What a sweet second chance love story!

Eden and Coop were in love and dated years ago before Eden made it big in modeling and Hollywood. Their breakup was hard on both of them, but they knew it wouldn't work with them on different life paths. Can they make it work this time?

Oh my! Coop and Eden steam up the pages in here! And to see their love rekindle was so sweet. This was a great way to spend my reading time :)

I totally liked Jilted. We have Eden Goodnight who finds out her fiancee has been cheating on her wife his co-star. How cliche. Anyway, she decides to head back to her hometown to recuperate. Yet, she doesn't receive the welcome she was expecting. Everyone is looking at her like she's pond scum. I felt bad for her. Even though she lives a glamorous life, she's all alone. Nothing is going to plan.

Coop is upset with Eden, because she's back in town. He truly believes she's a cold-hearted bitch. There's a few things he doesn't know, so he assumes the worst of her. However, everything gets reveal, and he feels pretty bad for his part. At the same time they are starting to rekindle an old relationship, but more like a rebound for both of them.

I did enjoyed this story from start to finish. Yes, there are some steamy parts, but you see these two reconnecting. Eden and Coop use to be a hot little item, but their lives were going in two different directions at the time. When they do reconnect it's like they never were apart. Basically, Jilted is a beach kind of read. It's nothing too stressful and there are some fun moments. So, if you are in a mood for something light, and could be read in a day or two, you might consider Jilted.

I normally like Sawyer Bennett’s books and I liked the previous one in this series okay, but this was just really meh for me. I didn’t feel like we got to know any of the characters well at all, and the little we did get to know, I wasn’t a fan of. They just weren’t characters I found myself wanting to root for. Both Eden and Coop were a little annoying, in my opinion, so I was never able to form a real connection with them. The romance was nothing more than sex. It really had no substance to it. Part of it is because this is a second chance romance, but we don’t really see them re-building their relationship as much as I would have liked. I also disliked how most of the sexy times here started in the middle of the act. If I want smut, I need it foreplay and all! There was also the stereotypical mean girl in this book and I was not having it. Some of the other secondary characters who befriend Eden were okay. So yeah, I don’t particularly have more to say about Jilted, just that I didn’t like it.

Wow!! Second chance, fame, and lots of sex, Jilted by Sawyer Bennett just blew me away. I totally struggled with having to put down this book. While walking the red carpet at a Hollywood event beautiful Eden Goodnight discovers her fiancé cheated on her. Needing to get away, she her hometown but unknowingly, Cooper Mayfield, the boy she left behind, is living in her home.

In this story we are exposed to the worse and best of small town living. Some things might never change in her small town, but Eden is at a loss to understand why the locals are so rude to her. Eden and Coop need to figure out how to share the home they both now own and how to move on from what they had to what they now want. Ms. Bennett did a nice job balancing the sexy with the feelings Eden and Coop were rediscovering.

I totally enjoyed reading this wonderful book and highly recommend this book to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Second chance romances are one of my favorite books to read. Coop and Eden breakup as teenagers and are reunited 14 years later. At first there was a lot of tension between the couple and I loved the hostility as well. In my head I just knew this book was going to take me on a wild ride and be filled with angst. As the story progressed everything is fixed 1,2,3. I would have preferred a slower fix and burn with Coop and Eden. Fourteen years is a long time to be apart and the issues got resolved way too fast for my liking! As the story trekked on I found myself not being able to connect to the characters. I didn't feel the passion and their need to be together while reading. Some parts become painfully predictable. I normally enjoy Sawyer Bennett's books but this one did not work in my favor at all and I slowly lost interest.

Jilted by Sawyer Bennett is a sexy, uplifting, and sticky as molasses charming story of Hollywood glitz and glamour meets small town romance. If there is one thing that Sawyer Bennett has perfected is that she knows how to make her readers swoon and blush and boy oh boy did this book had all the romantic elements to leave you sated and satisfied. What’s there not to love when the plot centers on a second chance romance that involves a Hollywood actress who returns back home to her hometown and reunites with her first love.

Eden Goodnight is Hollywood’s leading lady. She has it all. Fame, money, fans, beauty, and plenty of award accolades. Her career is thriving and so when she discovers that her fiance has been cheating on her, Eden is beyond humiliated and decides to escape the paparazzi madness. Eden decides to head back home to Newberry, Georgia and stay in her family home. It is there where she reunites with her first love, Coop Mayfield. What Eden doesn’t know is that her family home now temporarily belongs to Coop as it was given to him by in her grandmother’s will. As a result, Eden and Coop are forced to cohabitate together while Eden is in town. With sexual tension so high, it was only a matter of time till these former lovers find themselves tangled in the sheets. What was suppose to be rebound sex with an expiration date soon leads them questioning if they can continue their relationship. Will Coop and Eden be able to survive a long distance relationship? Or will they discover every good thing must come to an end?

Jilted is definitely your feel good fun second chance romance that was both sexy and sweet. With Bennett’s playful dialogue and charming characters, she made the story of Eden and Coop such a delight. Readers can’t help but smile as a Hollywood actress gets her fairy tale real life ending. So if you are in need of fast and sweet love story then this book is definitely for you.

I know I say this all the time, but I FLOVE Sawyer Bennett. She just keeps giving us these amazing books with sexy, charming and down to earth characters. Jilted is filled with mature angst, down home southern charm, second chance love and a slurry mole or two that you will love to hate!

You hear all the time that “time heals all wounds” or “absence makes the heart grow fonder”…these are both true and false when it comes to Cooper and Eden. They’re young love was probably something we all would have been jealous of at that age. Their futures separate them for fourteen years and when they finally see each other again all the heard feelings and pain come back, but some things you just can’t look past.

The minute I laid eyes on her from across the yard, I recognized her. Her beauty was such that I would never mistake her for anyone else.

It seemed that as much as they wanted to hate each other they just couldn’t. It isn’t long before they slowly start to get over themselves and get under each other ;) Eden and Coop are both really mature about what they have been through and the “relationship” that they embark on now.

“The loss of young love was the sacrificial price, Eden. It hurt us both, but it wasn’t the end of the world for us either. We both moved on and we’re both alright.”

Rebound Sex. That’s what they are calling it, well I called BULL SHIT from the moment that statement was made LMAO Sawyer writes us such wonderful characters, I could read them and just see right through their little charade. Sure it doesn’t wall come back overnight, but watching them get reacquainted was great!

I’ve been ruined for anything but Eden. Losing her hurt in a way that I was never able to fully recognize until right this moment as I’m holding her in my arms and floating in the Atlantic Ocean.

And it gets H-O-T ladies….I mean don’t wear panties at all when you read, unless you want to go through a few pairs! I have to be honest with you, I don’t normally wish that I could BE a character in a book, but hot damn is Eden one lucky lady!

Oh geez. He’s not only going to fuck my ass, but it’s going to be hard. I don’t know whether to be scared or delighted.

I really loved how they could go from being sweet and romantic, lazy and relaxed and then before you know it they are naked somewhere and making you blush! Reading along as they tried to figure out what they want and where they are going had me on the edge of my seat. I wanted it to all work out but just couldn’t see how the movie star living in LA and the landscape designer from Newberry were going to make it work in the end. Same roots, different careers, perfect love.

This thing between me and Coop…is is headed anywhere beyond what we have right now?

….I guess you will have to read to find out ;)

Jilted was entertaining from the beginning, but for me, the story-line was too predictable and cliche. However, Coop and Eden's chemistry was enough to keep me glued to this sorta shortish book. So I got over my eye-roll syndrome really quickly once the sexy-sexy began LOL The story didn't WOW me, but that doesn't make the writing any less worthy. Sawyer Bennett is a very good story teller and she has proven that time and time again. This was by no means a bad story, just a story that I could take or leave....

he heart of the story is Coop & Eden’s road to romance and HEA. They are both great characters with worthwhile careers that they put their heart and souls into, neither, rightfully wanting to abandon their professional passions, even when their chemistry and physical passions drove them to together. Coop is a decent, kind man. He isn’t a push over and treats women with respect. It’s always a treat to have a non jerky hero mix things up a bit, break up the monotony of male protagonists who need such deep redemption it overshadows the romance of it all. *sigh* This nice guy deserved to finish first and I rooted for Coop!

5 Second Chance CROWNS

Sawyer Bennett continues to impress with her second book in the Love Hurts series. While reading Jilted, I became enamored with Coop and Eden and watching them rekindle what they once had between them.

Coop is the perfect southern gentleman, and I absolutely fell under his spell. His manners and candor are charming, and his love of the Newberry, the town they grew up in, is enchanting. While he as earned the reputation of a playboy, he has never pretended to like anyone or invest feelings in them, making him attractive to readers. He also rushes to the defense of Eden on several occasions but never in a way that demeans her, and that is so hot!

Eden is an actress with a philanthropic heart of gold, and it is completely authentic. Although she loves acting, she finds the world of Hollywood to be empty. Trying to evade scandal puts her back in her hometown and in the direct path of Coop. While she is home, Eden not only realizes how lonely and disconnected she has become, but she also realizes what she gave up with Coop so long ago.

This is going to be one of my favorite second chance romances, mainly because I love Eden and Coop together. Their first encounter will have you laughing, and the longer she stays and the more Coop comes to her defense the more readers see how much they still care for each other, dismissing the lust only assumption. Watching them fall back together is filled with passion and heart, and this is where readers will really fall in love with these two. The ending is absolutely perfect, and matches every single aspect of the evolution of these characters throughout the novel.

Sawyer Bennett has really mastered sensuous romance. I know with every single book that I will not only get heat and steam in the bedroom, but I will also get a story-line that pulls on my heart strings, making her a one-click author for me.

Ohhh, such a great book! Sawyer Bennett confirm herself as one of my favourite authors. I love her writing style, and every time I start one of her books I'm filled with excitement! And Jilted was no exception <3
Let's see what I loved about this book:
- Cooper is really one of a kind, a southern gentleman, a kind hearted man. One thing that I loved the most about his personality is that he isn't stuck in the past, he is able to let it go and not be driven but it.
- I like how Sawyer Bennett depicted Eden, a really successful woman who had to sacrifice some important things for her career, and after a difficult moment, is led to reconsider her life and her priorities.
- I loved the small town atmosphere, where everybody knows everybody and everything, where people are loyal and supportive of each other (see the restaurant scene, poor Eden!).
- I loved that the characters were depicted with a really well defined personality, we get to really know them, and the author creates a very thorough story, where each person had different and personal characteristics.

The storyline was great, I liked how it unfolded, and even when I wanted to trot Cooper, it only lasted less than one chapter, because I promptly forgave him thanks to his actions. I repeat, gentleman and kind hearted man!!!

And the epilogue... ohhh, my heart was so full of warm feelings <3 <3
So yes, absolutely read this book, you won't regret it!

I love second chance romances and this story was just what I needed!

Eden and Coop where perfect for each other, they had been separated a long time ago because life had other plans for them, but now they got another chance.

From the start I could tell that the rebound thing was not gonna work for them, the chemistry they shared was too good to just be that.
They said they had loved each other when they were young but it was just puppy love; on the contrary with just one look we could tell they still had strong feelings for each other.

Eden had changed him when she left, a part of him was lost forever and he ignored the fact for so long that he was unaware she still held that piece of his heart until they gave into one another again.

She had been living the life, had more money than she needed and everyone wanted a piece of her, but she had also lost something all those years ago. She was lonely, she had nobody in her side to share her success or to be a shoulder to cry on when needed, and that's why she ended up with that excuse of a man in the first place.

Their ultimate challenge is to let go of their grudges and hurt and get to know each other again, because even though time has changed them, deep inside they still are those two people who couldn't live without the other.

A fun and romantic love story that will leave you wanting more. In this book, true love finds a way!

This was a very sweet read, now don't let that fool you it was filled with Sawyer's usual amount of sexy time but in the overall picture of things I think it was a sweet read. I liked Eden and Cooper together and I totally understood why they broke up the first time which made their reunion that much more realistic for me.

There was quite a bit of angst and you're in luck if you enjoy some serious conflict. I didn't particularly like the way Eden's hometown acted with her return, and after it was revealed on why they were acting the way they were I was annoyed but understood the reasoning behind it all and how it effected the story line.

If you have read any of Sawyer Bennet's books before I think you will enjoy this read and if you haven't now is a perfect time to dive in and see why she is a best selling author.

Synopsis:
Sawyer Bennett's brand-new series of standalone romances! LOVE HURTS!

Hollywood hath no fury like a woman scorned. In this fun, flirty second-chance romance from New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett, an aspiring starlet reconnects with her first love.

Eden Goodnight went to Los Angeles to make it big, not to be publicly humiliated by her cheating fiancé at a red-carpet premiere. But when Eden returns to her hometown to put the scandal behind her, she can barely find a sympathetic shoulder to cry on. Turns out the locals are worse than the paparazzi, and they all think she’s turned into a spoiled brat. But in a strange twist of fate, the one person who seems to understand what Eden’s going through is Cooper Mayfield . . . the boy she left behind.

Small-town charm is no match for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. At least that’s what Coop’s been telling himself all these years. As Eden’s old flame—and the landscaper for her family’s historic home—Coop feels some responsibility for getting her out of her funk. But as soon as he sees that million-dollar smile, he’s a goner. Soon they’re making out like teenagers again. But when a life-changing role falls into Eden’s lap, Coop just hopes she doesn’t give up on a love that’s meant to be.

My Thoughts:
I had so much fun reading this terrific second chance romance! Loved Cooper and Eden. They were high school sweethearts that had to make the tough decision to stay together despite trying to maintain a long-distance relationship or to let each other go. Through many heartbreaking conversations, they decided that the relationship needed to end. Eden had the opportunity to work as a model and Coop had no interest in leaving their hometown. He wanted to get his degree and work for his father’s landscaping business while he obtained his landscape design degree. He had plans to take over the family business. Even though it was mutual, there were still hard feelings.

Eden rarely came back home. Her parents died in an accident when she was a young teen and her paternal grandmother was brought back home to raise Eden. This woman was a piece of work. She had no time for Eden and left her alone for holidays and wasn’t involved in her life. She was more interested in snagging another husband. There was no love lost between them. So, when she came home for her grandmother’s funeral, she didn’t stay. Her grandmother’s will was sent to her and Eden didn’t even read it She knew she was the sole heir to her parents family home. She was shocked to find out, the estate didn’t fully belong to her!

Eden needed to get out of Hollywood! She had transitioned from modeling to become an acclaimed actress. On the red carpet for her fiancee's premiere of his movie, Eden is told by a paparazzi that her fiancee had cheated on her with his costar and he had photo evidence. Things got ugly. She decided she needed to return home to get her head together. What she didn’t expect was that Coop was living in the house and he actually owned half of the estate. Her grandmother had the nerve to leave half of it to Coop! She couldn’t believe it!

Well folks, I have to tell you that it’s game on! Eden and Cooper go head to head. There is sexual tension, but there is a lot of hard feelings between both of them, so they argue and the banter and bickering is hilarious. I laughed so hard as they were throwing each other’s clothes out the master bedroom window! There are not only hard feelings between Cooper and Eden, but the townsfolk as a whole. They were not happy to see their prodigal daughter! They are downright dismissive and hostile. Eden is at a loss as to why they hate her. There is quite the story behind this one! Lots of small town gossip!

I had such a great time watching things fall into place for Eden and Cooper. There are a lot of misunderstandings that need to be righted and controversy between Coop’s other woman, Cooper and Eden. There is no cheating, as Cooper broke it off with the other woman before he was with Eden. The chemistry between Coop and Eden is scorching!

I don’t want to give anymore away. There is a lot that goes on and decisions need to be made and feelings need to be sorted!

If you love a hot and steamy second chance romance that has some great laughs, give this book a chance!

I love a good second chance at love story. This one does not disappoint with its wild cast of characters. Oh girl, someone needs to put Ashley in her place. That girl got me fired up! There is a bunch of sexy scenes in this book and I love that the characters are falling in love with each other again. Good supporting cast of characters too, they really help keep the story interesting and fun!

Jilted by Sawyer Bennett was a great read!

Every single novel written by this author has been absolutely phenomenal, and this novel is no exception.

Jilted had so many "awe" moments!! There was some hot moments, that at the exact same time, can be considered romantic. The characters had such a unique and dynamic persona about them, that you constantly want to keep reading about them.

Jilted is definitely a must read novel from Sawyer!

4/5 Stars!

4 Can They Make A Go of It Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free It's Live!!!
Sometimes the question in relationships is... can we really make this work. Can we have all the elements lined up to clear a path for two people who love each other... be able to overcome any obstacles to be together. Because you can love someone with all your heart... but if he is in one place and life's opportunities are drawing you to another...sometimes it may not be the time for the both of you to be together...

Sawyer Bennett takes this question and lays out a tale of exactly that...and we get the benefit of all her skill in seeing her answer.

In this tale, she has the base be a small town and our two main characters are high school sweethearts. Cooper Mayfield and Eden Goodnight were the real deal. He came from a family of warmth and direction. His father had a gardening business and Cooper always knew he would join the company when he finished college. He was going to get a landscaping and design degree so when he returned, he could have the family business expand. He loved the small town he grew up in and this was going to be his life with Eden.

Eden was all in with Cooper's dreams... she loved his family because hers was not warm and fuzzy....she lost her parents and had to live with a very cold and distant grandmother...and she truly felt hurt and alone by the emotional neglect of her grandmother.

Cooper was at college when Eden happened to be shopping in a mall in Atlanta one day...and on that fateful day, there was a modeling scout who took one look at Eden and saw magazine covers in her future. Eden didn't know what to make of this guy, but when he turned out to be legit... and the money he was telling her she could make was something that would allow her to be independent from her cold grandmother... then she had to see what it was all about.

At first Cooper was supportive and Eden promised she was only going to do jobs where she could be back, close to Cooper most of the time....But best laid plans do not always work out... and the modelling contracts became more lucrative and the destinations farther away for longer periods of time...So as you can figure out... Cooper and Eden were having a difficult time maintaining the relationship and dreams they had...

The final push for them to separate was Eden's offer to do a film...Cooper knew this was a once in a lifetime deal... and wouldn't stand in her way...Eden needed to do this...was torn as she and Cooper were the real deal... but life also has people make choices they don't want to all the time...

Fast forward to today...Cooper has established himself as a successful landscape artist and grew the family business like he planned. He had loved working with his father and now Cooper wished he was here to see how far the family business had grown. He is still the good looking guy only more so... and every available woman in town has wished at one time of another Cooper was into relationships...

Because He Was Not..

Nope...Cooper has become that guy... the one who makes sure the partner for the night, weekend or few weeks knows from the beginning... there is no Future with him...He will give them Great Sex...some enjoyable easy dinners with Great Sex to follow... but usually after a 2 or 3 weeks ... things are done... no harm as everyone knew the game plan from the start...

Cooper also had lived life as one of the Good Guys... When Eden's grandmother started to age and things became difficult for her, Cooper was there doing whatever she needed...For years he looked after her... and when she passed...she made sure he knew she appreciated his caring.

So here we have hometown Eden, now an award winning actress and legit famous person coming back to hide from the gaggle fu@k her life has become. It seems her equally famous movie star fiancee couldn't "keep it in his pants" during the last film shoot. This all comes out during the premier of the movie. Eden has a scorned woman moment and it is broadcast across all social media... and then the cheating idiot proceeds to spin everything against Eden ...Naturally his Twitter Trolls take that as permission to attack and make Eden's Life awful.

Eden decides she needs to regroup and the one place no one would think to find her is her childhood home. Her grandmother left her the stately mansion and all Eden can think of is going there and hiding for a very long time...

Only Eden is hit with the reality of Cooper... and he is everywhere...

This is a tale of two people who really were meant to be...and had to work through their lives, figure out what is important, and finally see what was right before their eyes...

This has everything a read should have...Twists of fate, confusion which gets straighten out, crazy fun banter and actions, lots of heart and understanding and....

Steaming, Hot, "I Want That Sex".

If you are looking for a read which will give you all of that without unnecessary angst and Huge Payoff... Then grab Jilted. This Love Hurts Series Hurts So Good!

This was exactly what I was looking for - a sexy, low drama, second chance romance. The story was playful and funny with plenty of steam and I loved every second! This is book two in the Love Hurts series, but can be read as a standalone and the characters are completely unrelated to the characters from the first book, Sex in the Sticks.

This was exactly the kind of solid and heated book I needed! It’s exactly what I have come to expect from Sawyer Bennett! This is such a light and engaging story! There’s just something about the second chance troupe that always has me coming back for more.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

I can’t even begin to tell you how giddy and romanced I felt as I read Jilted. It’s a second chance love story between Coop and Eden. I loved experiencing them overcoming all of their issues and getting their happily ever after. Jilted is an excellent read and one that I’d highly recommend you check out.

These high school sweethearts were deeply and passionately in love and things ended between them not because of a major fall out but because of their age and long-distance. However, some pretty major drama in Eden’s life has her returning home and back into Coop’s world – thus giving them a second chance to get it right.

These two are freaking hilarious. I loved their quick wit and banter as well as their almost childish reactions to one another. You easily get the sense that they’re both deeply embedded underneath one another’s skin.

But it’s the sexual tension and passion for one another that really just has you rooting them on. You can’t help but be bewitched by their chemistry.  It’s off the charts hot and left me devouring page after page, excited for the moments they surrendered to their lust.   They were incredible together!!

Bottom line – this is a fun, sexy read and I freaking loved it!! Jilted exceeded all of my expectations and I can’t recommend  it enough – get your copy today!
