I did not make much progress with this book. For some reason it just did not appeal to me and I ended up abandoning it. I hoped to be able to come back and at least make some headway through it but was not able to do that. Sorry!

This is the second book in Jessica Lemmon's "Real Love" series and since I had already read the first book I had an idea what to expect from Grace and Davis in this one.
Grace is a wonderfully sassy and fiery redhead with a dismal dating history, she rarely makes it past date number three.
Davis on the other hand is a confident, somewhat cocky stock analyst, he is always immaculately dressed in a suit even though he works from home.
McGreevy's Bar where Grace is the bartender is Davis's evening hangout. It is where he comes to relax and hook up with a long string of blondes.
In truth Davis hasn't properly dated another woman since his fiancée Hanna (a redhead) deserted him on his wedding day several years ago and so when Grace questions him about "Why the long line of pastel-wearing, petite blondes?" He offers a wager and she counters with " I'll bet you one hundred dollars you won't ask out the next non blonde who approaches you". When he rolls his eyes in response to suggest that is way to easy, Grace replies "two hundred if she's a redhead". His cocky smile fades at that, but then Davis grabs Grace's wrist and says "I win".
Grace is alarmed but accepts the challenge and then is informed that Davis has 3 packages that he offers his dates: The Davis, The Davis Deluxe and the Platinum Davis (this part was just way too amusing).
I really did like the way the author handled this story and her characters have a lot of complexity. This has been an entertaining series so far and YES you can sign me up for book three "Man Candy".

Grace found a two dollar tip left for her on the bar and there was a phone number and the name Greg on one of the bills. Grace wondered if a guy really thought that worked on a bar mistress as Grace l8iked to be called and she worked at McGreevy’s Pub. Also Grace didn’t believe there was a real Mr. Right for a woman. Every relationship had an expiration date as far as Grace was concerned. Grace’s parents had been divorce lawyers and they were divorced then Grace’s dad took off and she tried but had no relationship with her dad that ended when he didn’t show up for her college graduation. Grace had worked at the pub since the beginning of summer. Davis comres in the pub most every day he asked they turned the tv to CNN instead of sports for him. He had a seat at the bar that he claimed as his own. Davis ordered a bottle of Sam Adams and kept his eyes to the tv in between trading barbs with Grace. Lately he has paid more attention to Grace then she likes. Grace is attracted to davis so she copes with that with antagonism. Davis wears his standard attire of a pressed expensive suit. Davis noticed when Grace had changed her hairstyle. Even if Grace and davis had more than a passing curiosity about each other Davis likes his women in pearls not rhinestones. Blondes not redheads, loose pastels not skin tight skinny jeans, and no ornamental piercings and tattoos and Grace had both. Little did Grace know she excited Davis but he didn’t like it. Davis had a brush with that type of danger and he didn’t want to get burnt again. Davis dates a lot and the women aren’t exciting and blonde. Grace is a redhead and exciting. There’s nothing controlled or routine about Grace. Grace is hot in such a way that a man could go blind in both eyes and still notice Grace. Nothing’s as attractive as the way Grace’s voice dips into a husky alto when she is serious and when she lilts into laughter when she is not. Davis can’t pound out the tension brewing brewing between them in a marathon of sweaty no-holds- barred sex so they pick on each other. Grace’s brand of fiery excitement and unpredictability could disturb the smooth surface of his carefully maintained Zen. That davis can’t allow, he plays by his own set of rules and has for some time. Grace strikes davis as a girl who couldn’t be boring if she tried. Davis had been engaged to Hanna who was a redhead and they were to marry but she left him while he was standing at the altar and she was forever gone. Grace bets Davis he won’t ask a redhead out and he turns around and asks Grace out who he calls Gracie. Davis had slept with Grace but didn’t spend the night as tomorrow was the day Davis makes a sandwich and remembered how Hanna liked Brie cheese and the memories hit him and that hadn’t happened in four years he thought that would have been the last time but apparently not. Gracie had let davis know she would be there if he needed someone to talk to if he wanted to. Then Davis’s friend Vice asked Grace the last time she had seen Davis. Later she gets a call from Vince that Davis is home and alright but wants to be alone. Grace is still worried and goes to Davis’s house and he was on his way out and not even drunk . then davis tells Grace he was on his way to find her Davis had decided to get over what had happened to him that day but six years ago . They had slept together two times when Davis started to talk after they had sexz and told Grace he was suppose to have been married six years ago and told her about Hanna and what had happened.
I loved this story. I loved the the pace and plot. I loved how Gracie and Davis’s feelings grew throughout the book. I loved how Grace and Davis were with each other before their first date. I loved how davis got the courage to back to the pub after Grace broke up with him and hurt him and went in even though Grace was on bar. Davis is a great character and my new book boyfriend. I loved how Vince and Davis were close and how they were with each other. I felt bad grace didn’t have a relationship with her dad until he was dying. This was an all around good read and actually seemed very realistic to me. I couldn’t find anything to complain about in this book and that is great. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend.

Bartender Grace Buchanan's personality is as brash as her red hair and tattoos. Not many can fluster or hold their own against her until she comes across Davis Price a devastatingly handsome Stock Analyst and bar regular with a wicked wit and bucket loads of self confidence. Grace interacts with Davis as if he is the last man on earth she would take seriously, forget about going on a date with, and Davis' penchant for enthusiastic blondes would seemingly put her out of the running with him. But when the the barely suppressed sexual tension between the two comes to a head one night and results in Grace challenging Davis to date a non-blonde things get complicated when the non-blonde he pursues is Grace.

Looks can be deceiving and Grace and Davis were a perfect example of this as their outer appearances and habits labeled them as a rebel and a corporate playboy. While Grace was edgy in appearance and shunned a nine to five lifestyle, Davis dressed in suits, despite working from home, and rigidly stuck to his schedule. But digging a little deeper and as the story expanded it became obvious that Davis was the more flexible and open minded one of this couple, in fact he was the real communicator of the two. When this dynamic came into play is when this work really took off. While this pairing showed all the signs of potentially being a perfect match their unresolved imperfect pasts was a huge stumbling point for them. Grace's growing up in a home where her parents dysfunctional relationship colored all of hers and Davis' being left at the altar by his ex-fiance represented serious impediments to these two finding and more importantly keeping love. Grace's tough exterior hid her insecurities while Davis had a quiet strength that his wisecracking banter veiled. In the end it was the exposure of these traits that spurred their complex feelings and opened up a world of possibilities.

Jessica Lemmon shows in book two of her Real Love series, Arm Candy, that she not only knows her characters but her audience! This author uses humor liberally in her work but that by no means lessens the serious feelings that are explored in her writing. There is nothing typical about Ms. Lemmon's portrayals even as she breaks them down to their most rudimental going to a place that her audience can emotionally find in common with her cast. The inclusion of seemingly innocent moments such as holding hands and cuddling while binging on Netflix made Grace and Davis you or I or any other couple in their familiarity. Her stories are personal and she speaks the universal language of love fluently leaving readers crying on one page and laughing on the next because real love survives the good, bad and everything in between in life. Don't expect fairy tales from Jessica Lemmon, even better she offers wonderful lemmon tales going to places we can all wrap our heads and hearts around. Arm Candy will make you feel like a reader in a bookstore, you don't want to miss out on this one!

If you're looking for a delicious, addictive, feel-good read that you'll want to devour like...well, like candy, Jessica Lemmon's got you covered. I feel like I'm just coming up for air after losing a good twenty-four hours in Davis and Grace's love story, and it feels so good!

And what a love story it is!

Like I said, it's a feel-good story, light and incredibly easy to read - but it doesn't come without it's share of emotional punches. Both Davis and Grace have some demons to conquer and my heart broke for both of them at various times throughout their story. However, one of the things I loved the most was how they communicated with each other and how they cared for each other. It was breathtaking sometimes. Completely rewarding and it did the most wonderful things to my heart.

This is the second book in the Real Love series and I'm definitely all-in for more of this fantastic storytelling and lovable characters who steal my heart. It's funny, sweet, swoony, sexy, with enough emotional angst to tug at my heart without killing my delightful book buzz. I absolutely loved it! ~ 4.5 Stars

Davis Price is intrigued by Grace Buchanan, even though she's a redhead and he's a man that usually dates blondes. However, when Grace proposes a bet that he date a non-blonde, he accepts by asking her out. Yet, the more time he spends with Grace, the more he finds himself falling for the feisty bartender. Will Davis be able to win Grace's heart, or will her past demons send her running from the man she's fallen in love with?

What do you get when a feisty bartender proposes a bet to a successful clean-cut gorgeous man? A wonderfully entertaining, engrossing and fast-paced read from start to finish that had me enjoying the main characters back stories, their growing relationship and their banter that had me loving the way the heroine challenges the hero. The way this story started had me liking the heroine immediately, as she's jaded when it comes to relationships because of her parents. Yet, I liked that she wasn't afraid to take a chance on Davis.

As for the dialogue, it was compelling and had me sympathizing with both the main characters when it comes to their back stories, as their pasts have made them shy away from giving happy ever after a chance. The hero was duped by his ex while the heroine has seen how bad marriage can be. Moreover, the heroine is feisty, independent, resilient and I liked how willing she was to give Davis a chance, even though relationships aren't her thing. I also liked the friendship she had with one of the secondary characters, because she helps the woman overcome her fears when her friend gets cold feet. While the hero, he's confident, hard-working and I loved the relationship he has with his grandmother; an elderly woman that lives life to the fullest and would do anything for her grandson. I also liked how willing the hero was to take a chance on Grace, even though it isn't easy for him after what happened with his ex and the reason why he only dated blondes up until Grace proposes the bet.

Overall, Ms. Lemmon has penned a fantastic read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was powerful; the romance full of exquisite heat and passion; and the ending had me loving the heroine's courage, because even though she knows how badly relationships can turn out, she's willing to take a chance on a future with Davis. Then again, love can be a powerful emotion and it's palpable she's so in love with the hero. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up brilliantly, because of what the heroine says to the hero about their future and what she hopes for. I would recommend Arm Candy by Jessica Lemmon, if you enjoy second chance romances or books by authors Lauren Layne, Jaci Burton, Katee Robert and Kelly Jamieson.

Davis and Grace are hot together!

Arm Candy is the second book in the Real Love series but it can be read as a standalone with no problem. The story is told in first-person POV, alternating between Davis and Grace. Like the first book, I had just a bit of trouble getting into this story and I think it's the first-person POV. It has never been my favorite POV to read and I think I must have to be in the right mood to really enjoy it.

After I got into the story I really enjoyed it. Davis frequents the bar where Grace works but she's not his type – or is she? Grace has watched Davis come and go with a flock of different blondes so she makes a bet with him that he won't ask out a woman who isn't blonde. Boy is she surprised when he takes her up on the bet and asks her out!

These two really throw sparks off of each other and their chemistry in the sack is off-the-charts hot. Davis has been burned badly by a woman in the past and he is surprised by how close he lets himself get to Grace and the things he reveals to her.

Grace is used to being let down by men so there's no way she's going to fall for Davis – until she does. Gradually she and Davis build a relationship but then she gets cold feet and things go all wrong.

I really enjoyed the witty banter between these two. Davis seems almost too good to be true and I hate the Grace can't seem to let herself completely trust him. This was an entertaining and mostly lighthearted story and I did end up enjoying it a lot. If first-person POV is your cup of tea you should really like this one.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Wow, I loved the chemistry between Davis and Grace, you could just feel that they were meant for each other and would work well together. It was just the getting to that point was the really difficult part! I really thought it would be Davis who would the one that backed away but Grace really had deep issues in her past that were hard to overcome.

It was so fun to watch them together with their sexy banter, and so hard to watch them apart and in pain. The book gives you such a range of emotions that you really "feel" like you are a part of their lives and draws you in. I was even surprised that I like Davis, the manwhore, as that type of character usually annoys me!

I did not read the previous book but want to see how Vince and Jackie became a couple and then loved the little bit about Grace's boss who will be the focus of the next book.

I found the storyline entertaining, the writing is well done and the characters were relatable, likable and had amazing chemistry.

I really enjoyed watching Davis and Grace's relationship unfold. They entertained me with their banter and touched me with their love. These two were perfect for each other and totally deserved their happily ever after.

Arm Candy is a fun, sweet and heartwarming read and I highly recommend it.

5 Gracie Lou stars!

I was so happy to read Davis's story and so lucky that it was before it's released (Thank you Loveswept).

I met Davis in Eye Candy and from the first moment, I knew that his story would be interesting but frankly it was more than interesting, it was unexpectedly heart melting.

4 Getting Clear of the Damage Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free
Jessica Lemmon is one smart cookie. She has come up with a fun, sexy, caring series. Using the phrases we all know of, like Eye Candy and now Arm Candy... she has set up her premises perfectly. She takes people who have past relationship issues and then matches them with the one who is capable to lead the both of them out of the darkness and into relationship light.

With this entry, we already have meet the major players. If you read the first book, than you will be very curious from what you saw...If you haven't read the first book, you are perfectly fine... and there watching all of this unfold... with a smile on your face.

Grace Buchanan is fantastic...Yup she really is. She one of the bartenders at a neighborhood happening place. She is comfortable in her own skin and getting there wasn't easy. She is a product of two divorce attorneys who stayed together until she turned 18 "Because of Her".

Note to the world... Do not "stay together for the sake of the kids" if the parents are going to yell, argue, never show up to the kid's important events. Because you are not doing anyone any favors. All you will do is cause a mother to serve her daughter repeatedly a cocktail of Marriage and Love is a Lie with a chaser of Bitterness.

See how I did that....

Anyway, this woman is cool; she has beautiful red hair and the freckles to prove it is real. She fills out her tshirts and jeans perfectly. Her eyes will sparkle if a comment or joke hits her right and she has built in radar which zeroes in on all the idiots that try to pick her up.

Grace is not looking for love; she barely believes in it. Her best friend seems to be in the throws of it... but that is not a natural occurrence. She doesn't mind looking at a fine specimen... she just has made it a practice to not be interested after the occasional gaze.

Grace is having an issue, though... it seems Davis Price has not only caught her eye... they have developed this type of dance...a type of banter. She is sarcastic and close to cutting... he has nicknamed her Gracie Lou... Who does that...and why does her heart do a little flip when he does.

Davis Price enjoys the banter he has with Grace. He won't admit it anyone, but bantering with her is one of the highlights of his very organized life. Davis is a powerhouse when it comes to finance. He works from his home office but you would never know it. He dresses as if he was going to an office on Wall Street. Yes, the impeccable suit, imported fine leather shoes, perfectly pressed oxford shirt is the uniform he wears everyday in his home office.

He clocks in from early AM to 5PM and is on his stool in front of Grace most nights. Now Davis has made it a practice of doing Blond Hook ups... which have no meaning. He is charming, good-looking so there is no effort on his part... he just has to choose... and it is always the same... A Barbie Clone.

He does this for a reason... He had a very distressing experience with a redhead... and swore to stay away...So his interest in Grace can go nowhere... But Damn if there isn't a sexual itch that needs scratching...

Both of them decided to scratch and it is only the question of what level of intensity...

I certainly enjoyed this book. I liked the dynamics of it all... the conflicts and backstories of both characters. Both had their reasons for being the way they were...skittish... And both were really good for each other.

There is another entry coming and I will be right there for it when it arrives. Naturally it is called Man Candy!

Arm Candy is another excellent story from Jessica Lemmon!

Davis and Grace are absolutely perfect together and I loved their witty, sexy dialogue throughout the entire book. While I thought Davis may rub me the wrong way in this book, I was very pleasantly surprised that he turned out to be the quintessential book boyfriend! I adore Grace, full of life, sexy and can take as good as she gets. She knows what she wants! Arm Candy is fun, spicy and will definitely warm your heart! I truly loved this book and highly recommend it!!

Arm Candy by Jessica Lemmon is just the kind of romance you'll want to pick up if you're looking for something lighthearted, sexy, and relatively low on angst. I've read a few of her previous books in other series and enjoyed them so with the cover and synopsis snagging my attention, and knowing she writes standalones in series well, I started in on book 2 of the Real Love series with high hopes. I am very happy with the result.

Grace Buchanan is a bartender at McGreevy's Pub. She's well suited to the job and truth be told isn't looking for any other kind of career. She loves chatting with the regulars, is good at fending off over amorous suitors and is happy with her single life. Her divorced parents (both, coincidentally divorce lawyers themselves) have soured her on the idea of happy ever afters so she's definitely not looking for anyone – even if one of her patrons keeps catching her eye.

Davis Price is the kind of guy who likes to follow a schedule. He works from home as a stock analyst and even there sticks to regular hours, wearing his suit and tie and clocking out at 5pm, most often to head to McGreevy's. He won't admit that he's lonely, but he needs some company after spending those working hours all alone. He's always well dressed, makes Grace turn the TV above the bar to CNN (she usually does it when she sees him anyway), and verbal sparring with the fiery redhead (who changes shades on a surprisingly frequent basis) is undeniably one of the highlights of his day. He can make millions in a few hours (and often does) but the friendly down home atmosphere of the pub is more to his liking than a snobby restaurant. Just like his work schedule, his dating life is organized too– blondes only, few repeats. Predictability never breeds excitement. Grace on the other hand is never predictable.

A discussion between Grace and Davis on Davis's penchant for petite blondes leads to a discussion on his 'type' and then a bet and next thing you know, Grace is reluctantly agreeing to a date with Davis. Like all other things in his life, even his dating life has rules – he offers three packages to a potential partner: The Davis, the Davis Deluxe, and The Platinum Davis. Each has specific options. Sexting for example is only allowed as part of the deluxe package. When Gracie decides she wants the Platinum, Davis is delighted and proceeds to show her the best dating time of her life. Content at the start with a temporary arrangement, what will happen when one of them decides they want more?

Everyone deserves a date with a man like Davis, at least once in their life! He's almost too good to be true, a gentleman in every sense of the word. He's got manners, he's got charm, he's caring and protective, he's a generous lover – really, he's the full package. It's no wonder that the blondes he meets and treats so well are always after a repeat, a fact that Grace had often noticed at the pub with a twinge of jealousy even before she and Davis made their bet. Now she knows why, and it's a good thing this agreement with Davis has an end date because it would be really easy to fall for a guy like him, a fact that causes Grace some anxiety when she and Davis start to go beyond the bounds of their initial agreement. The sexual chemistry between them leads to some steamy scenes and the realization for both of them that it's not going to be so easy to turn that off and go back to just being friends.

The story is told in first person from both points of view. Though I'm more used to that in a new adult novel, it really works well here, giving insight into both of their characters. There is a good balance of humorous introspection and banter between Grace and Davis, and as a result, plenty of laugh out loud moments for the reader. They are both really likable characters which makes their relationship quite fun to watch develop. Davis and Grace have both been hurt before in their personal lives and have some baggage to contend with that affects how they view this relationship and the choices they make.

Davis's best friend Vince cautions him from moving too fast and these conversations between the guys are equally delightful as they have that 'bro-mance' quality where they can tease each other, and still give serious advice. Family plays an important role too, and we get some scenes with Davis's grandmother who raised him (she's a hoot!), and Grace's estranged father who has cancer also makes an appearance. Here the story veers into more emotional territory, and the surprising strength of Davis and Grace's feelings towards each other in a short time also makes for some teary-eyed moments. Even with these scenes however the overall tone of the story is light and leans towards the romantic comedy side.

Grace and Davis have ample reasons not to trust that what they are experiencing is the real deal. They have to work through some of their issues, separately and together to get their happy ever after, but it comes with the knowledge that what they've found is worth the risks. Arm Candy is a sexy romance that is going on my re-read shelf, with a sigh of envy for Grace having found a partner like Davis.

We found out all about the sleek, suit wearing Davis Price in Jessica Lemmon's first book of the "Real Love" series, "Eye Candy". Now we finally get to find out why Davis has such a penchant for petite blondes and why he's running away from redheads like they're the plague. Especially one feisty and sexy bartender whom he just can't seem to keep his eyes off. Will Davis finally get over his fixation on one-night-stands with uncomplicated, dainty blondes or will he finally give in to his attraction to Grace?

Grace Buchanan loves her job. She may have studied business, but she loves to be able to socialise with people. And what better way to do that than behind a bar? She can figure out people pretty well. But there is one regular at her bar that she just can't seem to solve and that is Davis Price. With their on-going banter and mutual attraction, it seems that a fling in unavoidable. And what they find between the sheets is nothing short of explosive!

Davis Price has been burned before. Being jilted on his wedding day by his red haired fiancée, he is avoiding redheads and going for safe, uncomplicated blondes. Grace is nothing like the girls he goes for, she is opinionated, sassy, tattooed and just might be the sexiest girl that he has ever laid eyes on. So when she dares him to ask out a non-blonde, Davis jumps at the challenge.

Will these two commitment phobes give each other a chance to find happiness? Another fun, entertaining and sensual read by Jessica Lemmon! Can't wait to see the girl who will capture Dax's heart!

Davis likes control and not taking chances. As a stock analyst, he has to take a few chances, but never life altering ones. He works 8-5, never over. He wears a suit and tie to work at home because he feels that people can "sense" his professionalism, therefore placing their trust in him. Was he always this way? No. After being a jilted groom, he stopped taking chances. He even dated the same type of women--blonde, tiny, and not too bright. Until Gracie Lou...

Grace is a sassy bartender who enjoys life. She never gets too serious about life or love as her parents bitter divorce soured her on the idea of "happily ever after". Grace has a law degree and parents who are successful lawyers, but that doesn't make her happy. So she lives her life as a bartender, happy. Until she meets Davis...

Davis is a regular at the bar where she works. She enjoys sparing with him, but doesn't understand why he's so focused on blondes. One evening, Grace challenges Davis to ask someone out who's not a blonde. Davis turns it around on her and asks her out. Shocked, she agrees. Davis even offers her a "package"--a certain amount of dates and things they can do on said dates. But when the allotted time is up, they walk away. They begin as friends, but it quickly turns into more with neither one knowing if they can walk away....

Davis is absolutely swoon-worthy!!! He has the patience of a Saint too. Davis is the kind of guy I dream about whisking me off my feet! He has a super cool grandma that is wickedly smart, kind, and loving. He takes care of his grandma, his clients, his friends, and Gracie Lou. I only wish I had a Davis! He's my new favorite book boyfriend oozing confidence and sexiness! Gracie Lou is feisty, red-headed, and unpredictable. Not exactly what Davis thinks he's looking for, but is. I really enjoyed this novel. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

We meet Davis and Grace in Eye Candy and you could feel the tension between them. Well the tension just intensifies in this book until neither one can ignore it. This was a cute story but at times it did seem to drag on and I had to skim some parts. I loved Davis but Grace did get on my nerves because her indecisiveness was annoying.
