Love the standalone books by Sawyer Bennett!! I found Jilted to be a book I was able to read in one sitting. I found Eden to be an awesome character. She wasn't the snuty Hollywood diva type I was expecting. Eden is a really sweet woman tired of being lonely and by herself.

Eden Goodnight is a hot Hollywood actress. Her fiancé is also one of Hollywoods elite. Then it all comes crashing down. Eden finds out her fiancé has been cheating on her with a colleague. And Eden ends up running back to her hometown that she hasn't really been back to since she left.
Coop was Edens high school boyfriend. They both thought they would end up being together forever. The relationship was off the charts hot. Then life happens and Coop and Eden call it quits. And Coop hasn't really committed to a woman since he had Eden. None have had staying power. That is until Eden shows back up in their hometown and in the same house.

Coop and Eden must find a way to live together while she's back licking her wounds. But while they live togeher will they be able to keep their attractions buried?

This book is a really great story. Not a shock as I have enjoyed alot of Sawyer Bennett books but this one was a little different than her usual stories. For one it is very Hollywood. The story starts in Hollywood at an movie premier for the heroines fiancee, Brad where we find out like Eden does that he had an affair with his married co-star. Dumping him and wanting to get away Eden drives to her East Coast town of Newberry where she thinks she owns a house her grandmother left her.

That is when she meets up with Cooper, her high school boyfriend who now owns the house too with her and they fight over who gets which room. Which while juvenile was kinda fun. She also discovers the town HATES her with a passion. The only one willing to talk to her is the former fat girl Missy. And to make matters worse Cooper is having a fling with mean girl Ashley.

The author tortures poor Eden and she hits rock bottom. And that is when the story gets great. This story has LOTS and LOTS of hot sex. LOTS. If you don't like pages of sex well then this is not the book for you. But we also get to see Eden and Cooper fall for the other. But the issues that split them up after high school still exist. Can the more mature adults make it work? And that really is the question in this book. Can we go home again?

For me I did not like the first 30% of the book. We see Cooper and Ashley together and we see Brad and Eden together and I did not like that. I did love Cooper and Eden's antics as they battle it out for the master bedroom in their house. And I loved how hot the story was. I loved Missy and how she helps Eden out and they become good friends. And Cooper and Eden really were great together. I was 100% rooting for them to be a couple throughout the end of the story.

4.5 🌟 stars.
Was invited by the publisher to review this book and I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I don't need to be asked twice to read a Sawyer Bennett novel as I am always so impressed by this author's writing style and I am really loving this Love Hurts series. This is book no.2 and they are both standalones and unrelated stories.
I am very much a sucker for second chance romances so needless to say I really loved this book. It contained all of the elements I enjoy with this type of story-lovable characters, dual POV, entertaining and funny LOL situations with sexy wicked banter.
Coop and Eden also had off the charts chemistry that translated into a very sexy and fairly lighthearted read. I also liked the very sweet epilogue included and I highly recommend this book.

I REALLY REALLY loved this book! I always love a second chance romance but add to that the extra drama of Hollywood vs small town and that makes it even better! Of course im not really that shocked that its an amazing book, i mean come on, Sawyer Bennett wrote it so i knew without even reading the blurb or opening the book that it was going to be good. So there i sat...tea close by and cuddled up under a blanket (im in Canada so of course its still blanket weather lol) thinking that i was prepared to start this book...fast forward a few hours and im in deep! Its after 4 am and im just finally putting the finished book down lol. Tea has long since gone cold and i've not slept a wink and its almost time to get up and start my day lol. So i did what any normal person would do...i went back and reread my favorite parts until it was time to get up and get dressed. Ok so now on to the book...

Eden and Coop might be my favorite couple yet (yes i realize i say that about most of Sawyer's book couples lol)! Eden has the world at her finger tips...well thats what anyone looking at her would think. She's gorgeous and famous and rich. To most people that seems like more then anyone could ask for. To Eden that's nothing, she's lonely and scared, and shes tired of the fake smiles and fake life shes been living for the last 14 years. So when the spotlight starts to shine on just how fake her life has turned she runs...she runs back to the one place that was real to her. Goodnight house and the town it sits in was the last place that the real Eden felt at home so that's where she goes.

Cooper hasn't laid eyes on Eden in a long time. Of course he's heard the gossip about her and her famous life in Hollywood and all the movies shes done. He hasn't bothered to see any of them but he did indulge and pick up a copy of her Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition just like every other male in town did. Imagine his surprise when he looks over his shoulder and there she is! Standing on the steps of Goodnight house looking just as beautiful as she did 14 years ago.

I do like Sawyer Bennett, and even though I go against most of the reviews, because I did not love it, it was not horrible. This book about Eden and Coop who were once young and in love, they were separated for 14 years. When Eden is humiliated by her fiance on a red carpet, she runs home, and is surprised by how the town is treating her. Both Coop and Eden have to deal with immature exes, and try to move on. I hated Ashley she needed to grow up. After misunderstanding, and after a much needed talk, they were able to work things out.

Eden and Coop were high school sweethearts in a small town, Georgia USA. They had planned to stay together in college, but when Eden becomes first an fashion model then movie star they broke up. Fourteen years later Eden comes back home after a tabloid worthy break up with her lying, cheating movie star boyfriend while on the red carpet. She and Coop rekindle there relationship with the agreement that is just a short term fling, but deep down they both know that neither has ever loved anyone else the way they loved each other. If you are a fan of second chance romances, that what this book is all about.

I enjoyed the characters well enough and there is plenty of steam; however, Coop's character seems more feminine than masculine in his thinking. It's sometimes hard to tell whose head I am in, but that is not unusual in this genre. Authors seem write men the way we women want them to be which is understandable. Jilted is a pleasant light read for fans of Sawyer Bennett.

it was amazing

Yet another lovely tale from this author, who creates some of the best characters I've met in books. The story of a protagonist who becomes famous and returns to his or her small town has been told often, but in my opinion never this well. Eden has none of the affectations of a superstar, which given her background one would certainly expect. Coop is the love left behind, small town good-guy. But mercifully the author does not stereotype him. Both characters have enough complexity to keep the story interesting. I was especially intrigued with the empathy Coop displayed on several occasions - not a quality often seen in guys with his other commanding characteristics. And I was also taken with the way the author portrayed their college breakup. It would seem to have more dramatic for there to have been some sort of blow up, but here, more realistically, they hung on until they couldn't anymore.

Unless I'm reading non-fiction, I just like someone to tell me a good story that keeps my attention, has some authentically interesting characters, a little humor or drama, and leaves me with a little smile at the conclusion. This book delivers. It was one of those I read slowly because I didn't want it to end.

I used to wonder every time I picked up a new title by this author if this would be the time when she produced a dud, a book that was not filled with interesting and authentic characters telling an intriguing, humorous, lusty and usually heart wrenching/heart warming story. Nope. I am beginning to think it is impossible for her to write a book that does not suck you in quickly and hold you there until she's finished with you and allows the characters the resolution they deserve. When evaluating a book I place the highest premium on whether it tells a good story. All the beautiful prose in the world doesn't make up for a boring narrative. I would love a visit inside this author's head, because it would have to be a seriously interesting place!

What do you do when the piranhas of the press are looking for blood? You go to the last place where to look for you. A small town in the middle of Georgia. Except they are just as hostile there. But none so colder to Eden then the man that she left behind, Cooper, so that she could follow her dreams in being an actress. He holds anger for her not only about what happened when they broke up but what happened when she was gone. He thinks that he’s over her, that is until she comes up with a proposal that has him rethinking things.
Here I thought that the book couldn’t get any hotter than the last book, but I was sadly mistaken. Eden and Cooper are into some kinky and crazy things that once they finally get together it’s dynamite. It sizzles and burns from page to page that I was blushing at times with the things that Cooper did to Eden. Sawyer Bennett’s words are so descriptive and intense that you forget about the world around you and get enraptured but what is unfolding in the story.

There are some plot ‘twists’ in the story, if you want to call it that, but it’s nothing that you couldn’t probably see coming. The biggest one comes towards the front of the book and you know that it’s only going to explain how and why Cooper and Eden get back together. The only issue (if you want to call it that) is how quickly the book goes over the plot points of the story. How they each just accept the other person’s mistakes of the pasts without any real talking about it and figuring out how it makes them feel. Of course, with it being a romance novel, that is to be expected.

Sawyer Bennett’s love stories are some of my favorite to read. I love that they are quick reads and I am blown away with how creative her stories can be because they are not all that similar. I have read other romance authors and there are times when the author uses the same story lines over different books, but I have yet to see that in her books (and I have read a good 80% of her books). I can’t wait to see what she writes next.
While the book is the second book of the Love Hurts series, it’s actually not connected to the first book in any real way. There are no characters that are similar so it’s nice to know that it can be read as a stand-alone. It does end with a HEA so you can breathe easy.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It begins with the heroine, Eden, finding out that her fiancé has had an affair. She's been living in Hollywood as an actress, but when she's publicly humiliated she heads back to her small hometown. She runs in to her high school sweetheart, Coop, pretty quickly. They had ended things on friendly terms, but he seems to be angry with her. The whole town seems to be angry with her and she has no clue as to why.
It was fun to watch these two rekindle their relationship. Rediscovering who each other was and how they could build on it. This story had its drama, but for the most part it was a fun and funny read. I highly recommend everyone who enjoys a good ol love story to read this wonderful book.

FIVE! FIVE! FIVE! Five stars for Jilted!

Finally I'm getting out of my mediocre reading slump! I loved this book! I've only read one other Sawyer Bennett novel, and while I liked it well enough, it didn't blow me away. Jilted, on the other hand, was perfect.

I loved the storyline of Jilted, which introduces us to Eden Goodnight, a very famous actress who is jilted within the first scene of the book. She heads home to a small town in Georgia to lick her wounds in private, but isn't welcomed back with open arms by anyone in her hometown. She also finds that her ex-boyfriend, Coop, is now living in her home (long story but actually makes sense when you read it.)

Coop is the perfect hero as far as I'm concerned... a little bit dirty but protective and honest. I loved the story between him and Eden. It was hot but still had moments so tender that you couldn't help but swoon.

Definitely check this book out. It broke my streak of 3 star run of the mill reads. Finally!

Did not finish. Stopped at 61%.

With all the books out there, I just didn't want to waste anymore time reading Jilted. The story is too similar to many others. There isn't much to the story and it is jam packed with sex. Lose some of the sex and add some drama or humor!!!

I wish it had taken longer for them to get together. I was really enjoying the War of the Roses but it lasted for all of two seconds! If it had continued longer, it would have been really entertaining.

I have received an advance copy of this book from the publisher however; the opinions provided are that of my own.

Another great read from the author that kept your attention from start to finish for a quick read; not wanting to put the book down and keep reading. The structure of the book that allows for perspective from both main characters throughout keeps the plot developing nicely and allows for deeper understanding of how events are affecting both characters. There are some graphic sexual encounters and language that may turn off some readers of this genre of book however; it definitely adds to the plot making it a great read for those that are not offended by such.

Definitely would recommend this book and the author to any reader that enjoys a quick read, a great plot and a little excitement between the pages.

Sawyer Bennett takes sexy and sweet to a new level in jilted!

Small town girl, Eden, has reached a level of stardom that is crazy! Model, turned famous actress. She has everything going for her including a gorgeous A-list fiancé.

But it all comes crashing down when she finds out he has been cheating with his co-star

She flees to her hometown to lick her wounds, but everyone there seems to be angry at her and her ex is living in her house and seems to be the only one talking to her.

Sparks fly between Eden and Cooper as they re learn each other. Coop still sees the sweet open hearted girl he used to love and Eden was never really over him.

The chemistry is off the charts and the way Coop treats her is so sweet. This is an adorable and sexy 5 star second chance romance!

Jilted is just another fool proof example of why Sawyer Bennett is an instant buy/read for me. Her books will drag you into the lives and hearts of her characters in minutes and suddenly you are so entrenched in their story that the outside world ceases to exist. I really loved Eden (great name) and Cooper's story. Their history and chemistry was done so well that I could feel it seeping off the pages. Eden's cold welcome back to her hometown was so well executed I found myself tearing up at her feeling of disconnect and rejection when she really had nothing else emotionally going for her. The relationship between Eden and Coop was brought back up to a boil in such a nice and easy pace that it felt so natural and kept you waiting on the edge of your seat for them to fall back in love with one another. I loved the interactions with Ashley and loved seeing her get what was coming to her. The only thing that made me hold back one star on this one was that the end was a bit rushed. I never like it when the main characters ultimately have something come between them and just as quickly it is resolved. I like to see the characters go through the pain of not having one another or fighting to get each other back a bit longer. Overall, another enjoyable and passionate story by Ms. Bennett!

I absolutely loved this book! Jilted is one of those books that sucked me in from the very first word and I did not want to put it down. This is book two in Sawyer Bennett's Love Hurts series, however it is a standalone and does not have any ties to the first book in the series.

Eden Goodnight and Coop Mayfield were high school sweethearts who were as in love as two teenagers could be. Eden's parents had died several years before and when it was time to make a decision about where to go to college, Eden followed Coop to school much to the dismay of her guardian, her grandmother. When Eden was presented with the opportunity of a lifetime - a modeling job that would pay her enough to cover at least a year of school expenses - she knew she couldn't turn it down. While Eden and Coop made every attempt to make their relationship work, the distance was just too much.

As Eden's star rose and she became an actress as well, her relationship with her grandmother continued to deteriorate and she never went home to Newberry, Georgia. For 14 years she lived and worked in her own world in Los Angeles. When a very public incident happens, Eden wants nothing more than to flee the bright lights of LA and knowing that the paparazzi will look in certain locations for her, she knows that her hometown isn't one of them.

What ensues when Eden arrives back at the home she inherited when her grandmother died is nothing short of what makes a great film. There are many misunderstandings, a jealous woman who can't stand the sight of Eden, and the man that she has always loved even though they couldn't be together.

As Coop and Eden begin to get to know one another again, the chemistry is palpable and while they both want to believe they have moved on from what they had years ago, the question quickly arises as to whether that is really true. Will these two people that have matured and grown apart be able to make things work when they aren't all that different than they were when they ended it before?

There was so much that I loved about this book. The characters, the story, the pace and the dual point of view are just a few things. For anyone that likes Sawyer Bennett, second chance love stories and chemistry that just leaps off the page, this is a book for you! I highly recommend it!!

If you like second chance romance storylines, Jilted is the book for you. Eden Goodnight and Cooper Mayfield were young and happily in love but life had a different plan for them. Separated by distance, both chasing their dreams they split up and move on with their lives. Fast forward 14 years and Eden goes back to Georgia, to lick her wounds after a humiliating breakup. Cooper and Eden cross paths again and their initial antagonism towards each other soon evaporates as they heat up the sheets with their mutual attraction and sexual chemistry. Cooper is my new book boyfriend, he is a sexy, dirty boy with a filthy mouth (got to love him) and Eden is down to earth and sweet despite her years in Hollywood. Sawyer knocks it out of the park again; this book is a fun, sexy read, I couldn’t put it down.

Jilted is the second book in the Love Hurts series, but can be read as a stand-alone.

We meet Eden and Coop who haven’t seen each other in 14 years when they were sweethearts. Eden is a famous actress who has been spurned and cheated on by her fiancée. In order to escape the scandal she decides to retreat to her hometown of Georgia.

Coop doesn’t do relationships anymore and the anger between the two is palpable, especially when Eden learns that the home left to her by her grandmother was also left to Coop.

Eden and Coop rekindle their relationship, but they know there is an expiration date.

I loved the characters and this second chance story. I’m a big fan of Sawyer Bennett’s books and this one did not disappoint.

I received an advanced copy from Net Galley for an honest review.

I really enjoy reading Sawyer Bennett's books. They are easy to read, romantic and very steamy.
I absolutely loved the story in this book and the main characters are both great. Cooper is the perfect romantic hero - gorgeous and fun. Whilst the ending is predictable, the plot has lots of storylines to it.
A perfect quick read.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. Looking forward to her next book already.
