I Loved this book. We get to meet both Davis and Grace in Eye Candy and now we get their story.
Davis has been hurt and doesn't do relationships any more. but there is something about the redhead at his favorite bar that he can't keep away from. From one date to being a couple things between Grace and Davis move fast . and when Grace finds out why Davis is the way his is she has to decided if she wants to stay and fight.

Really loved this book.

Emma Chase fans will likely really enjoy this one, folks. It has the same writing style vibe featuring off the charts steamy attraction and back and forth, funny, flirty, first person banter between two skeptical/doubting Thomas’ when it comes to forever love main couple. This time around both Davis and Grace, the hero and heroine, think they know the score when it comes to playing the non-dating game and what not to expect. What they didn’t plan on, however, is what would happen when they finally meet their match...each other. Btw, rumor has it they were sub-characters in the first book, Eye Candy, which I have not read.

What we get here are:

Davis - Handsome, sexy, stock market analyst, always wears suits, only pursues blondes because he hasn’t let go of the past, just looking for fun with no commitment. He’s funny, charming, and falls for Grace in a very big way. He’s loved and lost once and that isn’t something he ever plans to repeat.

Grace - Gorgeous, red-headed, pierced/tattooed bartender who has watched Davis take home one too many one night stand blondes at the bar she manages. She decides to finally call him out on his flirtatious game of catch and release while having a little fun of her own. She is even more afraid of committing her heart than Davis, due to some family baggage she’s still lugging around.

Well, it is all fun and games until the time comes to “go the distance” and put it all on the line. When one of them wimps out and takes a dive, it seems they may be down for the count and their self-filling prophecies might start to come true. If you want to know what happens next, well, my fellow romance book loving friends, you’ll have to read it yourself. My lips are sealed. Just know there is a HEA at the end of this romantic tale rainbow.

Title: Arm Candy, Series: Real Love (Book 2), Author: Jessica Lemmon, Pages: 217, stand-alone but part of a series, hero is with OW after meeting heroine, both don’t believe in love and only do casual hook-ups, very steamy scenes, comes to their senses, VERY steamy scenes.

Book 1 - Eye Candy (Vince & Jackie), 7/25/17, Pages: 229
Book 2 - Arm Candy (Davis & Grace), 9/5/17, Pages: 217
Book 3 - Man Candy (Dax & Becca), 1/9/18

4 It's the Best Last Call Stars!!!

I have a new Book Boyfriend and his name is Davis Price!! I didn't think it was possible for me to love a book couple more but Ms. Lemmon has given them to us in Arm Candy!

What starts off as a bet, becomes so much more and talk about polar opposites. Davis is not the type Grace is normally attracted to and she gets her fair share being the bartender that she is, and Davis has never, and I mean never, been attracted to, let alone dated a woman like Grace...she's tatted up, has a nose ring, well you get the picture.

But sometimes as we all know once you meet "the one" you'll find a way to work around all the things you thought you didn't want to get to the one you really want. I laughed out loud on more than one occasion and even had my heart crying a little for the heartbreak that Davis suffered a few years ago which keeps him from committing to one single woman again. Until Grace!

I loved everything about this book...the sassiness of Grace, the buttoned-up-ness of Davis, the pace worked just right for me, the secondary characters were a hoot and it's just an all-around great story. I can't wait for book 3 in this series!

4 1/2 STARS!

Delectably tantalizing! She's a feisty give-as-good-as-she-gets bartender, he's an uptight Wallstreet type of guy who goes through women like water. Together, they're pretty amazing! I enjoyed the first book in the series, but Davis and Gracie ... they're pretty special and made me love book two even more than book one! Can't wait to see what Jessica Lemmon has in store for us with the next one!

Davis Price spends a lot of time at his favorite hangout, McGreevy's Pub, and one of the reasons is how much fun he has flirting and being shot down over and over by the bartender. She's a smokin' hot red-head, but he's only into blondes these days.

Grace Buchanon pegged Davis as a player the first time she saw him take one of his petite blondes home from the bar. He might flirt with her, but it's all innocent fun. He's not interested in her. She's not petite, she's not blonde, and she won't sit meekly and bat her eyelashes like his flavor of the night always does!

When a bet turns upside down, Davis and Grace actually agree to go out with each other ... one date, and hot night of sex turns into another ... and another ... and another!

Okay have to say when Jessica Lemmon first showed us Davis Price in Eye Candy I didn't like him. Yet in his own book we see a different side of Davis Price that Jessica Lemmon hid from her readers. On the outside he is a womanizer with only preference to blondes and brunettes never a redhead. Nobody knows why he choose this way when it comes to his conquests but only one woman has come real close to a heart that Davis has guarded all these years. Grace Buchanan is nothing like the other women Davis has met and this is what makes this relationship unique and in a way crazy. I loved that we see a part of Davis nobody see's, vulnerability which have to thank Grace for bringing this out. The chemistry they have together is not just about sex and passion but what completes them in every way. All in all it was exactly what we needed to see what made this man tick and Jessica Lemmon once again shined till the end. Loved it.

Wonderful sexy story with great characters! I really enjoyed this book, the interactions between Gracie and Davis begin like water and oil (both had their reasons for standing back) then when they finally connect, wow wee, it's hot and still fun! Davis was dumped at the alter by a redhead, hence the need to date anything but redheads, but the attraction is strong. Grace, a redhead, has labeled Davis a manwhore after seeing him leave with every blonde that came through the bar where she worked so when she finds herself attracted to him she fought to keep those feelings down. Coming from a broken home, her mother a divorce lawyer and her father leaving his law job as well as their family doesn't bode well for her having thoughts of relationships or commitment but when Davis charms his way under her skin, even hot, sexy relationships don't always go smoothly. When things turn more serious both had second thoughts on how deep they really want to go.

A fun, hot sexy read full of wonderful characters equal a great read!

I really liked this book, probably more than the first one. I loved the characters, the story and the emotions. I hope the next one comes out soon!

Straight-laced, playboy Davis Price meets his match is sassy, redhead sassy Grace Buchanan in Jessica Lemmon’s Arm Candy. After months of flirting and verbal foreplay, Grace and Davis cannot deny their combustible chemistry and agree to a no-emotion fling. Best laid plans are squashed when feelings come into play, but both have relationship issues that make them resistant to getting emotionally involved, especially Grace. They’re both likable and relatable character. Lemmon’s signature fun banter and charming writing are throughout this fun romance, and it’s easy to recommend if you’re looking for a lighthearted and sexy read.

Grace Buchanan enjoys her nightly banter with regular bar customer Davis Price. He’s an uncomplicated and unapologetic man whore, and when she makes an innocent bet for him to go out with someone who isn’t his usual type, she gets a lot more of Davis than she bargained for.

Davis Price has been there, done that with serious relationships… and red heads. So when a certain bartender comments on his blond only dating habits, he decides an easy way to prove her wrong is to ask out the redhead in question.

What starts out as a temporary fling with a lot of ground rules, the twos anti-relationship ideals take a back seat to their very real feelings for each other… but can a leopard ever really change it’s spots?

This book was delightful! I truly liked Davis and Grace… after a lot of banter and sexual tension build up from Davis’ frequent stops at Gracie’s bar, they decide to finally give in to their mutual attraction, While they both view their time together as temporary, they kind of just fall into this symbiotic relationship they didn’t see coming. But at the heart of it they both have pasts they need to overcome that are coloring their views on long term relationships and putting themselves out there.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

The storyline between Grace and Davis was well written and worth reading. I whole heartedly recommend this book. I give this book 5 stars. Grace is a Bartender and Davis is a stock analysts. Davis is a customer at the bar where Grace works. Davis like alway goes out with blonds, when Grace calls him on it, they challenge each other and end up going on a date. This is a must read book. I voluntarily reviewed this NetGallery Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Charming, romantic and witty!

Arm Candy is a classic, opposites attract rom-com between the quirky, impeccably dressed Davis who has sworn off redheads and relationships, and the spunky, fiery Grace who has made turning down men a challenge and an art form in a tale about learning to trust, support, and commit.

The writing is fluid and crisp. The characters, including all the supporting characters, are engaging, lovable, and fun. And the plot is a wonderful combination of light drama, sexy innuendoes, smoking chemistry, and delicious heat.

Arm Candy is the second novel in the "Real Love" series, and it was everything I was hoping for and more. In a time when contemporary romance novels seem weighed down with angst, it was exceptionally nice to read something lighter with snappy dialogue, lots of laughs, and genuine characters.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House - Loveswept for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Such an enjoyable read! The story line is delightful as Davis and Grace are attracted to one another but afraid to commit. They are strong, determined individuals but both have been hurt before. Can they take a chance at love? A must read.

A few weeks ago I read Eye Candy, the first book in the series. At the time I was quite disappointed with the book and I gave it a really low rating but since I had already requested the second book in the series, Arm Candy, I ended up giving it another chance. Good thing I did it because I ended up loving this book way more than the first one.

Once again, I really enjoyed the writing in this one. I loved how distinct Davis and Grace's voice were and how easily this book flew. This had been one of the few things I had liked in the first book so it was great to see that Jessica Lemmon is such a great writer.

Here's the thing, my big problem in the first book were the characters. I didn't like the main characters at all and they frustrated me a lot. I can tell you that that's something that hasn't happened in this one because I ended up loving both Davis and Grace. I'll be honest here and say Davis was my favorite but they were such amazing characters. Davis was such a great character. In the beginning he was broken due to stuff that had happened in his life but once he realized how he felt about Grace he was into it and never doubted about his feelings fo her. I'm so used to see the guys having the cold feet that it's a breath of fresh air when that doesn't happen. Grace was also such a great character. I loved her. Unlike Davis she had her doubts about their relationship (and at one point I was mad at her for that) but she never had the best role models so it was easy to realize why she acted that way. She was still such a great girl. She was strong and independent and she really knew what she wanted from her life. I loved that about her. They were also super cute together. I loved that once they were with each other they were with each other for real and I loved that they about their past struggles in the beginning of their relationship not hiding anything (see Vince and Jackie... this is how it's done... you talk about stuff!!). They were so adorable together and had such great chemistry that it was impossible not to love them.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. To be honest I was quite scared when I first read my first Jessica Lemmon book because I didn't enjoy it at all but now I can see that was kind of a fluke because Arm Candy was great. I loved the characters, the plot the relationship they had with each other and with their friends/family. It was an enjoyable read and I can't wait to read more things from the author.

Davis has gone through a pretty serious break up. Like, left-at-the-altar-by-the-love-of-his-life kind of serious break up. And so he obviously goes for the safe tactic of casual 'dating', if you may. He's a pretty successful work-at-home businessman who enjoys his free time at a local bar where this redhead with-too-many-piercings-to-count bartends. He tries his best to fight his fascination and his attraction to her but eventually fails.

Meet Grace, a girl who basically lost her faith in true love after her parents had to 'stay' together after they had her. So she basically got to witness what it was like to live with parents who couldn't stand each other. That said, she doesn't do relationships. Until she meets Davis.

We know how the story goes from there. Fear of commitment and relationships, which involves lots and lots of breaking up and making up. Don't get me wrong, I love that trope. But it felt like there should've been something on the side. A twist, another trope, etc...
So overall, this book was okay. I enjoyed the bickering and the taunting between Grace and Davis. Definitely pick it up if you're in the mood for a quick, sweet, funny, and steamy read!

Arm Candy surprised me. When I sat down to read, I expected humor and I got that. What I didn't expect was the sweet story that unfolded in this romance. Davis and Grace each have their own issues about relationships and the one thing they agree on is that neither of them want one - until they do. The story has a good, steady pace and while their is some angst, the levity throughout lightens things up. The characters are interesting and so well developed, even the secondary characters were likable and made me want to know more about them. Davis and Grace have great chemistry and are so good together and their banter was witty and fun. I found myself at least chuckling and even laughing out right, but I have to say that my favorite part of the dialogue was Davis' speech at the end. When I have big, happy tears rolling, the author has certainly done her job. This is my first read by Jessica Lemmon, but it certainly won't be my last. She's woven a romantic tale that made me laugh, cry, and even had me fuming at a couple of characters. Arm Candy is emotional, funny, sweet, and oh so sexy. It's one that I can easily recommend to anyone who enjoys the genre.

Dear Jessica Lemmon,

How, HOW do you keep writing the best possible book boyfriends? How am I supposed to pick one? Well, I refuse to pick and I am just going to keep reading your books, because each is better than the last (seriously, HOW do you keep doing this???)

Arm Candy was absolutely not what I thought it was going to be...and at the same time, it was.

Ms. Lemmon has a style of writing that makes you laugh while you are crying and vice versa. I think, at least for me, this is the appeal. At first glance, her books are a light read...but then you start them, and you are crying, your heart is breaking, and you are laughing...wondering where that light read went...until it appears again, and there is a phrase that just makes you laugh.

Davis is so perfect. I loved all of his little quirks and contradictions, the way he dresses for work in his home office is so telling about who he is on the outside, the inside, and the importance he places on appearances, about looking a certain way, and about being a certain way.

Until he meets Grace and she is none of those things. She isn't what he thinks he wants, she doesn't fit the mold. More importantly, she doesn't fit with what he thinks he should want, so he fights the attraction...her hair is the wrong color, she has the wrong job...he fights it.

And, then he takes a bet. Not because he can't back down, but because it is an excuse. Davis can let himself want Grace, because the date wasn't his idea...it was a bet. It's his cover, his rationale, and the way he talks himself into it being ok to be with her. I loved how incredibly relate-able this is...I think we all have something that we would do, in a heartbeat, if we could place the blame (or at least the catalyst) for doing it on someone else. Davis is no fool and he jumps at the chance.

The rest of the book is them working it out, learning about themselves while figuring out the other person and learning how to make things work and the value of putting in the effort when you find that one person who just gets you. There are some dips, and some things that happen that are very real life, but I loved how each event worked to further the story and to let you get to know Davis and Grace just a little more with each event.

Remember how I said she didn't fit the mold for Davis? No problem, she breaks it apart until there's nothing left but dust. And, it's quite a ride. I recommend this title.

Guys, I enjoyed this book way more than the first one, Eye Candy. Again, the writing was fantastic, but this time, the story and the characters were great too.

David was great, I really liked how he put himself out there and fought for what he wanted, even though he had been burned before, and had all the reasons not to risk his heart. He was sweet and caring, and not afraid of his feelings, and I loved him for that. Grace was a bit more skittish, and she has a lot more issues, but she trusted Davis and they were so good for each other.

I really liked the romance and the relationship, it was sweet, and I enjoyed that it developed slowly. But I sort of expected the banter to be a little more pronounced throughout the book, even when they got together. But there was no doubt that they were perfect for each other, and they had amazing chemistry.

I loved how sweet and romantic this book was, even through the hard times, but I did feel like some plot lines could have been explored a little bit more. But overall, a very very enjoyable book, that I highly recommend.

Davis Price and Grace Buchanan are like chalk and cheese. He's suit and tie, she's ripped jeans and a tattoo. But one thing they have in common is chemistry! When their banter finally results in them going on a date they find that in spite of a bone deep cynicism and crappy pasts, they have the potential for an amazing future together providing they don't screw it up!

This book surprised me. I knew I'd like it (Jessica Lemmon is a great writer and I've enjoyed other books she's written) but I had no idea how much I'd love it! Davis and Gracie were wonderful! In Eye Candy we were introduced to them both, but Davis in particular didn't make that great an impression. He was a great friend, but as a future love interest I was a little underwhelmed. I was very, very wrong! He was adorable. He was sweet, funny, romantic, kind and always gave as good as he got in the banter department!

Grace was the perfect foil for him. She too was sexy, funny and sweet and the banter she shares with Davis was hilarious! I loved the way they were both willing to make themselves vulnerable once they realised that the relationship was becoming unexpectedly serious.

The writing was, as always, first rate and I'm eagerly waiting the release of Man Candy next year. Highly recommended!

Arm Candy is a fun sexy read that I truly adored. I loved these characters and all the snarky banter that goes on between them.

Davis Price definitely has a type and the feisty barb throwing bartender at his favorite pub sure isn't it. So why does she intrigue him so much?? When Grace points out to him he only seems to date blonds and dares him to ask out the next non=blonde he sees, he quickly turns the tables on her and asks Grace out. That's when the fun really begins!

Don't miss this one, it's a must read.

“I never want to forget the way it felt when you told me you loved me.”

Davis Price. Yes, please. I’ll have the Platinum times infinity, thanks.  Want to know what I mean? Then, grab a copy of Arm Candy by Jessica Lemmon. For Davis, and for reasons other than Davis.

This book a mix of light, breezy, feel-goodness and heart-achy sadness, and it’s just wonderful. Immensely enjoyable and incredibly easy to read. I really enjoy the way Ms. Lemmon writes. It’s personable and engaging, and makes me feel very much like I’m in the story—or, at the least, desperately want to be. I’d love to hang out at the bar with Davis and Gracie Lou. Their banter was so good on the page, I can only imagine what seeing it IRL would like…

But I digress. I could probably write paragraph after paragraph about this book; focusing on things like manwhore Davis’ hidden swoony side and sassy Grace’s deep vulnerability. But instead, I’ll boil it down to as few words as possible (said by someone who is a known over-explainer, LOL):

This is book will charm you, amuse you, arouse you and make you smile. It might have a few bumps and humps along the way, but they’re worth it for the end result—time with Davis Price.

She's happy. I think I'd do just about anything to make this woman happy.

~ 4.5 Bubbly STARS ~
