The parts in this book about traditional Yoga were good. However, the "Energy Medicine" part of the was totally confusing and I did not see how it connected with traditional yoga practice.

I thought "Energy Medicine" had something do to with Eastern Medicine like the Chakras or Chi. However, it seems to be something totally different. The book did not convince me to learn more about Energy Medicine and to add it just seem to complicate a Yoga practice to add it. (I find it hard enough to do basic meditation and yoga routines. I am of the Keep It Simple School of thought in terms of exercise and self care). Furthermore, I thought there was too much theoretical information for what is marketed as a self-help book. I think self-help books should be practical and action oriented with just enough of the theory to convince you that it is worthwhile to do the practice.

The straight yoga parts of the book were good. There were many interesting Yoga poses demonstrated.

Thus, I found this well written as a straight yoga book but I did not like the part about Energy Medicine.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.

An interesting book but as a non medical practitioner and a novice yoga practitioner, I found it to be too technical for me. I'm sure that others will find it very useful. The poses are clearly explained and illustrated and the book is laid out in logical sections so easy to dip into it for reference purposes.

This is an excellent book that will teach you how to bring your body back into balance when you are dealing with a health issue. A lot of good information in this book.

A little more out there at times then I normally like to read. However, I love Yoga. I've found it to be so beneficial for so many things in my life from back pain to blood sugar and anxiety problems. I'm always looking for new information on how to use my body to treat and take care of my body. This book is perfect for that. So much good information packed into it!
For me it's certainly easy to skim past the more "out there" ideas and still come away with tons of solid info on taking better care of myself.

I have chronic fatigue syndrome and this book has been very inspiring to read, making me want to work hard to continue along my healing journey.

The book is well laid out and easy to follow even though the concepts may be very new to a lot of people. It is well structured with information about the different elements of the body, then yoga routines you can do depending on which element you identify with. The routines are well described and are accompanied by clear photographs. For me, the routines are too hard and I may have to follow the suggestion in the book to visualise anything that's too hard for me.

What interests me the most in this book is the first and final parts either side of the routines. These sections cover things like the importance of journaling, how to energy test, tapping techniques and information on lifestyle changes you can make to complement the formal practice (diet, practicing gratitude etc). These bits were fascinating and gave me a lot of food for thought. I am certainly going to dig out my never read copy of 'The Little Book of Energy Medicine' by Donna Eden and incorporate energy medicine into my life. Hopefully, when I am further along my healing journey, I'll be able to return to this book and try the routines.

This is a great manual that purchasers will turn to time and time again. Such a great idea and very useful to those of us who are interested in yoga.

This book is bursting with valuable and insightful information. It covered a wide area of knowledge and encompassed many different disciplines. I was especially drawn to the metal section because I found the exercises in this section much more enjoyable and appealing. There was lots of new exercises, advice and things to think about, which makes a change from the usual books on yoga. It is great to have 'WHY' and a 'Reason' for doing things. It is also good to be able to consult the book when you have an area you are struggling with. The only thing I would have liked more of was directed individual advice for particular ailments. The sections covered generalised areas and lots of things were encompassed but I would have liked more information on how to develop a small program for something more specific. However I also realise that it is impossible to cover everything in a small book and what was there is very thorough. I enjoyed the approach and the writing style and the author has done an excellent job. Thank you
