I enjoyed this book. Max is a guy you instantly like and then love his reaction to the decidedly different yet sexy Tess. Their chemistry is great- loved them together. When things get real I loved Max is protective, let's take this serious mode.

This was a quick read. It is of a very independent, quick witted political blogger, Tess and he cop/bodyguard, Max.

When he meets up with her at the airport to provide security for her she has no idea what he's talking about. She is so stricklingly beautiful that he can't get a coherent thought through to explain it to her.

When the threats prove to be real he takes matters into his own hands to keep her safe.

If you need a book to read over a weekend, this book is for you. It's a nice romance that will keep you interested to find the end.

While Max is brothers with Gabe from Protecting His Interest, book one in the series, there is no other connection so this can be read as a stand alone.
Max is a good guy, but has some holdups when it comes to relationships. Women can only lead to distractions from his job. So when he gets to know Tess he tries to keep her at arm's length. She on the other hand can see through his tough guy attitude and pours as much seduction on him as she knows.
Tess has always been looked at as a freak of nature. She's an albino, and isn't afraid to stand up and fight for the rights of people like her. This time it's going to take all that Max has to keep her alive long enough to find out who wants to silence her.

What an exciting story. I enjoyed the romantic suspense of the story. Great job with the plot and characters.
