Great second-chance romance! Eden and Coop have great chemistry which makes this an entertaining read and quite enjoyable. If you like steamy, second-chance romances, this book is for you! Would definitely recommend it.

From the moment I picked up Jilted I was pulled into the story and Eden Goodnight’s life. Jilted is a beautiful second chance romance. After being humiliated in public fashion Eden returns to her hometown, a small town once where her first love Cooper “Coop” Mayfield still resides.

I loved that this book was a straight up love story; the author provides the reader will a beautifully crafted world one that had me thinking Eden and Coop were real and the town of Newberry, Georgia is a real place.

The author did an amazing job at provided the reason these two broke-up as teenagers, giving enough backstory so the reader understands why Eden and Coop separated when they did.
The story then gives the reader a deeply understand of how both Eden and Coop have changed and why, why now is when they were destined to be together. Eden and Coop get to know each again both in and out of the bedroom. I should add these two rediscovering each of in the bedroom was hot and truly enjoyable to read, I mean think about the lover you were at 18 vs 14 years later!

I really don’t want to give a way the plot, but I will say I loved how Eden’s past specifically her grandma’s plans played into the how Coop and Eden are forced into each other orbits and I adore the glimpse into how the life of a highly successful professional can sometimes spiral into something you never imagine, something that might not reflect who you want to be as a person.

The epilogue of this story melted my heart and put a giant smile on my face!

Thank you Ms Bennett for this truly enjoyable second chance romance about adults!

It should be noted that this book is completely stand alone though listed as a book 2 in a series the characters are not related to those on book 1.

Sugary sweet second chance at love story.

I'll admit, M/F contemporary romances aren't really my thing, but I've been trying to expand my horizons recently.

My biggest takeaway from this story was that it was nice. Sure, we all crap on "nice," but nice makes you feel good, makes you smile, and while it doesn't blow you away, nice simply satisfies a lot of the time.

Don't read this book if you are in a cynical mood. It's a "poor little rich girl" who turns out to be flawless and saintly. She is famous and skinny, but she donates all her free time to charity and can eat cupcakes until she feels sick but can easily maintain her figure. I mean, come on...

However, there is something very charming about the story. A southern small town feel, lots of good, dirty sex, and a fast-paced love story that made me feel happy inside.

Jilted is easy, enjoyable reading. It wasn't my favorite book I've read this month (hell, maybe this week), but I'd recommend it to a friend looking for a fun escape.

Jilted is the second book in the Love Hurts Series.
The story is not only funny, but sad, sexy and almost drama free. A fun and enjoyable read that allowed me to get lost in a second chance romance that was meant to be.

Following Coop & Eden's journey has been a delightful adventure filled with all the feels that got me routing for them. It was crazy funny for them to try to deny their true feelings when the explosive chemistry and sexual tension between them was almost palpable. The characters are complex, the banter is witty, intriguing and entertaining throughout the entire book.

Every single time, I found myself drawn deeper into a world where I can become anything or anyone, go through everything and experience what those amazing characters go through for the length of the story. When you find an author that makes you feel and capable to transport you with her/his stories, you don't let go!!

This story may not be for you, but it's for me and loved it. I highly recommend it if you like Second Chance Romance without so much drama and bs!!

Jilted by Sawyer Bennett is the second book in the Love Hurts Series. Book one is Sex In The Sticks. Each book is a standalone about a different couple. I recommend to read Sex In The Sticks - it's a great read!
Meet Eden Goodnight, a worldfamous actress and oscar winner, and ex model.
Her fiancé cheats on her and humiliates her. Now she's on her way back to her hometownn to lick her wounds.
Everything could be peachy- if there weren't Coop Mayfield, her highschool boyfriendn and love of her life. Coop is a landscape designer and owns a maintenance company.
He and the citicens of Newberry are really disappointed in and angry at her.
And now the fun begins. You can read how they fight, how they make up, break up and how they live in their happy bubble. Until this bubble bursts.

I love Sawyer Bennett's books. She is one of my few one-click authors. And with Jilted she did it again! I really, really love this book. I was hooked from page one.
I love her beautiful words and I love her writing. I love the characters and I love the story. I can feel the characters emotions in the words.
I Highly recommend Jilted and wish I could give more than 5 Stars!! Thank you Sawyer Bennett!

Eden Goodnught and Cooper Mayfield were high school sweethearts who continued their relationship as Freshmen in college. During their Freshman year, Eden is "discovered" and asked to model. Not having a family to help support her during college, she takes the job to help with finances. One job leads to another and Eden eventually had to decide whether to continue with college and Cooper or try modeling. Eden chooses modeling. Although Cooper and Eden try a long distance relationship, ultimately Cooper cuts Eden loose so she can pursue her dreams. Thus wrecking his....

Cooper, not being able to get over his one true love, becomes a player. He dates and has "fun" with women, but does NOT do commitment! He vows not to lose his heart again. Cooper graduated and moved back home to help his father with his landscaping business. Cooper also designs waterfalls and bigger landscaping projects in surrounding towns.

Devasted by her cheating ex, Eden decides to run. She drives to the last place she was truly happy, the Goodnight House. Eden returns only to find out her high school crush co-owns her childhood home. Eden's grandma left half to Eden and half to Cooper when she passed away. Eden returned home for her grandma's funeral, but didn't stick around for the reading of the will as she and her grandmother were NOT close. Eden lost her parents as a young child and she was left with her uncaring grandma.

It took 14yrs for Eden to return home. Now she's considered a stranger and she's not held in high regard due to a misunderstanding. Eden's devastated and hates that everyone is cruel to her. Eden returned in hopes of "finding" herself, figuring out her future, and finding peace. With Coop's help, the town begins to see Eden as the hometown girl she is--not the famous actress/model.

I loved this novel!!! I thought it was sad how completely alone Eden was, even though she was engaged. I hate how she "settled" just so she wouldn't have to be alone. I loved the banter and childish behavior of both Eden and Cooper when fighting over the Master Bedroom. I loved how Coop was able to "see" the real Eden and get her to do non-glamorous things! I highly recommend this novel! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Jilted by Sawyer Bennett was a fun, sweet and entertaining second chance love story.

I enjoyed the storyline, it kept me turning the pages late into the night and I was happy with how Coop and Eden were able to put the past hurts behind them and trust their feelings and not let fears dictate their future.
These two had a strong attraction, I loved their banter and their chemistry was off the charts.

Overall, Jilted is a great addition to the Love Hurts series, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them.

Engaging, lighthearted, and passionate!

This is an enchanting, second-chance romance about a woman who followed her dreams instead of her heart and the man she left behind brokenhearted.

The writing is well done. The main characters are driven, loyal, supportive, and endearing. And the plot takes us from Georgia to Tinseltown in a storyline bursting with glitz, glamour, small-town charm, irresistible chemistry, spicy banter, delicious heat and enduring love.

Overall I have to say this is a sweet, playful, sexy read that has characters you can’t help but love and an ending that will definitely leave you wanting more.

Cooper and Eden were each others' first loves, but then Eden left to pursue a modeling and eventual acting career leaving Cooper behind. They were both heart-broken, but both moved on and it's now fourteen years later.

Eden returns to her hometown to lick her wounds over a bad engagement and doesn't get the welcome that she was expecting. I have to admit - Cooper was a bit of an a** in the beginning and he had his moments near the end. But in between - he was just what you would want in a good Southern boyfriend.

This is a sweet and thoroughly enjoyable read. Second chance love is the BEST!!

I voluntarily reviewed an uncorrected advance reader copy of this book.

From the beginning of the story, I wanted to be Eden some of the time. The opening scene is something I could see myself doing and then regretting it when it backfired. But oh, it was sweet while it lasted! Nothing worse than finding out someone you were ‘dating’ wasn’t as into you as you were into them so to speak. Been there, done that. Sawyer Bennett tells it like it is and you feel like you are a fly on the wall much of the time. I mean, if your love life is perfect, then you couldn’t begin to relate. But I’m sure most of us have had our share of ups and downs.

This second chance story kept me glued to the pages as usual. Eden chose modeling over her college boyfriend and never looked back. But when she is humiliated and runs back to the only place that she can hide, she finds that guy living in her house. Coop’s been given half ownership by her deceased grandmother and has no plans leave just because she didn’t read the will.

They both have things in their past and present to work out but they agree to give an unconventional relationship a chance. The story will keep you laughing and turning the page to see what happens next!

I love a good second chance romance and with Jilted you get one. Eden and Coop are high school sweethearts who go to college together. Eden lost her parents when she is young and is raised by her cold and distant grandmother. Coop is her everything.
When Eden is discovered by a modeling agency she heads off to become a model. Coop tries to make it work, but a long distance relationship is hard and for young adults, almost impossible. When he ask her to make a choice she does and it changes her life. She goes on to be a Oscar winning actress. Coop finishes college and goes back home to work along side his Dad in his landscaping business.
When Eden is humiliated on the red carpet by her fiance, she blows up on him and as always in Hollywood things are twisted and she decides to run home to get away and rethink things. She hasn't been home in about 14 years and a lot has changed and for some reason everyone seems to hate her now. Even Coop is cool to her. Whats really funny is through some interesting circumstances he is living in her home as a part owner.
Can either of them let the past go and become friends again or is something deeper still there. I really enjoyed this book. I love that each of them had to let the past go before they could move forward.

I love a great second chance romance and Sawyer Bennett did a fantastic job with ‘Jilted’. I enjoyed her writing style, character development, and execution of the storyline. Eden was a bit pretentious in the beginning, but really seemed to come back to her roots being back in her hometown and especially with Coop. Their connection never truly burned out when they split fourteen years ago. It was a distance thing, not a loss of love. They still have the chemistry, spark, and passion – whether it be arguing or between the sheets. I loved the battle of the master bedroom! Their journey back together, both of them working through the hurt and pain of the past and reconnecting was full of emotion, hilarity, and growth. This is a great romantic read.

I voluntarily received and reviewed this advanced reader copy of Jilted from Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept via NetGalley.

Jilted is a fun second chance love story in the Love Hurts series.

I enjoyed this book and found both Eden (our heroine) and Cooper (our hero) likable and engaging.

Eden is a burned out movie star and Cooper is the hometown boy she left behind for greener pastures. While years apart were fruitful for both of them, Cooper and Eden never found the depth of love with anyone else that they had with each other. Also, the characters seemed to actually mature with age so that they could recognize what they had once had was special and what they could still have was special too.

In the end I really felt that Eden and Cooper had a connection and that they belonged together and I was happy that they found their HEA.

I would recommend Jilted to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance.

I loved this book. It's Hollywood and glitz and glamour. It's southern charm. It's total sexiness and also very sweet. It is a great balance of everything I loved all put into a great second chance romance that I adore. I could not put this book down.

I loved the main character. I thought she was strong and I thought she was sassy. I will admit that I did not like the male main character in the beginning. It took a while for me to warm up to him, but once he started to open up and come around more, so did I and I ended up falling for him by the end of the story. I am loving this series and can't wait to see what Sawyer brings us next.

Another absolute GEM by author Sawyer Bennett! This is true second chance romance at its best. With a rocky start, a fun “first” encounter, and a second chance at a great time between the sheets and yeah, eventually and inevitably LOVE… Jilted is a must read! I really enjoyed the dynamics between Eden and Coop. The big Hollywood movie star back at “home” where here first love is more than just the landscaper of her family’s historic home. The whole premise felt fresh and these characters came to life in a brilliant way.

Coop is stubborn, Eden is strong and doesn’t back down, they both know it’s more than sex but don’t want admit it, and with so much history between them the story makes for an entertaining read. Jilted is just a bit angsty, a whole lot sexy, insanely steamy, and super fun to read. Any fan of this author knows that her stories are addictive and Jilted is no different. Pick up the standalone and fall for Eden and Coop, plus cheer them on as they work their way to the possibility of HEA.

5 They're Meant To Be Stars!!!

I'm so in love with this series of standalone books in the Love Hurts Series. Jilted is Book Two and we have Eden and Cooper who were high school sweethearts but when Eden left their small town to pursue becoming a Hollywood Actress she left Cooper in the dust.

Fast forward a few years and now Eden has returned home thanks to her being Jilted and while things are the same they're also different. What used to be an easy relationship between her and Cooper now not so much. But that's ok, because that underlying anger/hurt means there's some hotter than hot passion that our H/h have in store for them!

I absolutely loved that these two didn't just fall into each other's arms. The fact that they had to work for it made me love this book that much more. Coop was obviously the man for Eden, but man the route to this was a tough one. But when they got there, oh my!! The alpha, dirty talking Coop had me fanning myself! I so appreciated how Eden realized there's more to life than being the big Hollywood Star and while she thought she didn't want small-town life, when the love of your life is there.

But what happens when the role Eden has been dreaming about comes her way? Will she be able to keep her second chance with the oh so swoonworthy Coop AND take this role? Well, I'm not going to tell you, but suffice it to say, while you're reading this one to the end, make sure to have a fan ready because you'll definitely need it!!!

Readers looking for a little afternoon delight will find just that with this fast-paced read of second chances as opposites attract. Readers will find themselves cheering on the one-time teenage lovers reuniting with fireworks the result in this scorching tale that had me blushing as well as putting a smile on my face.

Cooper and Eden were once inseparable. They were each other's first and planned a future together that fate ultimately tore asunder. When a talent scout set Eden on a path towards the modeling world her relationship with Coop couldn't survive the long distances and they went their separate ways. For Eden, life became a whirlwind of wealth and fame as she segued from modeling to Oscar award winner. It's a lonely life though, full of superficiality and lies that have her running home to lick her wounds. Once there she discovers hard truths about herself along with the chance to reunite with the one man she's never forgotten. Cooper's never forgotten Eden either as her leaving him left him leery of relationships and interested in only casual connections. He loves his quaint hometown, the family business he's made even more profitable, and never felt the need to experience her world but can't help being drawn to her once again when she arrives back in town licking her wounds.

Eden and Cooper's connection still burns bright. Their banter early on is challenging and teeming with sexual tension. They can't go back to determine "what if" but they're more than happy to enjoy each other's company for the few weeks before her next film starts filming. Their time together shows them easily re-bonding over teenage haunts and helping her regain her standing in the community. From numerous erotic encounters to witty and sexually-charged banter theirs is an entertaining connection that grows more meaningful each day they're together until Cooper's doubts almost lead to a repeat of the past that involved groveling and a Grand Gesture.

Eden's a strong-willed woman brought low by her fiancee's betrayal which preyed on her self-esteem. She once had a loving relationship with her parents until they died and left her in the care of her grandmother who never had time or a care for her. As Cooper was the only person to show his feelings for her their separation gave her nothing to go home to and led to hard feelings from the townsfolk. Their words were hurtful and had me aching for her and also had her seeing herself in a whole new light. Cooper's a strong-willed, sexy man whose heart was once broken by Eden's leaving. He's loyal to his home and proud of the life he's made. His love for Eden is clear but his fears even clearer in a conclusion that left me guessing until the very end. On a whole this was a charming and sentimental romance. Small town living was on vivid display through small town prejudices, gossip, and colorful denizens. The romance itself was hot and heavy but showed heart too and I enjoyed seeing the two of them find each other again. From start to finish this was an enjoyable read with a few predictable acts along the way that had me cheering by the turn of the final page.

I loved this book, it was awesome! Of course I love a good second chance romance and this was definitely a good one. Eden and Coop had a young love that did not survive her career, but the end broke both their hearts. I kinda loved that, there was no misunderstanding or cheating or big terrible fight that got all out of control just two young people who couldn’t figure out how to make their love and their lives work together. When Eden comes back to Newberry there has been plenty of time for misunderstanding and resentment to grow and there are a few pretty entertaining childish fights between them but their combustible chemistry quickly overtakes their petty differences and the big issues get cleared up with relative ease. I loved watching these two fall in love again and figure out the things that really matter. As I said at the beginning this is an excellent second chance romance and I highly recommend it. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

This is Book 2 in the "Love Hurts" Series and as always with Sawyer Bennett's books I really, really loved it!!!

This second chance romance is sweet, entertaining, romantic, easy to read and has two great main characters!

This is the story of Eden Goodnight, a very famous actress. Eden is jilted in the first scene of the book. She decides to go back to her small home town in Georgia to hide from the press but she isn't welcome back as she thought she would be. Once she is there, she meets her ex boyfriend Coop who is now living in her home...

I just loved Coop. He is such a wonderful character!

The love story is beautiful and I couldn't stop reading this great romance!
