Brooke Green has carried the ache of losing her mother since she was a mere seven years old. Her father did his best to raise her, but there was still an emptiness that only her absent mother could fill. Her father passes and at this funeral Brooke’s grandmother shocked Brooke by telling her that her mother Sarah was still alive. Sarah left her family because the burden of being a mother was too much for her.
This revelation sends Brooke on a quest to find Sarah. She finds that Sarah is living in Atlanta with her new family. The mix of emotions—anger, curiosity, and longing—swirls within Brooke. When she encounters Sarah’s husband, Tony, Brooke sees an opportunity to make her mother pay. But revenge has consequences, and Brooke’s plan may endanger everyone involved.
SEEKING SARAH is a tale of forgiveness, redemption, and family drama. Billingsley reminds us that love, pain, and healing are intricately woven threads in the fabric of our lives. So grab a cozy spot, a cup of tea, and immerse yourself in this powerful exploration of what it means to seek—and perhaps find—forgiveness and understanding.
This book had no redeeming characters. I strongly disliked every character and all of their choices. Soap opera like… so much drama from wholly unlikeable characters
This book started off great and carried itself at a great pace. However it fell apart in the middle and limped it’s way home to a rather poor ending.

I loved it! When the world is stressing you out, and you need something totally mindless and completely entertaining, this is the answer. I did not know what would happen next, but I knew whatever it what, it would be outrageous. I was right. It's been a while since I could not put a book down. It's been a while since I was so thoroughly entertained by a book. Thanks, #NetGalley for this ARC, which was given to me in exchange for my honest opinion
Jerry Springer eat your heart out! Oh, the drama!
Okay, I didn't mean to start with that. There were things about this book I liked. I love that we have a diverse character, though the cover picture doesn't give that impression. On the other hand, the blurb grabbed me about a young woman that wants to find her mother who she previously thought had died.
What seems to be set up to be an exciting adventure learning why mom left, and possibly reconnecting, the main character, Brooke, is hooking/breaking up with a guy that shouldn't even get a female. Even in the process of getting to know her mom, she takes every opportunity to jump to conclusions to be angry. I guess my way would have solved Brookes problems within minutes and there wouldn't be a book but a short story.
I was lucky to get to read this book from Netgalley. I'd love to see what others think of this novel. It is different.
This book was a friggen trainwreck. Brooke finds out that her mother, who she thought was dead, is very much alive and living nearby with a new family. She sets off to confront her and while it was very entertaining and sucked me in from the beginning, as it went on I found myself literally sneering at Brooke’s actions and her stubborn fiance, and the story because SUCH a soap opera and I felt that everything that took place was incredibly far fetched and ridiculous.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The book held my interest throughout. I was in suspense as to what was going to happen next. This is a must read!
Characters were well developed. The plot was intriguing. Loved the descriptiveness of the book. I would like to read more from this author
Thank you NetGalley for providing a fee copy of this book.
It has been a long time where I read a book in less than a day, but I could not put this book down!
Brooke is devastated when she finds out that her mother is not dead like she has believed since she was seven years old, so she finds her and goes in search for some answers...but the answers she finds might not be what she is looking for.
This book was fast-paced, entertaining and heartbreaking. Highly recommend!!
I read this on a whim and it definitely held my attention through unexpected twists and turns. Recently engaged, Brooke Green’s reality flips upside down on the day of her father’s funeral. She learns painful facts that send her on a gripping search. Her father thought he knew best by keeping secrets. Even though she knows God’s way to live life, she heads in the wrong direction desperate to find truth and she may lose everything doing it. How far would you go seeking to unravel lies you believed your whole life? You’ll need to read Seeking Sarah to discover Brooke’s revelations, actions and reactions.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and was under no obligation to post anything but my honest review which I have done.
REVENGE taken seriously.
The book started out rather interestingly enough but quickly slid and I struggle with trying to finish it.

I was asked by the author or publisher to give an honest review of this book.
I give this one 3 tiaras:
This book was okay to me, I personally really didn’t like the revenge aspect all of the way through and the lying and sleeping with the step-dad, etc.
Do I understand the aspect of wanting revenge, yes, but most of us don’t act on those instincts. I feel like this book does give you the “moral of the story” that everything will end badly and Kharma will always come around, etc.; however, I feel that there are better ways to make that statement then with a narcissistic, sociopathic, scheming person that uses her brother to get even with her mother.
I really do love to re-read most books but I will not be rereading this book. To those, who, do like this book, I am really happy that you do and I do not discourage from reading it. It just wasn’t for me.
After reading the description, I thought I would love this book. It sounded right up my alley. After being in a HUGE reading rut (only reading 5 books in 2017 and my last finish being in June) I decided to pick this up. On a positive note, the book was fast paced and captivating. I started around 7 this morning and was finished before 4 this afternoon, something that rarely happens for me. However, the book was sort of just...blah. The characters all seemed so immature and I felt like I was reading something straight out of junior high or high school. There was SO MUCH DRAMA and the characters actions were so childish. I feel like the whole story just left something to be desired. There were a few reviews of other books at the front that sounded promising, but after reading Seeking Sarah, I'm not sure if I want to take the time to check out more from this author.
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to review an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review!!
This is the story where the desperate need to fulfil a fantasy leads to chaos and upheaval of the entire family. The main character, Brooke who was told that her mother was dead, suddenly after 25 years finds out that she is alive and happy with her new family. This starts the story of Brooke's revenge...
What started as a journey to find a loving mother turned into a journey of revenge at any cost including self destruction.
The author, ReShonda has written this book with a no nonsense to the point approach, she does not make her characters appear who they are not. There is pain all around and I understood the author's point of view as to how pain can make us go crazy and land us in a whole world of trouble. It is a viscous cycle.
This is a book which combines darker truth with drama. A good read!
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased opinion.
Brooke was raised by her father after her mother died when she was seven. Twenty-five years later, Brooke's dad dies, and her grandmother reveals that her mom didn't actually die; she had walked out on the family. When Brooke learns that her mom is living in Atlanta, she decides to go to Atlanta to see her mother, over her fiancé's objections. In Atlanta, Brooke discovers her mom is living a seemingly perfect life – including a replacement husband and daughter – and is at a loss with how to confront her mother.
For me, the story started out good but went downhill. I just wanted to (figuratively) smack some sense into the characters. I know that people don't always act rationally when they are emotional, but Brooke is 32 and had several weeks to alter her actions. Instead, she just kept digging herself a bigger hole.
This is a quick read for people who enjoy lots of DRAMA!
Everyone has a story and I loved that I could relate to this. The pain that she felt was so real and raw and I found myself feeling her pain along the way. I believe that authors who bring in the audience have a great skill. This is an amazing read and has a great ending. I also enjoyed the audio version of this as well.
Fantastic book. Laughed, cried and even ugly cried at times! I would highly recommend.
A very good plot. A lot of family drama and a lot of secrets. Very twisted!!!.
Brooke Hayes, is a woman who has a high powered career and a fiance who loves her deeply. The thing that she doesn't have is a mother. After the death of her father, she finds out that rather than dying, as she had been told at the age of 7, her mother had walked out on Brooke and her father, never to return. Brooke gets angry and hires a PI to find her mom. Rather than speak to her mother like a normal person would, she stalks her and her new family, gets cozy with her half brother, sleeps with her mother's new husband, and has a confrontation with her mother. When the half brother Alex, who is "emotionally fragile" find out all of this and goes nuts, he attacks her and holds her hostage, the police shoot and kill him, her mother and the husband divorce and somehow her mother wants to have a relationship with her? And it turns out she's pregnant by her ex fiance who has moved on with one of her friends because Brooke went so far overboard. Yeah...that's just way too ridiculous. Don't waste your time.
