Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

Oh my. I really really like this series. Like a lot. Where Simon and Chloe's story pushed a little more into this world, Bennett and Rebecca's story was more subtle...yes just as hot. He's her boss...she can't stand the way he treats her in the office - but all of that changes when they run into each other and Luminous and all bets are off. It's hot and steamy, but also gets to the heart of the matter in her distrust of this world based on her experiences. I loved it and I wish there was more!

ARC received for review

Bennett is a wee bit of a jerk at the beginning, but he sure does know how to take care of a girl. Rebecca is unsure of the whips and chains of BDSM due to her upbringing. With a little bit of drama and angst and a whole lot of hot sex they overcome.

I’ve seen what happens when you give everything to a man. That’s not what I want. I won’t have my heart crushed in anyone’s fist. Then he changed everything. Him. Bennett Ashby. My boss. Seeing him at Luminous, dressed in leather pants and wielding a whip. Do I crave this? My mind says no, but my body is starting to have very different ideas. I knew Rebecca Morales would be the perfect assistant. That’s why I hired her. I didn’t know that working with her every day would lead to temptation—to own her, to possess her. When she walked into Luminous, I knew I was screwed. Dipping your pen in the company ink is never smart, but we both agreed what happens at the club stays there. One night and then it’s back to business tomorrow.
I’ve read this author before, just not this particular series. It didn’t disappoint. It was a quick and hot read. I liked both characters very much. I can’t wait to read the next book from this author. I recommend.

Stacey Lynn has outdone herself with LONG FOR ME. This book ticked every box: sexy, romantic, good (and strong) storyline. Everything about it was insanely good. Bennett and Rebecca have the kind of chemistry I look for in my book couples, and it's definitely hard to find. While the chemistry is off the charts Bennett and Rebecca offer so much more than just sex. They brought all the feels to the table as well. I HIGHLY recommend this book for anyone looks for an intensely perfect read.

I've been thoroughly enjoying the Luminous series and was looking forward to reading this third book in the series, and while it was very well-written, I was slightly disappointed by it and didn't think it was quite as good a read as either Dominate Me or Crave Me, which is why I gave it a 4.5-star rating.

We first meet Rebecca as she's slaving away at her desk on New Year's Eve because her arrogant and demanding boss, Bennett Ashby, dumped a 4-day project on her that he expected her to finish in two days at the last minute. Rebecca started working at the company at an entry level position when she was just 18, and has been working her way up by getting a degree and giving all her time and attention to the job for years, behavior which recently earned her a promotion to Executive Assistant to Bennett Ashby, the entitled son of the company's founder, who took over his father's role after his father retired. His relationship to Rebecca has been adversarial at best--she believes that although he's absolutely gorgeous, he's a bossy, short-tempered, rude, narcissistic jackass.

Shortly after Mr. Ashby leaves the office, Rebecca gets a phone call from her friend and neighbor, Miranda. She and her husband Shawn are members of Luminous, a BDSM club, and tonight is a New Year's open house. Since Rebecca accidentally walked into Miranda and Shawn's playroom one day, she's been curious about the lifestyle, and eventually, albeit reluctantly, decides to check it out and join them for the evening. Since it is an open house, they assure her that nothing too out-there will be happening, but she's about to be shocked speechless, when she wanders over to a demonstration area, where she finds a woman strapped down and being hit with a riding crop by a gorgeous hunk of a man--and who is that man? Her boss, Bennett Ashby. Rebecca is somewhat turned on by the scene, although she doesn't want to be, and when the scene ends, Bennett spots her holding on to the velvet rope, and it's hard to tell which one of them is the most surprised. Rebecca heads back to the bar immediately, her mind blown, but Bennett, who's been secretly lusting after her for years, is hot on her heels.

Bennett is a Dom at Luminous, often going there to play with available subs since he hasn't had a committed sub of his own for some time, and slowly but surely, he manages to insinuate himself into Rebecca's life, both professionally and personally--taking it slow because he's as attracted to Rebecca's beauty as he is to her brains and business acumen.

At it's heart, this novel is rather a mild introduction to the BDSM lifestyle, as Bennett introduces Rebecca to some of its guiding concepts, such as contracts, safe words, the safe, sane and consensual rule, and the Dom/sub relationship, pushing her to slowly understand and allowing her to experience the lifestyle at a pace she can handle. For someone who was originally freaked out by her neighbor's playroom, she's still got plenty of doubts, but Bennett isn't into a lot of the more serious aspects of kink, and is as caring, loving and observant a Dom as any I've read about. Rebecca, who witnessed her mother's physical abuse by her father at a young age, still doubts Bennett's interest in her, but is nevertheless slowly overcoming her misapprehension and abject fear that the BDSM lifestyle isn't at all the same thing as domestic abuse.

When Bennett presents Rebecca with a contract which delineates the Dom/sub relationship and what she can expect from him, and he her, she reluctantly signs it, and it's at this point that their relationship really begins to take off. However, the main reason I didn't give this novel a 5-star rating is that during the first week after Rebecca signs the contract, Bennett's behavior towards her at the office is anything but clear, and as her Dom, he should have been far more sensitive to her reactions to his dominating behavior and his sexual expectations of her at the office. Although this is a romance, there were times when he should have plainly seen Rebecca's trepidation about their agreement. Additionally, while this story is told in alternating narration, the author gets us into Rebecca's head so we can understand her history and feelings, as well as what drew her to the BDSM lifestyle, but we're not given an equal reason for Bennett's need for control and dominance, and it's something I would have enjoyed getting to understand.

What I did like about this novel was that Rebecca had both a backbone and a brain, and Bennett wanted both from his sub. I also enjoyed seeing the couples who were featured in the previous novels again. This is indeed a romance novel, and while there isn't a whole lot in the way of a dramatic and exciting plot, the sizzling hot sex scenes more than made up for it.

This novel is an excellent introduction to the lighter side of BDSM, and a great way for the uninitiated to begin to understand the Dom/sub relationship, and the roles of both parties in that relationship. It was a very enjoyable read, and I'm happy to recommend it.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

I think I may be the anomaly, but this book was a miss for me. The sex was hot, the tension between the couple was palpable and the true caring and concern of a Dom/sub relationship was explored. And yet, for reasons I can’t truly put my fingers on, I felt that I spent more time getting frustrated by the book as it went on than I did falling in love with the characters.

Rebecca’s past makes a BDSM relationship seem like the furthest thing from what she would want. But when she is presented with one night with her domineering and overbearing boss, Bennett Ashby, where he would care for her and see to her every need, she can’t turn it down. And while being a sub is not what she wants, it may be exactly what she needs.

Bennett appears to the be the dream Dom. He cares for his sub and wants her to allow him to coddle her, guide her, and pamper her. He acknowledges the gift that she is giving to him, stressing to Rebecca that the power always lies with her and that she is actually in charge of the relationship. He is as tender and sweet as he is stern and forceful. He plans out his moves and doesn’t leave things to chance. He is considerate and sexy and I should have fallen in love with him. And I probably could have if it wasn’t for Rebecca.

I just wasn’t a fan. I didn’t feel that these two fit together well, and she was so wishy-washy for such an apparently strong woman that I found myself too often confused. From the very start, I couldn’t understand how these two got together. Bennett ignored Rebecca and was rude to her and then suddenly he’s propositioning her without any discussion or concern of a sexual discrimination lawsuit. There was no flirting, no signs of interest, no conversation. All of a sudden they were in this situation that would have been more taboo and effective had these two had at least one civil interaction with one another first. Rebecca stood up for herself at work, she submitted to Bennet in the bedroom, and she enjoyed it. And yet she couldn’t seem to reconcile within herself that this was ok.

Long for Me had all of the elements needed for a great BDSM story. I would say that it is worth a try because it was an easy read, sexy and romantic. But for some reason I just didn’t connect with it.

This is my first dip into the Luminous series, but after reading it I'll definitely be looking up the first two books. Sexy and romantic all at once, Long for Me is a light BDSM story, with just enough Dom/sub to get the heart racing, just enough about the lifestyle to come across as realistic, without getting too far into the whole S&M side of things that might put some people off. Bennett is your typical alpha male, all sexy and smouldering, and Rebecca is his typical counterpart - new to the scene but curious, and in need of someone to teach her everything. These two have a great chemistry and it was lovely to read a romance that progressed organically if quickly, without outside forces pushing them apart or any tragedy getting in the way.

I was a little thrown off when I realised that the hero of this book was going to be the a-hole who was forcing our heroine to work late and was making her work life harder than it was supposed to be. He didn't show any signs of lusting towards her before which made things weird for me. Also, it's beyond me how Rebecca went from someone who thought BDSM is abusive to someone who was actively participating in it. Bennett turned out to be a very good hero though and he won me over. Rebecca was also a nice person most of the time and these two worked out for me in the end. I wasn't always able to keep up with the two of them though. Bennett needed to work somewhat on his communication skills and Rebecca had her own demons. I wasn't able to always get what was going on in their minds and I don't understand why suddenly Bennetts membership at Luminous caused so much trouble. I feel like that part was added in order the book to include more sex scenes. I will admit that the book had some very hot scenes, but I wanted more than just sex. I wanted more romance. I was wondering if Miranda and Shawn have a book because there is a mention of an incident that included Rebecca and the two previous books are about two other couples.

The Club Luminous series by Stacey Lynn continues with this workplace BDSM story. This is the third book in the Luminous series, but it is a standalone.

Rebecca Morales works for Bennett Ashby, who drives her crazy. He has her working all sorts of crazy hours including holidays. One night, on New Year’s Eve, her next door neighbors invite her to Luminous, a BDSM club. She’s hesitant because she comes from an abusive family where her father abused her mother, but she agrees to go with them. Imagine her surprise when she sees Bennett on stage at the club whipping a woman on a St Andrews Cross.

Bennett sees Rebecca and propositions her. Just one night. One night of submission to him to see that she would like it. But Bennett wants Rebecca for more than just one night. Stacey Lynn writes a super sensual series that combines a great storyline with hot and kinky scenes that require the air conditioner.

I need the rest of this series like I need a new breath! Rebecca is out for the night with her two friends at a sex club. But its no ordinary sex club (and I can't believe I just wrote that) its run for Dominants and submissives to come out and play. It scares her, but there's a part deep down inside of her that is intrigued. That part comes to light when she sees her boss, Bennet, on stage performing with a sub. She's fantasized about him but she never would've thought he would be this...dark and seductive,

Bennet dares her to give him the chance to prove that she can be his. The chemistry flew off the pages for these two and I found myself devouring page after page. Not only do that match on a sexual level but in business: these two divide and conquer. Bennet is the type of man to know when Rebecca needs to loose control and when she needs to take the lead in the office. Head to head wits and romance that just leaves you heaving and waiting for them to fight or f*ck.

We've had some new BDSM stories come out lately and this one has pulled me in and left me so satisfied. If you want a dominant hero that's going to help awaken the heroine to her inner desires in the most spectacular way: this is your novel.

If you are looking for a book that will help you understand the difference between a BDSM relationship that is SSC (Safe, Sane, and Consensual) and abuse, this is the read for you. Submitting doesn't mean that you give up control and are weak, Submitting is POWERFUL, the sub is the one that controls everything. If the sub says just one word, the safeword, its all over.

I have been enjoying this series and quite frankly I don't think I have read anything of Stacey Lynn's that I haven't enjoyed, but this story of Bennett and Rebecca's I think has the most impact because of Rebecca's past and how she perceives things. Rebecca comes from an abusive home and when she learns that her friends husband likes to tie her up and flog her all of her alarms go off, well that was until they spoke with her about BDSM and finally convinced her to go with them to Luminous to see what it is all about.

To say that Rebecca was shocked that she could actually enjoy BDSM is an understatement and believe me there were times that she had the internal fight with herself about it, but, Bennett was perfect with her, he took the time to explain things and bring her to new heights she never knew excited. The chemistry between Bennett and Rebecca was HOT, HOT, HOT!

Loved this read! Rebecca and Bennett are great characters and their chemistry is off the charts hot. The story is entertaining with plenty of drama and steamy sex. I was hooked from beginning to end.

ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A boss romance involving BDSM. Sounds like the perfect recipe right? I thought so too, but I wasn’t 100% happy with this novel. On one hand, the erotic scenes were as graphic as they were hot. The chemistry between the leads was undeniable.

The being said, I wanted to punch the heroine in the face on multiple occasions. Okay, I know that is a bit extreme. Overreactions aside, she could be pretty obnoxious. I understand that she is supposed to have the “PTSD from past abuse” back story but she over the top with it. Even after the long extensive conversations with her best friend about the BDSM community, she still can’t separate from abuse. Even after going to the club and seeing consenting couples enjoying themselves. She still can’t separate it from abuse. I had to put the book down multiple times because she was so annoying.

If that doesn’t bother you, or you can get past that aspect, the story is pretty enjoyable.

This book seemed to lean more on the sweeter side compared to other books in the series. I would have liked to have seen it progress further into the relationship. Even with that different feeling, the storyline still kept me hooked.

Note, I did receive an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Rebecca Morales is sure about a lot of things in her life. She’s sure she’ll never get swindled by a man. She’s sure she’ll never be abused by a man. She’s sure she will be successful and maker own way in life – and so far has. She’s pretty sure she wants a softer guy in her life – despite the obvious lack of chemistry with anyone so far. And she is absolutely unsure about the life at Luminous. Her best friend and neighbor has a marriage which thrives around a BDSM lifestyle. Rebecca sees is as a form of abuse. She even tried to convince her friend to run away when she accidentally stumbled into their playroom at home. But try as she might, she has never seen an ounce of abuse from her friend’s husband. After years of trying, and answering thousands of her questions, Miranda finally convinces Rebecca to take a peek into the lifestyle they embrace. She is repulsed … and maybe a little fearful. But hell, it’s New Years and she’s down for some new resolutions. Don’t judge until you know the facts. When she stumbles onto a scene starring her sinfully sensuous boss, she’s rocked completely off balance. He sees tendencies she never thought he was capable of. Tenderness for one. She’s seen nothing but anger and rudeness from him. She has no idea that it is all a façade with Bennett trying to disguise the raging lust she inspires in him. But preconceived notions and a violent past are difficult to escape when venturing tentatively into a world of BDSM which she doesn’t fully grasp or understand. And her own insecurities might be stronger enough to end what delicate relationship she has with Bennett.

Bennett Ashby is floored when he sees Rebecca at the club. A million questions and no answers. She’s been the object of his desire for years. Is only outlet, to bark orders and cover his lust with rudeness. Now that he’s seen her there and her blatant reaction to his show, he’s going to make damn sure he finds a way to seduce Rebecca into his world – at least for one night. That is all it should take to purge her from his system, right? Wrong! Before long, he is devising any scheme he can to keep her with him as his Sub for as long as he can. Except forever might not be long enough. convincing her of his sincerity is going to be the biggest challenge of his life and her tumultuous past might be something he can’t break though. But he’ll damned sure try.

First, if you do not care for explicit sex scenes or scenes involving BDSM – fair warning – do not read this book. However, if you like it rather spicy and books that titillate are your thing, then my friend, you have come to the right place. At first, as I read, I was intrigued. For me, it’s almost the forbidden, and reading about it is quite extraordinary. I didn’t realize the book would be a full-length novel, or that the characters would have depth. Many times when I read stories like these, it’s pretty basic. Maybe I just haven’t read the right books. But I am pleased to say that I enjoyed my time with this book. I was further pleased to discover that this book is the 3rd in the series and I never knew until afterward. Great for myself and any other reader who is unaware, that as a stand-alone, this book does not have to be read in sequence. Probably my only complaint is that at times Rebecca seemed a contradiction. I suppose that could go hand in hand with the fact that she is basically jumping into a lifestyle that wars with the convictions that make her who she is. Not that the relationship wasn’t bumpy, but I almost felt like she acquiesced a bit to easily. Bennett was true to who I would believe an Alpha male – Dominate would be in all his splendid, masculine glory. I enjoyed the other couples we were introduced to, whom I would assume are part of the first two books in the series, but felt a better connection to Miranda and Shawn – likely because they play a bigger role. I wouldn’t mind reading their stories to be able to get to know them better. That would likely be the advantage to reading the books in order; knowing the secondary characters on a more personal level, and so enjoying their “cameos” more. I am no expert by any means, but Ms. Lynn wrote in a way that made me believe she possesses some knowledge within this world – or at least did a bit of homework prior to writing the book. All in all, I would recommend this read for anyone who likes explicit HEAs – particularly those with the strong male presence and a female nearly his match, but with inner torment that only a beast can soothe … even if it takes a bit of necessary roughness. 😉

I think this might be my favorite in the Luminous series so far! I really loved Rebecca and Bennett, these two were sizzling. It was sweet and extremely sexy. Fantastic read!

Rebecca and Bennett were liked fire and ice in the beginning. They both had such strong and intense personalities, I loved the animosity that was happening between them. I loved undeniable chemistry and when characters fight what they feel, it makes the build that much better. I loved watching them come together and learning their histories. Rebecca was so skeptical about the BDSM lifestyle and I loved that aspect of the story. I loved her journey and getting to where she was by the end. It really was a true story of exploration since her past was so harsh. I loved Rebecca's sass and when they were playful, it was refreshing. Bennett was something else. He was strong, commanding, sexy, and oh so sweet and patient. I love how Bennett was their for Rebecca and guided her. He had such a presence about him that made me feel really drawn to him.

I love how the story was laid out and the build. Great writing and descriptions. Nice development and pace as well. Everything moved along with a good flow and I loved the dual POVs. It was a solid read, excellent heat factor, low in the drama department, just enough to keep things interesting. There is a nice bit of emotion too. Rebecca fighting her feelings, what she felt and was curious about, I thought was great. Rebecca’s take on BDSM was so different in the beginning, such a different perspective than I'm used to when I jump into a story, it just made it that much more interesting to read.

Super sexy read with a nice amount of emotion and tension mixed in and the prefect amount of sweetness. Loved this!

This is the third book in the series, but it is the first book from it I have read - and it worked well as a stand alone.
Although the series is connected through a BDSM club, and there were plenty of steamy scenes - the story wasn't sacrificed to fit in more sex (which can be a problem with this genre!).
Bennett and Rebecca's relationship develops and strengthens through the story as their mutual trust grows. I enjoyed this read and recommend it to anyone looking for a good, quick hit of escapism with more than a hint of spice.

It starts with one night of submission to test the waters and turns into a relationship both inside and outside the bedroom. She is uncertain, but curious enough to try, only to realize that this is what she needs. These two are good together and connect. She has some issues that they need to work with, but he has found his perfect sub. She realizes she enjoys submitting to him and this lifestyle. They both realize that this has turned into something more and get their HEA. This was an entertaining read. There is lots of steamy sex thrown in with the romance of this story. I fell into the story and didn't climb out until it was over.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

'Long for Me' by Stacey Lynn is Book Three in The "Luminous" series. This is the story of Bennett Ashby and Rebecca Morales. I have not yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book.
Rebecca has worked at Bennetts company for about six years but on recently took the job as his assistant. Bennett has been very stern with her and doing things like calling her in on Christmas. Now the latest thing is is on New Years Eve put six days worth of work in front of her and she needs to have it done ASAP. Rebecca's father was abusive to her mother so she has issues with men who abuse women. When her friends ask her to go to Luminous, which is a sex club she at first turns them down like she has done for a long time. But after getting off work late and just having the option to drink along she decided to go with them. Since is Visitors night at Luminous they are doing demonstrations which she ends up finding Bennett doing one. Rebecca has mixed feelings at first being attracted to him but not knowing anything really about the life style she has a hard time understanding it. She knows her friend and her husband are strongly involved with it but Rebecca has a hard time understand a man laying his hands on a women. When Bennett sees Rebecca at the Club he knows he is going to act on the feelings of desire hes been feeling for her. Bennett is determine that he will convince her to let him teach her the ways of the Club and that lifestyle.
