I enjoyed this book! His Royal Hotness (Kian) was a bad boy, but was charming and likable. Savvy the american commoner was also very charming and also quick witted. This couple really had chemistry. I really enjoyed their playfulness. I wish their was an epilogue but it looks as though there is going to be a second book. YAY. I look forward to reading the second book and would recommend this book to romance readers.
The author has written this story a little differently – it’s from the male point of view AND in the first person. It gave me a little perspective on what it could be like for a guy to tell only his version. Then the story goes from fun and sexy to serious and intense in seconds.
Kian is the younger twin prince of Wildemar so he won’t inherit the title any time soon. And that’s just fine with him because he can live his life however he wants, at least within the confines of his bodyguards. But then they’ve seen just about everything and have learned when to back off and stay out of sight. So when they say it’s serious, it really is. Being thrust into the royal role that he has been able to avoid for a long time leaves him about ready to pull his hair out! And then he’s rescued by a waitress spilling a drink on him, on purpose. When she disappears, he uses his influence to find out who she is.
Savvy Breslin had been a student in Wildemar and has returned many years later. She enjoyed her time there and learned a little about the royalty while she was there. She couldn’t pass up the chance to put the snobby woman in her place. Now she’s become a lifeline for Kian as he waits for others to find his kidnapped brother.
The secrets they each hold dear could ruin what they have begun together. Each character has such a complicated past that each page turn will bring you more questions than answers!
I received an ARC from the publisher for an honest and unbiased review. No compensation was promised or received for this review.
This was the first book I've read by Tracy Wolff, and I really enjoyed it! Royal Pain was a great start to what I imagine is a duet, as Garrett needs to get his own story ASAP!
Kian and Savvy were likeable, relatable characters -- even if he is a cocky, playboy prince! I love a royals/commoner tale, and this one had the added bonus of the spare being forced to become the heir when his twin brother is kidnapped. Add in the twist that Savvy dated Garrett first, years ago, and it became a real page-turner for me!
I received an advanced copy from Random House Loveswept and voluntarily left a review.
This was a great read! Kian is a typical playboy until life happens and he is forced to grow up and realize there is more in life. In the process he meets Savannah when she saves him from a crown chaser as he calls them. What he didn't expect was the instant connection between the two.
But during all this his father wants him to step up as practicing prince until his brother is found and can pick back up in the kingdom with his duties.
Savannah is hiding a secret from Kian and once it is revealed it could change there relationship. Savannah has not had an easy life when it comes to relationships of any form. When Kian breaks her walls down will it be a mistake letting it happen?
Kian has a lot to deal with in life with his family and the kingdom, can he give his heart to Savannah as well and them have there happy ever after.
The characters in this book were great, had just enough drama to keep me hooked. Look forward to the next book in the series. Honest review in exchange for ARC.
Hot! Hot! Hot! His Royal Hotness, Crown Prince Kian of Wildemar is the spare heir and he likes it that way. Leading a life of luxury with all the royal perks he parties, with a constant supply of beautiful women throwing themselves at him, without a care in the world, until his older twin Garrett, the heir to the throne, is kidnapped.
Kian must now take his brother's place and learn all the duties of the Heir to the Crown. Act like the Heir and perform all his Royal duties . This is not what he wants or what he signed up for. But then, in the middle of a palace party a beautiful, waitress with the most beautiful pair of brown eyes, rescues him by dumping an entire tray of drinks straight down the front of his tuxedo. She then whisks him away through the ballroom, to a small staff lounge to clean him up. Kian is immediately taken by the sexy, Hot, American, young woman. Kian can't help but act on his attraction to her and kisses her, the electricity that arcs between them, has his every nerve ending standing up and taking notice. But before he can even get her phone number she is gone.
Savannah Breslin, "Savy" is busy with a couple of jobs to help support her writing that she loves. She has returned to Wildemar after going to college here as a foreign exchange student. She lives by modest means, living in a quaint cottage. She is taken by His Royal Hotness, but does not want to be his next fling. She has already had her heart broken by someone close to Kian. But when she answers her door, to find Kian standing there with some flowers, she quickly takes the flowers and shuts the door in his face. But quickly opens the door, just to mess with him.
Kian is taken by her frankness, quick wit and sarcasm, as well as the way, she is constantly, challenging and surprising him. Of course the fact that Savy is beautiful and their chemistry is off the charts keeps him coming back for more.
These two quickly become a lot more to one another. But will Savy let Kian in, or will she keep him at arms length so he doesn't break her heart? Will Royal Prince Garrett be found dead or alive? You will have to read this fun, sexy and exciting romance to find out.

DNF at 37%.
It's my bad, why did I request this book? Prince Kian of Wildemar is the younger twin, the playboy, the dilettante, until his twin, the heir apparent is kidnapped. Of course when your twin is kidnapped, presumed dead, you immediately try to start up something with one of the waitresses at a royal party - doesn't everyone?
If you enjoy the OTT TV series The Royal starring Elizabeth Hurley then you'll enjoy this. It has an evil uncle who's plotting to wrest the throne from his brother, stoic bodyguards, evil terrorists - I think you get the picture.
I think if I had found Kian more likable I would have enjoyed this but I found him so self-centred and obnoxious (and plain stupid) that I couldn't read any more, sorry.
Tracy Wolff’s romances are always smoking hot, and Royal Pain is fan-worthy. Prince Kian is filling in for his twin brother, the Crown Prince, after he disappeared under nefarious circumstances. He’s used to the lifestyle of a responsibility-free playboy; therefore, he is not happy to be filling in for him. He meets struggling write and bartender Savvy, and they have electric chemistry. They begin a cat and mouse game, but Savvy has some secrets that good effect any chance they have for something more than just a sexual relationship. That secret ruined this story for me, so I can’t really rate Royal Pain. It’s not a reflection of Ms. Wolff’s writing - there is just a plot device that is not my cup of tea.
As a reader this book was very slow moving for me and made it hard to connect with Kian and Savvy outside of the very well written steamy parts. When I read the blurb, I was excited but once I started reading I was thrown. I am fine with the instant love and the fact that she and his twin brother had a thing but after a while confidence and growth needs to take form. A relationship needs to be more than "getting off." Why fight what could be magical. It took a while but they got there. I guess with all bumps and doubts things just click. That is what it did at the end... click
Unfortunately, I was unable to finish this book. It didn't work for me. At about 20%, I couldn't continue. He had known her for such a short time and decided she was different, so he is suddenly a changed man. The storyline wasn't my cup of tea.
While this story was extremely hot, and had good plot twists, I didn't like how it abruptly ended. I think it could have had less in the middle to make room for a better ending. I would still recommend reading this book though.
Say hello to His Royal Hotness Prince Kian of Wildemar.
Kian is the second in line.He is not the heir. But after his older brother is kidnapped, he must step up and be responsible.
I liked this book. I liked it a lot! It has love, royalty, hot scenes...and more!
It's the first book in a series. And I know that I will read the following books. That's for sure!
'Royal Pain' Tracy Wolff is the First Book in a New Series called "His Royal Hotness". This is the story of Prince Kian of Wildemar and Savannah "Savvy "Breslin.
Kian has a nickname 'His Royal Hotness' and since he was born 7 minutes later than his Twin brother
Garrett, his is the spare heir. Kian likes being the spare heir since it allows him all the Royal Benefits but none of the Royal jobs...so he is a playboy. Loving life until his father calls him home because his brother is missing and they are worried something might happen to him. Now thirteen weeks later still no word on his brother but Kian is having to do Royal activities. At one of theses Royal activities he meets Savvy. Savvy is helping to waitress at the event and ends up dropping drinks on Kian. That leads them to talking where he tries to talk her into sleeping with him. But she doesn't go for it and leaves without telling him her full name or her number. Kian is very attracted to her and has his security people find her.
Although Savvy had some secrets and there was some dram to this story it was a was really a modern day Cinderella type story.

The book is amazing. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.I read all of Tracys books, you should definitely read this one.The book is hot and passionet.Tabloids call him His Royal Hotness, Prince Kian of Wildemar. As the spare to the heir, I’m the prince with none of the power and all of the perks. When he falls,he falls hard.Kianndidn’t expect his brother heir to the throne to go missing.Kian didn’t expect that the woman he can't pull away from was the one woman his brother gave up for his drive for the throne.
I received the book from Netgalley for honest review of this book.
This book is another one that falls in the love-hate category. I'm all for strong women, however in this book the female kind of annoyed the crap out of me. She withheld things. She pushed her independence. She came off as one that truly wasn't interested in him at all in many spots. I don't see what Kian even saw in her personally.
Another thing that bugs the crap out of me was his name. You have one guy with a normal type name, Garrett, and then you have another one with a misspelled version of Kane. I was focused on trying to figure out how to pronounce his name in my head so much that I lost my way several times. ugh
There's a lot going on in the story and even with that there's a lot missing and didn't ring true too. Things got glazed over and this just became an all right read for me. The author did throw in some suspense, some pretty graphic crime stuff, and then everything was alright with the world.
The story was good, in a Cinderella sort of way. The sex was hot, but I didn't love many parts which is odd for me because I have enjoyed many of Tracy Wolff's books.
3.5 Stars
When Prince Kian of Wildemar gets the call he never wanted, his carefree life of being the spare heir to the throne is about to take a drastic turn. Suddenly thrust into the responsibilities of his title, and worrying for his missing brother, Kian is just going through the motions of doing his duty. Until meeting one intriguing woman at a party...
Savannah steps in to help Kian one night and has brought herself his attention ever since. But Savvy knows better... and anything more than just some temporary fun is the only thing they will ever be.
This book was a good read! I liked Savvy, she is a straightforward and independent woman. She never wants to come between Kian and his family or his country. Kian is a reformed man whore who immediately knows Savvy is different than any woman he has ever known.
The storyline kept me interested throughout, with the mystery of what happened to Kian's brother and the politics of the country of Wildemar.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Although I'm a huge Tracy Wolff fan, I must admit I was a little skeptical about this one. Shame on me. I should have know Ms. Wolff would craft a story that would pull me in and have me hooked in no time. I couldn't put this one down!
Kian is suppose to be the spare prince. He's always known his twin brother was the prince that would take over the throne. He's lived his life fun and fast. Until now! When his brother is kidnapped and presumed dead he is called back to the palace to take his place as next in line to the throne. The one spot he's never wanted. Now the most wanted bachelor around he needs to fend off all the crown chasers and he has his eye on Savannah Breslin to help with that! That's when the drama really starts.
A great read and definitely one I recommend. Can't wait for the next in the series.
This is a fun book to read if spoilt alphas are your thing. I liked the character of Kian he is a playboy prince who likes to enjoy the trappings of royalty. Saffy I liked her but for an intelligent women I wanted her to resist him a little more than she did and make him work for it. The relationship was all too easy. The plot I think needed more depth I wanted to know more about about the kidnap plot. Not sure if I will read Next book in the series but I am intrigued what happened to Garrett.
This was a cute. It did it's job which was to entertain me, keep in engaged in the story and pull me in enough to want to pick up the next one. So in that regard, it was pretty successful. But there was something about it that kept me from truly "loving" it. Please don't ask me what that something is, because I'm still trying to figure it out. I'm sure that by the time I'm done writing this review I'll know.
Kian is the "spare" prince. He's the twin to the crown prince and hasn't had to act like true royalty pretty much his whole life. Even though he's in the royal guard, he parties hard and doesn't care who is around to witness his playboy ways. But when his brother is kidnapped, he's thrust in to the royal life he's never wanted. Add in the fact that he's beside himself, worried about his missing brother and it's enough to make anyone a little on edge. That is until he's attacked (I mean saved) by a beautiful waitress at a gala. He's immediately captivated and isn't shy about how determined he is to get to know her.
Savannah (Savvy) is the waitress who's saved Kian from a heard of horny aristocratic females who are trying to dig their nails in to Kian. What she wasn't prepared for was the way he'd look at her. The way he'd make her feel. Nor all of the complications that come with those feelings. Why complicated? Because he's the prince, soon to be king if his brother isn't found alive. Because she's a commoner and let's face it, fairy tales don't really come true in real life, right? And more importantly, because she's been down this road before. And Kian isn't going to like what she's got to say.
Since the "truth" comes out relatively early in the story, I don't feel like I'm spoiling anything by saying this. But just in case you want to go in blind, you have about two seconds to stop reading this review....
Surprise, surprise. Savvy once dated Kian's brother in college. It's not like it was a year ago, it's been five years, but obviously feelings are still floating in the air. Both for Savvy and his brother. THIS. This right here is probably why me "loving" this didn't quite happen. Don't get me wrong. The author does a good job of explaining the situation from Savvy's POV. And considering the fact that the chemistry was so crazy between the two, I get how their relationship would continue to bloom. But man. The brother is still missing and although everyone is still looking for him, we still haven't really heard how he feels about Savvy and Kian finding romance. Especially considering how Kian finds out about Savvy's past relationship. Anyway, I'm digressing. The point is, it made it a little hard for me to truly appreciate this read. But I have a funny feeling that we haven't heard the last of brother Garrett...just sayin'.

ARC provided by NetGalley for my honest review.
Savannah and Kian meet when she rescues him from unwanted attention for an overzealous woman. Savannah is the bartender at a high society function and sees Kian needs saving so she steps in to help but causes him to get drenched in champagne while doing the rescuing. Kian is intrigued by Savannah and has his staff get him information about her. Little does he know that Savannah is very familiar with Kian.
Savannah is stand-offish and keeps a secret about knowing someone close to Kian to herself. When he discovers the truth, he does not take it well. Savannah has been burned by love before and wants to protect her heart. Her parents died and she feels that everyone leaves her eventually. Kian is unaware of this and doesn't understand why she is so reluctant to be with him.
Kian has spent the past 3 months trying to find his brother, Garrett, who was kidnapped and his fate does not look good. He and his father, the King, do not see eye to eye most of the time and butt heads quite a bit. Kian doesn't want to be king one day and is more than okay with his brother being the heir apparent. He did act like a spoiled child at points and it did get kind of old after a while. You will have to read to see what happens between he and Savvy, along with Garrett since spoilers are not my thing. I will say it did end well and was a good read overall.
He is not the future king. He is the spare.. He is known as Prince Hotness. At least he was but then his brother gets kidnapped. He has to step up to keep his country together. Then he meets a woman he thinks is the one. But she has a secret that could tear them apart. This story is funny but serious at times. Definitely worth the read.
