Very erotic book! Which definitely was a delight! Great characters, sassy female who has been given a hard time in life, alpha male awaiting his mate, which results in a recipe for magic. Great book to escape into and leave the real world behind.
LUCIAN'S DELIGHT is exactly that ... a delight. I picked it up and thought let me read a bit before getting ready for bed and ... you guessed it, there was little sleep for me until the last page. The pace was fast, the characters amazing, the setting realistic and the romance ... steamy. I guess now for those who have not read author N. J. Walters “Dalakis Passions” that I should point out that this is a very erotic book, with instant lust (thought to be honest she thought it was a dream).
I loved Delight's tenacity and determination in making the best out of what life had handed her. Then, of course, life hands her Lucian. I got a kick out of Delight telling both Lucian and one of his brothers off when they got too bossy. Lucian, of course, is amazing and hot. There is also quite a bit of action that can happen when you have a protective vampire willing to do whatever it takes to end the danger for his woman. Even though there might have been a few moments of improbability, I read for enjoyment, wonder, escape and fun and I found all these things and more in LUCIAN'S DELIGHT.

I love a good paranormal romance, especially one with lots of amazing sex and vampires. This was right up my alley. I totally enjoyed this and I'm looking forward to reading more of about the Dalakis brothers and family.
Lucian Dalakis is the middle brother of 3. He is all male and all dominating. Like all men in his family he's destined to have only one love in his life. Lucian was by far fantastic. He was harsh when he needed to be, but rarely towards Delight. He was hot from head to toe and just had this sort of "swag" to him. Everything he said and did had me wanting to read more from him. Definitely a perfect vampire.
Delight is a sweet, personable woman that was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Thanks to such an unfortunate situation she found the love of her love. I enjoyed her character. She was very bold and knew how to handle herself. I love that she never freaked out about Lucian being a vampire. She had an open mind and I loved that about her.
The romance was pretty fantastic for me. A vamp and a human who are soulmates...yes please! The feelings they had for each other were intense and the sex was H O T. Things did move pretty fast between them, but considering the events that took place it all played out pretty great.
I enjoyed Stefan, Nadine and Chase. I can't wait to read more. Definitely a new fan of N.J. Walters work!
Loved every second of this book! While i did not read the first book in the series, it was not hard to understand what was going on.. This is a very easy book to read as a standalone, although by the ending you will want to continue the series and see what happens not only with Delight and Lucian but also with his brother Stefan! I managed to finish this book in 2 days because i couldn't put it down! I was so intrigued by the twist on Vampires this book gave us! It's not the typical Vampire love story but rather an erotica, romance, drama filled story that captures you and doesn't let you go!
My first NJ Walters novel, and I'm hooked! Lucian is a sexy, commanding alpha vampire who rescues Delight, his sweet, sassy and stubborn match. The two of them set the pages on fire and find themselves in situations they never bargained for. Definitely worth the read, and Walters holds you on the line for more as you've gotten to know the supporting characters and want to see that they get their happily ever after as well.
Absolutely wonderful!!! Oh boy this was a good one. Lucian and Delight were marvelous together!!. Lucian is a formidable man, intense, sexy, and so deliciously focused on Delight. Lucky girl.!! Delight is sweet with a bit of steel in her spine. I loved the secondary characters and I can not wait for Stefan' s book! I'm so glad I found this author and I'm looking forward to more books by her.
'Lucian’s Delight' by N.J. Walters is book Two in the "Dalakis Passion" series. This is the story of Delight Deveraux and Lucian Dalakis. I have read the other book but feel this is easily a standalone book.
Delight is a women that has two jobs and tries to help her younger brother get through school. So she hasn't had time for a relationship. For several years she has been having a nightmare of being attacked. But here the last few times she has dream that someone saves her.
Lucian is a vampire that is cursed with only one true love. Which means he may never find her but here lately he has started dreaming of saving a women and her being his mate.
Lucian goes forward to find this women who is his mate and bring her out of his dreams.
This was another Hot Story by Ms. Walters! I can't wait to read more by her!

I liked these reads so far. They are fast and can finish in one or two sittings. Lucian has found his true mate and she is strong. I would like the author to elaborate on her abilities and the guys as well. I feel for Stephan and want him to be happy. I would like the author to put more tid-bits regarding their lives and abilities. Stephan is stronger than the others. Devine has dreams and can sense things. Want just more information. It just trickles and I don't like it. This still was a good read. Not bad.
I received this ARC from the publisher via Net Galley for my honest opinion. Thank you Net Galley!
Holy Provolone, Batman!
I have no idea what to think of this book. Lucian’s Delight was cheesy—B-movie cheesy. NJ Walters has treated me to a variety of different types of book, but this was a new one for me. I’m not quite sure cheesy is how I was supposed to take it, but well, them’s the breaks I guess.
Lucian’s character was oh so very mysterious and vampy that I kept waiting for him to say “I vant to drink your blood” in a really bad Romanian accent. He was very courtly and serious and I just couldn’t connect with him. Delight was incredibly naive and the more I read, the more I decided she was just plain old TSTL. She had my eyes rolling quite a lot.
But what really cemented the cheesy label was the sex scenes. One was over 20 pages long and they were full of turgid body parts, slick folds, heated depths, and yes, the word “moist” was used. There were lots of clichéd phrases like “Take me, Lucian. Make me yours”, “We have only just begun”, and “I have no control left”.
Although I never got past the absolute ridiculousness of the dialogue, I ended up settling in and having a bit of fun with it. After all, what good Wisconsin girl doesn’t enjoy a serving or two (or ten) of the most pungent of cheeses. At one point I wondered if I could make a drinking game out of the sex scenes. You know, a sip for words like “depths” or “folds”, a full shot for overused phrases, and “moist” spurring on a chugging contest.
Even with making the best of a cheesy situation and having a little fun at the books expense, Lucian’s Delight was a disappointment. Ms. Walters has treated me to some seriously sexy good reads, but this one didn’t work for me.
2.5 Limburger On Rye Stars
I love reading books with a kick ass heroine and a mind of her own. Nothing makes me smile more than standing up to the vampire and not afraid to voice her opinion. Great story line with strong alpha men and a couple who believes in fated mates.
This book takes a little bit of fated mates, some vampire romance, and twists it around a little to come up with a unique love story. Full disclosure: I haven't read book 1 in this series yet, but I don't think it's really necessary to enjoy this one on its own. Oh, and another warning, there are some near-rape scenes in here that might prove problematic if you're not expecting it.
Delight has some surprisingly realistic dreams, so it's not a shock to her when a vampire ends up seducing her in one, asking her why she's in his dreams. Sure, it's a change to her typical frightening nightmares, but she's willing to accept it if she gets a break from them. She's a hard working guardian to her younger brother and is determined to save up enough money to send him to art school. This means that she's working two jobs which puts her out dangerously late at night. It's here that her nightmares begin to become reality.
Lucian is a vampire who has been cursed to only get one love. Said love will be able to share his dreams and bond with him, if he can find her and convince her to become his. Lucky for the both of them, Lucian ends up living out their rescue dream/nightmare in real life, which appears to bode well for their romance. Oh, and the attraction is just as good in real life as it is in their dreams. Maybe even more so.
So, things can't be super easy, or we wouldn't have a real story, right? The big bad is still out there and determined to make Lucian's job of keeping Delight and her family safe even harder. There's action, some really really stupid moves on Delight's part, but ultimately we get a solid HEA. If this is an indicator for what the rest of the series is like, I'm in!
Murder, Sex and Passion! Lucien’s Delight is the second book in the Dalakis Passion series and I loved it. Being caught in the wrong place see Delight Deveraux rescued by Lucian Dalakis. Lucien has found his one but he will need to take matters into his own hands if he is too save both their futures.
If you go into this realizing it is definitely an erotica and there is insta-lust then you could really enjoy this book. It was entertaining and I wanted to keep reading to see how it ended. I just think that it could have had a better beginning, it felt like it started in the middle.
I had a problem with this book right from the first chapter. I know this was marketed as erotica but I don't care what situation a person is in, it is not okay to have sex with someone that you just met, in the middle of the night at a graveyard, who just killed a bunch of men right in front of you, even if he did it to save your life. I just couldn't get past this one scene while reading the rest of the book.
Furthermore, the second time they met (where they had sex again) she decided she was in love. Who does that?
If you can get past this, the actual story is pretty okay. I liked Lucian's brothers, they were fun, interesting, and I would like to learn more about them. Since this was the second book in the series I missed what happened in the first one but you don't need to read them in order to understand what was happening. It could easily have been a standalone.
Lucian’s Delight is the type of sexy, erotic read that we’ve come to expect from N.J. Walters.
As with book one, the storyline is exciting and provides a wonderful platform for the characters to grow and develop. If you haven’t read book one, don’t dismay. Each of these stories is capable of being read as a standalone, but who wouldn’t want to follow the series from the beginning.
I’m looking forward to more of this intriguing series!
Another superb paranormal romance by Ms. Walters. Good solid plot and romance.
Total sex fest with little plot and no surprises.
I should have learned with the first one that it was going to be that way. I like sexy times, but this just wasn't sexy to me and just seemed like a long playing porno. Lucian seemed to have to respect and just did her whenever he please and even with his brother watching....
It started off good but then just went downhill. The other series I have read by this author have been so good and this one just falls flat.
Received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
