Part 1 of a 3 part set of short novels about cop brothers in New Orleans.
As such, it is very spare in description, and action.
For me, I would have preferred more depth and length. As the storyline is incomplete, and clearly continues in the next parts.
Book 1 of cop brothers set in New Orleans. Jordan, Liam and Zachary. The three books are linked together, and are also written by 3 different authors. They click well together and enjoyed the series. Easy to read, and all three meet or reconnect with their future romances. I read them out of order, but wasn't lost. Would recommend.
A murder, voodoo and New Orleans..a combination to start this series. Jordan must protect and help solve the murder all while finding a path to a future with Camille. Good first book . Looking forward to the next one.
Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
I enjoyed this book very much cant wait to share with my customers.
I picked this book up from NetGalley, as the cover drew my eye, and the above synopsis piqued my interest...I'm glad that I did get it, as I wasn't disappointed.
With a heady mix of voodoo, murder and a rekindling passion, this story is fast paced and will keep you on the edge. With a great set of characters and storyline.
Can not wait to start the second book in the trilogy - Liam!
I like the concept of this story however the characters didn’t resonate with me which made it hard to stay connected with the story. I will read the next two to see if once I have read them all I feel different
Jordan: New Orleans Magic is the first part of a three-part series penned by Rebecca York. It's a paranormal romantic suspense.
Somebody is slaughtering supporters of Camille DuPree. Camille's restaurant. Presently to protect her benefactors she employed a security organization. In any case, unbeknownst to Camille her past and present intersect when her old flame comes entering back into her life.
This book I couldn't get into. I liked the puzzle, the character's not really. Indeed, even the purpose for their separation had a Romeo and Juliet plot just with a more joyful closure. The plot was well developed. However, again the characters required somewhat more work.
