scottish Highlander.

What a fun collection of novellas.
How A Lass Wed A Highlander, by Lecia Cornwall, is a retelling of The Princess & the Pea, where a highland lord has a short time left to fall in love and marry, or he’ll lose his clan’s luck forever. When he ‘captures’ a woman he believes is from a rival clan, he’s determined to ignore his attraction to her. Meanwhile, she’s winning over the castle staff (and him) with her sewing abilities and charm.
A Match Made in Heather, by Anna Harrington, is a second-chance romance, a story about a couple who planned to elope ten years before, but she backed out due to family obligations. They meet up when they jointly inherit an estate and must live there together. He’s still upset she rejected him, and while she’s now engaged to someone else, she’s still attracted to him.
A Midsummer Wedding, by May McGoldrick, is a quirky story about a couple who were betrothed as children and must now decide as adults if they truly wish to wed. Sparks fly when they finally meet up, and while both initially wanted to back out of the arrangement, now, they’re wondering if they’d actually rather wed.
And, The Scot Says I Do, by Sabrina York, is a story about a couple who has always been attracted to each other but never acted on it. After her brother loses everything they possess, she must marry the man she thinks rejected her when they were young.
Each is unique and special. You can’t go wrong with this collection.

I was really looking forward to this anthology and it was worth the wait. I'm always up for reading about Scotland and men in kilts finding their loves and these series of stories added to the appeal.
I loved how the women in each of the stories were smart, determined, generous and loved with all their hearts.
The men were equally interesting, stubborn and fiercely protective of those under their care. It was fascinating to read about different eras and yet love is timeless no matter time differences.
If you enjoy quick reads from multiple authors about hot Scottish men and their loves, you'll enjoy this!

Four authors write tales based on Scottish legends.
The landscape is always beautiful and the warriors highlanders are gorgeous overprotective.

HOW A LASS WED A HIGHLANDER, brings the story of Alexander Munro, of the Munro clan, who is going through needs. According to legend, the lack of luck may end when the laird picks his wife up on Midsummer's Eve with a special ring.
Alex does not believe this legend, but the elders do and pressure him to choose between 4 girls from allied clans.
However, it is Cait MacLeod who appears in the Munro clan, using a tartan of Alex's arch-enemy, the Sutherland.
Being taken prisoner, Cait ends up conquering the inhabitants of the Munro clan, with her sweet way of being.
The war is declared when Baird Sutherland goes after his cousin-bride.

A MATCH MADE IN HEATHER
Arabel Rowland and Garrick McGuiness, the poor boy of blacksmith and former groom in her uncle's stables were going to marry, but in the evening they would run away, she gives up because, once again, her brother gets into gambling problems. Hurt, Garrick walks away alone and never looks back.
The years passed, Arabel was engaged to Ewan Murray when she discovers that with the death of her uncle Malcolm, she had inherited Castle Highburn.
The problem was that the inheritance was divided with the Earl of Towsend. Her surprise was when she discovered that the Earl and Garrick were the same person. He was awarded the title when he saved her uncle's life.
Now they would have to share the castle's address if they wanted to keep it, or the loser would give its share to the other.

A MIDSUMMER WEDDING
A woman, Elizabeth Hay, well raised, arrested for a marriage contract she does not want to keep, with Alexander MacPherson, known as The Black Cat of the Highlands, a wealthy man. However, she could not break or it would dishonor her father. She then has a plan to go find her fiancé disguised as someone else, Clare Seton, and make him change his mind about wedding.

THE SCOT SAYS I DO
Many years ago Catherine Ross had been saved from drowning by a man she could never forget. From there, she compared all the other men to him. But she never saw him again.
With her father's death, Cat was forced by her brother to get married quickly.
One night, after returning from a ball, she meets her brother drunk, with a visit.
This was the new owner of almost everything belonging to them because his brother had lost everything in the game, and this man had bought almost all his debts.
Some debts, however, could still put Peter in Newcastle, the prison.

Duncan MacKay had never forgotten that young girl he had saved years ago. But she was too young.
He waited for years and when the right opportunity came he went after her.
The Ross brothers could leave the property or ... Cat could marry the new owner.

I enjoyed all four stories in this book. They were all kind of quick reads so you could take a break between stories if you needed to. If you like Highland romances, you'll love these stories.

I really enjoyed these four stories that centred around four divine Scotsmen. It takes great skill to write an engaging novella as you have to grab the reader’s attention instantly and this was done so effectively by each author. I also loved the fact that each story was so different, from beginning to end – another great accomplishment.
HOW A LASS WED A HIGHLANDER by Lecia Cornwall
This story retold the “The Princess and the Pea’ fable, with Laird Alex Munro of Culmore needing to find a bride in five weeks or face devastating events. So, several young ladies are invited to his castle to meet Alex but his attention is focussed on Cait MacLeod, who has ended up his prisoner after a raid on clan grounds. Both were such great characters but I also enjoyed Alex’s aunt, who obviously realises that the two, should be together, way before either of them realises!
A MATCH MADE IN HEATHER by Anna Harrington
Garrick and Arabel were poised to run off together but a family tragedy destroys their chance of marriage. Garrick finds himself attacked by men working for Arabel’s father, the laird, and sent away. Their paths do not cross again for ten years, when they find themselves forced to live in the same house, in order to fulfil the requirements of Arabel’s uncle’s will.
A MIDSUMMER WEDDING by May McGoldrick
Elizabeth Hay and Alexander Macpherson have been betrothed since they were children but have never met. Elizabeth has lead the life of a scholar whilst Alex has lived the life of a pirate, amassing his fortunes. Neither of them wish to marry but the machinations of the Queen, put the two together and they soon find themselves overcoming the differences that they perceived would tear apart any relationship.
THE SCOT SAYS I DO by Sabrina York
Duncan Mackay is all that Catherine Ross can think of when she views potential suitors; however, Duncan has been absent from her life for many years. She believes that Duncan saw her only as a young child so when he returns and suggests marriage to save her brother from his debts, Catherine is stunned and confused.
These were such delightful stories and my one disappointment was that they didn’t go for longer. However, I now have four new authors to follow!

I loved these stories filled with women who are independent and strong, but have the desire to marry for love. Each pairing has their own obstacles to overcome and love to discover against all odds.
HOW A LASS WED A HIGHLANDER by Lecia Cornwall
In this retelling of The Princess and The Pea. Laird Alex Munro of Culmore has just five weeks to find a bride and marry her or else his clan will be cursed with ill luck. After a raid Alex finds Cait MacLeod in the woods near the burned out cottage. She finds herself caught in a clan feud when she tries to stop a deadly raid she ends up a prisoner. Will they discover their meant to be before Alex’s time has run out.
A MATCH MADE IN HEATHER by Anna Harrington
Years ago Arabel and Garrick were going to elope, but Arable decided not to go through with the elopement for very good reasons. Garrick is hurt knowing he’s nothing more than a penniless, nameless Scot and she’s the laird's daughter. He returns years later with status, money and a title. Can they let both let go of past and hurts to find the kind of love they both have dreamed of with each other years ago.
A MIDSUMMER WEDDING by May McGoldrick
Even though they have never met Elizabeth Hay and Alexander Macpherson were betrothed as children and raised far apart from each other. They both want out of the engagement; she thinks he’s a barbaric Highlander and Alex feels she’s a pampered spoiled little princess. A great story of how two people change their minds about each other to realize they do belong together and get their HEA.
THE SCOT SAYS I DO by Sabrina York
Catherine Ross's brother gambles away every penny they own to none other than Duncan Mackay, the rugged Scot who Catherine loved for years only he never noticed her. She was the Lairds daughter and he was the stable hand. Her brother’s in danger of going to Newgate unless she meets Duncan’s demand that she marry him to claim the money back and save her brother.
I voluntarily read this ARC from Net Galley and the publisher and this is my honest opinion and review of this book.

"Ye Gods" I "Canna" Say No to Any of These!!!
This lovely magical collection has us as readers hearing a beautiful celtic flute in the background playing a plaintive melody as the words on the page evoke the smell of heather fields, wood smoke and the touch of tartan plaid wool against our cheek. Each story brought something special found in an historical romance set in Scotland. The heroes are brave and true. The lasses are smart, feisty and each beautiful in the eyes of her beloved. The passion is young, innocent, purposeful and steamy hot in the most beautiful and swoon- worthy manner.
Any lover of romance, whatever the shade, will find these satisfying and refreshing as a dip (skinny dip) in a cool clear "loch". The reader will rediscover the joy of the classic hero, his beauty, his animal magnetism cloaked in civility...The delicious build of passion for both hero and heroine.
In Lecia Cornwall's HOW A LASS WED A HIGHLANDER, the reader is delighted and enchanted by the fairy tale elements and the actual influence of the "Fairies" in the love match for the reluctant Laird Alexander and his direction-challenged love, Cait.
In Anna Harrington's A MATCH MADE IN HEATHER, it is a sprig of heather carried by the stable boy, Garrick which reminds him of his lost love, Arabel that inspires him through the most difficult circumstances including war. He returns an English Lord believing he was betrayed by Arabel all those years ago. The sense of betrayal is mutual as is their renewed attraction. It is a story of new beginnings for both Garrick and Arabel surrounded by the fragrance of heather.
In May McGoldrick's A MIDSUMMER WEDDING, we are presented with the hardships and joys of the simple life of yore. It is a delightful tale of attempted subterfuge with identities and miscommunications all told through some harrowing challenges that our lovers face. The Laird, Alexander and Elizabeth betrothed for years seem ill-suited for each other from the start but all misconceptions and apprehensions dissolve in this challenge of nature they faced together to stay alive.
Lastly, but no less a delight, in Sabrina York's THE SCOT SAYS I DO, Duncan, a lowly stable boy and the daughter of the Laird, Catherine both shared a mutual attraction when they were younger. Duncan was most honorable when he refused to touch Catherine because she was too young at the time. Catherine's father, the Laird, had him sent away because how besotted his daughter was over this stable boy. This story involves other suitors vying for the hand of "Cat" and some lovely steamy love scenes between the bankrupt "wee Cat" and the now monied Duncan. One line stuck with me after the read and I will leave it up to the future reader to figure out its meaning in context with the story, “ Always a lovely surprise for a lass.” - Esmerelda
This is a wonderful collection that will make you fall in love with Historical Romances set in Scotland and/ or rediscover the delight of the Scottish brogue whispered in your ear. One click and you "canna" go wrong!

How A Lass Wed A Highlander by Lecia Cornwall.
This was exciting from the beginning. Action and suspense from the start. A tough heroine and a kind hearted hero. The attraction was instant, hot and melted my heart for them both. A cute little twist on a fairy tale. It was one of those that definitely left you happy and satisfied with the read. I love historical romance.
A Match Made InHeather byAnna Harrington.
A love that never dies. What a whirlwind romance that stole my breath! Arabel and Garrick were the perfect couple that went through hell to always try to be together. Facing an even greater obstacle than they could've imagined came a shocking revelation. The characters won me over from the start.
A Midsummer Wedding by May McGoldrick
What a pleasant surprise by a new-to-me author. This book was a charge out of the gate with an intriguing intro. The meat of the story only got better. Elizabeth and the Highlander were a perfect match through peril and romance. I was swept away! Had me laughing and falling in love with them.
The Scot Says I Do by Sabrina York
Duncan and Catherine's story was timeless, showing that true love never dies. Their honesty was refreshing and their passion couldn't be matched because of it. The action that ensued made for fast reading, as I was caught up in their lives. I am always happy with Amy read by this author.

If you love tales of romance with a Scot, this book is for you. It includes four stories that make you fall in love with the rugged, kilt wearing heroes. They have to work hard to capture and wed their true loves and I for one enjoyed their courtship. Leica Cornwall has given a romantic twist to the fairytale of The Princess and the Pea in her story, How A Lass Wed A Highlander. Alexander Munro has his hands full with Cait MacLeod. She's captured him at first sight with her looks and her kindness. Their attraction is special and their dialogue has spice. I enjoyed their interaction as well as that of the secondary characters. The ending made me smile. Anna Harrington's A Match Made In Heather tells of love lost and second chances. Garrick McGuiness worked in the stables while his love was of the Manor born. When fate and the treachery of her family destroyed their plans to elope, they go their own way with a broken heart. The will of Arabel's great uncle brings them back to Castle Highburn where their romance started. Can the magic of love heal their hearts? Garrick is a good man and Arabel still loves him. I was entranced by this love story. I liked the characters especially the meddling Aunt Matilda. Scotland and lovers reunited make a perfect romance. May McGoldrick's A Midsummer Wedding is the story of Elizabeth Hay and The Highlander Alexander Macpherson. A marriage was arranged when they were children. Now after many years he's here to claim his bride, but she doesn't want to wed this pirate. Plans go awry when she tries to trick him. Suddenly they are stranded by floods and the Queen's meddling. I loved seeing them battle the elements and each other. What a wild romp. It's filled with witty dialogue and unexpected situations. Their romance made me laugh. Sabrina York finished this book with The Scot Says I Do. Catherine loved her time in Scotland as a young girl. She loved the beauty, the peace and the people, but all good things must come to an end. She's now looking for a husband. Her brother wants her married. When her old Highland crush comes to town, she is reminded of how much she still cares for him. Can she finally convince him that they're meant for each other? Duncan is honorable. He knew that she was too young for him so he rejected her. When he sees her again, he realizes that he still cares. Can they get it right this time? This is an enjoyable tale of a feisty lady and a Highlander who wants her as his own. I loved it from start to finish. Catherine and Duncan are perfect for each other. This is such a great boxed set. I love a wedding especially the Highland kind.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.

HOW A LASS WEDS A HIGHLANDER by Lecia Cornwall
4.5
Legend has it that if Laird Alex Munro fails to wed by Midsummer's Eve, which is only five weeks away, he will die shortly thereafter, and bad luck will befall his clan. Nothing but bad luck has been happening due to his late father's negligence and incompetence. Also, the Sutherlands have been raiding them, stealing their crops, and destroying property. With the few men Alex has, he can't protect his clan the way he wants to. Though he doesn't believe in the legend, an alliance by marriage could benefit his clan, so four potential candidates arrive, intent on charming him and becoming his wife.
Cait MacLeod received a marriage proposal from her cousin, the laird of the Sutherland clan, and she fully intended to accept him. However, when she travels to his keep, she finds him a bully, and a cruel man who enjoys the destruction he causes. Cait ventures out and is captured by Alex, who believes her a Sutherland, despite her protestations that she is the powerful MacLeod's daughter. Alex sends a message to MacLeod, but in the meantime, he's keeping Cait as his guest.
Cait's sweet personality soon charms everyone, and even Alex is captivated by her. Though there are four potential brides clamoring for his attention, he only sees Cait. Alex is a decent, hard working man, but he never wanted love. Yet it seems to have found him. HOW A LASS WEDS A HIGHLANDER is a warm and romantic novella that has wonderful characters, a touch of magic, and a very satisfactory resolution that gives everyone their just deserts.

A MATCH MADE IN HEATHER by Anna Harrington
3.5,
When Arabel Rowland was just eighteen, she fell in love with Garrick McGuiness, the son of a blacksmith. Because her wealthy, highborn family will never approve a match between the two, they plan to elope. Garrick has just been hired as a head groom, and they need to leave today in order for him to arrive at his new position, and allow time for them to marry. Yet, on this very day, Arabel receives some tragic family news, and she chooses to remain. Garrick not only has to endure having his heart broken, but his body as well, since the estate agent was instructed to have him badly beaten before he leaves. It seems their secret romance was not to secret after all.
In the following ten years, there has been a reversal of fortune for both Arabel and Garrick. He became a soldier and a hero, and was awarded an earldom. He has also lived a rakish life, intent on forgetting how his fist love rejected him. Arabel's family, on the other hand, have lost their fortune, and have suffered scandal. Arabel never married, though she is now engaged to a banker she doesn't love. A surprising bequest from her deceased uncle brings her face to face with Garrick. It seems that in an attempt to make amends for meddling in their love affair years ago, and for having Garrick beaten, Arabel's uncle has left Highburn Castle equally to both of them, stipulating that they both must live there for thirty days before any action can be taken. If either fails, the whole castle reverts to the other party.
Garrick is only too eager to take up the challenge, as he's never forgiven Arabel for putting her family ahead of him. Arabel is eager to claim some property and try to restore her family to prosperity and respectability. As old hurts come to the surface, along with anger and bitterness, two very stubborn people find that they are again falling in love. I began to despair of this couple ever forgiving each other or having a future together, but love does conquer all in A MATCH MADE IN HEATHER.

A MIDSUMMER WEDDING DAY by May McGoldrick
4.0
Elizabeth Hay and Alexander MacPherson have never met, though they've been betrothed since they were children. Initially, Elizabeth harbored romantic longings, and eagerly looked forward to Alex claiming her when she reached the typical marriage age of eighteen. But he didn't show, and as time passed, Elizabeth's dreams turned to dust. She became well educated, traveled with her father, and became a member of the queen's court. She hears stories of Alex's prowess as a ship commander and pirate. If he ever does show up, she has no intention of marrying him, being shipped off to his castle, and languishing with people she doesn't know, while he sails off to sea. Now, at age twenty-three, Elizabeth is looking forward to an exciting trip with her father, when her long lost fiancé arrives in town, and the wedding date is set.
Alex has no intention of upholding a betrothal agreement made without his consent when he was just a child, especially to some flighty member of the royal court. He needs someone from his own clan in the highlands. But he feels honor bound to discuss ending the arrangement with Elizabeth face to face.
Through a series of amusing, then terrifying events, Alex and Elizabeth are forced to spend time alone together as they struggle to stay alive. Their prejudices soon turn to admiration for each other, and attraction turns to passion. I love both these characters, and there are several light moments that had me smiling. My first read by May McGoldrick was very enjoyable, warm, and sexy. A surprise twist had me wondering if there was going to be A MIDSUMMER WEDDING DAY.

THE SCOT SAYS I DO by Sabrina York
4.5
Catherine Ross, the daughter of a baron, spent the years before her debut living in Scotland, where she experienced her first love, Duncan Mackay, the family's groom. Duncan fell in love with her, as well, but knowing any relationship was impossible, he kept her at bay with biting remarks, cruel teasing, and treating her like a child. Catherine's father was far from blind, so he sacked Duncan before either of them decided to act on their attraction. Catherine was never told what happened, she assumed that Duncan just left without saying goodbye.
Now back in London, Catherine's brother has inherited the title due to her father's death. He's very anxious for Catherine to marry and be gone from his household. Unfortunately, Catherine's suitors have a variety of failings, all hilariously described by Sabrina York. One day Catherine is summoned to meet with her brother, only to find Duncan there, as well. It seems that her wastrel brother has gambled away their home, and Duncan has purchased the notes, which were held by one of her suitors. Catherine is shocked to hear Duncan suggest that they marry.
What follows is a very brief and steamy engagement. Duncan was determined to make a success of himself and come back for Catherine someday. They are both wonderful characters and I loved watching their rekindled young love flare into passion. Catherine and Duncan are perfect for each other, and reading THE SCOT SAYS I DO is pure delight.

How a Lass Wed a Highlander by Lecia Cornwall

Another MacLeod, has found her HEA in the arms of Laird Alex Munro of Culmore. Their story was a bit too close to death. Since there is a stipulation that should be met in their story.
"When a man becomes Laird of the Munros of Culmore, he has until midsummer to find a bride, place that ring upon her finger and plight his troth."
or so the curse say. Suffice to say, some of the people in the clan believed it. Hence they did something to avoid it.

However, Fate had other plans. Cait MacLeod finds herself caught in a clan feud, where in she just wanted to help. She was suppose to be a prisoner, and yet she captivated half of the clan's people.

I enjoyed reading this book. It was sweet and simple. I like how hard Alex tired to ignore his feeling for Cait, but the way she showed her character made him really love her.

The ending was fitting. And everyone got their HEA.

A Match Made in Heather by Anna Harrington

This is the first time that I will read a book from this author. This was a good story. Revenge was the main feeling of main hero. During the time period of this story, social standings was more important than love, and at the same time, family loyalty.

As I was reading this story there are some parts that made me cry. They love each other so much that it hurts to read some of the lines in the book. However, the most captivating words that I have read was this:

“The most important families aren’t the ones we’re born into, but the ones we choose”.

Somehow, no matter how much you love the family you are born into, there are times you have to let go especially if they are the ones that causes you pain, and you can never find happiness no matter what you do. Love is a two way street. If you are willing to give it, but love is not returned, it is not called Love anymore.

The past may have hurt them, but the her relatives that saw how much pain they caused, made the effort to bring them together.

Love is sweeter the second time around, and it is certainly true on this story.

A Midsummer Wedding by May McGoldrick

Well, now, I thought that is was another typical arranged marriage thing but it wasn't!

I like this story. And most especially I love how The Queen concocted how to bring Elizabeth Hay and Alexander Macpherson together. It was such a lovely plan.

The way the story was written was actually pretty good too. It was very interesting way to back read up to the present. The way they fell in love with each other was the best things about this book.

The Scot Says I Do by Sabrina York

The last story of the book, focus on how a love powerful love can be. Duncan Mackay, is a Highlander and he has love Catherine Ross, from afar for such a long time. Due to social standing, he had to do his best to be the man he was at the present. A respected and well known man. Catherine, however had love Duncan since she was just a little girl.

I love this story. Catherine showed how much the highlands has affected her when she is mad. I absolutely loved it! Duncan? Oh! he is such a honest man, that it is impossible not to fall in love with him. From the arrogant way he handled the people he do not like, to the shy way he tried to show he love Catherine, but she is unable to see it at first. As the story continues you can see how much Duncan is in love with Catherine. It is truly a sight.

All in all, the book itself is truly nice. Each story introduces us on how love is still alive after all of the difficulties one couple has. All they need to do is trust each other.

Look out Jamie Fraser – in Say Yes to The Scot, authors Lecia Cornwall, Anna Harrington, May McGoldrick and Sabrina York have created four sexy, charismatic and gorgeous heroes guaranteed to take your breath away!

In How a Lass Wed a Highlander, author Lecia Cornwall has penned an enchanting, funny and poignant retelling of The Princess and the Pea that will make you laugh out loud as well as shed a tear or two.

Laird Alex Munro of Culmore cannot afford any more bad luck – which is why, despite the fact that every instinct is telling him that the legends and lore which his Aunt Flora is so keen on spouting are all superstitious nonsense, he agrees to marry before Midsummer’s Eve. With just five weeks to go, the clock is ticking, but despite a whole slew of eligible misses determined to become the laird’s wife, the only woman Alex has got his eye on is a woman he believes to be betrothed to his sworn enemy, Cait Macleod.

Cait’s penchant for getting lost is legendary, so when she had realised that her betrothed was not the man for her, she had run away – and ended up wandering blindly in a wood, mistaken for a traitor and kidnapped! However, when your captor is as seductive as Alexander Munro, Cait quickly realises that getting lost might have been the best thing that’s ever happened to her!

As desire quickly escalates to something deeper, has Alexander found his perfect bride? Or is their love simply not meant to be?

I adored this fun, quirky and irresistible novella! Lecia Cornwall is a wonderful writer who draws you in from the very beginning and keeps you entertained and engrossed until the very end! With a gorgeous hero, a wonderfully smart and clever heroine and plenty of humour, passion and twists and turns, How a Lass Wed a Highlander is an enchanting tale you will simply adore!

Anna Harrington’s A Match Made in Heaven is an intensely passionate and emotional tale that will tug at your heartstrings.

Despite the vast social chasm that divided them, penniless Garrick and laird’s daughter Arabel were madly in love, but theirs was a love that simply could not be. When fate had transpired to tear them apart, Garrick had thought that he would never see Arabel again – until he received news of an inheritance that sees him come face to face with his first love.

The passing of years have not been kind to Arabel. Scandal, shame and dishonour have tarnished the family name and her only hope of respectability is by marrying a stuffy Edinburgh banker. Having Garrick back in her life is the last thing she needs – especially as all those old feelings come flooding back.

But will it be second time luck for Garrick and Arabel? Or has too much water gone under the bridge for the two of them to be happy together ever again?

Make sure you have a box of tissues handy because this is a searingly emotional tale that aims for the heart and does not miss. Gripping, compelling and dramatic, A Match Made in Heaven is a splendid historical novella from a writer you’d want to add to your auto-buy list: Anna Harrington.

May McGoldrick’s A Midsummer Wedding is a witty and engrossing romp that I found hard to put down!

Elizabeth Hay and Alexander Macpherson have been betrothed since birth – it’s just a shame that despite their engagement having been two decades in the making, they have never managed to clap eyes on one another! Elizabeth is convinced that her intended is an uncouth and brash Highland pirate who is as far removed from her idea of the perfect man as it is possible to get, so she comes up with a wicked plan whereby she will impersonate another noblewoman and meet Alexander and convince him to break off the engagement. But little did Elizabeth imagine that when she did finally clap eyes on Alexander she would fall helplessly in love with him!

Pretty soon, breaking off her engagement to Alexander is the last thing on her mind, but has too much damage been done for the two of them to ever walk down the aisle? Or will there be further surprises in store?

I had never read any books by May McGoldrick, but after devouring A Midsummer Wedding, I am determined to remedy that situation as soon as possible! Wonderful written, beautifully atmospheric and sparkling with humour, charm and heart, A Midsummer Wedding is a gloriously romantic read from a phenomenal talent: May McGoldrick!

Sabrina York rounds up this enchanting collection with The Scot Says I Do, an entertaining, engrossing and enjoyable romantic tale!

Catherine Ross has been in love with Duncan MacKay for years, but while she has spent most of her life mooning after him, Duncan has never given her the slightest bit of notice. Having put him out of her mind, Catherine is now trying her best to forget the past and move on with her life – but she hadn’t counted on her brother’s penchant for gambling forcing her to come face to face with the one man she loathes most in the world: Duncan MacKay!

With her brother having gambled his wealth to Duncan, Catherine finds herself in close proximity with Duncan. But her attraction to him is the last thing she needs – especially as she must save her brother from going to Newgate. However, Duncan has a plan: he’ll forgive her brother’s debts, if she agrees to marry him!

A charming tale that will make you giggle and sigh with perfect happiness, The Scot Says I Do is a sparkling romance that will hold you in thrall from start to finish. With a sexy hero, a fantastic heroine, nail-biting drama, emotional intensity and poignant romance, The Scot Says I Do is a first-class romance from a fast-rising star in the genre!

Curl up with this enchanting collection of spellbinding Highland novellas this summer – you will certainly not regret it!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I loved this collection of Highland romances! I am only familiar with one of the authors so it was great to read an author I love, and then have three additional authors to read. Each story was a different kind of story so you have four very different stories:

Lecia Cornwall's "How a Lass Weds a Highlander" Cait MacLeod regrets that she thought her Sutherland cousin might be a good match for her and runs away, but she gets lost in the woods, but found by the Munro who thinks she is an enemy Sutherland.

Anna Harrington's "A Match Made in Heaven" Arabel and Garrick are reunited after ten years later they find they have each inherited half of her Great Uncle's estate. They must share the estate for 6 months before either can sell their share.

May McGoldrick's "A Midsummer Wedding" Elizabeth Hay is facing a marriage arranged when she was a child to Alexander Macpherson. It is funny that they both want out of the arranged marriage until they meet and are attracted to each other!

Sabrina York's "The Scot Says I Do" Catherine and Peter meet again after Catherine’s brother has gambled away his estate. Lots of action and humor in this novella!
