This is a cute title for young hockey fans as well as a great bedtime story for someone who loves hockey. As this young boy falls asleep listening to the hockey game on the radio, he dreams he is in the game. What fun, especially when he scores the winning goal. I was not impressed with the illustrations for this one, I thought they could have really added to the story if done with more colour even. The family all watched the game together which was nice showing a family doing things together and not just being in the same room. A great family book.
This is a cute title for young hockey fans and would appeal to the Pre-K/K age group. It would work for early readers. I love the idea of a young hockey fan dreaming he has been inserted into the action. The color scheme for the book is limited, and in my opinion the illustrations were underwhelming.
Initialy Goodnight, Hockey fans is ready to put you to bed and as exciting things get in the stadium, you put on the action role of commentator and follow the excitement of the game, pock, players, goalie and so on.
Loved the pastel green all over..
Adore the dream concept too where things happen...
Simple language full of vivre.
Goodnight Hockey Fans was the perfect story for those die hard hockey fans. The weaving between reality and dreams was excellent. I greatly appreciated the diverse family in the book and value the diverse images throughout the book. I can certainly see purchasing this book for a few people in my life.
This is a fun bedtime book about a little boy who loves hockey. The illustrations are impactful with their limited color palate. I appreciate that his parents are of two different races. The kids in my life are going to love it!
Adorable story about a young boy who loves hockey. Wanting to stay up and finish the game his parents send him to bed. After saying goodnight to his favorite hockey items in his room, he turns on the radio and falls asleep listening to the action packed hockey game. When he starts dreaming, he is inserted into the game and be a champ. I definitely recommend this book for kids and hockey lovers alike.
While the game is still going on bed time still arrives, but what if the young boy can't fall asleep? Being encouraged that he will fall asleep his parents tuck him in and turn out the light. As he lays in his bed wondering about the game that continues and the possibility of his ability to fall asleep he does the unthinkable--he falls asleep.
As the boy dreams he finds himself in the game--coming out of nowhere and helping his favorite team! And all he had to do was fall asleep.
The illustrations were wonderful!
