Brick and Lilli were great together! Loved their story. Loved catching up with the Callahan's! Lovely, sweet read by Emily March. Always a good time to be had in Eternity Springs!
This is the first Emily March book I have read, so coming in 13 books into a series did make things a little bit difficult for me at times
Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it, but things flew right over my head.
I did mostly like Lilliana and her summer of self discovery, however I felt that the reason why she ran away for the summer was left behind at the beginning and forgotten until right at the end. It was a pretty big thing that happened and then... just dropped.
I did have quite a bit of trouble keeping up with who's who at the zoo. Since it is so far into a series ,and it is all adopted families and blended families and so many characters, I felt like my head was spinning trying to keep up - however if you are up to date with the series, you probably won't have this trouble.
I did adore Lilliana's friend Patty - she was a hoot and I want to be like her when I grow up.
I did like the push/pull between Lili and Brick - the boy she has loved all her life. He is a bit of a d!ck at times, but he does redeem himself to me.
I did feel that there was maybe just a little bit too much going on in the story at times, but this is probably just me. I also felt that the ending was a little rushed, again as so much was happening throughout the story.
If you are a fan of this author and this series, you will enjoy A Stardance Summer.
Eternity Springs sounds like the perfect small town to live, love & grow in. Everyone knows & looks out for everyone else. The town, people & scenery have a relaxing & calming effect on the people that come to visit. That's just what Lilian's Howe needs. Isn't it perfect that her elderly landlady's camping group is headed there for the summer when Lilianna decides to run?
Lilianna has always felt like she doesn't quite measure up to her brother, Derek. He was smart, athletic & popular. She considered herself average & a screwup. Derek became a heart surgeon. Lilianna was good with numbers so she became a CPA but still feels she's lesser than him. After being falsely accused of a crime, she told her parents everything expecting their support. When she didn't receive it, her anger kicked in & she decided to leave without letting anyone know where she was going. She was hurt, devastated & her trust was shattered. What was she going to do for the rest of her life?
Mark Christopher grew up with his adoptive parents next door to Lilianna. He was her brother's best friend & the object of Lilianna's school girl crush. After connecting with his biological family & changing to his original name of Mark Callahan, nicknamed Brick, he settled in Eternity Springs. After his disastrous relationship with his high school sweetheart, Brick has trust issues. His relationships are characterized as three (dates) & done. His campground is booked for the summer by the Tornado Alleycats, a group of older women in their campers. So why was Lilianna with them?
This book is the 13th book in the Eternity Springs series. It can be read as a stand alone but there are visits from a lot of the characters from the other books. The writer takes the plot in a different direction than expected but manages to keep the reader fully engaged. While reading, I experienced laughter, anger, sympathy, tears & more. This writer pulls at your heart & makes you feel! The supporting characters add dimension & emotion to the story. I love the character of Patsy! She's so supportive of Lilianna. This is another great book by Emily March.
Another winner by Emily March in her Eternity Springs series. I was a latecomer to the series, starting with the 7th book and trying to catch up on those first 6 ones that I missed. Because there are 4 books that I have not yet read, I was confused at first with all the names and where they fit into the series, but for the most part I figured it out before long and enjoyed the series. The synopsis on Goodreads is a bit misleading, since it says Brick's ex-girlfriend shows up unexpectedly, which never happens. There are several storylines in this book and all of them are enjoyable. I look forward to the next book in the series.
Brick Callahan loves Stardance Ranch, Until the Tornado Alleycats arrive with Liliana Howe in tow.
Brick and Liliana have a hx. He is her brother's best friend and, has spent years trying to forget her. Especially since he was severely burned by his first love. No permanent relationships for him EVER again!
Betrayed by family and the company she worked for, Liliana decides to do what she wants for once. She joins the group her landlady started and decides to spend the summer with them at Stardance Ranch. The only problem is that when she gets there, she realizes that Brick is the owner. She's not about to start things up with him. The last thing she needs is a complication when she's finally breaking loose and doing the things she wants to do! Unfortunately, the best laid plans of Brick and Liliana are about to be blown out of the water!
Emily March delivers on all counts in the latest enchanting and enjoyable installment of the Eternity Springs series, A Stardance Summer.
After being betrayed by the people she trusted most in the world, Liliana Howe had hardened her heart and invested all of her time and energy into her career. But the time has come for Lili to experience life away from her desk and outside of the claustrophobic office walls. Sick of being sensible and determined to put herself first for a change, Lili decides to stop being so career-focused and to start being daring and fun-loving. But what she hadn’t counted on was on finding herself coming face to face with her high school crush, Brick Callahan, who is still as sexy and irresistible as ever…
Stardance Ranch is Brick Callahan’s pride and joy. He loves the hustle, bustle and mayhem of his ranch and he is absolutely delighted when glamorous campers, the Tornado Alleycats, come to stay for an extended summer stay. Rest and relaxation might be what the Tornado Alleycats are looking for, but when Brick claps eyes on the newest member of the group, relaxation is the last thing on his mind! Lili Howe, his best friend’s little sister, has grown into a spectacularly beautiful woman whom he simply cannot stop thinking about…nor can he stop himself from wanting to kiss senseless.
Their attraction to one another is undeniable and the chemistry between them is off the charts, but when the past rears its head again, does their summer romance stand a chance of surviving? Or is their fling destined to be a mere holiday affair?
A gorgeous summer read that is charming, uplifting and irresistible, A Stardance Summer is a wonderful contemporary romance packed with humour, heart and heat. Emily March will make her readers laugh and cry with her enchanting story of old loves, new beginnings and fresh starts and will have them sighing with happiness as they find themselves swept away by this heart-warming read.
A fabulous summer tale I did not want to end, A Stardance Summer is a first-rate contemporary romance readers will simply lap up!
This was a delightful book to read and I loved it! The pace, plot and characters worked so well together it was a lovely way to pass a few hours and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is definitely a book for any beach bag this summer - the book is released on the 27th June - you can pre-order your copy now!
Lili has hit a rough spot in her career and in her life when she reaches out to those close and doesn't get the response she expected she knows its time to take a break from reality and find herself. Will this adventure with the Alleycats lead to the answers she is seeking or will it leave her lost and wanting more? Brick is on the mend of a broken heart. He has opened his own Glamping/camping and it seems the popular spot he's in a good place with his family and his friends but he wants just a little bit more and he's not sure what that looks like. When the Alleycats take over his campground for the summer he comes face to face with a person from his past he starts to question everyone. Will he find the healing he needs or is he better off alone?
I love these books by Emily March and this book did not disappoint. This book has a bunch of nosey matchmakers who just so happen to be grandma's out enjoying retirement and the summer. I didn't know my grandma but I would think we would all want grandmas like them. I really loved how even though there were a bunch of people interacting with main characters the author didn't feel the need to name them all and make it confusing and hard to keep up, it made the story easy to follow yet added a fun element to the story. I enjoyed the family element in the story as well it made you want to meet them all and hang out with them. It truly made you feel like these characters were friends and family, not just a fictional story. There is a few curse words and the mention of adult scenes in the book so it may not be suitable for all ages, but this book was a super fun read. I think the only thing I didn't like was I wanted more about Patsy in the end. I hope Josh's story is coming he was a huge part of this story and I wanted to know more of his story.
I was in the mood for a romance and this book fit the bill! I didn't realize that there were 12 other books in this series but the hints and peeks into the lives of some of the others in Eternity Springs has me wanting to check out the other books to see how various couples got together.
This book focused on Lili and Brick aka Mark. They have known each other since they were younger and even though Mark was her brother's friend, she had a crush on him. Of course as older brothers tend to do, she was off limits to Mark. They encounter each other again about 15 or so years later and she is not that pesky little girl he remembered from his childhood!
There are several areas this book touches on - fostering/adoption, fraud, illness and family loyalty. The author does a great job of weaving these stories together into this book and it held me captive through out. I thought I had figured a few things out and that the story line would be predictable, but I was wrong! Plus this book touched multiple emotions and the very last sentence had me laughing out loud.
When Liliana goes to her parents for emotional support and they shut her down, she decides a life shake-up is in order. She joins the all women's group the Tornado Alleycats and takes off on a camping trip with them. Except, she doesn’t get to fully escape as the owner of the camp turns out to be Mark "Brick" Callahan, her brother's high school best friend and her lifelong crush.
Brick can't believe his best friend's skinny sister turned out so hot but after being burned hard by his high school sweetheart, he's turned into a three date max man. However, the summer is long and his and Liliana's chemistry can't be denied.
Thirteenth in the Eternity Springs series, A Stardance Summer, is full of past couples as the series centers around the Callahan family. As a newcomer to the series it was pretty overwhelming and as the Callahan family is full of lost children, adoptive members, and spouses, relationships and whose who was a bit confusing. On the other side of the coin, if you are a longtime reader of the series, you'd probably enjoy the whole big messy loving family appearances and interactions. I also felt this had a bit of a women's fiction vibe to it as the romance between our leads didn't exactly feel like the focus so much as their individual personal struggles.
Our heroine Liliana was a fun plucky character. She grew up in her brother's shadow a bit and seemed to follow what her parents wanted for her life more than her own desires. When she uncovers something illegal at work and then gets framed for a DUI, it was the eye opener she needed to take charge of her own life. I liked following her journey as she went from unsure to solid in her own convictions. She was also very sympathetic with her wallflower crush on big brother's best friend.
Brick and his many names, was harder for me to connect with. He had the overused burned once, forever and ever shy syndrome that more often than not comes off a bit immature and dragged out. I never felt like I truly got to know him. I think my main problem stemmed from him and Liliana not really having much romantic or emotional relationship bonding and scenes. We see most of their relationship from Liliana's past recollections of crushing on him and what we do get in the present is colored by Brick's constant stonewalling any thoughts of love or future with Liliana because of his past highschool girlfriend. I was disappointed in the lack of scenes of the two just being together and seeing them grow closer.
There was a lot happening in this book with a huge cast of characters. It seemed like some minor storyline was introduced, lasted for a couple pages, and then disappeared quickly. Liliana's work drama could have easily carried the drama but instead it's brought up in the beginning and then completely ignored until the very end, kind of a big deal for her character to just be ignored. There was also a pretty big character action reveal at the very end that felt out of nowhere and the wrap up with Liliana’s parents was extremely pat. The actress drama could have been completely cut out as the only thing it added was to seemingly throw a superfluous sneer at Hollywood types. There was also a slight twinge of sexist comments and tone that I wish would disappear from women's fiction and romance. Liliana talks about wanting to have a one night stand to be a "wild girl" and words like slutty and ho (after thinking she slept with someone the hero calls her a ho, does apologize right away but the thinking and sentiment are there) are thrown around. After getting into a fight with the actress, Liliana also derogatorily says, "she fought like a girl." Somewhat small but in what are supposed to be books for women, could we not?
If you're a reader of the series, you'll probably enjoy the large cast of past characters interactions and appearances and if you're looking for a clean (a kiss scene or two and the sex scene is completely fade to black) more leaning women's fiction, the writing is clean and crisp here.
There's just nothing better than a trip to Eternity Springs. Emily March's character's spring to life and feel like friends. The pages of her books just fly by until you unfortunately reach the end.
A Stardance Summer leads you to another pair of characters to fall in love with. Lilli is taking a sabbatical from the betrayal that seems to have become her life. It really seems that everyone has turned on her and she now has nowhere to turn. She heads to Eternity Springs to get away from it all and just maybe find some healing.
Brick is a busy guy...too busy to try to get over his broken heart. He's given up on women and relationships. He's just happy running and expanding his business. Then Lilli, his best friend's little sister, shows up. By that unwritten code of men, he has to keep his hands off of her. But starting out by seeing her naked doesn't make that easy. He may try really hard, but in the end, he may just find that she's worth breaking the rules.
Eternity Springs books are always about healing. Emily March gives us hope that just maybe we can heal what is hurt within ourselves.
I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I have said this before but it needs to be said again. Celeste is the best character ever! Most series struggle keeping things fresh and exciting to read. This series has never had that problem. Sweet and moving. I loved Lili and Brick's story. I enjoyed every minute of this book. Unputdownable!
The magic of Eternity Springs is alive and well, working it's way through the hearts of Lili Howe and Brick Callahan. Lili is having a heck of a year. Facing false allegations and lies back home and feeling like her family is once again judging her she decides to join a group of older ladies on their vacation to Eternity Springs. What she never expected was to stumble across her childhood crush Brick Callahan. Well that wasn't his name then but after reuniting with his biological family that's what they call him. There's a definite attraction between them but Lili knows she needs to return to her real life and Brick doesn't do commitment. So that leaves them a beautiful summer at Stardance Ranch. Sounds simple enough but nothing's ever simple when the heart becomes involved.
Another great story in this series and a book I highly recommend to everyone.
I found Emily March's books pretty late into her Eternity Springs series, but have easily been able to pick up each book and enjoy the story as a stand-alone story. A Stardance Summer is a reunion story with the added bonus of Brick being Lili's older brother's best friend from high school. Seriously two of my favorite romance tropes available, and they are in one book!
Let me just say how much I loved Lili Howe. She is such a strong character and has basically had to pick herself up and start over after losing her job thanks to being set up by the partners at her accounting firm. She heads to Eternity Springs for the summer to join up with the Tornado Alleycats and pushes herself outside her comfort zone as much possible. I loved Lili's landlady Patsy so much and she really seemed to be the voice of reason and the voice of adventure Lili needed at the same time. Plus, Patsy was one of the funniest characters in the book.
Brick or Mark as Lili had known him when they were growing up is super sexy, but has a big issue with commitment thanks to his ex-girlfriend Tiffany. I get getting your heart broken when you are in you early 20's, but it really pissed me off that he allowed that to shape how he looked at every single relationship after her. He was obviously falling hard for Lili as she was falling for him, yet he kept telling her it was short-term only. I liked Brick and Lili as a couple, just wanted him to man-up way sooner than he actually did. I do love that Lili's brother totally wanted to beat the crap out of Brick for breaking the "man code". It was nice to finally see someone in Lili's family show some sort of support to her.
I really did enjoy A Stardance Summer. It was a sweet romance that gave me so many laughs along the way. I did have major issues with Brick taking so long to man-up, and Lili's family to step up and support her. However, I loved how both issues were resolved, and the delay didn't take away my enjoyment of the story. I enjoy each new trip visiting the characters in Eternity Springs and look forward to my next visit as I finish each book.
Rating: 4 Stars (B)
As I marked Stardance Summer by Emily March on Goodreads as currently reading, I noticed it was #13 in the series. How did we get that far in this romantic series I love so much. The time has sped by. These books are an auto read for me, and I love every visit to Eternity Springs where the inimitable Celeste, the 'angel' watches over all - especially would be couples, who need a little push and shove to find themselves, heal and reach out to true love.
This time it is Liliana who flees to Eternity Springs because she has struck trouble in her home town and she sure is hurting from it. She joins a feisty group of women out to have a good time, led by Patsy, in a way not dissimilar to the wonderful Celeste in her spirit and ways of life.
Lilana walks right into the camp of Brick Callahan ( and don't get me going on the Callahan men, omg - I love that gang). It's a bit of a shock for Lili, she sets eyes on Brick and realises she has known him as the boy next door, many years ago when he was Mark and her brother's best friend. And... her secret love. He was very good to her but well she still wasn't allowed into their tree house.
Along the way as these two meet up and explore their relationship now, we get to reacquaint ourselves with many of the beloved characters in this town. If you are new to the series you don't have to have read previous books, they all stand alone, however every story is such fun. Many of them join with Celeste to put the screws on Brick when he is following the path all Callahan men seem prone to take, as I said I just love them.
Another heart warming, delightful read and visit to Eternity Springs. One of those small towns you really wish existed and you could visit... or live!

I want to start this review by saying that this is not the type of book I usually read and had I known this, I would not have signed up for this Blog Tour. While it does not appear as if this is being marketed as a "Christian Romance" that is exactly what this is. As a New York-born, California-living Atheist with degrees from two liberal universities, I am not exactly the target demographic for this book (or for this author, for that matter). Despite feeling duped by the marketing, I made the effort to read the entire thing. Honestly, had I stopped at any point before reaching the end, I would have a more favorable opinon of it. Unfortunately, I did finish it, so now, you, my dear readers, get to sit through a review of a book so revolting that it would probably get the Donald Trump seal of approval (that is, of course, if I thought Trump could read, which I am not convinced he can).
From the Publisher:
Lili Howe took a leap of faith when she decided to join the Tornado Alleycats, her elderly landlady’s all-female glamour-camping club. Lili’s always given everything to her career, putting herself on track to become her CPA firm’s youngest partner. But now that Lili’s carefully planned future is shattered, she’s willing to let summer work its magic on her―at all costs.
There’s never a dull moment at Stardance Ranch, the Colorado resort Brick Callahan built from the ground up. Still, a late night skinny-dipping session involving a bunch of “glamping” grannies. . .with his best friend’s kid sister Lili among them? He couldn’t have made up such story if he tried. The undeniable mutual attraction between Brick and gorgeous, spirited Lili is a reminder that life is full of surprises. But when Brick’s ex-girlfriend suddenly shows up, he’s faced with a desperate choice: Do right by a woman he once loved or take a chance on Lili. . .and do everything he can to win her heart?
* * * * * *
Before I get to why I find A Sundance Summer to be so abhorrent that I felt the need to associate it with the likes of Donald Trump, I have to say that there was one thing that I did like about it -- Lili's friend/substitute Grandmother, Patsy. Patsy is awesome. She constantly pushes Lili to go for what she wants and is 100% supportive of her decision to go after Brick. Had A Stardance Summer been about the relationship between these two women, I would have enjoyed it so much more. This could have been Thelma and Louise for the 21st Century! It could have been called Patsy and Lili's Great Adventure. I totally would have loved that book.
Sadly, that is not what I got. What I got was a preachy pile of flaming dog shit that someone left on my front doorstep. There is one character, Celeste, who actually talks like an Evangelical Motivational Speaker. If this was supposed to be some sort of tongue in cheek thing, where we're supposed to know that this character is cheesy, I wouldn't have been bothered by it. Instead, she is treated like some wise old woman, who gives out the best advice. Her advice, however, is odd. It is all about how there are two types of angels, ones that are like what your read about in religious texts and other that are simply other people who come into our lives to put us on the right path. She talks about how some people are born to be angels, but they need to "grow" their wings. I'm not quite sure what that even means. As Zuzu (and Clarence) told us:
This isn't the only Christian posturing that this book does -- there is a scene, close to the end of the book, in which Lili, thinking back over everything that happened to her, comes to the conclusion that she had to suffer through some truly awful things in order to reach that point in her life. That is some toxic, Calvinist predetermination bullshit. The idea that bad things have to happen for you to get to the good things is absolutely abhorant. What's worse is that because those bad things led her to good things, she needs to forgive the people that nearly ruined her life. Nope. Sorry. Life does not work that way -- not for the types of things that were done to Lili. For those things, people get sent to jail. There's no passing Go, and there sure as hell no $200.
The worst part of this stinking pile of dog shit isn't even the Christian tint that tainted it. No, this wouldn't be a good book even without that in there. First, there is the fact that this series has a complicated backstory that is confusing to someone who has never read it before. The most confusing thing is trying to figure out Brick's personal history. Lili knows him from when they were kids and his name was Mark Christopher, but the rest of the characters know him as Mark "Brick" Callahan. It took far too long for me to realize that Brick and Mark were one and the same person and it wasn't until Lili calls him Mark did I figure it out at all. I kept wondering if maybe the author changed his name after writing the prologue and had forgotten to fix it afterwards.
The worst part of A Stardance Summer is the toxic relationship between Lili and her family. I am absolutely certain that Lili's parents are the textbook example of Narcissitic Personality Disorder. Both of her parents act as if Lili is not good enough nor worthy enough for their love. They refuse to help her when she finds herself in a shit-ton of trouble and very obviously do not believe that she is completely innocent. At times, Lili mentions that her parents put ridiculous pressure on her to do well in school/life and were disappointed in her when she did not live up to their standards. It was also obvious that they preferred her brother, Derek, because he did. This treatment colors Lili's interactions with her brother and is the reason she keeps important information from him for the majority of the book.
What truly pissed me off about that part of the story was how they excused their treatment of Lili and their complete lack of empathy regarding her situation.
(SPOILER) When Lili approached her parents, asking them for help in getting her out of trouble with the law, they had just found out that her father was sick and they could not deal with more than one problem at a time.
That is not how a family works. You cannot completely check out of your kids' lives because you've got something going on in yours. Families are supposed to stick together. They're supposed to help each other when they're needed. My family might be crazy, but I know that if I needed them, they would be there for me, no questions asked. Unfortunately, Lili's family has been operating like this forever and so Lili seems not to understand how much they have wronged her. She definitely shouldn't have forgiven them for the way they treated her -- at least not as easily as she does here. There should have been A LOT more groveling than was done. Also, she should not have been made to feel as if she was the bad guy. You do not get to do what they did to their child and then make that child out to be the villain of the piece.
I cannot in good conscience recommend this book to anyone. I have no doubt that there are people, who will enjoy it -- there are 12 other books in this series, after all. I do have to hand it to Ms. March. She gets the dubious distinction of having written the first book to be reviewed on My Little Book Corner and receive ZERO STARS despite not being categorized as a DNF.
This was my first Emily March book. Yep, I jumped in at book 13 LOL Was I lost with the characters from previous books? A little bit. Did it take away from my enjoyment of this? Not at all. It made me want to go back and read the stories of all the wonderful citizens of Eternity Springs.
Lili has come to Eternity Springs after some horrible, false, stuff went down with her at work. She comes to meet up with her friend Patsy and Patsy's camping group. These ladies seem like a whole bunch of fun! Is Lili running from what happened at work and her parent's reaction? Yes, she is. But she is also realizing she needs to make a change in herself. And for that I am beyond jealous. Women who have the nerve to just pick up and move, change careers mid-life, and start over somewhere have my utmost admiration. I couldn't do it. I'm not brave enough, but Lili was, and when she got to Stardance RV resort she runs into her childhood and teenage crush, who also happens to be her brother's best friend, Mark Christopher, or Brick Callahan, as he goes by now.
Sparks fly between Brick and Lili, but Brick won't put himself out there because 1) Lili is his best friend's little sister, and 2) he's been burned by a woman before that he thought was going to be the one. I have to say, Brick made me kind of mad with him pushing her off and acting the way he did for so long in here. But the way he made it up to her at the end? OH MY! SWOON! Totally made up for any ill feelings I had towards him LOL
*thanks to the publisher for sharing a copy of this with me*
Emily March takes me back to one of my favorite fictional towns in the latest edition of her Eternity Springs series.
Brick Callahan enjoys the chaos at his campground, Stardance Ranch, especially after the Tornado Alleycats arrive for an extended summer stay. But when he discovers Liliana “Lili” Howe among the Alleycats, he fears he's in for a summer of trouble. Betrayed by those she trusted, Lili decides she's put her career first for too long and heads to Eternity Springs for a summer of rest and reassessment. The last person she expects to find
running an RV resort is her high school crush.
Brick and Lili’s story is my 13th visit to the lovely Colorado town of Eternity Springs. And like the couples before them, their story does not disappoint. There’s chemistry and of course, trouble in paradise that needs to be worked through. Their romance is believable and heartfelt, but I needed an epilogue. Brick and Lili’s story ended too quickly for me. I know I’ll probably hear more from them in future books, but I needed that little something extra right now. In addition to the love story there are a couple of side stories – one involving an Alleycat, the other Brick’s brother Josh – that I enjoyed very much. I would love to see more of these characters in future books.
This visit to Eternity Springs focuses a bit more on the Callahans than the other residents of the town. But don’t worry, there are updates about the other residents as well. If you’re not familiar with the Callahan brothers, there’s a reason for that. Their stories are told in the Callahan Brothers/Brazos Bend series. You can certainly jump right into A Stardance Summer without having read the previous Callahan books, but they’re worth an add to your TBR. While I’ve read all the Callahan and Eternity Springs books I admit I struggled at the beginning of this book to keep each of the characters straight. However, that had more to do with my short memory than Ms. March’s writing. But March did a good job of giving just enough info from previous books to keep the story (and my memory) flowing without it feeling like a rehash of the older titles.
I hope you’ll grab your copy of A Stardance Summer and journey back to Eternity Springs with me. Until our next stop in town …
A Stardance Summer is a great story full emotion. Emily March created a fantastic cast of characters they drew me into all of their struggles and successes. I can not wait for more.
This was a lovely story that is part of Ms March’s series, Eternity Springs. I had only read 3 other books in the series, so at times I was lost with all the names and references to characters in the previous books. That said, once I decided to not pay much attention to them ,I was able thoroughly enjoy the story.
Eternity Springs is considered a place where healing occurs and frequently, after many obstacles are overcome, romance blossoms. This story is no different. Our main characters, Brick/Mark and Lili are at a crossroad in their life, each for a different reason.
Lili has had a crush on Brick since she was 9 years old. Not only was she very young, but also the sister of his best friend. Aside from their story , we have Patsy, Lili’s landlady who encourages her to join the Tornado Alleycats and their RVs for a summer in a camp, now owned by Brick. Patsy too is at a turning point in her life. My very favorite secondary character is Celeste, who is truly the “angel” of Eternity Springs.
It’s a not only a story about love , but also about how our past experiences mold us and at times hinder us from moving forward. That no matter what, we should stand by our principles and integrity. That family , even with the best of intentions, might make us feel less important and less valuable than another person. That life is a present and therefore should be treasured and be joyful for each day we have. And last but not least, that love does conquer all.
I was gifted this book by Netgalley and the publisher. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
