What happens when an ex military recluse is suddenly forced to spend time with the ex wife of a Hollywood celebrity, sparks fly! Madison Atwood is a city girl who loves city life. When she's publicly humiliated she decides a break is in order. Luke Dawson is an ex Navy Seal who has seen the worst of what humanity has to offer.

This books is filled with steamy scenes, fun banter and despite how broken both people are, it offers hope when they needed it most.

Madison discovers Luke’s cabin, he knows it is not a good idea, but can't say no..... .a weather mishap causes them to stay together for a night that changes everything.... Can Luke say goodbye to the only life he knows now to be with a woman from the City? Can Madison give up the City live for love?

This was the third “Misadventures of” book that I have read and by far the one I enjoyed the most. They are all quick, sexy reads but this one had a little more depth. It’s about Madison, a recently divorced makeup artist, and Luke, a retired soldier who’s hiding from the world due to PTSD. They meet and fall into insta-lust but after their time alone in his cabin on the mountain he basically kicks her out. They of course get back together and it all works out wonderfully in the end. I fell in love with Luke; he is a wonderful hero and the numerous sex scenes are hot! The only issue I had with the hero is his use of the one word I cannot stand when talking about Madison’s privates. I find that word so demeaning to a woman. Take that word out of the story and I would give it 5 stars!

I can not begin to say how much I adored this book. It was sweet, funny, and spicy. Oh so spicy. And what do you say about a perfect guy like Luke? I loooooved him and his every flaw. He was a perfect character along with Madison. These two authors could not have done a better job collaborating. A heartfelt, perfect romance.

Once again I am sitting here torn over how I felt about a book, this time it is Misadventures Of A City Girl. I so wanted to love this book, one of the authors is one I always enjoy and the other is new to me. While this book was hot at times and I overall enjoyed it, I had some issues with it. First let me go over what I liked. I loved not like but loved Luke. My husband is a veteran and has PTSD so I immediately sympathized with him and wanted him to find happiness. I loved how he was with Maddison even when most people, me included would have thrown her off the side of a cliff but then again I have anger issues so…anyways moving forward. I liked the premise of the story, that this city girl falls for the recluse and that opposites really do attract. Plus there are some really hot sex scenes and a lot of them!

Here is what I didn’t like. Madison. There was something about her that just rubbed me the wring way, maybe it was the whole she selected that spa to find herself again yet refused to interact with any of the people there. She was really bitchy at times and I get that her heart was broken because of her divorce but while I tried to connect with her and believe me I tried I just didn’t. I also hate to say it but the book dragged a bit at times things dragged out and others were just sort of skimmed over.

Overall Misadventures Of A City Girl was a book that I enjoyed and one that I think fans of both of these authors will enjoy.

What a duo!! I love it when a story takes me completely by surprise and you want nothing more than to just stay in that moment with them. This was that story for me and it was everything that I was hoping for.

Everyone knows that going through a divorce is not the easiest thing in the world but going through a public divorce, that’s damn near traumatic. Needing to re-evaluate her life and de-stress, Madison goes on a much needed retreat in the mountains. With no paparazzi or ex-husband to see every time she turns around, Madison finally feels at peace. But interacting with a lot of people still isn’t a part of her plan while staying there so when she moves further down the mountain, Madison comes in contact with the reclusive Luke Dawson. They say first impressions are everything and meeting Luke for the first time, certainly made a very long lasting one on him.

“Luke Dawson came into my life during a time when I least expected it and turned everything upside down. He saved me. He says I saved him, but in all honestly, he brought me back to the woman I was always meant to be.

Being a decorated Navy Seal meant everything to Luke Dawson. He fought for his country and the brotherhood that he developed with other Seal members was the best feeling in the world to him. But going through wars and watching your brothers fall one by one is something that he could not unsee and that in turn has messed with him on another level. Deciding that the best thing to was just to isolate himself from everyone, Luke found refuge in the mountains. The open space, fresh air, and the silence is what drew him to that place and he’s never been more at peace. But that silence is about to get non existent when he lays eyes on a feisty city girl.

I have to say that I really enjoyed this one! Luke took me by surprise with his sweetness and I really wasn’t expecting that. I thought he was going to be this broody, angry bear of a man that is allergic to feelings and it just wasn’t the case with him. He definitely had his moments in the beginning but the moment he interacted with Madison, all bets were off and he was just the sweetest and hottest!

This was a nice sexy quick read and I loved that there wasn’t too much drama or stupid miscommunications. It could’ve been done with less sex scenes IMO but I still enjoyed it, especially the naughty parts. Knowing that this is the start to a series with more books from different authors, I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Misadventures of a City Girl (Misadventures, #1) is my first Misadventures book ..I give it 4 1/2 stars. I plan to read the next ones. Meredith Wild does a good job of taking me right into the story. Madison is trying to rediscover herself after her divorce from her cheating actor husband... Luke is living in his cabin (suffering from PTSD) after many tours as a SEAL. They meet on his mountain and the sparks fly from there. The story has a lot of HOT scenes and is a great story of healing and falling in love.

“I don’t know how I can go back to the way my life was before you came without feeling alone.”

Madison Atwood has decided that four weeks at a secluded Northern California retreat is just what she needs to help her re-center after her recent divorce. While enjoying some private time at the secluded hot springs just outside the resort, Madison is unsettled and turned on when she spies a man watching her. After their strange encounter, she only finds herself more intrigued by the mysterious, rugged man. Luke Dawson is used to the solitude of his simple life but when this hot little city girl shows up at his cabin and practically throws herself at him, he gives in to the mutual attraction. When they are forced to spend a few days in his cabin, riding out a storm, their passion and newfound connection only intensifies. Can a man who’s hidden himself away for five years and a girl from the bustling city ever have more than a few nights in the mountain together?

Is it hot in here or is it this book? I have to say that it’s definitely this book! This one is hot, hot, hot right from the start and doesn’t let up for the duration. After reading the first few chapters I thought that it’d pretty much be just a giant sex-fest, and while there was plenty of that, there ended up being a really sweet story too! Our mountain man, Luke, was yummy and it was so easy to fall in love with him! He was swoony and sexy and the vulnerability he possessed due to his past circumstances was very endearing. Madison was also confident and feisty and I thought her and Luke were great together! Keep those fans handy because this one will get your blood pumping for sure! This was a very quick read but there was a lot of heat and a lot of heart packed within the pages. I’m really excited to see what other misadventures are in store for us in the future!

4.5 steamy stars! This was a fun and sexy story. Madison needs to get away and reset so she can start the next chapter in her life. A retreat in the mountains is just what she needs, she just doesn't expect to meet Luke. The chemistry between them is undeniable and it's not shocking when the dynamic of their relationship quickly starts to change.

Madison Atwood is fresh off a divorce from her high school sweetheart who she found out had been cheating on her. Heartbroken, Madison decides to go away for some "me" time. She decides to go to an retreat in the woods in northern California.

Luke Dawson is a loner who lives in the cabin that he built in the woods close to the retreat. Luke finds Madison swimming in the springs and since she was skinny dipping, he got an eyeful and what he saw, he really liked.

When Madison and Luke come together, it is total HOTNESS. The time they spent together snowbound in his cabin is romantic and comical. They know that their relationship is temporary since they both have different lives so they enjoy each other during the time that they do have together. Luke is one hot mountain man though and Madison can't believe he would be attracted to her.

Once reality sets in for both of them, Madison and Luke have to decide if their relationship is worth making the necessary changes to their lives (her's in LA and his in the mountains) so that they can be with each other. I laughed so hard with some of the things that happened in this book and I am a total fan of Meredith and Chelle's books so this was a great read by both authors combined in one story!

A sensually gritty treat! They say opposites attract and boy are they right with this book! They are totally wrong for each other ... hot city girl meets broody mountain hermit and the chemistry is off the charts! They don't even like the thought of each other, but they can't keep their hands to themselves. The sex is hot, the connection is sweet and we find ourselves hoping for that happily ever after right from the start!

Madison Atwood is at her wits end! Her louse of an ex-husband is finally out of her life, but the scandal he left in his wake will not let her be! She can't stand another minute of living under LA's microscope. When she finds an off the beaten path spa getaway in Northern California, she feels like it's the answer to her prayers.

Luke Dawson left the real world behind years ago. He's lived alot of life in his time and right now all he can really handle is himself and the quiet he craves around him. He's surprised when he stumbles across Madison in the hot springs on his property, and can't keep himself from watching her. A short-lived interaction leaves him heading back to his cabin in a rush after seeing her off the mountain and back down to Avalon Springs Spa where she belongs. When she makes her way back up the mountain another day and stumbles into his cabin, they can no longer fight the pull they have for each other. It's madness, but it's obviously going to happen!

Let me just say that I was so excited to find out that not just one of my favorite authors but 2 of my favorite authors are writing together. This was such an exciting thing to hear and when I got my hands on this book, I was definitely not disappointed. I need more by Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss. This brought so much heat & hotness. I love that I honestly couldn't tell who wrote what part of the story. The chemistry between Luke and Madison is off the charts. The characters developed beautifully & Sparks fly along with their clothes. This is a 110% swoon worthy, scorchingly, sexy, rugged, and all mine 5+star read! I didn't want this to end I want & need more Luke & Madison! Must have. You will too!

A smokin' romance story by Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss with a plenty of hot sex scenes, off-the-charts chemistry, well-developed characters, a bit of humor and a HEA.

This wonderful contemporary romance hooked me at page one and kept me glued to the book until I read the last word with great characters, witty dialogue, toe-curling intimacy, a sweet love story and so much more. I really liked outgoing city girl, Madison Atwood, who needs to get away from LA after her divorce from her unfaithful husband, and her instant attraction, chemistry and repartee with Luke Dawson, rugged, reclusive mountain man and former Navy SEAL.

This is a great beginning to the Misadventures series and a good collaboration between two new-to-me authors. I look forward to reading more in this fun, sexy series.

I received a free advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and this is my unbiased review.

**3.5 Stars**

Misadventures of a City Girl created a push-pull romance between complete opposites; her escaping the city and a failed marriage, him escaping the grid and all contact with people after the detriment caused by war. When weather forces them into his secluded cabin, and subsequently each other's arms, the battle to fight it arises between them.

The fluidity of writing this story as a duo of writers felt very natural as it was easy to believe it came from one mind and two hands. I enjoyed the romanticism behind Madison's escape from betrayal and in the irony of her falling into the capable hands of a man who is more suited for her, but that she's blind to see it. Luke's compassion exuded from him and led him into being very hero-like. Their chemistry was instant; an insta-lust connection that quickly spiraled into an inferno of passion.

Misadventures of a City Girl read like more erotica than erotic romance due to its minimal character development or depth to plot other than this being a very fantasy-like imagining. I did wish for more to their characters, more to the push and pulls than the erotic nature of their relationship as I could see the potential to their story from the very beginning. Luke's PTSD was a passing mention rather than a true character piece that, if actually used, would have been a very debilitating condition for him. I think it was a missed opportunity to explore something in him and in how she could've managed to be a support for him.

If you're looking for an erotic romance with intensely heated scenes, this is your story. It was very well done for that genre, and gives a reader exactly what they want. It was easy to feel the scenes and imagine the story as it played out from page to page. I wanted more, yes, but as it is written, it's a good, quick read that'll tick all of your boxes.

Madison married her high school sweetheart and she thought they would be together forever. Their marriage only lasted long enough for him to launch a successful career as an actor and realize that he could have any woman he wanted, which he did. Tired of the paparazzi she decides a break at Avalon Springs Retreat to reflect on her marriage is what she needs.

Luke is a former Navy SEAL who moved to the mountain to withdraw from as much social contact as he can. He has seen and done things while in the service that remain with him to this day.

When Luke sees Madison enjoying the springs he is unable to look away and can’t stop thinking about her. When she finds his cabin and they end up snowbound their heat is explosive but what does the future hold in store for a city girl and a mountain man?

I love these two characters as they have each been hurt by what life has thrown at them but they make each other stronger. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I have never read a book by either one of these authors but have heard much about both. When I saw this book with both authors, I thought, why not? Let me explain why not.

There is no plot or character development here. Lots and lots of descriptive sex and very minimal talking. Now, mind you, I don’t have a problem with that if that is what I’m expecting. From the title and the blurb, I was expecting a storyline. Nope.

Madison Atwood is seeking respite from her recent divorce and all the news coverage of her cheating Hollywood actor ex-husband. She books a 4 week stay at a spa resort way back in the California mountains. Only, she doesn’t want to be around all these people so she takes off on a trail by herself.

Luke Dawson spent several years in the military and supposedly returned with a severe case of PTSD. When he can no longer tolerate the sounds of the city, he escapes to a simple life in a log cabin up in the mountains. For the last 5 years, he’s been fine on his own.

Luke happens upon Madison as night is falling. Immediate attraction for both of course, but he knows she’s a city girl and he’s not looking to change his life or for any complications. He escorts her back to the resort and disappears. The next day she somehow manages to find his cabin and lots of sex ensues.

Too many issues that resolve miraculously. Lots of sex, very little talking, then HEA. Lots of potential that was never developed.

An absolutely wonderful, hot, sexy, romance between a sexy, alpha mountain man and a gorgeous city girl. I absolutely loved Luke and Madison's story from beginning to end! These two have sizzling chemistry and prove that opposites attract and if you want something bad enough and are willing to compromise you can make it work. A fantastic read!
