I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book packs a punch at the very start, and keeps you there. I love Sherlock and Savich. They are an incredible team. We follow Kara as first she is held hostage by a stranger and then her newborn is kidnapped from the hospital. Soon the dots connect that both are connected. Part thriller part science fiction and incredibly written. Catherine Coulter just knows how to bring it.

Dillon Savage is called to help save Kara Moody from who appears to be a crazed man trying to save her and her unborn child. Little does Dillion realize he is getting ready to face a scientist conducting experiments to help save his father from being in a vegetative state by conducting experiments on humans, whom he calls "Enigma ". While trying to stop the scientist, another plot takes place as Cam Whittier and Jack Abbott track a horrific criminal thru Daniel Boone National Forest. Cam and Jack are now trying to solve how a Chief of Staffs son, Saxton Hainny is involved with the death of Mia Prevost, his alleged girlfriend. Lots of twists and turns that will keep you guessing and not being able to stop reading. Catherine Coulter delivers another fine Dillion and Sherlock mystery!!!

First of all, I'd like to thank Netgalley and Galley books for allowing me to read "Enigma ". After coming home from a vacation, I found this waiting for me! My heart skipped a beat, my eyes grew increasingly big and I said "holy snap, look what I have". Once I was able to start reading I didn't want to stop! Who needs to cook supper and eat when you have a new Savich book to read???? I will recommend this to everyone I know and anticipate the next installment!!!! I truly love Dillion and Sherlock. Catherine Coulter never disappoints!!!!!

Novels by Catherine Coulter draw you into the story in the first chapters and hold you there, spellbound and filled with suspense until the last word. Enigma is right there with captivating stories that drive the novel to the end.
One story is of the actions of an escaped convict with blackmail and freedom as motivations. Manta Ray was convicted of bank robbery. He managed to hide the contents of the safe deposit box he took and when his successful escape happens, he puts into motion his plans to get rid of any person in his way to money and freedom.
In the second parallel story, a baby has been kidnapped from the hospital after a hostage situation with his mother and a deranged man who is claiming he is only protecting the baby. He ends up in the same hospital as the mother, in a coma. Savich and Sherlock, FBI agents are quick to action to work on uncovering the mystery of the unconscious man and the kidnapped baby.

The latest installment in the FBI Thriller series has husband and wife team, Savich and Sherlock, along with their crew of agents, working to solve two explosive cases simultaneously. The first case involves a seemingly crazy man, bursting into a pregnant woman's home, and insisting he has to save them both from the evil that's going to come for her. As he tries to hold off police, he is shot by Savich, and becomes comatose. The man has no identification, and tests reveal that his body has traces of an unknown drug. The pregnant woman, Kara Moody, has since given birth to a son in the same hospital the unconscious John Doe was taken to. When the newborn is kidnapped, and an attempt is made on John Doe's life, it seems that there is truly a great evil out there. A wealthy scientist will stop at nothing to further his research, and he's especially desperate to continue his "Enigma" project for personal reasons.

The second case involves a convicted bank robber, Liam Hennessey, who was freed from captivity while enroute to prison. He has been tracked to a national park, and agents Cam Wittier and Jack Cabot are assigned to recapture him before he disappears for good. What Hennessey stole was several safe deposit boxes, one of which is very valuable to Russian bank financiers who have links to the highest level of Russian government. This story takes many unexpected twists, leading to murder, deception, and the trail shows possible links to a high ranking U.S. government official.

The action in both stories takes off from page one and never lets up. There is plenty of heart-pounding excitement, and never a dull moment, as Savich and his agents race to beat the clock and solve these cases. As if that weren't enough, Savich also has to deal with a jealous detective, whose vindictiveness is almost fatal, and a misjudgment by his own crew, which allows the bank robber to slip from their grasp. In between the madness, we get a glimpse into the personal lives of Sherlock and Savich. I love seeing the haven they've built for themselves and their young son, Sean. They are happy to welcome fellow agents to their oasis, as they are determined to fit some beautiful peace into their chaotic lives. ENIGMA is chock full of suspense, thrills, action, and excitement. I tore through this book in one sitting and can highly recommend it.

A great plot with lots of action that kept the suspense flowing to the end. The characters were very well developed with great dialogue. Savage and Sherlock are amazing characters that continue to find the bad guys and make the world a safer place. You can read this book as a stand alone, but it is truly an amazing series and you will enjoy reading all of them if you like action and suspense.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I never get tired of reading this series. Every book has been interesting, never repetitive. This one is very well written and entertaining. Loved it

It's always wonderful to return to the world of Sherlock and Savich in the FBI series. This series has not gotten repetitive at all. This book is as thrilling as the first book. There are two mysteries in this book.
Sherlock and Savitch are looking into an infant kid aping along with a man in a coma.
Than Cam and Jack are looking for an escaped prisoner involved in a bank robbery.
The book keeps you fascinated until the end. As always it's both thrilling and suspenseful with such richly written characters.
I voluntarily reviewed and gave an honest opinion on this book which I received via netgalley.

I loved dipping back into the world of Dillon Savich and his wife Sherlock ..............Dillon is called by one of his neighbours - she has see her pregnant single neighbour , Kara Moody, forced into her home by a man behaving strangely !
Dillon arrives on scene and soon realises that there is more to the matter than it seems - he needs to prevent SWAT storming the house before both Kara and the crazy stranger end up dead .
He manages to save them both but is intrigued by the strangers statements , before he falls into a coma , that Kara and her baby are at risk .
Both Kara and her attacker end up in the same hospital , she to give birth , he to try to wake from his coma -What is their link ? Why did he try to save her ? and from Whom ? He needs to wake up !

Lister Maddox comes to realise that he has lost his experimental test subject , he needs to silence the crazy man , and find the next subject that meets his needs URGENTLY ........... he will stop at nothing to further his needs .
Dillon and Sherlock race against time to put all the clues together to rescue not only the next test subject but also the puzzle that is ..........Kara, her baby and the crazy man .

Meanwhile new BAU Agent Cam Wittier and Jack Cabot must track an escaped violent criminal through the Daniel Boone National ........ who helped him escape ? what is the link to the murder of Mia Prevost, the girlfriend of the president’s Chief of Staff’s only son, Saxton Hainny ?
The pace is fast and furious as Cam and Jack come closer and closer to catching up with the Escapee ,dead bodies at every turn .
Watch for the twist in the story in the last couple of pages ....it caught me out !

I would normally give Ms Coulter's books a well deserved 5 stars , but I feel that something was missing in this book - something I could not put my finger on ................... so sorry only 4 stars .

Egnima is the next FBI thriller by Catherine Coulter. Ms. Coulter has become a master at crafting stories that keep you on the edge of your seat and anticipating the next twist & turn in the plot. Savich & Sherlock find themselves in the middle of two distinct cases. In one, an international criminal escapes from federal custody during a prison transfer. In the other case, a young man breaks in & accosts a young pregnant woman that has recently moved into the neighborhood. After Savich enters the house & attempts to disarm him, the young man collapses & lapses into a coma. What did "John Doe" know? What's happened to him?

This story has a little different outline than Ms. Coulter's other FBI books. Other than some flirting & a hint of a romance starting between Cam & Jack, romance has been left out of this story. This served to make the actual mysteries & the storylines a bigger focus. The romance & the time spent with Sean, Savich & Sherlock's son, usually is a break from the intrigue & time to decompress before the next dramatic escalation of activity. While I missed these parts, the story did not suffer from it. The plot was similar to a rollercoaster in the buildup & fall before the big escalation & discovery. As a reader, my attention was caught from the beginning & didn't waiver until the end.

So, keep in mind that while Savich/Sherlock are in the book, this isn't just their book. They do have a story line that connects with a 2nd story line, but much of the book is really following Cam Wittier and Jack Cabot as they track a very unusual criminal.

It takes a very long time for everything to come together, but I found both plot lines to be equally fascinating.

I really liked Jack and Cam. They have a ton of chemistry and I'd welcome reading them in a future book.

This is one of those page turners that I simply didn't want to put down. And, in fact, I didn't...until the very last page!

Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) provided by the Author and Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an fair and honest review.

Ain't no use wishing for something that's already gone. That's a country song, right? Well is fits here too, folks. The romance is gone and I'm not going to lament it in future reviews, but I will say, I will always miss it. Now, let's review what we have and not what we don't. We have a superb mystery, actually two mysteries. They both keep you guessing as to who and why well past the midpoint of the book. It got a little complicated as the CAU Team were working both of them and the process of solving each mystery overlapped with Savich and Sherlock right in the middle.

The Mystery of the Crazy Man: When an old friend of his grandmother's calls him to help her young, pregnant neighbor, Kara Moody, Dillon Savich goes. What he finds is a nasty situation where a seemingly crazy man is holding Kara and keeping Metro police at bay with a semi-auto AR15. “John Doe” seems to be off his meds, escaped from some mental institution, maybe. He is ranting about someone being after him and that he must save Kara. Savich shoots him, leaving him unconscious. Kara goes into labor, gives birth to Alex and later Alex is kidnapped from the hospital. Savich and Sherlock are sure that John Doe is the key to solving who kidnapped little Alex, but he is in a coma and the doctors don't know why.

the Mystery of the Box Agents Cam Wittier and Jack Cabot must track an escaped criminal through the Daniel Boone National Forest. They have to find out who helped him and why. When all this leads back to the murder of Mia Prevost, it also leads to government officials and the Russians.

Another thrilling page turner about Sherlock and Dillon. A baby is kidnapped from the hospital after his mother had been held hostage by a crazy man. Or was he really trying to save them? This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I could not put it down! Every time I think Catherine Coulter can’t get any better, she proves me wrong! Don’t miss this book!

Enigma is the newest book in Catherine Coulter FBI thriller series, the book was published on the 12th September 2017.

Catherine Coulter intertwined two stories in one book, the first story follows a man how breaks into a pregnant women home. Savich saves the women, but when the women new-born baby is kidnapped the delve into a world of medical testing.

The second story follows new member of CAD team Cam and Jack from the New York office as they hunt down escape fugitive who escape prison transfer after robbing a bank. What is so important that he took from a safe deposit box that a person would risk breaking him free.

I always enjoy Catherine Coulter stories, the story is interesting fast paced and keeps you wanting more. This FBI Thriller series balances crime and romance, in this book the focus is more on crime than romance. Although I can see this book being a springboard for more romance.

The book makes you think about what you are willing to do to save a family member. There is one element of the story that is left unanswered which I hope in another book explains / resolved.

Sherlock and Savich are one of my favourite crime solving couples, I love how they work together at work and at home. The team that Savich has created is a interesting team with each person bring another dimension, there isn't one person on the team that you can't help put like.

I give this book 4.8 out of 5.

Thank you Netgalley for a copy of the book.

Book 21 of Catherine Coulter's FBI thriller Savich/Sherlock series.

Dillan and Lacy are back for a thrilling and mysterious case, and why not it's what they do best. Once again we have two cases going on in this book The first one Dillan and Lacy's main story Dillan saves a young pregnant woman from a crazy man who kept telling her someone was coming for her baby and only he could protect her. Dillan managed to subdue the man but shortly afterward he slipped into a coma. The pregnant girl Kara Moody went into labor and had a healthy baby boy who was then kidnapped from the maternity ward. Dillan can't leave it alone something has been bugging him about it from the beginning. Lacy and Dillan join forces with the CARD agents to help track down Baby Alex and why he was taken in the first place and how the John Doe in a coma is part of it all.

Meanwhile new to the CAU Cam Witter works with New York's Criminal Division's Jack Cabot to help track down international criminal Liam Hennessy aka Manta Ray who escaped police custody during his prison transfer. Cam and Jack follow a lead to the Daniel Boone National Forest. Hennessy didn't work alone he knew it was coming and the two people who got him out were working for a powerful person and when it ties to the murder of a young woman things get messier. Mia Prevost was dating the President's Secretary of State's only son and all the circumstantial evidence pointed right to him. Cam and Jack work together to find the connection and a way to get Hennessy back in police custody.

Overall, this was a really good read. Both storylines were intriguing and they pull you in and have very satisfying stories. The case of the missing baby Alex deals with a mad scientist and the escape prisoner Liam Hennessy is a big political snafu. I've been a fan of Coulter and this series for over ten years I think I've only missed one book in the entire series. Sherlock and Savich are some of my all time favorite characters, I'm not to crazy about the dual storylines but this one was a really good one. I liked the slight romance brewing between Cam and Jack the light flirting that goes on between them is nice but not to distracting.

I immediately got engrossed in this newest addition to Ms. Coulter's FBI series. As always the plotline was good, her characters interesting. One of the few authors I have read who consistently delivers a quality novel. I have read all of her books, including her earlier Recency period novels and found them all enjoyable, but my preference is for the FBI thrillers. Well done! I received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Having read many of CATHERINE COULTER’s FBI Thriller series I always look forward to the banter between Sherlock and Savich. Wasn't as much as her pass books but still an excellent read. The book is fast pace which wants the reader to hurry to get to the end. I love these characters and author for the simple reason when Ms. Coulter writes a book with these characters there are always 2 stories going at the same time. Both are tied up at the end and even though they are recurring characters each of her books can be read as stand alones. I am looking forward to the next one.

Escaped prisoner, Russian mob, mad scientist and kidnapping make Enigma by Catherine Coulter an intriguing and nail biting thriller. Agents Savich, Sherlock, Wittier and Cabot work simultaneously on two major cases that has no stop in the action from beginning to conclusion. You need not have read all the books in the series to enjoy this one. It has enough background on the main characters with no over-arching theme to stop you from thoroughly relishing this journey of the race to catch the criminals before it is too late.

While some events are predictable there are many twists, turns and evil forces at work in this twenty-first FBI page-turner. This is a strong suspense novel with very little of the classic Catherine Coulter romance that I enjoyed in her earlier work. Still a well-developed plot, engrossing scenes, atrocious bad guys and some wonderful good guys/gals to cheer on.

Savich helps a neighbor who is pregnant and being held by a crazy man or is he? The man falls into a coma after his capture and leaves everyone with many unanswered questions. Who is this man, why did he choose the pregnant woman, and where did he come from? When the woman has the baby and he is kidnapped things become even more urgent. While Savich and Sherlock are hunting down the answers to these questions and trying to find the missing baby a convicted bank robber escapes custody. Agent Cam Wittier, who is new to the BAU and Agent Jack Cabot are sent to hunt down the robber known as Manta Ray. The items he stole from the safety deposit boxes has never been recovered even though the police searched for them. What was so important in one of those boxes that had someone helping this man escape? I love the word play and interaction between the characters. I also enjoy how the author has two cases going on at the same time and how she seamlessly goes between them. I've read this series from the beginning and always look forward to what comes next for the old and new characters.

Great installment of the FBI Thriller series by Catherine Coulter. I have read all the books in the series and this was very good! There are two crimes/mysteries and the FBI agents are out solving them. We get to see many of the reoccurring characters that we love from other books in the series.

Savich helps a young woman. There is a man hunt in the forest for an escaped prisoner.
Lots of action and lots of clever people.

I really enjoyed it, thank you Net Galley for loaning me a copy at the last minute
