Another winner. This series just keeps being great. I love how everyone ties together and keeps adding a new cast of characters.
This was a mixed bag of feelings for me, hence the 3-star rating. I love Emily March's writing style, her fun and unique characters, and the beautiful setting she creates that is Eternity Springs. The problem arises when I have a problem getting connected to the hero of the story. It's hard if you only like one-half of the whole romantic duo. I'll get into that shortly.
Liliana Howe is on the run - from her job, from her parents, from her safe and boring life. Joining up with a group of sassy senior ladies called the Tornado Alleycats, she buys a trailer and heads to the Stardance Ranch RV Resort in Eternity Springs for the summer. Only she has no idea that a blast from the past is waiting for her there. Mark "Brick" Callahan is a bit of a player - he dates lots of women but has no desire to settle down. In spite of getting around with every single lady in Eternity Springs, he is actually a very sweet, genuine guy who is still reeling from a painful past. Shy of relationships, he finds himself rethinking his lifestyle when Lili springs into his life in all her glory - in the nude. One amazing summer and two people who had no plans for love equals a recipe for romance.
To start, Liliana was amazing! She had such a spunky personality, caring a lot about what other people thought but desperately trying to act like nothing phased her. After trying to do the right thing and losing her job in the process, all she wants is to take back her life. Her parents abandoned her in her time of need, and she is a bit adrift. Having had a crush on Mark Callahan since she was seven years old, it's little wonder that seeing him again as an adult causes the sparks to fly. My issues was this - Mark is kind of a jerk. He had moments of friendliness and genuine good humor, and then he would really do something so stupid that I wanted to put the book down right then. Which is why it took me four days to read this book rather than the usual one or two. When the hero of the story calls the heroine slutty and implies she's a "ho" when she hasn't done anything to deserve it, I have to take a step back and assess his worthiness. In my opinion, Liliana deserved better, and Mark got really lucky. In the end, Liliana saved the day for this book. Mark was just kind of...there.
I would definitely be interested in reading more books by Emily March for her writing alone. She paints a picture with her words, and I found it easy to visualize the town and people. She made me wish I could find my own Eternity Springs.
Whenever I want to read something heartwarming, and genuinely romantic, I grab one of Emily March’s books set in Eternity Springs. Which is the reason why I was so delighted to receive an ARC copy of her newest installment of the series called A Stardance Summer
Set in the wonderful town, I would love to call home – Eternity Springs – this novel has exactly everything I have come accustomed to being one the high-quality romance novels by Emily March.
Brick and Lilianna, the two main characters of this book are destined for each other, but neither of them seems to think so. Not that there is no attraction, no, the chemistry between them is deep from the beginning of the story, and in a way started before this novel starts, yet both are affected by their circumstances.
In A Stardance Summer, they come together at a natural pace – like many of Mrs. March’s novels, this one lives within a larger timeframe than a lot of contemporary novels, which allows the chemistry and relationship to build in a more realistic fashion. There is no jumping into the bed on the first or even second time the main characters spent some time together, which is refreshing. Instead, the Author takes her time to build up to the inevitable connection, both emotionally (first), then physically (second).
Speaking of the physical, books in this series, including this one are not graphic when it comes to sex scenes. While this novel is not tame, or clean, it skips the unnecessary extreme details that make some romance novels feel more like they would fit into the erotica genre (or as some might call it “Mommy-Porn”). While I don’t think there is something wrong with a more detailed description, I find it always refreshing to read a novel that can convey the attraction between the main characters without explaining every detail of each and every “encounter”, that occurs.
For those readers who are new to Eternity Spring series, I need to point out that the cast is rather large. There are many well-developed side characters, some of them more in the spotlight than others, but as many of them are not only neighbors but often related, I am often happily wondering how the Author can keep track of all of their details and relationships. Yet, reading this book was like visiting old friends.
It is a stand-alone novel, with an HEA, so there is no true need to read any of the other novels in the series beforehand. But, once you get started reading one, you will – most likely – be hooked, like I was, and want to read all of them – maybe even more than just once.

This is the perfect book to kick off the summer. I loved the setting and I thought this was a great summer romance story.

ReaderToReader.com review
Liliana Howe always played by the rules, so when she is betrayed on her job, she is hurt and angry. She goes to her parents for advice, but only hears praises of her older doctor brother, having her believe they are ashamed of her. What now?
Patsy, Lili's landlady, runs an all-ladies group called the Tornado Alleycats. She suggests Lili join them on a camping adventure at Stardance Ranch in Eternity Springs, Colorado. Lili decides she needs to get away from Oklahoma to take the time to think about her options while licking her wounds.
Imagine Lili's shock when she discovers her brother's best friend, Mark Christopher owns the RV park. Lili has loved Mark since she was young, though he never paid attention to her. To make matters worse, her arch nemesis, Tiffany Lambeau, mean girl in high school, wrapped Mark around her little finger for years. More irritating, Tiffany just got hired for an executive position at Lili's old company.
Mark, who had been a foster kid, now goes by the moniker of Brick Callahan. He has two sets of parents, which confuses Lili, but once she sees him in the flesh again, she knows her adoration hasn't faded.
Mark, AKA, Brick cannot believe his best friend's little sister is grown into an enchanting woman. He realizes she is off limits, yet it doesn't stop his attraction. In the same respect, Lili's feelings haven't changed, but how can she compete with the likes of Tiffany? Little does she know Tiffany broke Brick's heart making him leery of relationships.
Though Brick's family situation is somewhat puzzling, this charming tale more that makes up for this by offering forgiveness, trust, and romance.
Aww! This is such a beautiful read. It had me smiling from ear to ear! This is the perfect book take take on vacation or even read when lounging in the sun at your pool or beach. Actually, this book is a must read for all women's beach bags this summer! And, based on this one, I think I am going to have to start on this series back from the beginning because they are too sweet to pass up. Highly recommended!

In this, the 13th book in the series, we find Lili Howe, who has just lost her job through a miscarriage of justice, tagging along with the Tornado Alleycats, her landlady’s older glamour camping club, on their summer group trip to Stardance Ranch, owned and operated by Lili’s older brother’s best friend and her former crush, Brick Callahan. It has been a while since Lili last saw Brick, but her attraction to him has not waned. He, on the other hand, once seemingly unaware of Lili’s crush or interest in him, now finds himself attracted to her, though wary of any involvement because she is the kid sister of his best friend. Thus, this summer will definitely be a challenge to get through for both of them. In the book, we watch Lili and Brick dance around a budding relationship, sometimes giving into it, while sometimes avoiding each other as they go about their daily lives. Still, in this setting, staying apart is never easy, especially since Brick owns and manages the Stardance Ranch, and is very involved in taking care of his guests every wish, whim and need. It was fascinating to watch how this pair interact with each other and others, alone or together. The other characters, the workers who also happen to be Brick’s siblings, the Tornado Alleycats and the townspeople, who all interact with each other as well as the pair throughout the book, were likewise fascinating to watch. Many of the characters who appear are from earlier books, but the author managed to provide enough details and backstory to figure out who each one was and how they fit. Of course, having read all the other books, this was fairly easy for me, but I suspect a reader who had not read any of the other books could also understand what was going on quite easily. I enjoyed this book, but it is not my favorite in the series. I had difficulty relating to both Lili and Brick and to their relationship. I just did not see as much chemistry between them as I wanted to see, and there were times I actually did not like these two characters. I also found the story started out well, but dragged a bit in the middle, while returning to the smooth, quick flow about the last third of the book. Nevertheless, I did enjoy this sweet story of a summer romance turned long-term. From the outset, I could easily guess the ending and there were few twists and turns to make me doubt the inevitable. Kudos to the author, who injected some interesting, great sub-plots/diversions into the story to keep it going well. I always find this author’s writing style quite agreeable and easy to read, and this book was no exception. This book will make a great summer, vacation, or beach read for a reader who enjoys Emily March’s works or who is looking for a great chick lit escape or who has enjoyed the other books in the series. I received this form NetGalley to read and review.
I was given an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest and independent review.
This was a sweet, easy to read romance set in a quaint small town. There were elements of humour, particularly in the characters of the older ladies. The characters were for me the saving grace of the book,
Whilst I enjoyed it, I like romances with a bit more heat and punch, with a more gripping storyline.
I tried several times to get into this book and couldn't do it. I tried once, waited a week, tried again, nothing. I unfortunately had no connection to the story, the hero or heroines and felt it was a jumbled mess of storylines. Probably more a "it's me, not you" kind of thing.
A visit to Emily March's Eternity Springs is such a joy. A Stardance Summer is filled with deep emotion, humor, strength of family, betrayal and love. Lili's heartwrenching attachment to Brick/Mark started when she was very young and each subsequent step in her life brought her to a reunion with him. I feel privileged to have shared in their thoughts as they were re-united, as well as to have a visit with all of the choice inhabitants of Eternity Springs, CO.
Emily March books just keep getting better and better. I really love this series. She puts so much emotion into each book and you can not help loving the ongoing character development. I always have pre orders for her books and am always selling her backlist
I'm certainly on a roll with good books recently as this was another wonderful, summery, feel-good book that I really enjoyed. I've read a couple of the earlier 'Eternity Springs' books a few years ago but somehow seemed to lose track of the series with all the other books around, but I shall definitely be going back to catch up with the previous books now.
This book was about Lilli and Brick (or Mark). Lilli has recently lost her job and been treated really badly at the firm she used to work for and decides to join in with her landlady's all female Tornado Alleycats RV group and spend the summer at Stardance Ranch resort in Eternity Springs. Lilli always did what was expected of her and decided it was time to do what she wanted and let loose a bit. After arriving at Eternity Springs she finds out the resort is owned by her schoolgirl crush and her brother's best friend Brick. The initial meeting is very funny as Brick goes out to the lake to ask the ladies to be quieter as it's very late, and finds them all skinny-dipping!
The Tornado Alleycats sound a wonderful, fun group of ladies that I'd love to know, especially their leader, and Lilli's landlady, Patsy. She lives her life to the full and has sounds like she's had a wonderful exciting life. Brick's extended family, also sound a wonderful group and as some are featured in previous books I'll certainly be catching up with their stories soon.
A very easy reading, feel-good, fun read that I read in one day sitting in my garden on a lovely hot, sunny bank holiday weekend in the UK (that doesn't happen very often so I made the most of it!).
Stardance Summer is a very well written romance. I loved the storyline and the setting. I enjoyed this author's writing and will be checking out other books in this series.
Everytime I visit Eternity Springs it's like indulging in a delightful treat.
Another Eternity Springs book! I was so happy to re-visit this magical Colorado town, having loved some of the previous installments in the series. However, since I started this series around the 7th book, I was a bit confused by all of the characters from very early in the series who made appearances. Regardless, A Stardance Summer was another gem of a story by Emily March. Lili and Brick are the main characters for this story. Having known each other since childhood, they unintentionally meet up at his campground where Lili has decided to regroup after leaving her hometown after losing her job in a scandal that was not of her making. Brick is wowed by how Lili has changed over the years, and is smitten. But because of a previous broken relationship, he has his own problems with commitment and is not ready to handle how he is feeling for Lili. This is where the magic and healing powers of the Angels of Eternity Springs come into play.
This was a very sweet and inspiring love story with just enough heat to make it not sappy. I can’t wait to return to Eternity Springs!
Thanks to Netgalley for an advanced copy in return for an honest review.
A STARDANCE SUMMER is the fourteenth installment in the Eternity Springs series which just proves that Emily March is quite a prolific author with a genius for creating a multitude of characters with very diverse personalities that just seem to go together. Kind of like a huge family. My biggest question is how I missed this series. But luckily A STARDANCE SUMMER caught my eye and I am now on a journey through all the previous thirteen books – in short I’m hooked.
The one thing residents in Eternity Springs have in common is their desire to find and hopefully forge a new path in their lives. The other thing is that these same residents are hopeless romantics. Once they have found love it is their personal special mission to help their friends succeed in their own pursuit of happiness and love.
A STARDANCE SUMMER is about having the audacity to believe you deserve that happy ending. Liliana Howe has had feelings for her brother Derek’s best friend Mark since she was a little girl and those feelings morphed into a teenage crush. Even though Derek and Mark were kind and protective toward Liliana the bottom line was that they were boys and going down quite a different path. Liliana was a good girl who accepted and followed rules – even when she felt there were unfair.
And then there was Tiffany and Liliana’s connection to Mark abruptly ended.
Many year later – twenty to be exact – we find Liliana once again facing great personal disappointment. Annoyed and hurt by events she finds herself on the outside once again.
A STARDANCE SUMMER is about Liliana and Mark “Brick” but the supporting cast has a way of stealing the show. The Callahan’s are a funny affectionate bunch with an ongoing personal dialog that will have you laughing out loud. As this was my initiation into the Eternity Springs series I was amazed that I never felt as though I came in at the middle of the show. Truly not the case which is a testament to the writing skills of Emily March. I can’t speak of the preceding stories but A STARDANCE SUMMER stands on its own merit.
This summer’s get away was to help Liliana get past her problems. Instead of facing them she had virtually run away. The time with her new friends of the Tornado Alleycats and especially with Patsy was going to be life altering. The topping on the cake was Brick.
Emily March was simply brilliant in creating a magical group of women who seemingly had nothing much in common except that they were all engaging smart and witty. And most importantly inclusive. What a wondrous concept. So in short A STARDANCE SUMMER is wondrous from start to finish. And if you love it as much as I did then I expect to see you following my example and making it your mission to catch up. Summer is on its way. Why not have an Eternity Springs reading marathon. Can’t think of a better way to spend lazy days at the beach or poolside. Enjoy.
Very sweet and well written romance with engaging and humorous characters. This is book 13 in the Eternity Springs series and I must admit that it did show in places. So many of the characters were from previous stories that a lot of time was spent summarising their back stories and romances which did detract a little from this story.

Will you ever be good enough? Lili had hoped that her parents would stand by her and not expect her to just accept the way that her firm was treating her. She had no choice but no make changes to her life, it is time for her to be free. Lili had always been the shy one, never made trouble always tried to be honest and where has that gotten her? She has no job and so much free time. So he decided to join Patsy and her group pf ladies for a summer journey. Now that she is here, she knows that she has to have fun and be wild and she has just found a link from her childhood and he will do nicely. Lili has been in love with Mark since she was 9 years old so seeing him now has brought back so many memories and not all of them are good but now is the time to get hers. Mark can't believe that she is all grown up and that she wants a summer romance with him. He knows that he can't cross that line as Lili is his best friend's sister but it isn't something that can stand in the way of fun. The more time they spend together the harder it is for them to accept this as just a summer thing but just as things are working out, it all comes crumbling down and they have nothing left. Lili knows that she can't expect more from Mark, he wasn't willing to give more but it still hurts so much. Mark knows that he has messed up badly and that he needs to find her and win her over, is he too late? A great read of putting your happiness first.
