This book was going so good but then it took a very confusing turn. I am totally confused about the conflict in this book. I'm don't understand why she got mad? It would have made more sense if she was mad at the responder that left her husband to die, but it didn't. She always knew that he was leaving, so I don't get how it became an issue.

Everything feels unfinished yet boring. Like the author had a solid idea in the beginning but lost it along the way. The two stars are for the first third of the book, the rest of it will leave you confused.

Liv Preston's husband has died in a tragic accident and she is trying to move on along with her 6 year old son. Ford Jamison is seeking redemption and want to put his past behind. An interesting book with good character and relationship development set in a small town.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the eARC

This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you

Unfortunately, while I enjoy this author, this book unfortunately did not resonate with me. While I’m a fan of this author, I did not finish this book. However, I look forward to more books by this author in the future.

After listening to an episode of the Stuff You Should Know podcast on search and rescue, I had mountains and rescue and dogs on the brain. So being the mood reader that I am, I sat down to read Every Little Kiss by Marina Adair to get my fix. Ford is a K-9 Search and Rescue superstar, and he’s come back to adorable, small-town Sequoia Lake to put his past mistakes behind him and prepare for his next assignment. Liv, and her son Paxton, are still trying to pick up the pieces after her husband is killed in a car accident, so they have moved into his childhood home. Ford and Liv meet and start a relationship, but of course he has a seeeeeecret that could derail the whole thing. I really enjoyed the first half of this book, but the second half moved a bit slow for me. The big secret is revealed at the very end of the book, and seems to resolve itself too quickly. Luckily, this story is saved by Bullseye, Ford’s hilarious K-9 partner, and Knox, Ford’s bossfriend that I hope gets a story real soon.

Although I loved part one of the series, I wasn´s so convinced from this book.

I liked the characters, but I wish I´d have read more from their interactions than everything around them. The love story is sweet and a litle bit dramatic. It develops a little slow, although I loved reading about Liv´s son Paxton and Fords dog - they´ve been really sweet.

*sigh*. Aw, there is nothing like a Marina Adair happy ending! She writes them better than almost anyone I know and this one ranks as one of her best!

I'll admit I was a bit worried throughout the first half of the book. It kind of wandered around a lot. I could put it down and not even think about it (something I’m rarely able to do with this author's books). I also had trouble connecting (or really liking) Liv's character, as she was so short and closed off with those around her. Thankfully not long after the 50% mark everything started picking up and, once again, the magic started happening. The strongest points?

I LOVED that the relationship came organically and grew before all the sexcapades. It was beautifully real and wonderfully done. Liv is a widowed mother who is trying to mend her broken heart while raising a child who has suffered a severe trauma. Allowing her to slowly grow and learn to love again before the physical aspect takes over made this story so much more real and touching.

I LOVED Paxton and his relationship with his Mom. Another aspect that resonated with believability. Things aren't always easy, sweet and fun when trying to love and help children through their hardships. This story shows both the depth of that love and the uncertainty any parent has when navigating the emotions and hurts of their children's fears.

I also loved Ford's character, although I didn't get the whole, "I can't tell her" excuse. It just didn't make sense. Still, his amazing loyalty and kindness far outweighed any short-comings.

SO... my advice - persevere through the first half and you will have yourself an exquisitely touching and sweet confection guaranteed to bring on those happy sighs!!

A sweet and heartwarming love story...

When Liv bought her late husband's childhood home, all she has in mind is for her six-year old son and herself move on. But she didn't expect the guy from next door would be of big help. Ford didn't expect to be part of Liv's life as well, especially that he's still being haunted by his past.

Packed with fun and sweet moments, this book is so well-written that I feel like I'm a part of Sequoia Lake, or rather I want to be part of it. I love the people in it. The characters are not shallow and definitely not the cliche types who said the cliche dialogue. Because seriously, most contemporary novels like this almost have the same dialogues. Liv is sweet which is slightly opposite from Ford's indifference to emotions.. :) :)

Though the main conflict showed up almost at the end of the story and was solved almost instantly, I'm fine with. I still enjoyed reading this.

A tragic accident leaves 6 year old Paxton fatherless & traumatized. Liv, an ER nurse and Paxton's mom moves to her husband's childhood home in Sequoia.
Ford is assigned to K9 Search & Rescue in Sequoia with his dog Bullseye.
A sweet story of trust, confidence, superheros and love.

This was a good book although I thought it was slow at times.

Liv's Husband died in a car accident a couple years ago. Ford is a highly skilled search and rescue officer. He rescued Liv's son but was unable to save her husband. Live does not know that Ford was the 1st officer that saved her son,

Thank you Netgalley and Montlake Romance for allowing me to read this title for an honest review.

This is one very emotional read! I love Marina Adair’s writing style; there is just something about the way she so smoothly meshes all the elements of her book to create a rich story. Lightness always balances the dark, for every sweet look there is a steamy kiss and for every “given” a surprise. But this story really amped up the surprise, the drama and the emotion!

Liv Preston has been trying to carry on in Sequoia Lake after an accident killed her husband and left her son with such trauma that he has not spoken since the accident. When Reno search and rescue hunk Ford Jamieson moves in next door temporarily, Liv’s world seems a little brighter. But beneath the crazy chemistry and witty banter between the two lies a secret Ford holds that may change their relationship dramatically should it come out. What can that secret be?

Well, I for one was thrown for a loop by it! How did I not see it coming? I was glued to the pages, watching ford and Liv dance around each other at first, then with one another. Young Paxton just will tug on your heartstrings - you will be rooting for this trio to become one family! Ah, but that secret….This is an excellent second book to the Sequoia Lake series, with that Adair magic sprinkled across that always manages to have me sitting up all night reading. I cannot wait for the next installment!

This was a great book. I fell in love with the characters. The way the author wrote some of the scenery of the wilderness around the lodge drew me in quickly. Avery and Ty were awesome together. Avery's spirit and desire to live life to the fullest. She had a major health scare that made her decide to change the way she living. She wants to live life loud even attempt some daring endeavours. She gets herself in a few pickles and scrapes. Ty comes home to help fix up the lodge since he heard it failed a major inspection. He runs into Avery who is caught red handed on the hood of his truck. Which leads to a kiss....and other mishaps. Ty is destined to get the lodge back in shape pulls a few tricks of his own. Can these two work toward a common goal of getting the lodge back in shape? Can two people get over past hurts and forge a future together? I look forward to reading other books in this series and other books written by this Author. ARC provided by Net galley for an honest review.

This is an amazing story of love, loss and second chances. Liv and Ford are so perfect for each other and add in Paxton Liv's son and they make the perfect family for a place called Sequoia Lake. Over all if you love second chance romance you will love this story.

I really loved this story but I didn't like the occasional f-bombs or the descriptive sex scenes. The story as about Liv and her young so, Paxton. Liv's husband had died two years earlier in a terrible car accident and Paxton was in the car with him when it happened. They were rescued by a Search and Rescue team out of Reno, NV, but her husband hadn't survived the ordeal. Paxton had been so traumatized that he developed selective mutism. He would only speak to his mom or to his stuffed animal who was a SuperHero Dog.

Ford was the first responder to the accident in which Liv's husband, Sam, had died. He had spent several hours in a cave with Paxton and his father and he had listened to Sam tell him how wonderful his wife was and how much he loved her and Ford had promised to look after Liv and his son because Sam knew he was dying.

After the rescue, Ford had kept an eye on Liv and Paxton from a distance but he couldn't get over the effect that experience had on his life and his career. He wanted to get to know Liv to put a final stamp on his commitment to take care of her so he could move on so he moved to the small town in the Sierra Foothills to gain his equilibrium back. But, coming face to face with Liv did anything but provide some closure for him. He just wanted more and more with Liv but he was keeping a secret and knew that eventually that secret would be exposed. He saw his time with her as temporary, with an expiration date. But, his heart kept telling him it could be more. Would the secret about who he really was destroy everything he really wanted in his life?

I was given an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

As always Marina Adair takes her readers on a fantastic journey through the lives and loves of her characters. There is not one bad thing I could say about her books. Readers should be prepared to want to read this book all in one sitting.

I tried, really tried, to get into the book, but I just couldn't. It didn't suck me in like the first in the series did. I'm still trying to get through it and I am half way through it.
