Dark.
Mind blowingly dark.
I couldn't go a five because it was so...
But...the characters leap off the pages and it was very well written. Damaged doesn't begin to describe Claire. And Connor is a relentless cop, a good man. This is a story that will stay with you, break your heart and root for the good guy.
I'm looking forward to more by this author.
Interesting premise..a very dark one.. To her family Claire Fletcher has been missing for 10 years. But Claire knows where she is – living in a nightmare and hoping that one of the men she has one night stands with when her captor isnt looking will figure out the clues she leaves them and finally be the one to rescue her from hell. So far she is 0 for 3 as those men aren't living any longer. Her latest happens to be a Detective who she hopes by involving him, hasn't signed his death warrant by leaving him the clues like she did the others.
After 10 years of being held captive by a pedophile, Claire was granted the limited freedom of working part time. Its during her time away that she picks up men in bars and leaves clues with them. Her latest was Connor Parks who was having a bad day. Divorce was final and he ended up shooting a suspect they had been chasing for a long time.
Connor took the bait and followed the clues she left and found out no one had seen Claire in 10 years and here he had recently spent the night with her. Its a mystery he cant let go..
As the reader we are given the graphic details of what Claire endured along with the other girls that had been taken over the years who hadnt ended up as lucky as Claire (meaning she was still alive). Claire struggles with everything imaginable – PTSD, guilt, shame. But through all of that she is survivor and she wants nothing more than to make her kidnapper pay.
An engaging psychological suspense from start to finish..
Finding Claire Fletcher is a dark, disturbing, intense, yet fascinating story that had me wondering why I am reading this but so engrossed in the story I couldn't put it down. I wanted to learn more about what Claire had endured in her years of captivity and wanted to understand the psychological effects it had one her.
Lisa Regan does a good job going deep into Claire’s mental state, giving a good understanding and insight to her psychological side from the abuse she received from her abductor. I could really feel her terror, her shame and her will to survive her captivity. She is strong yet damage along with compassionate yet revengeful and she had me gripping my IPad intensely with fear but cheering her on as well.
I highly recommend Finding Claire Fletcher to thriller lovers who like some psychological insight to the characters.

Wow, what a fantastic thriller and suspense novel. I couldn’t stop reading once I picked it up. The book follows a missing Claire Fletcher over the river and through the woods to a psychopath’s house we go. This book sent shivers down my spine. All throughout the book I just wanted Claire to run away from the psycho but she was trapped. The way she contacts Connor is something that is risky both for her and him and I wondered why she hadn’t taken another approach since the last few times she did this, people ended up dead. The worst part is that the psycho has an evil little mistress named Tiffany who treats Claire so badly as well. This book drives you through a whirlwind of people and places and evil doings. A fantastic read!
Thank you to Netgalley, Lisa Regan, and Sapphire Star Publishing for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A traveling sister read with my 3 favorite Canadian sisters Norma, Brenda and Lindsay!
Wow! Powerful and heart-wrenching.
Claire Fletcher is a young lady of just 15 when she is brutally kidnapped off the street, only blocks from her home. Now she’s in the hands of a deeply disturbed maniac, who takes great pleasure and sick joy abusing her physically and emotionally over the next 10 years. Nearly half her entire lifetime. Absolutely frightening!
During her endless captivity, Claire has earned the so-called privilege of working part-time. She takes advantage of this small window of opportunity to slip out past her “curfew.” On one such outing, destiny leads her to Connor Parks, a recently divorced police detective. He quickly realizes there is a great deal more to this young, mystery lady. Is it possible she’s the same girl that’s been missing for the last 10 years?
This book explores the horrific acts and depraved mind of a pedophile. Then also delves into the psyche of the kidnapped victim. The guilt Claire is burdened with, and the small sliver of herself that she desperately clings to throughout this living nightmare.
Now you ask... why in the world would Claire remain in this crazy animal’s grasp for 10 years? Why wouldn't she run for home or to the police when given the chance? Well, keep turning the pages. You will be enlightened after finishing this book.
The hardest part of reading this with my lovely sisters is that I wanted to keep reading (I think we all did, actually!). It took everything I had not to finish this in one sitting! (I’m only human!)
This book may be hard for some to read, the subject matter is difficult, but it is so well crafted. It will leave you cheering for Claire's strength, will and determination.
Absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!

4 stars! This was an intense and gripping thriller!
I was completely intrigued and hooked to this novel from the very first page. The author, Lisa Regan, does a fantastic job creating an extremely addictive story, building suspense as each page and chapter passes. I loved the main characters, Claire and Connor. I cared about their lives and what was happening to each of them on this gut wrenching, devastating and terrifying journey.
The story revolves around solving a ten-year-old child abduction case. Claire has been beaten down - mentally, physically and sexually abused while living in captivity for ten years. At the hands of her abductor, she lives in a world that is so disturbing and sickening that I had to turn away from the book for moments to calm myself. I was so upset and frustrated with Claire’s situation and wanted to reach into the story to save her. Regan’s writing is so addictive that even though I had a hard time reading these scenes, it didn’t deter me from continuing with the book – I absolutely HAD to know what was going to happen.
The first 85% of the book was a 5-star reading experience but the last 15% of the story lost its spark which is why I took one star away. I felt some of the things that happened near the end were somewhat unrealistic and didn’t fully add up for me. It was still a good ending and I did feel a sense of closure, but for me, the ending simply wasn’t as amazing as the rest of the book.
Overall, this was a great read that I would definitely recommend!
A big thank you to NetGalley, Thomas & Mercer and Lisa Regan for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

An absolutely brilliant take on the double meaning of the title!! Loved it!!
5 stars!! Well that was one awesome all-around great read!
FINDING CLAIRE FLETCHER is an intense, dark, disturbing, haunting, gripping, and suspenseful psychological thriller that captured my attention right from the very start and had me reading way past our Traveling Sisters reading goals as I kept thinking of this story and simply could not put it down.
LISA REGAN delivers a well-written and fascinating story here told in two alternating timelines from the perspective of our main character, Claire as we follow along her horrific ordeal that she endured while being held captive for 10 years. As well as the point of view from Connor a detective and his involvement and determination in FINDING CLAIRE FLETCHER. I was really able to feel the nightmare that Claire went through because LISA REGAN gave me a clear picture and a good understanding and insight into the horror that Claire endured asking myself why do I read this stuff.
What a great choice this book was to read together with my other Traveling Sisters as we all thoroughly enjoyed this emotional and heart-breaking read.
Right away Brenda and Lindsay put their detective skills to work and thought they figured out someone suspicious, almost having Norma convinced but leaving Kaceey waiting for it to go somewhere and it never did. We had a good laugh over that one.
To sum it all up it was a gripping, fast-paced, and an enjoyable read with a perfectly paced satisfying ending that didn’t feel rushed. Would recommend!!
Thank you so much to NetGalley, Thomas & Mercer and Lisa Regan for the opportunity to read a copy of this book for a fair and honest review.

A really good read. Found it hard to put down once I got into it
Finding Claire Fletcher is psychologically creepy and will keep you reading until the end!
Lisa Regan has done it again!! This is one of my absolute favorites so far this year. Page turner that keeps you on the edge until the end. If you haven't read it, get it now!!! Thank you NetGalley & Thomas & Mercer Publishing for this advanced copy!!
I was given an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest and independent review.
An utterly compelling read for me. It kept me hooked from the very beginning until the conclusion. This was a very well constructed and well written police procedure with interesting characters.
It always surprises me how people can write on such horrific subject matters and deal with it so compassionately. This was my first Lisa Regan book but will not be my last.
Excellent book 4.5****
Interesting plot and characters and suspense. Claire Fletcher was kidnapped as a 16 year old and held hostage for a number of years until she is a young woman trying to escape a horrible entrapment.
When I requested I didn't realize this is a reprint . Loved it the first time.
Finding Claire Fletcher is an exciting thriller written by author Lisa Regan. The book was originally published some time ago, this edition has been revised. I think Claire Fletcher would be a wonderful character in a new series. I've never been disappointed with any of this author's books. Thanks to NetGalley and Thomas and Mercer for the advance copy.
With his life in free fall (a brand new divorce, and a career on the skids) Sacramento detective decides to drown his sorrows in a bottle and ends up in bed with a mysterious woman. In the morning, she’s gone…again. The woman, Claire Fletcher has been missing for ten years and was presumed dead. But Claire is very much alive and in terrible danger. The person who took Claire, now “Lynn” won’t let anyone get close to her, those who do wind up dead. Now, with one careless evening of passion, she’s painted a target on Connor’s back. But Connor us made of sterner stuff, and with nothing left to lose, he sets out to find Claire and free her once and for all
Wow! This is the second book of Ms. Regan I have read and I was not disappointed with either book. Ms. Regan brings her characters to life like no other.
Finding Claire Fletcher is about a young girl who was abducted and held captive for 10 years. Claire is a strong character who you instantly feel connected to. Connor is a detective who looks into Clair's cold case after a chance encounter with her at a bar. A bit confused by Claire being held captive but yet going to a bar? Read this book and you will see there are twists and turns and even some shocking bombs dropped that will make you not want to put this
book down.
