Maybe This Christmas by Jennifer Snow was a friends-to-lovers slow burn romance. It was sweet with a bit of angst thrown in. I loved the characters and the story!

Asher Westmore is so close to achieving a career milestone as an NHL star. But he has a secret. A secret that ends up sidelining him for months when his own brother injures him on the ice. Now he needs to heal, even if it will drive him crazy being home. But there is one good thing about being home. His longtime friend Emma who is also a physical therapist and can help him heal.

Emma Callaway has been safe from Asher while he was away building his career. Now he is home and needs her help. But this man has always affected her. Will she be able to hide her feelings from him? Emma was sweet, caring and strong. She had her own challenges to deal with, but she was strong and ready for what was thrown at her. Even as she struggled with the choices in front her.

Emma and Asher have been friends for a long time. They share a history together. Through the years, they became more than just friends, but kept it light and casual. Their careers have always been important and often kept them apart. But recently, things have changed for Emma. But Asher is still following his dream and is only home for a short time. Could he feel the same way about her?

Ash and Emma feel the heat between them. Ash wants Emma but also knows hockey is a huge part of his life. Could he give Emma what she wants and needs? Ash struggled with what was important. Sometimes what you have in front of you is not always clear. Will they be able to find their way together?

Maybe This Christmas was a friends-to-lovers romance that was sexy, sweet and fun to read. It was a slow burn romance that pulls your right in! This was the perfect read to get us ready for the holidays!

Emma and Asher have been friends with benefits for many years. Emma is tired of that and wants to move their relationship to the next level. Asher is determined things should remain exactly the way they have been and Emma should go back to snow boarding. Emma's love showed through the entire story. She cared for her family, Asher and her patients. It truly broke my heart at times how Asher's inner dialogue wasn't as loving as I would have liked. I felt he was a bit selfish though I enjoyed their give and take it was more one sided and not just with Emma towards his family as well. The humor with the feud between their parents was entertaining to say the least. Emma's sister drove me a bit nuts as well, determined to keep Emma and Asher apart.
Although Maybe this Christmas isn't my favorite Jennifer Snow story it's definitely worth the read if you enjoy a small town romance where friends with benefits find their happy ending I recommend checking out Maybe this Christmas.

Maybe This Christmas by Jennifer Snow is an absolutely incredible read!

Emma and Asher are two characters beautifully written with such care and intricate detail. I absolutely loved seeing them evolve from the very beginning all the way up to the end. Through in the fact that Asher is involved in the NHL, and I have an unputdownable novel!

I can't wait to read more from Jennifer in the future!!

4.5/5 Stars!

Asher Westmore is completely focused on hockey. He plays professionally for the Devils and though he injured his ACL he keeps playing. His brother Ben, who also plays professionally for a rival team, received an award for playing 1000 games. Asher is at game 999 and he’s not about to sit out because of an injury. He wants the same award his brother received. He's very competitive with Ben. Instead he plays through the pain and self-medicates. During his 999th game he’s hit and goes down. He is taken into surgery for the ACL and is told that recovery is 8-10 weeks. He’s bound and determined to play his next game which is 6 weeks away. He can only do that if he gets help from his best friend, Emma.

Emma was once as focused on her career as a snowboarder as Asher is on hockey. Unfortunately a stupid mistake on her part and a severe injury changed all of that. She is now a physical therapist and is focused on getting her doctorate. Emma loves Asher than more than a friend and when they started making it friends with benefits, she was thrilled. Asher, however, keeps pushing her to get back onto the snowboarding circuit and she just isn’t going there again. Emma wants to be with Asher forever but Asher has no intention of taking his focus off of hockey for one minute – even for a woman that he thinks he might be falling in love with.

This was a cute story that I enjoyed reading. I liked Emma a lot and admired her determination to go as far as she could in her chosen field of physical therapy. Asher…I never truly liked him until the end of the book.

Emma and Asher had been best friends for years but had been sleeping together for the last couple of years. Even though they were sleeping together I found it very strange that these supposed “best friends” couldn’t talk to each other. Emma hadn’t told Asher about her acceptance into the doctorate program in Florida (they lived in Colorado) and Asher kept his mouth shut about his feelings on Emma giving up snowboarding for good. He never voiced to her his thoughts that he wouldn’t settle down until after his hockey career was done, which wasn’t slowing down at all (except for his injury of course). I guess I felt if they had been such good friends they could have talked to each other. There was a decided lack of communication between them and that started to grate on my nerves.

Asher was just so bull-headed that he annoyed me for much of the book. He was very self-centered and it was hard to like him. When he finally started pulling his head out of his ass he was a much better person.

I have to say that they were cute together when they were just being together and not worrying about other things in life. It was easy and comfortable but still exciting and sexy. I liked the way Snow made their time together special in a lot of ways.

Overall it was enjoyable and a sweet Christmas story.

This was the first book I'd read from this book and feel it is a good stand-alone book.

Emma is in love with her best friend, Asher. Asher is an NHL hockey star and having him jetting all over the US keeps her heart from completely breaking. Once he gets injured though he is back in his hometown recovering, and he wants her to help him recover. Emma is afraid to get too close but as physical therapist wants to help him get back on the ice.

A cute friends to lovers tale that brings the feel of a small hometown with some quirky characters and lots of heat!

Maybe This Christmas is a friends-to-lovers sports romance with a holiday theme! Emma, once an Olympic bound athlete, is a physical therapist and her best friends, Asher, is a pro hockey player. Asher is injured and needs Emma's help. Emma has been trying to work up the nerve to tell him she loves him, worried he won't return the feeling.

Asher is consumed by hockey. He welcomes his no strings sex with Emma because it doesn't interfere with his ultimate love, playing hockey. But, his injury forces him back home to recover and spending a lot of time with Emma makes him see things in a different light. Because Emma lost her shot at professional athletics years before (due to injury), Asher is starting to get a sense of how she felt then. Now, Emma has a chance to go to Florida and enter a Ph.D program for physical therapy. The only thing that could alter her course? Asher.

Sometimes I wanted to shake Emma because Asher did not deserve her devotion. But, I understood her. She could no more walk away from the possibility than anyone could. Asher made me crazy with his single minded focus on hockey. However, I understood it. It was his life and he just wasn't ready for anything else until it was forced upon him. I did want to punch Emma's judgmental sister a few times though (she comes around by the end but in the beginning...grrrr)! Her dad and Asher's mom's bickering adds a bit of family angst to the story. Overall, if you enjoy sports romance and Christmas romance, Maybe This Christmas is a great pick! You don't have to have read about Asher's brothers in the previous 2 books to enjoy this book (I haven't read them and it wasn't a hinderance at all!)

A wish, a risk and a kiss light up the season this holiday. Ms. Snow mixes business with pleasure in this friends with benefits romance. What happens when a hockey star is forced to spend the holiday with his endearingly, overbearing family? He discovers the girl he left behind is starting to look like the woman he can't live without. The people we love most are sometimes the ones we appreciate the least. Maybe This Christmas is a reminder of the precious moments and the special people that grace our lives and live within our hearts.

Hockey hottie? Check!
Friends to more? Check!
Christmas? Check!

I am a sucker for a hockey story. Put hockey in the blurb and I will one click that thing faster than you can say "mine!"

I have adored the earlier books in the Colorado Ice series that I have read so far (I have missed a couple but will be going back to them) however I think that Maybe this Christmas is now my favourite.

I adore the friends-to-fwb-to more storyline. I adore that it is not all about how great the guy is on the ice. I adore that is is about our lovelies finding their way to more, that there is more to life than sport, that you have to do what is right for you, not for anyone else.

I did get a little frustrated with Asher at times though - he was a bit of a dunce when it came to things other than hockey (most of the time anyway).

And then there is Emma's sister. OMG the more the story continued, the more I really did come to dislike her. She redeemed herself with me with about 10% of the book left, but OMG I wanted to throw my kindle at her!

Maybe The Christmas was just the thing to start getting me in the festive mood, and now I can't wait to see what Ms Snow brings us next.

Maybe This Christmas is book three in the Colorado Ice Series by Jennifer Snow. It’s still really hot outside so what’s better than a little Christmas in September to cool things off. Or should I say heat things up since the relationship between Asher Westmore and Emma Callaway is anything but cool. These two together generate enough heat to warm the coldest of winter nights.

Asher, the youngest of the four Westmore siblings, has followed in his older brother’s footsteps and plays professional hockey. Where his brother Ben plays for Denver, Ash plays for New Jersey. Asher has two games left to hit a major milestone, his one thousandth game. Asher has been nursing a knee injury and trying to keep it hidden for quite some time now. He just wants to make it to his milestone game, then he promises himself he’ll get the treatment needed. He was so close. His team is playing against his brother Ben’s team and an especially hard hit by his own brother changed everything. His knee was further injured and his secret was exposed. After emergency surgery he is sent home to Glenwood Falls, Colorado to recuperate. Good thing he knows a really good physical therapist very well.

Emma was a professional snow boarder, an Olympic Gold Medalist. But a severe accident ended her career. Now she is a physical therapist and living in Glenwood Falls. She and Asher have been best friends for years. It didn’t take long for their friendship to become a friends with benefits friendship. The chemistry between them never dimmed each and every time they were together. They understood each other’s drive to focus on their careers. Emma, though, for the last year, has realized that her feelings toward Ash have changed. She has fallen in love with him. She knows she needs to tell him, to see if there is any chance he could ever feel more towards her. He is home for several weeks while they deal with his injury so it’s the perfect time for them to spend time together to see where things go.

Ash can sense that Emma’s feelings are changing. He knows he has feelings for her. But he wants to concentrate on hockey until he is forced to quit playing. Can he manage a serious relationship and his career? Or would Emma wait for him?

“Funny how he could know someone so long, love them even, and then like lightning a realization could hit.”

Asher is convinced that Emma would be happier going back to her snow boarding career. And Emma’s sister pressures her to stay completely away from her previous career and to concentrate on her new physical therapy career. I felt bad for Emma. It seemed like everyone else knew what was best for her. She is facing some very major decisions, decisions that feel right but that the timing is all wrong. Then there are her feelings for Asher. She’s scared to death to tell him how she feels, that he doesn’t feel the same.

Asher kind of made me a little angry at times. You know the old saying, he wanted his cake and to eat it too. I kind of felt like that. He did have strong feelings for Emma. But he didn’t want any distractions in his career. He was unwilling to make her a priority at that point in his life. But there is nothing like watching a man realize that he could easily lose the one thing that he took for granted, the thing that was more important to him than he could have imagined.

“She was the one person in the world he always knew he could count on and the only one he wanted to be with.”

This is a sweet, sexy romance that I enjoyed so very much. I love the Westmore family. We really get a look into the heads of these professional athletes and the competitive spirit that they live with, even as brothers. To have Asher’s own brother take him out of the game that way was a hard thing for them to deal with and I felt so bad for their mom being right there in the middle. But in the end, this is a very close family, and they worked everything out as Ben is also dealing with some big decisions in his life.

I have loved this series from the start and this book was no exception. Asher and Emma were fantastic together. I can’t wait to see what Jennifer Snow has in store for us next!

Maybe This Christmas, the latest Colorado Ice novel by Jennifer Snow, takes Asher and Emma from friends to more. We’ve seen them be “friends” in the previous books, but this one finally reveals what’s been going on with the besties for all these years. It takes Asher a while to realize that he doesn’t know best when it comes to Emma and this stubbornness almost costs him everything. Their relationship is not quite classic friends to lovers, but strong fans of the trope won’t be disappointed. It was fun to catch up with all the Westmore siblings, especially at the holidays. The only thing missing was Owen.

While Snow might be out of Westmore siblings, the Colorado Avalanche and the town of Glenwood Falls do not have a shortage of those in need of good HEAs. I have my fingers crossed this is not the end of the series. I also hope that Snow revisits Beverly and Delaney, there is more there than a neighborly feud.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

Maybe This Christmas was a sweet romance. The sexual tension between Emma and Asher was off the chart. These two have been friends with benefits for a long time, when a accident happens to bring them together every day they seem to grow up and learn what real love is all about. I enjoyed this one, it's a quick read filled with all the emotions you can handle.

I just had too many issues with this book to be able to post a favorable review.

Maybe This Christmas, by Jennifer Snow is an contemporary holiday romance focused on hockey, family drama, career choices, and best friends discovering their love for each other.

Asher Westmore only had one more hockey game until a major career milestone, yet a sidelining injury caused him to be benched. Thankfully, his best friend is a physical therapist and she's willing to help him recover and recuperate.

Emma Callaway is in love with Asher and she wants a real relationship, especially since several years ago they added benefits to their best friend status. Even though Asher is focused on his hockey career, Emma is the only woman in his life. As the story unfolds, they have to deal with family interference, career choices, and relationship issues.

Even though it's the third book in the Colorado Ice series, this is considered a stand-alone, so it's not necessary to read the series in order.

Maybe This Christmas is geared towards those who enjoy reading contemporary holiday romances with an emphasis on family and hockey.

Emma Callaway has had a serious thing for her friend Asher for some years now, and for a while she was certain he didn't return the attraction, then he made a move to take things in a different direction, a direction that lead to a friends with benefits relationship. But somewhere along the way Emma's feelings started to get involved, and she has tried to keep them at bay, but no matter how hard she tries to bury them, they seem to keep finding a way out. With Asher home for the holidays, Emma decides this is the perfect time for them to have a talk about their future, she just hopes he feels the same way too!

Asher Westmore is at a loss right now, everything in his life revolves around hockey, but after suffering an injury, he's not able to do what he loves... and it's killing him. He is stuck in his home town, around his overbearing family, while he recuperates and he can't wait to get healed up and back to Jersey. Good thing he has the perfect little distraction until then to help him heal and keep him busy... his best friend with benefits Emma. But he's just found out that Emma may not be sticking around much longer, she has a great opportunity in front of her, and another man vying for her attention, and it is really unsettling for Asher. She has always been his rock, and he isn't so ready to let her slip away... which means it might just be time to stake his claim!

Maybe This Christmas is a sweet little read that is sure to put readers in the holiday spirit and leave their hearts nice and toasty! As soon as I cracked the cover on this one I was pulled right back into the lives of my favorite characters from the Colorado Ice series and once again treated to a heartwarming read that left my heart happy. Asher and Emma were quite the pair, their touching story had plenty of moments that made me smile, made me swoon, and made my heart rejoice, it was such a great read! Highly recommend this one, it's romantic and sexy and sure to satisfy!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

I've been looking forward to Asher's story from the very beginning and combining it with my love of holiday stories seemed to seal the deal on this book. It didn't necessarily live up to my hopes for Asher's story but it was still an enjoyable read.

Asher was a little too of a knucklehead for me with his obsession with hockey blinding him to what he had with Emma and the risk he was running of losing her. I get he had his dedication to his sport but it did grate on me a bit that he just had this assumption that once he accomplished all his goals that Emma would still be sitting there waiting for him. I did like Emma and was glad she was willing to take a chance by putting her feelings out there for Asher and my heart broke for her when Asher messed things up.

The ending was satisfying and it is great seeing all of the Westmore siblings have their HEAs. Definitely a fun series to read.

They have been friends with benefits for a long time, but things are about to change and neither Emma or Asher are prepared to risk what they have for something more, but it’s the holiday season, a time of miracles and magic. With both his leg and his ego on the injured list, Asher struggles with knowing he may never reach his hockey career goal of one-upping his hockey star brother or reaching a game landmark. Emma knows how he feels, she was once an Olympic athlete, but a freak accident shook her to the core and broke her competitive spirit and self-confidence.

While Asher can’t wait to hit the ice and slam his next opponent into the boards, Emma refuses to entertain taking a chance on the sport she loves. While their physical relationship sizzles, their emotional relationship is in the penalty box as each one manages to ignore what the other one really needs. It will all come down to one moment of truth, a huge leap of faith, and complete honesty of the heart.

MAYBE THIS CHRISTMAS by Jennifer Snow is a sweet holiday romance, not too heavy, filled with the sparkle of sexual tension and two people who, while chronologically adults, have a lot to learn about love. A quick read, filled with humor, heartache and even some heroics!

This was a wonderful Christmas novel. Asher and Emma have been best friends for so long and they seamlessly went into a friends with benefits relationship. It's the next step that seems to be catching them up. I loved reading all of their ups and downs.

The Colorado Ice series by Jennifer Snow always piques my interest because the blurbs promise a sweet romance. And let me tell you, she delivers! Every. Single. Time. In this installment (which can be read as a complete standalone, just like the others in the series) readers are going to meet two people who develop a closer relationship than either one every imagined. It's a sweet tale, and a winning friends to lovers romance that will slip into your hearts unnoticed.

I truly enjoy this series. This one was certainly filled with enough Christmas cheer to leave me anxiously awaiting the holiday, and also filled with the kind of ever lasting love that will make you swoon.

If you're a fan of friends to lovers, sports, and holiday romances, I recommend reading a copy of Maybe this Christmas.

This is the story about Asher and his BFF Emma, Asher is a hockey star and he plays for his brother's opposing team. In a game the two teams play, his brother Ben injures his already weakened knee right before 100th game of his career.

Asher has a friends with benefits relationship with his best friend Emma who also is a PT who will help him with his injury. She has been in love with him for years. Does he love her? Is he ready to be in a real romantic relationship? well these are the questions this book asks and answers.

I have really loved this series but this book was not my favorite. At times I did not like Asher. He was very immature and hard to like in that he cares about Emma but he doesn't wantcommitment and so he hides from himself. He is also kinda a jerk with his family and I felt he risked Emma's career by his having a sexual relationship with a PT.

I would love to say I loved Emma but I did not. I wanted her to get a backbone and dump Asher and get life. I totally agreed with her sister and her opinion on Asher. I would have liked this story if Emma wasn't such a doormat to Asher. She really lets him treat her however he wants.

While I do love this series and it was great to see previous characters in this series, I really did not like the main characters in this story.
