Life is hard and with this book, the author Tim Tebow will show you ways to live a life according to Christ .
Tim Tebow will guide you through thirty-six weeks of lessons, each based on a key Scripture, to discover who you are—by learning more about who you belong to! You’ll have the opportunity to write down your thoughts, feelings, and ideas on topics such as:
• Building godly character
• Maintaining great relationships
• Standing out from the crowd
• Doing things that matter in the big picture
I not a homeschooler or a teen, but I really enjoyed this book and the lessons it teaches. It would be great to use with a teen for writing lessons during schooling or just as conversation starters around the kitchen table. I highly recommend this book for teens, parents of teens, or even those who work with kids of any age.
This book is focused toward pre-teens and teenagers who are faced with figuring out who they are and whose they are and the life choices they have to make. I found though, that even as an adult, there were many gems of wisdom. It is divided into 4 parts with about 8 to 10 chapters in each part. The chapters are short, Each chapter is designed for one week. The chapter opens with a Bible scripture that relates to whatever topic Tebow is focusing on. At the end of the chapter, is a section called OnYour Own where there are questions for journal your own thoughts. The topics are very well connected to concerns and choices that any teenager would meet with Biblical Based suggestions and solutions.
I feel that any pre-teen or teen Christian would definitely get a great deal out of this book.
** I received this book from Waterbrook through Netgalley. All opinions are my own, and I was not compensated for this review.
During my time as a youth director I used Tim Tebow’s bible study materials. They were decent videos that talked about important topics. This book follows along in that same vein. It is a book that has some stories about life and a time to think and reflect on a few important question. Topics of identity, trust, and faith come to the forefront. All truths, that regardless of age or schooling, matter to life
The title still confuses me. The tag line of “A Home Schooler’s Interactive Guide to Discovering Your True Identity” makes it seem that a person who is/was homeschooled is writing (which is true) but the title doesn’t say this book is for homeschoolers. You find that out as you read the introduction, but after the introduction and one or two chapters in the stories stop being directed to homeschoolers and becomes a book any person can use. If you’re looking for a new devotional I encourage you to look into this book.
This book is well design for homeschool with 36 well written devotions and questions to think about. My teenagers love it and the material connects well with them especially those related to sports. The questions are relevant to teenagers and I recommend any homeschool students to it or any parents who just like to have a weekly devotional time with their child.
As a homeschool parent, I’m always looking for books that my kids can read that will help them and when I seen Tim Tebow had a new book coming out that was for homeschoolers, I knew I had to get it. I have read Shaken by Tim and loved it. When I was able to review Know Who You Are. Live Like It Matters. I knew this was going to be a great book that not only would I enjoy but my girls as well.
In this book, Tim shares the wisdom he had learned from what God says in His Word. Tim was homeschooled as well and I knew this would be something that me and my family could benefit from. Its thirty-six weeks of lessons, each one is based on a key scripture, to help you discover who you are by learning whose you are. You are able to write down your thoughts, feelings and ideas on topics such as:
Building Godly Character, Maintaining Great Relationships, Standing Out From The Crowd, and Doing Things That Matter In The Big Picture.
Overall, this is great book that I recommend to all homeschooling parents. It can be used as a devotional, for your Bible lesson, or even for writing.
I received a copy of this book for free, a favorable review was not required. All opinions expressed are my own.
Great book for young adults and teens for encouragement on who you are and the paths you should take.
Tebow Encourages You To Live A Life That Matters
Tim Tebow is a true inspiration in how he lives his life and I have read a few of his other books. The content of this book is very similar to other Tebow books but this one is written for home schooled kids to understand their true identity and worth. There are 36 short chapters, each with an interactive lesson at the end that allows kids to stop and reflect on each lesson and apply the learning to their lives.
I mistakenly got this book without noticing it was for homeschooled students. As soon as I saw that it was a Tim Tebow book, I knew it would be great and filled with good insights and values. My older sons really respect him and enjoy reading his books so I thought that I would pass it along to them after reading it.
Although a book written for home school students is not relevant to me, I am not marking down my rating because of this. There is a lot of similar content to other books but it should really appeal to kids who are homeschooled because it speaks more directly to them. Tim Tebow does so much to encourage good values and principles in the lives of our youth. He is a wonderful role model and I would recommend this book to someone who might have homeschooled kids.

A parent, teacher and librarian I really enjoyed this inspiring instructional resource. In my personal life I homeschool my own children and I found the lessons Tebow created encouraging and appealing to today's modern youth. I loved the structure, how it focused of Christianity and started with a Key Verse and the rest of the lesson was built around that verse. Tebow does an excellent job engaging children to find their own voice and personal reflections.
