This book was steamy and sweet. Total opposites coming together, being the missing piece to their own puzzle and opening their eyes to a different world. Quick but good read.
Madison is an LA girl coming off a nasty high profile divorce from her filandering husband. She is taking a retreat in NorCal to ground herself and hid. A chance encounter puts her on the path to meet Mountain man Luke a reclusive veteran Seal with a bad case of PTSD. Instant passion ensues. After Madison is is injured trying to sneak away from their chance encounter they actually delve past that initial burst of lust to see if a city girl and a mountain man can really have something together.
This was a really good story about Madison and Luke. Luke is a military vet who has become reclusive up in the mountains. When he stumbles upon Madison out in the woods, he feels things that he never thought he could feel. Madison is just getting out of a bad marriage and never expects to find the love of her life up in the mountains.
This was a good quick read. There was a lot of heat and chemistry between Madison and Luke. I loved watching Luke come out of his shell for her. I would have liked more closure with Madison's ex and I feel like Luke would have had a harder time moving to the city. But all in all, it was a good read.

I am loving these Misadventure short stories. This was a City Girl meets Mountain Man wild and crazy romance story. There were some super crazy scenes in this one where you couldn't help but gasp and laugh.
The ending of this one was so super sweet. I loved every minute of this short story. It was just the perfect length for an afternoon read.
Thanks NetGalley and Waterhouse Press for the arc in exchange for my honest review.
I received a free digital copy of this book from the publishers/author via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Madison has run away to a mountain resort to get over her divorce from her cheating ex when she meets the solitary Luke. Luke has suffered PTSD since the war and prefers being alone, but Madison ends up becoming his world, and he hers.
This book starts more or less straight away with some sexy things, and from then on, they don’t really stop. I did enjoy the chemistry and relationship between Madison and Luke, and it helps that Luke is a total dreamboat. This book was a great read with a story that wasn’t complicated whatsoever and just two people having a good time…or a GREAT time.
There were parts that were super cringe with some things said by the characters that had me red with second hand embarrassment, and obviously nothing like this would ever happen in real life, work. At one point in the book, there was a fight in this bar/restaurant and I thought it was totally pointless.
I adored this story..it was freaking hot and soo sweet too!
I loved both Madison and Luke..Their chemistry is just off the charts, but even more I loved that they are complete opposite and they fit perfectly together. I loved the compromises and the way their bond was ao unexpected yet the best thing ever.
Luke might be a recluse but dang, he can be bossy and of few words, but he can also be charming.
Maxison is so strong, even when she thinks she isn't.
I adored them together!
What a great and completely addicting read!!! I did not want to put my kindle down!!! We meet Madison & Luke and what a pair they are! Luke is the kind of man that any girl would def find beyond mouth watering and Madison cross paths with him when both least expect it. Be sure to check this baby out!!! You will be hooked from start to finish!!!
When I was signing up for the Misadventure of a City Girl I wasn't sure what to expect. Both authors were new to me and I toke a chance on the synopsis, but who doesn't love a mountain alpha man.
This was perfect for what I wanted to read. The story is intriguing, entertaining and definitely hot. There is heartbreak and unexpected love, romance and so much sexy.
Short, But does not suffer for it.
Misadventures of a City Girl is a sweet, sexy insta-love kinda thing. Well maybe not insta, but really quick.
Madison needs time away from LA. Time away from her cheating ex. Just time away. So she books herself a retreat at a hippie dippy kind of place. On her first day there, she's pleasuring herself in the water and suddenly she notices a hunky mountain man watching her. What could have been a really hot encounter, though, fizzles when he turns out to be a big grump and leaves her to find her own way back to her cabin after leading her to the trail. She's totally intrigued by him and sets off to find him the next day. When she comes upon a cabin set away from everything, and walks in on said hunky mountain man pleasuring HIMSELF, all bets are off for our two lovers.
I have to admit that Misadventures was not quite what I expected. I wasn't expecting it to be pretty much just one big ball of sexy times. But I'm not disappointed because Madison and Luke are hot together, and on their own, are likable characters with interesting backstories. I perhaps wished for a bit more relationship development before rushing headlong into all the sex, or at least, WHILE they were having all their steamy times, but honestly, it's not that big of a deal because Misadventures is a really entertaining, sweet piece of smut with heart.
If you like your romances with a smidge of heart, a lot of sweet, and LOTS of sex, Misadventures of a City Girl is the story for you. 1 click today!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Misadventures of a City Girl, is one book that shows us that there is misadventures, love after heartache, and how to trust our instincts and body when our minds say otherwise. You can always find love when your on a misadventure. I highly recommend reading this book, and hope to read more of Madison and Luke in the future
Such a sweet story! I really connected to the characters. The writing was excellent which I always find in Meredith Wild's work. Great addition to this series.
This is a quick and steamy read. Madison just got divorced from her famous husband. She needs to relax and unwind from her life. She ends up at a quirky retreat that she can't handle so she goes exploring. Enter Luke. Luke is a former soldier turned mountain man. When these two meet the pages start heating up. Their love story is also sweet and they help each other heal.
I really enjoyed Luke & Madison's story! I was hooked from the first page! Their story makes me want to go to the mountains and find my own alpha mountain man!
I love that through personal struggle, Madison found strength and was smart enough to realize she needed time away.
Luke was a dream mountain man that is still a gentleman.
I love Luke & Madison's banter back and forth. I love that they pushed each other outside their comfort zones. Love love loved these two together! A great couple with amazing chemistry.
This was a great read that I would highly recommend!

This was a HOT and fast paced page turner. Madison is freshly divorced and just wants out of town and away from everyone and everything. Off she goes to Avalon which is reported to be a "hippie"resort in northern California. After check in though she is overwhelmed and all she wants is to take a walk and ends up at the hot springs and thinking she is alone she strips and takes a swim. Time gets away and her inhibitions too and when she opens her eyes she not alone. Luke Dawson is a former SEAL and knows he is not fit to be around people nor does he want to be. He did not want to scare this beautiful woman but it looks like he has. It has gotten dark so he leads her back to her Avalon. Great start but the explosion starts the next day when they meet again and get stranded by a spring storm. Instant attraction that turns to more and these two who are so much alike it is uncanny. I truly had a great time reading this one and look forward to more Misadventures!

Luke Dawson lives off the grid. He wants a quiet and relatively simple life. He’s done his part for the country and now he wants to be left alone. Sounds like it’s an ideal life for himself. However that does kind of get thrown offtrack the minute Madison waltzes into his life.
Madison has come to Avalon Springs for a break from her reality and just wants to escape and be by herself for a while. She didn’t count on meeting Luke. These two explode when they are together and damn it is hot to read. There is drama and a lot of misunderstandings but this short sweet romance made me smile. I love the connection the authors forge. It’s sweet and definitely a romanc I recommend a lot.

Starting over in life sucks. Madison Atwood is a makeup artist in LA and very much in the public eye. After getting a divorce from her tabloid covered cheating husband, Madison is sick of the rat race. She married her ex young, and stood by him as his career took hold. He never once did anything for her. Feeling humiliated, divorced, and tired of putting on a brave face for the paparazzi, she knows she has to get away from it all to find the true Madison again. Visiting the Avalon Springs Retreat in the mountains may just be the ticket.
Upon arriving at the retreat, Madison is fidgety. What do I do now?? Not wanting to see other guests, she decides she wants to tour the property herself. She happens upon the hot springs the retreat is named for, and with no one around, she decides to take a dip in the warm waters-skinny dip that is! She only thought no one was around.....
Luke is a recluse and holed up in his mountain cabin after being discharged from the military. As a decorated Navy Seal, Luke has seen and done things most people would cringe at. He is bad with people, so his life in the clean mountain air, away from civilization is comfort. But he saw her in the springs. He chastises himself for not looking away...but he couldn't. She was enchanting. Now, she's all he can think about!
After a second encounter, their attraction boils over and they give into it. The chemistry from these two is undeniable! They can't get enough of one another! Gosh it was so hot!! Pretty quickly, they both can't see a life without the other. Luke's home is in the mountains and Madison's home is in LA-two very different worlds. Can they somehow find common ground???
I absolutely loved Misadventures of a City Girl!! Having been co-written by two authors, Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss, you would never guessed it as the story and dialog flowed seamlessly! I fell in love with this couple from the get-go and I knew they had to somehow figure out a way to be together. Luke was a strong man, he knew his strengths and weaknesses. Madison made him rethink what his limits were. He loved her and needed her like his next breath. Madison felt the same way. She was ready to give up her gorgeous house in the Hollywood hills to be with Luke, but she needed some of her basic creature comforts. As hard as it was, she knew Luke couldn't stay in the city though. They had to figure something out.
The journey we are given is truly an emotional one on so many levels. Both people are pushed past their fears and hopes that the other will catch them. I relished the ending and epilogue! Unforgettable!
This first story of the Misadventures series is truly one for the books! I can't wait to dive into the next one!!

This book was gifted to me by Waterhouse Press from NetGalley for a voluntary review. The review and ratings are solely my opinions.
I always wonder how two authors can co-write a book. How they can seamlessly blend together to for one voice. Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss nailed it. This book is hot. There are no other words to describe it. It's an easy read with a ton of smoking' sex scenes. It's sweet and quirky and romantic. The perfect book when you're in the mood for something light and sexy.

OMG can we please get this as a movie and it actually star Brock O’Hurn?? I swear these ladies did AMAZING!! I am a HUGE Chelle Bliss fan. This is my first read from Meredith Wild. But these ladies kicked ASS!! I didn’t want this book to end.
Hi, sweeties! I ought to have published this review two weeks ago or so, but I was busy writing my novel. In this one-week break from writing, I'll post some of the reviews about the books I've recently read.
PREMISE
I've never been so happy in my life like when I have been approved on Netgalley by Waterhouse Press to review their books. I love them! This book is so hot, like his main character, and it puts you in the mood to reflect about what matter the most in your life: love or fame?

REVIEW
"Misadventures of a city girl" it's the first book of the Misadventures series. I loved the characters in this book, they were very well developed and it wasn't so full of chliché as it may seem to reader that aren't acquainted with romances.
Madison Atwood has recently divorced from his famous ex husband, who has betrayed her for another woman. Deceptioned and sad, she decides to take a week off in the mountain area of Los Angeles. There she will meet Luke Dawson, a super hot boy, that made me sweat while I was reading, because of his sexiness. Seriously, I think that american writers have a thing for such sexy men, because every time I read an USA novel, I'm sure I will find one sexy character. Not that I'm complaining about it, I love them! But Luke was in the Marine, and when his duty to serve his country endend, he felt like he didn't fit the norma world anymore, so he decided to isolate himself from the outside world. The truth is, Luke had lost many friends during his years in the Navy SEALS, that he suffered from PSTD. This is the main reason why he decided to isolate himself from the world in which everyone lives in. But when he surprises Madison giving herself pleasure on the rocks outside the springs near his house, everything changes for him.
She's always rushing. Running headfirst into situations she hasn't thought. (...) She's all passion and no goddamn sense.
(Luke Dawson)
After a sexual beginning, their relationship begin to become stronger and stronger. They will heal each other's wounds. Luke will heal Madison's broken heart, and Madison will bring him to life again.
A novel that teaches us that we will have second chances if we trust ourselves and give fate a try.
A novel that teaches us that we can learn to love again.
A novel that teaches us that love can be found in the most strange ways.
I advise this novel to you all, and I greet from you with a quote from this book. Can't wait to read the next books of this series. Strongly advised to all my reader who love romances!
"I finally had the type of love that Susan told me to chaase.
But it was the opposite. I ran. He chased.
We both fell together."

Whoa.!!!! Let me start with that word because this book is sex on a page. This book most definitely live up to the hype of being scorching hot, but is it enough to make a great story.? Let's find out. First I wanted to give you a little insight on this hot read. First we have the city girl, Madison, and our hot lumberjack sex on a stick, Luke. Madison is a Hollywood make-up who was recently divorced from a no-good cheating husband and was looking for a nice, quiet retreat from the noisy fast-paced city. Little does she know, she will meet Luke, an ex-navy seal who lives in the cabin deep in the forest, and from there the temperature in this book reach blaring red levels.
In the first 5 pages of this book you get a sex scene and it really surprised me. I guess I should have expected it because Ms. Wild is the queen of erotica. The sex scenes are hot to say the least and Luke is a great hero. He is not an alpha or a broody, battered hero, but he is a former navy seal who loved and lost. I enjoyed Madison in small doses.
Now let's get to the bad part of the book. Eventhough this book had a hot lumberjack and the sex scenes were hot, it was not enough to carry this story. The story line was weak and their relationship did not seem realistic. I would still recommend the book though because anyone who wants a hot read, this is most definitely the book to pick up.
