This book was not only cute but had a whole lot of naughty. The Rancher and the City Girl is an “opposites” attract. Two unlikely people with a whole lot of sexual attraction, add in a cute little girl, and strong-willed grandma then you have the making of a wonderful novel. Charlie is a city girl through and through but a call from her grandmother in need of help after a surgery has her on her first trip to Wyoming. Tripp is a single father who runs his own ranch with his friends. Tripp will do anything to protect his little girl from anything that could hurt her so he tries to keep her away from the sexy new neighbor. Charlie has a lot to learn about farming life and when she works at something she gives something her all. Tripp and Charlie have an undeniable attraction that they try to keep private. As time progresses Charlie not only falls for the sexy cowboy but his adorable daughter Gracie. After failing to keep his daughter apart from Charlie the interaction between them is so adorable. I would easily give this novel 5 stars.

I enjoyed reading this book. Joya Ryan is one of my favorite authors! I wasn't sure how I would feel about the heroine, but I liked her and these two had natural chemistry.

The Rancher and the City Girl it is a great story in which two different world collapses. It is a really good written story with two strong characters. Charlie and Tripp are great they both think that they will never meet again but faith has its way and they become a neighbor. Attraction is still very strong between them but Reed was left behind once and he is scared that will happen again. After a few days of pure bliss, fear drives him in chasing Charlie away. I was glad that he man up and went looking for her. I really enjoyed reading the book. It was funny and hot and enjoyable to read.

An amazing read!!!!

Out of all the people in the world, this author brings together not only two different people but two people who want nothing to do with relationships. Tripp because he is a single father, raising his daughter with the help of his friends and doesn't want his daughter to become attached to yet another woman who won't be there for her. Charlotte because she wants nothing to do with this country life and has not confidence in herself. The two meet, have an incredible one night stand and then go their separate ways...

Or so they think...

Loved how the characters kept coming back together; that they couldn't stay apart no matter how hard they tried. I enjoyed reading Tripp's battle on what he wants versus what was best for his daughter and then reading how every one of those walls eventually came down.

This was a great big city woman/small town man romance. Throw in the sexy single dad rancher element and it was just love. Can't wait to read the next installments in this series!!

It’s been quite awhile since I read a Joya Ryan book and I picked one heck of a book to start back with. Of course, the minute I saw this small town, country, opposites attract book, I knew I had to have it. I pretty much didn’t even need to read the blurb to know it was for me. Once I did read the blurb and realized that Tripp was a single dad to boot, I was even more all over it. I would’ve read this one in one sitting if it wasn’t for that pesky thing called work, but I really couldn’t stop thinking about it until I finished it.

Tripp and Charlotte were both great characters. Tripp was a little on the grumpy, closed off side and I do love that in my heroes. It’s so much fun to watch them fall and begin to open up. He was such a good father and I loved the scenes with him and his daughter, Gracie. Later, it became even better once Charlotte was introduced into the equation. (Plus I can’t forget Tripp’s brothers. I can’t wait for their stories!)

This was a fun read with several feels along the way. I loved the chemistry between Tripp and Charlotte from the very start. Opposites attracted in the best possible way with these two! Their passion was off the charts from their first meeting and only got better as time went on. It was great to follow along with Tripp and Charlotte as they got to know each other and find something real.

The Rancher and the City Girl was a great start to a new series I’m already obsessed with. I can’t wait for the next book!

FAVORITE QUOTES

She wasn’t successful enough—yet—to be “accomplished,” and wasn’t creative enough to be “small-business hipster woman.” She was also too blunt to be ladylike, and too prudish to be a vixen.

“You wear the hat, you better be prepared to wear the man?”

Was this how cowboys got their ladies in Wyoming? Lay them out on their truck behind a historic building and eat them for dinner? If so, she could get on board with how things were done around these parts.

There was a hell of a lot of magic floating around his ranch, and it was all thanks to a city girl.

I have chosen not to finish this title. I felt like I had read this exact book before and the characters never felt real to me. Usually, books with a single father are favorites of mine, but in this case, I just wasn't able to connect with him.

As always, I appreciate the opportunity to read and review this title.

This story is excellent, great characters (hope for more of the uncles) and a love that difference can't shadow. Charlotte and Tripp are each other soul mates and could be a great family.

I recommend this reading.

Great story to devour over a weekend. One of my favorite troupes is the cowboy/rancher, so this was a perfect read for me.

Tripp Montgomery and his two best friend are raising his daughter and taking care of his ranch. He leads a very structured life and protects his daughter as best he can. When he sees Charlotte Gram, someone obviously not from around there, he suddenly remembers he’s also a man. Even though she knows she’s there for her grandmother while she recovers from surgery, Charlotte is still trying to figure out what she’s doing in Cheyenne, Wyoming. When a handsome cowboy helps her with her faulty rental car, she learns a whole new appreciation for cowboys.
This was a cute and quick story. I loved all of the interactions between Tripp and Charlotte. The supporting characters were also well written. Tripp’s daughter was adorable and I really hope to read HEA books for his best friends. Very sweet read. I highly recommend.

The Rancher and the City Girl is a sweet single dad romance read by Joya Ryan. This is Tripp and Charlotte's story. Tripp is a divorced man who stays at his ranch with his daughter Gracie and two friends. Tripp doesn't do relationships, and he doesn't want to expose his daughter to someone who isn't willing to stick around . Trip’s thoughts are - If Gracie's own mom could so easily walk away what’s to keep a perfect stranger from doing the same then?
Charlotte is a city girl heading to the country to help her grandma's farm while she recovers from ankle surgery. She met Trip on her way back to visit her grandma when her car got her stranded. He helps her with her car and gets her to go on a date. One thing leads to another and they have a one night stand. They never thought they would run into each other again. But they did and still kept running into each other again. They then find out they are going to be neighbors for several weeks.
You feel for Charlotte because she is a city girl in the country and she has no clue what she is doing but she does her best and you will root for her. You see her fall in love with Trip’s little girl and how her heart falls for Trip while his heart is harder to crack. Trip really gave me a lot of grief with his hard headedness. Will they or wont they get that HEA? There are a great cast of secondary characters and I did like this story for it was sweet and sassy. I loved the cowboy feel to it. The ending was light , did wish it had more of a finished feel to it but overall was nice.

‘Tripp was treading dangerous water with his daughter’s heart. And he’d never gamble with that.’

We’ve just read another new to us Author and we loved every single minute of The Rancher and the City Girl by Joya Ryan. As always we pick our next read on what kind of reading mood we’re in and this time it was wanting a sweet, fun and sexy standalone without too much drama, and that is exactly what we got. It was fabulous. So well written, so addictive and so swoon worthy! It was such a feel good read! A sexy single dad Cowboy and a sweet and sassy city girl suddenly finding herself deep in country life. We are very excited about this series of standalones!

“I don’t want to bring stress to your situation.”

“Oh, you’re far past that, darlin’. You stress me out exceptionally on a daily basis.”

We fell head over heels in love with Tripp, the luscious cowboy and fantastic dad, friend and rancher; he has all the qualities that make us swoon. Raising his daughter, Gracie on his own with the help of his two best mates he’s wary of letting women in, not wanting his daughter to be hurt again nor his heart broken. So when he meets Charlotte, who looks like a fish out of water in their town, he knows it’s got to be a one night deal only. It just can’t be anything more.

‘Was this how cowboys got their ladies in Wyoming? Lay them out in their truck behind a historic building and eat them for dinner? If so, she could get on board with how things were done around these parts.’

Charlotte has come from the big city to help her injured Grammy. She’s got no clue what’s involved in running a farm but Grammy being the only family she’s got and loves she doesn’t want to be anywhere else until she’s no longer needed. Meeting a sexy cowboy was not part of her plans but she cannot say no to one night of passion with the sexy Stetson wearing stranger. ‘Charlie’ was so adorably clueless but not afraid to muck in. She cut a lonely figure, sweet and likeable, we were rooting for a budding gorgeous romance with her cowboy with scorching heat thrown in!

“Daddy gets grouchy when he’s hungry,” Gracie said to Charlotte.
‘She looked the man over, all six-plus feet of sexy, looking at her like she might be his last meal and he’d die happier for it. “I bet he does,” she whispered.

This story was such a great read and we highly recommend it for readers wanting a couple of hours of pure romance with steamy passion. We absolutely loved it to the point of wanting more not only story but time with the characters too. We have to mention Bo and Cash who live with Tripp, too. They had us in stitches and we look forward to their stories!

“Well, when you decide to be happy all the time, I’ll be here to celebrate with you,” Grammy said.

This book was very entertaining! This sweet romance is about is Tripp and Charlotte's story.

Tripp is a single dad and his 6 years old daughter is that matters to him. He doesn't want to meet any woman because he doesn't want his girl to suffer another deception.
Charlotte is a city girl who comes to help her grandmother because she needs to rest to recover from a surgery.

The attraction between them is awesome. The book is entertaining, easy to read and very sweet!

I really enjoyed it!! And now I hope I will read about Tripp's two friends!

This is book one in Tempting the Rancher series and it features rancher, Tripp Montgomery and city girl, Charlotte Gram. This is a fun, sizzling romance with a sexy cowboy and his adorable daughter. I know this is a romance but I think the relationship between Charlotte and Tripp's daughter Gracie stole the show.

This book has a great story line that never got boring and a fabulous cast of characters. I can't wait until book 2 comes out.

Such a sweet, sexy, smoldering romance featuring one super gorgeous rancher and a city girl! I ADORED the way this sexy rancher is also a father. And this city girl has grit, sass, spirit, and the chemistry pops and fizz beautifully! The sex is smoldering and the romance is just an absolute delight! This story was fun, sweet, and oh so sexy. A great book all around.

Fun read! I really enjoyed the chemistry and the banter between Reed and Charlotte. An entertaining read - and I am always a sucker for a good single dad story. Even though it was a shorter story I didn't feel that that much was missing. Entertaining secondary characters too.

Would love to see stories for Reed's buddies as well...!

Totally recommend!

I loved this one!! I gobbled it up in one day because I just couldn't put it down. I loved all the main cast of characters. How could anybody not swoon over hunky single father rancher Tripp. Just the way he is with his daughter will make anyone want to snap him up. He does have a grumpy disposition though, but he has his reasons. Having Charlotte in town to take of her grandma throws Tripp off his game, because there is just something about that city girl that gets Tripp's motor running. My heart melted with the moments between Charlotte and little Gracie. Gracie is too adorable with a kind heart. Things get quite steamy between Charlotte and Tripp, but can Tripp let down his protective walls enough in order to let Charlotte in? Or is he too closed off at the possibility of more? The epilogue was the perfect touch to end this one in my opinion. It left me with a happy heart and a smile on my face. (less)

This was a cute story. I liked Charlotte, Charlie as her grandmother called her. She needed to work on her insecurities, however you could not blame her, everyone she ever loved had abandoned her, besides her grandmother. Charlie and Tripp meet on a whim, when her rented car breaks down on her, and it was instant attraction,. They both decide to give in to a one night stand since they both have circumstances that will not allow them to be able to deal with more. But as you and I know, things change. I loved Gracie, and her Gram, Bo was cute too. Now, the others annoyed me, for being a small town they were not very nice. Now I understand that Trip did not want Gracie to get attached to Charlie, because of what he had previously went thru, but he went about it wrong, and I am happy Charlie spoke up about, she wins in my book. enjoy, I sure did. I am hoping we read about Bo.
