i fell in love with the author after her hot in chicago series and was eagerly anticipating this book. it fell short for me though. i absolutely loved remy but i didnt really like harper. she was too much of a shrew. i thought the trope of a distant father figure leaving an inheritance to his random children who don't get along was outdated but im glad they seemed to get along sooner rather than later. this book just didn't have the charm or banter between the romantic leads that i was expecting but the supporting characters were great. hopefully the next book will improve

4 Stars- Kate Meader has a proven track record. She writes excellent books. The characters are clear and the plot solid. We have a father who from the grave insults the oldest daughter by not believing in her ability to run the Hockey team on her own. Instead he hangs all sorts of conditions around her neck... making it almost impossible to hold on to the team.

Her only hope is an almost over the hill player... a man who has decided this is his year to get to the Stanley cup... something that has alluded him his whole career. These two scrap, bicker and banter... and finally come to an agreement.
We get to enjoy all of this and also get sneak peeks of possible leads for upcoming books for this new series.

It was an okay novel. Did not see anything spectacular about it. Was disappointed to see that it was in third person POV, not sure how I felt about that. If it was in first person I would have connected with the novel and characters a lot more. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review.

I really don't know how she does it. Kate has this way with her writing that draws me in and doesn't let go. I live near Chicago and I love that she has most of her stories taking place there. It feels a bit like home while reading.

"When your happiness was someone else's happiness, then that was love."

Remy and Harper had so much chemistry and that spark you love to find while reading. This book melted my heart and gave me those flutters that you feel deep inside. From the witty dialogue to the page turner of a story line, this book was everything. I loved that we got a bit more of the sisters that are helping her take over the team. I am so excited for the next book in this series. Kate has another hit series on her hands here and I couldn't be more thrilled for her. This book will be one of my favorite reads of the year.

"What if it was Harper or nothing at all? God Hates a coward, Remy. He needed to get off the fence and make a call."

I loved Kate Meader's Hot in Chicago series. She has the ability to write books that would make your heart swell with love. Her heroes are all hot and handsome and her heroines are always gorgeous and f sassy. Irresistible You is another winning book in a new sports series that would blow the readers minds.

You had me at hockey!

This is my first Kate Meader read, however it won't be my last.

Now, I am a real sucker for a hockey hottie (that's what she said!) so it was a no brainer to read Irresistible You. Once I picked it up, what it really was was irresistible to me!

Once I started, I couldn't stop reading Harper and Remy's story. Their spark and banter drew me in, their family and friends kept things rolling, and I just needed to know more.

I love the premise of Harper and her sisters now owning a hockey team *singing sisters are doing it for themselves

The story flowed well, there is great character development, lots of emotion - and now I am impatiently waiting for the next book!

Can't wait to see where the story takes us.

A slow start, but a gorgeously romantic powerhouse finish. Harper, having inherited with her two sisters the Chicago Rebels hockey team is convinced that sex and hockey do not mix. I admit that I found the private Harper a difficult character to understand much less like. But, having met Remy, the Cajun French-speaking, family-loving, dumb gift-giving, and jambalaya-cooking hockey star, I am so glad that I stayed to the sweet end.

Kate Meader does family dynamics beautifully. Some of the scenes with Harper and her estranged sisters Violet and Isobel were as dramatic or emotional as those between Harper and Remy.
I wanted the sisters to bond just as much as I wanted a HEA for Harper and Remy. Also, I enjoyed that the guys on Remy's team are becoming a family unit as well. The guys arguing over the "most lethal fruit" had me laughing out loud, while grumpy Bren's attempts to talk honestly with Remy made me hope that the gruff Scot is sequel bait.

Harper was a difficult character to understand or enjoy. That said, I'm looking forward to the future of the Chicago Rebels - those on the ice and off. The preview for the next Chicago Rebels teasing about jockish Isobel and Russian manwhore hockey star Vadim was scorching. Sign me up, please.

4.5 very intrigued stars

4 1/2 Stars! Harper Chase and her 2 half-sisters inherit the Rebels hockey team from their father. But the only way they'll get to keep this 2nd last place team, is if they make the playoffs. Harper has lived and breathed "hockey" since she was a little girl, trying to get her father's attention, while he was already on to his 2nd family ... with his 2nd little girl. In order to try and take this failing team into the playoffs, she signs on the well-known Cajun hockey player "Remy" to get the team moving. But Remi doesn't want to play for a failing team … it's his last year in the NHL and he wants his name on the coveted Stanley Cup. So he makes a deal with Harper that if he can get the team into a semi-playoff state by trade deadline, she will trade him to a team that has a chance at winning the Cup. But neither one of them counted on the sparks that would fly between them and how great they would be together.

This is a heartwarming story that will make you laugh, cry and everything in between. And did I mention the steamy scenes ... well, let me tell you, Ms Meader sure knows how to write steam! A great beginning to a new series. I can't wait for the other sister's stories.

I received an ARC copy courtesy of Gallery Threshold Pocketbooks through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

Irresistible You is a fun, sexy, hot hockey read. Three estranged sisters take over the Chicago Rebels and have one year to prove that they can be successful., that means some changes in the players.... enter Remy DuPre. Remy is brought to the team to help unite them and lead them to the playoffs. The Cajun hockey player is hot and cocky, a dangerous combination especially when dealing with Harper. What a great start to new series. I can't wait to see what happens next!

WOW! Looking for some hot hockey players? Well you have just found them! I am looking to read the other series by this author. This book is filled with strong women and strong men. The chemistry between these characters are off the charts and I can not wait to get my hands on the other stories to come of this group of men & women!

This was such a great book! Well written with a romance that Meader actually takes the time develop on the page, this is the type of book I am always hoping to find when I turn the cover of a new read. Remy and Harper are great characters and I felt their connection. I am really excited about the rest of the book in the series as well.

In Irresistible You, Kate Meader takes on the world of hockey. In standard Meader style, she has included a twist, the team owners are women. In a final act of defiance, Harper Chase’s father leaves the Chicago Rebels to her, and her two half-sisters. He never believed she was up to the challenge of running a pro-team. Though Chase viewed this as punishment for Harper, he actually did the best thing for her ever – he gave her a family. Don’t get me wrong, the sisters have a rocky road and they are only getting started. This relationship is really at the core of this series and I look forward to seeing it play out. I was originally in this for the hot hockey players, but I stayed for the great dynamics and watching a trio of powerful women take on the establishment.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

"Women threw themselves at hockey players, even older past-their-prime jokers like him."

Irresistible You was my first book by author Kate Meader. That sexy cover and intriguing synopsis caught my attention and I had to give it a try. The verdict is that I loved it! I will most definitely be back for more.

Harper has been trying to win a place in her father's heart her whole life. First she wanted his affection, and later she strives for his approval. Her biggest mistake was not being born a man. Nevertheless, she's determined to prove that she has what it takes to turn their hockey team around and bring them into the competition for the Stanley Cup. Her biggest obstacle is that she needs someone to be on her side. Someone the team would respect, someone able to lead the team and build the morale. She's only doing her job when she trades for Remy to be that team player. Too bad he's not happy about her decision. He's being a jerk, refusing to give it his best to prove a point. To prove to her that she needs him. She doesn't want to need him... but she does...

Remy is a sexy Cajun with enough charm to have not only the women lined up, but the men too! And it's not just his charm, it's his cooking that draws a crowd. He gives credit to old family recipes, especially his mawmaw's. He might travel light, but his stockpot is a necessity. Unfortunately, he's having to pack it up against his will. He's been playing on his current team for five years and he was positive that he was almost there. The Stanley Cup was within his reach when the new owner for the Chicago Rebels yanked it away. He might not have a choice, but he doesn't have to like it, and he doesn't have to like her. But he does...

Ladies, get ready for your heart to melt and your panties to incinerate. Get ready to laugh and sigh. And then join me as we wait for the next amazing book in the Chicago Rebels series. The line forms here...

I really enjoyed this book. Harper's father died and she has one shot to lead the team he owned to a win or lose it. Remy has one more season of hockey in him then he wants to retire, settle down, and have a family. Harper has a lot to prove and having an affair with one of her players would be unprofessional. However, she can't help but be attracted to Remy with his laid back Cajun ways, red hot body, and his delicious cooking. Great sports romance!

Oh my, this book is delicious. I loved Remy and Harper. They have struggles and the journey to the end is filled with hope and some tears. Ms. Meader knows how to draw you in with her characters and the support from their family and friends. Just have to say, Remy, who does not want him in your life?!?!?! Yes, I can tell I am now addicted to these lovely men of hockey.

A great hockey romance. Harper Chase is part owner of the Chicago Rebels and she falls in love with one of her newest players, Remy DuPre. It was a great love story and I'm really curious how the rest of their season goes and if they make the championships. Both Harper and Remy were strong characters and it was a fun journey watching them grow. I am also looking forward to reading Isobel's story next, along with Vadim Petrov. They have a history and I can't wait to read all about it!

You probably know by now that I'm a sucker for a hockey romance. Hockey players are the hottest romance heroes. They ooze self-confidence and have some extremely sexy bodies. Plus, they usually have some super sweet emotions hiding deep down. Since I love them so much, I'm always excited to find a new series to swoon over. I've definitely found one of those in the Chicago Rebels.

Irresistible You is a hockey romance featuring a female team owner and her reluctant star player. When Harper Chase inherits her father's professional hockey team, she should be happy. It's been her dream forever. Instead she's frustrated and overwhelmed. The team should have been Harper's free and clear. Instead she's stuck sharing ownership with her two estranged half-sisters and fighting to accomplish an almost unheard of task her father set up in order to keep her team. Harper's not going down without a fight, and she's acquired the player she knows will lead her team to victory.

Remy DuPre has one last season in him. It's finally his turn to win the Stanley Cup and he's not letting being traded to Chicago ruin his plans. He'll put in his time with his new team if it means being traded to a better team later.

Remy and Harper start as adversaries, but soon find themselves enjoying their bickering. There's an attraction beneath their feud, and when they act on their desires everything changes. What they both thought they wanted may not really be what they need.

Irresistible You started out a little slow for me. There was so much background to cover behind the characters' initial feelings that I didn't immediately connect with them. It took me a few chapters to begin to like both Harper and Remy. Once I learned the history behind their intentions, I fell in love with their story. I loved them both -- Harper with her determination and insecurities and Remy with his cocky exterior and sweet interior. They were so cute together. Well, cute and super sexy. Those two had chemistry!

The history behind Harper's family, her father's will and her relationship with her sisters really intrigued me. I wanted to know more about it all. I felt like this book only brushed the surface. I know there's at least two more books to come, so I'm sure I'll get the story.

Irresistible You had a little bit of everything going for it. The writing was great, the characters were interesting, and the sexy times were super sexy. I have a feeling the series is going to get better and better as it goes on. I'm excited to read what's next. If you like hockey romances, this is one I would recommend.

Kate Meader and hockey sounded like such a great combination, so there was zero chance that I would miss out on Irresistible You. It was exactly the kind of book I wanted! It's fun, flirty, sexy, without a lot of drama or angst. I especially loved the premise of Irresistible You with Harper and half-sisters inheriting their father's crumbling hockey team.

It's not easy being a woman in a field dominated by men, and it's especially worse when it's a job that's constantly scrutinized in the media. Harper was a champ though, and she took it all in with her head held high. I loved how passionate she was about turning around the team, and how hardworking she was. She stumbled quite a bit along the way, but she never lost her motivation, which immediately made me like her. I also liked that there was a strong focus on the siblings relationship here. They all have different moms, and have never had a strong relationship, but having to manage the team brings them closer. I loved seeing their relationship blossom, and become stronger along the way.

I also really enjoyed Remy's character, though I'll admit to side-eyeing him a bit in the beginning. He completely swept me off my feet though. He had that Cajun charm going on for him, and together with the fact that he was a total goner for his family, I just could not resist him. Remy and Harper formed an unlikely couple, because they aren't each other's types (or at least that's what they think), but they fit well together. In the midst of all the media limelight, Remy provides solace and fun times to Harper. Along the way, of course their flings-only relationship develops into more. I thought the progression of the romance was really sweet, with a hell of a lot of smoking hot chemistry, as I've come to expect from Kate Meader.

Though I loved Remy and Harper, I have to say, there were times when I kept getting distracted by the promise of the other couples to come in the series (I presume!). I'm especially excited for Violet's book, because umm hot Scot alert! Isobel is next, and she's getting a second chance with a Russian who has a reputation of being great in the sack, but who did not quite bring her the oomph she needed when they fell into bed as horny teens. I'm so in! ;)

Irresistible You was the perfect epitome of a Kate Meader book. If you're a romance lover, no doubt this book will be one you enjoy!

4.5 great start to a new series stars. I enjoyed this book and this couple more than I thought even thought I would. I have read this author before and I enjoyed her Hot in Chicago firefighter series very much but I wasn't sure about the premise of this one (the female owner / player). But the star of the first few books of this series is definitely going to be the 3 sisters and their relationships and personalities, which shouldn't surprise given the great family and relationships I've seen this author write before. Don't get me wrong, the hockey is good and the team and the guys are great. And I enjoyed Remy a ton - very funny and sweet (eventually) and I liked the way he really persued Harper. But I cannot wait for more of the sisters. Well done and I highly recommend this book and I will definitely be purchasing the future books in this series.
