The Kavanagh Legend series just keeps getting better and better!
After a terrible motorcycle accident that almost took his life, Quinn struggles with the fact that his life will never be as it once was. When, his physical therapist turns out to be the woman who broke his heart years before, he has to figure out what to do with all the feelings he's kept buried since she left.
It's no surprise that Quinn and Keira's story had me laughing and crying. Sarah Robinson is always good at fueling the emotional fire. I can't wait for more! 5 stars.
Perfection! There are some books you read and when you're done you say "that was good." Then there are those that you keep in your head for a few days (or longer), this book is the later. Their story is phenomenal.
This is Quinn and Kiera. They have history. Young love and what a love it was. When Kiera picks up and leaves for college without a peep Quinn is devastated. He emerges himself in the family business, managing everything, along with his father. He's got a great head for business. During the time Kiera is away, babies are born, brothers are married or have partners and then there's Quinn.
Quinn rides his much loved Ducati and on the way to his Mum's for Sunday dinner he's seriously injured in an accident. His life is changed in many ways and when he gets to rehab, he meets with his new therapist there. Which happens to be Kiera; doing her internship there. She's studying to be a Dr in Physical Therapy.
Obviously neither were prepared to see each other again unexpectedly and Quinn's initial anger while understandable still threw me a little. Kiera's concern was getting him back on his feet again while tending to the relationship aspect as well. Quinn slowly lets her back in, carefully and slowly. The family welcomes her back into the fold with open arms, they are a warm and loving tribe and I love them! I love the wisdom that pours from both parents. Especially their Mum. She's quite the character. The main thrust of the book is the evolution of Quinn and Kiera's relationship and where it was in the past, present and perhaps the future. I can't really say, you'd have to read the book.
This is probably my favorite book to date. There is so much emotion packed into this one that just places the reader right into the story. Meanwhile flipping pages like the mad hatter. Sarah's books are always above and beyond well done. Her plot lines are solid and her characters are living and breathing people, larger than life. I am anxious to see what she has in store for us next! I don't think we've seen the last of the brothers!
**arc from NetGalley and Loveswept in exchange for a fair review**
It was great to be back with the Kavanagh Clan, Chasing a Legend is book 4 in the series and it takes place 3 years on from the previous books, life has moved on for the Kavanagh's there's been a marriage and baby and now we get Quinn's story.
Quinn Kavanagh has always been in the thick of the family but when he is involved in a bad accident he needs to get his life back together and when he starts his physiotherapy he can't believe who is doctor is. Keira Finley was the girl who broke his heart when she left without even saying goodbye and now here she is teaching him how to walk and exercise again. Has fate given Quinn and Keira a second chance at love ......
I loved Quinn and Keira's story it wasn't just about second chance romance, it's also about family and making decisions that may change your life and take you out of the family nest. As always the Kavanagh Clan feature a lot in this book and I can't wait to see who's story we get next.
Great read
If you like your heroes dark, strong, protective, fierce and loyal than the Kavanaghs are your kind of men. This Irish family of five boys and one girl will draw you in from the very first book. "Chasing a Legend" is the fourth book of this highly addictive series and like the three books before it, it is both highly emotional and very sensual.
I have been anxiously waiting to read about Quinn. Unlike his older brothers he isn't a professional fighter. He is the guy behind the scenes, the one that manages his brothers and is the secret to the Kavanagh's success. With his tattoos and piercings and his brooding presence, I have been waiting to read his story. Fans of the series already know Kiera and that she is the one that has held Quinn's interest. Well, we finally get to find out what actually happened between the two. This book picks up three years after the last one and even though there are some changes, the Kavanaghs are still boisterous, warm, loving and fierce as ever.
On his way to support his brother Kane in another fight, Quinn has a motorcycle accident that nearly costs him his life. With burns and broken bones he is in severe pain. That is until he meets his physical therapist and discovers that she is the one woman that he has never been able to forget or get over.
Dr. Kiera Finley has come back home to Woodlawn and is doing her residency there. It has been six years since she left her hometown and her best friend Quinn. Quinn was always her protector. Three years her senior, he never let anyone mess with her and get away with it. But their friendship took a turn for the unexpected when she asked him to help with the little issue of her virginity before she left for collage in Seattle. Even though it might have been a fun way to say goodbye to him, it meant a whole lot more to Quinn and he is determined to never find himself in such a vulnerable position ever again.
I have to say that it was very refreshing to see the hero, for once, being the one to hold a torch and not be able to forget the heroine. Usually we see the heroine being left behind and not being able to forget the love of her life. What was even more surprising was seeing a guy like Quinn being so vulnerable and emotional. Quinn Kavanagh, with his dark looks, tattoos and brooding attitude, just may be the perfect man. Not to mention the fact that he also happens to make sculptures and even jewelry from scrap metal.
Having said that, I wasn't exactly a fan of Kiera or Keeks as Quinn likes to call her. I found her to be too self centered and immature. I can't understand how somebody can be so clueless about the feelings of someone that she literally spent her whole childhood with - not to mention gave her virginity to. Maybe it's just jealousy talking, but I really don't understand what Quinn sees in her, he can really do so much better than Kiera. Like always, it was a pleasure to be in the company of the Kavanaghs. Every time I read one of these books I feel like I am right there with them, like I am invited to one of their famous Sunday lunches. I wonder if the next book in the series will be about Casey or Jimmy. Can't wait!!!
I cannot believe that this is the first Sarah Robinson book I have read so I know now how I have missed out especially on all the other Kavanagh Legends. You can bet they are all on my TBR now though!!!
I adored this sweet, heartwarming yet sometimes heartbreaking story about second chances. In this case second chances mean more than just at love for Quinn Kavanagh; it means at life as well and what he does with it. This man is so much more than meets the eye and clearly such a beautiful soul. He is so loyal to his family so he has been hiding a very special part of himself that should not be hidden. He is just so incredibly swoonworthy. I just love this loud, fun , loving and supportive Kavanagh family and can't wait to go back and read the other books!!
After his tragic motorcycle accident it is many months before Quinn can even begin PT and when he does he is shocked to see who his PT doc is. It is none other than the girl he has loved forever only now she is a woman. Seeing Kiera Finley again, or Keeks as he calls her, brings all of those feelings back to the surface, only she left him 6 years ago without even so much as a goodbye after one incredible night where their friendship became more. But now she is back. She came back.
Can they take this second chance and turn it into a lifetime of love? So many moments in this book made me cry, laugh and swoon. Even though I haven't read the other books in this series I don't feel like it took away from this story for me at all. It was fantastic!!
This is book #4 in the series and it is about Quinn Kavanagh who is also the manger for his brother and has helped his father bring the gym back from nothing. Now leaving the gym he is hit by a car on his motorcycle and after weeks in the hospital and multiple surgeries, and broken bones he is able to start physical therapy. Still in constant pain he is hoping for any type of relief. The first day at therapy he is taken back when his doctor is none other than Kiera Finely, now Doctor. He has not seen her really in six years. Occasionally when she would come back to the neighborhood he would distant himself. Now she is doing her medical residency there locally, and not on the West coast. He is surprised as well as she is and from there moments of awkwardness continue from day to day until one day when he needs a ride to the hospital for the birth of one of his brother’s children. Then his mother seeing her and it is an invite to Sunday dinner where after everything is going good, someone lets it be known that he was in love with her and he was a mess for three weeks after she left six years ago. Now he does not stand a chance because she decides to move in with him and give it a go. She also finds out that he is a lot more than fighting. He is also an artist sculpting metal pieces into works of art. She gets someone from a gallery to look at some of his work and low and behold he is good and is going to be having some pieces put in the gallery for an upcoming show. Now when everything is going good for them the one place she wanted to go to has sent her an acceptance, but it is Washington State. He lets her go. But does he follow her this time? Will he be the first Kavanagh to leave the neighborhood? Read this excellent story and find out.
This was my favorite of the series. Kiera & Quinn were likable characters and while some may not like the sappy aspect of this read, for me it made for a nice change. Loved their HEA!
I just love this family and series. They are just an amazing and loving family. Kiera and Quinn were just perfect. I love second chance at love stories and I've read plenty, this one has hit my top favorite list. Quinn was awesome, I just loved him. I loved how he showed his vulnerable side and we got to see his feelings. He didn't hide them, it was amazing. Kiera was just as amazing, she was strong and independent. She went after what she wanted. When it comes time for her to make a decision about her job, will she make the right one? Will they be able to figure it out and how to be together? You will have to read it to find out. I loved this book and I can't wait for more from this family.
4 It's Always Been You Stars
* * * *
How hard it must be to find Your Person when you are young...There can be at first this ease and wonder... and then the developing of understanding... there might be something serious going on between you...But when you realize this is LOVE...it can either be the most wonderful thing ever with a HEA already to happen...or it could be the wrong timing...because at 18...the world is out there with all of the dreams and goals your had dreamed of... waiting to take place....
In this 4th installment of the Kavanagh Legends series and Sarah Robinson has brought us right back into the fold of this intense, heartfelt clan. This time we are on Quinn's journey and we have been waiting for this for sometime...
For Quin has been the backbone, the one who was able to save the family's business when things looked the darkest. He has always felt his place was to be there and protect... do as his father wished and hold back any other dreams he may have had...
Because Quinn had a secret he had been holding back from the family....not something he felt they would ever accept or respect... it didn't fit the Kavanagh mold... but it gave him his release and purpose deep down...He would do it just for the pleasure of doing it... even if it never was shared with anyone.
Quinn also had another secret he kept close to the chest...he never got over his first love, his best friend, Kiera.
Together, when they were "Just Friends, they were attached at the hip. He was her confidant, her "person" who would listen and always be there for her. Little did Kiera realize like many young women, her best buddy, her savior in many ways, was head over heels in love with her from the start... and hid it so as not to ruin what they had...
Kiera was raised in a way which made making it on her own the mantra... to not let any man halt her desires or goals... She learned this from her mother's constant warnings from her own life.... and when Kiera and Quinn have a fateful and astounding experience together...Kiera sees what was before her all along... Quinn's love and hers as well...
It scares the hell out of her...She cannot go down this path...She cannot have any attachments or this scary HEA in her life at 18...She makes the decision before she can question it and leaves with out a word to Quinn.
Kiera's actions have huge ramifications....Quinn's heart is destroyed...Their friendship and trust is broken and both of them are damaged by it.
These two come together under very surprising circumstances...KIera has followed her dream of becoming a doctor of physical therapy. She has come back home to do her residency. It has been six years and she has grown as a person...she has missed her best friend but over the times she has been back, Quinn has been cold and unresponsive.
Quinn has been living his life the way he thinks his family has wanted... he has been the force which has made all of the smart business choices for the gym, Legends. He has also managed his brothers' careers. Money has been made; the Gym was saved and the family is back on steady ground. The only thing that hasn't been done is Quinn's desire to do something more rewarding for himself.
Then fate hands Quinn a nasty slap with a near fatal motorcycle accident. Quinn comes out of a grueling recover after months of pain and hard work. He is now set for the last part, physical therapy...and yes, you guessed it...Kiera is his assigned therapist.
This tale has so much going for it... these two have a love for each other that never has died...but they also are skittish, too... and Quinn has good reason. He wants what is best for Kiera... loves her deeply but cannot endure her leaving him again...
This is series has charm, care and heart. The men each have their own personalities so there never feels like an overlap or repeat for me. The chemistry between Kiera and Quinn felt real and the mistakes made were in keeping with their upbringing...All in all there was depth of wanting to be someone, taking the risk to make it happen and allowing love to happen, too.
As I said earlier, this Kavanagh Clan grows on you and I just have this sense there will be more coming... At least I hope so.

Chasing a Legend (Kavanagh Legends, #4)-August 22nd 2017
I keep coming back to the the Kavanaghs because this series is so damn good.
I loved learning more about what make Quinn tick, whew this is a fantastic story. I loved seeing two former best friends finally get back together both in terms of friendship and falling for each other. This romance made me cry, laugh until I snorted, and was damn hot.
How can two career driven people, finally end up together despite living on separate coasts?
Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. This was a second chance story. We have Quinn Kavanagh who has motorcycle accident and is now struggling to walk again, and who ends up being his physical therapist, but none other than the girl who broke his heart 6 years ago. He does not want to develop feelings for her again, he does think he could go thru that again, but he does not know everything that happened. We get to see the whole loud family again. Not my favorite of the series, but not bad.
Sweet, sexy and ends with the happily ever after they both deserve. The best part is the family as secondary characters that add more depth to the story.
I love, love, loved this book. It was hot, sexy and yet full of feels too. It just give me tingles reading it. Fantastic! Would recommend this book to everyone
The fourth in the Kavanagh Legends novel is about Quinn Kavanagh. Quinn is the quiet one of the brothers. Working as promoter for his MMA fighting brothers, Quinn was in a motorcycle wreck that almost ended his life. When reunited with childhood friend Dr. Kiera Finley, she learns of his secret passion no one including his family knows about. A great book by a fantastic storyteller!
Quinn and Keira have not had much contact since she went away to college 6 years ago and took her heart with him. Keira was blind to how Quinn felt and was caught up in her dreams and aspirations. She didn't realize what she had done until she returns home and finds Quinn in need of physical therapy. Keira becomes his physical therapist and seeks to become friends with him again. Quinn isn't so quick to put his heart on the line again. He still feels resentment and despair over her ability to leave him without a goodbye 6 years ago. Keira was pretty selfish in this book and didn't do a lot to overcome that quality. She was dedicated to her job but pretty much put blinders on to anything else that was going on around her. She finally realizes what she did and tries to deflect blame from herself. She really did lack some serious common sense at times. She wanted Quinn to reach for his dreams which was admirable. The way she went about it at times was childish. She had no patience for wanting what she wanted, when she wanted it. It got a bit old after a while. It was up to Quinn to decide when his family learned of his talent. She bulldozed her way back into his life and didn't really accept responsibility for her actions. I did like how they both realized that if they wanted a future they were going to have to fight for it. I liked Seamus stepping up and giving Quinn sound advice. I would have liked to have seen Keira make some sacrifices for their relationship also. The ending was sweet and it was a good continuation to this series. I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest opinion.
What a great book by Sarah.. This is part of the Kavanaugh series but can be read as a stand alone
Quinn has been in love with Kiera for as long as he can remember. She broke his heart 6 years ago and he never could move past that. After Quinn is involved in an accident the last person he expects to help him recover is Kiera. Can they move past the hurt and build a new relationship?
I DNF at 36%
I'm going to try to come back to this one because I was provided an ARC and I feel it's only fair, but I'm going to have to a wait a bit.
My problem with this book isn't so much the characters, it's the pace. It sucked me in for the first few chapters, but it all went downhill when he saw Kiera again. Things happen very, very quickly. It takes them almost no time to have sex and start developing a relationship again (note that I stopped at 36% and this has already happened). I felt like given how they were hurt by each other, they should both be a little more wary of starting anything. Second chance romances should be more of a slow burn while the characters get to know each other again. At least that's how I feel.
Kiera was kind of bland and a little matronly and Quinn felt a little whiny. I get the feeling that Quinn's family is supposed to be kind of quirky, but they too felt a little old fashioned.
Everything about the synopsis screamed my kind of book, but unfortunately it just fell flat.
I wasn't crazy about, Chasing a legend. I just couldn't get into the lead character, Quinn. He was just too sappy for me. I like someone with more Alpha type traits. I did like Kiera, although as a PT myself, there were some things that needed some more investigating to be accurate. Her character would have not been able to treat Quinn and be romantically involved with him. Big ethics no, no. Others things about the Physical Therapy were inaccurate as well. I did like the ending of the book. Pretty much the best part.
Thank you Loveswept for providing an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Quinn Kavanagh had a long time crush on his best friend, Kiera Finley . However, she broke his heart when she left for college without saying goodbye and that time, he's about to confess his feelings for her. 6 years later, Quinn is a talent manager at their family business. One day, he had a motorcycle accident and was severely injured. To recover from his injuries, he needs to undergo physical therapy and surprisingly, the doctor was none other than the woman he fell in love with and the very one who broke his heart.
I really like Quinn and Kiera's story. It's sweet and mellow as they rekindled their romance. Quinn still loves Kiera after all these years but he's a little hesitant to get involved with her again. He has pre-conceived thoughts of her leaving him and he doesn't want to experience that heartbreak again. Though it wasn't Kiera's intention to leave him in the past, she tries to make up for the lost time. They talk about their issues and make their relationship work. The romance between them was good but there's something missing on it. There's a slight miscommunication on the last 15% but it's resolved in the end. Of all the books in this series, this is probably my third favorite.
