3.5 Stars A sexy royal tale of a commoner Savvy the waitress and a prince, Kian is the.the playboy spare to the throne. Kain's twin brother Garrett the heir has been kidnapped and is missing so Kian has assumed his duties. When he is being accosted by a mother & daughter combo at a castle event Savvy comes to the rescue by dumping a tray of drinks on him. He is intrigued by this sassy American and makes it his duty to seek her out even though she has turned down his advances at the castle.
Tracy Wolff did an excellent job of bringing this couple to life for the reader. Be sure to read to see if Kain & Savvy can find their HEA? Will Garrett to found? Will Savvy's past relationship with another Prince be enough to pull the couple apart.? I really enjoyed this book, I just wished it had a longer ending.

I always know that I will love anything Tracy writes. Kian lived a life of luxury before the unthinkable happened....his brother and twin, Garrett, the heir to the throne of Wildemar, was kidnapped. This is where the story begins. Kian is called back to the palace for an emergency where he learns that his best friend and brother are missing and he must take over the duties of the Crown Prince. He meets Savvy when he is being cornered by a mother and daughter during a gala. Savvy surprises Kian by spilling a tray of drinks on him and saving him from one more minute with the mother and daughter. And so it begins....to see Kian, who has always been a playboy fall in love with Savvy was wonderful. It even surprised him. I loved how someone that never really counted or depended on a woman evolves into someone that truly appreciates the friendship, love and honesty that a woman can offer. Kian thinks about Savvy and she becomes the person who looks to when he wants guidance or just to vent about his day. The sub-plot of the kidnapping kept things interesting as well as how this isn't the first time Savvy has met royalty from Wildemar. The trip to the ice cream shop was my absolute favorite. I loved how Kian chose Savvy's ice cream. It had my heart melting. These two were truly meant to be. I recommend this book to everyone. I was glued to the pages from the start. I am hoping for Garrett's story next.
Great start of the series! I loved the beginning of the book: their encounter and how they slowly fell in love. She's very independent and rational, two qualities that I really appreciate in a female character.
At the middle, it turned a bit boring but after a couple of chapters the story gets interesting again.
Prince Kian of Wildemar....he's the "spare" to the heir (just the way he wants it), he loves to party, have sex, and loves that he's known by the tabloids as his Royal Hotness! He is living his life exactly as he wants it...carefree! He's on a yacht enjoying himself when his guards, Niall and Lucas, are at his side because of a helicopter coming close. He knows this party is over. All that is wonderful until he gets the rug pulled out from under him when his twin brother disappears. He now must step up to his royal duties until, if and when, his brother is found.
He meets Savvy aka Savannah at a party when someone he knows wants him but he doesn't share that sentiment is coming in for the kill. Savvy is a waitress and spills drinks on him and rescues him. She whisks him to the employees lounge to clean him up and it's an instant attraction. But, she has a past that could make or break this relationship that she needs to tell him immediately.
Will they find Kian's twin in time? Has he been killed or if he's alive, was he tortured? Can Kian really step up and do what is expected of him? So many questions!
3.5 from me on this one. I enjoyed the story, the characters BUT I absolutely almost stopped reading at the beginning when Savvy tells him why she doesn't go by her given name of Savannah! That reason was totally irrelevant to any part of this story and should never have been added. Who cares why she doesn't use her given name..lots of people don't. Had there been any more of that, I was prepared to stop reading. This book could have been rated higher if it weren't for that. Given the way our "weak, sensitive" society is these days, I felt like that was an unnecessary.
2.5 - "You’re a writer... Why don’t you change the story." Stars.
The first book in Tracy Wolff’s His Royal Hotness series gives us Prince Kian of Wildemar’s story. It’s a bit of a Cinderella tale in that the woman he falls for is a lowly bartender/writer.
I really like him. I shouldn’t I do.
This is one of those books that very much falls into the 'didn’t love it/didn’t hate it' category. The author knows how to craft a story well, and as expected delivered on the sexy-times, but there were several components to the story I didn't like.
First being a bit of a spoiler - (view spoiler) But I in general like this authors writing so I decided to stick with it, and try to ignore that little nugget of information, but it was almost impossible as it was pretty much referenced every other paragraph and even when they were getting down and dirty with each other. Total mood killer for this reader for sure...
"As long as I get to come. I don’t give a shit who I am fucking."
I expected a certain amount of overconfidence and arrogance from Kian, he is a Prince after all, but I struggled to warm to him in general, that fact his twin brother has been kidnapped is the reason he is called home, from his Playboy lifestyle, but I don’t know I just didn’t feel like the situation was given the gravitas it needed until the second half of the book. The ‘insta’ connection between him and Savvy didn’t seem realistic either to be honest, and together although they burned up the sheets their only real connection other than that seemed to be their bond over a mutual acquaintance (see spoiler).
I’ve spent my life burning bridges instead of building them.
I’ll admit I am intrigued about Crown Prince Garrett, so it’s possible I’ll return to the series when his book is released in December. Just wasn’t blown away on this occasion, I do have high expectations of Ms. Wolff though, having read many, many of her books I know the high quality writing she usually offers, and Royal Pain just missed the mark for me on this occasion.

3.5 stars
I've read many books by Tracy Wolff so when I saw this on NetGalley, it was an obvious choice!
Unfortunately, while I liked the premise of the story, it didn't quite reach the potential I had hoped for. Here's what kept me from rating it higher:
1. Repeatedly reminding us what a playboy Kian is...how many women he's been with...etc. ok, got it the first few times. Even got that Savvy is definitely aware of his reputation. No need to belabor the point.
2. His twin brother is kidnapped. It seems like such a footnote for most of the first 3/4 of the book...then things pick up along that front. More emphasis is placed on that part of the story AND their father's reaction to the kidnapping.
It's that last 1/4 of the story that redeems itself to me. And the second to last page in the story between Kian and Savvy? Makes Kian totally swoon-worthy!
I will definitely be reading more Tracy Wolff stories - this one just wasn't my favorite...

Kian aka His Royal Hotness is living the life of a playing until his brother disappears and then life changes. He ends up meeting Savvy and they have a insta-love, I however wasn't really feeling it much. I love Tracey Wolff, but for some reason, this one just couldn't grab my interest I think that is why it took me so long to read it, I have had it on my shelf for a while, and I do not like doing that. It did have it's points, We did have some hot parts, we did have some emotional drama. And, I do not know about you but the ending was I don't even know how to explain, so I wont even try, however I will still recommend so that maybe you can contact me and we can discuss and see if you have a different outlook. I will still follow her, because I do enjoy most of her stuff. And I do have questions that were unanswered.

I'm a sucker for romances involving royalty, so I was excited to get my hands on Royal Pain! It's not all fun and games, as Prince Garrett was kidnapped, and Prince Kian had to step up into his brother's shoes. However I loved watching the sparks ignite between Prince Kian and Savvy!
Prince Kian was exactly like the cocky playboy I expected him to be in the beginning, having women all around him and using them for his own pleasure. When his brother disappeared, he soon stood up when needed. I liked seeing this change in Kian, as he understood the importance of his role in the family. He just didn't want the stuck up girls chasing him.
Savvy was definitely my kind of girl; cheeky, amusing and independent. She had secrets, but I liked seeing her let go and be in the moment with Kian. It was sad to see why she was insecure, and hesitant when it came to Kian, but he had that way of getting under a girls skin.
Tracy Wolff is an author I love to read, as she builds characters that I adore and puts them in a setting that I want to be in. Kian and Savvy were from two different worlds, but they had amazing chemistry! I enjoyed meeting some secondary characters and I can't wait to see more of them. I just wished there was more interaction between the characters, and not so much inner dialogue, but it won't stop me from picking up the next book in the series!
Loved this emotional read. There's an instant attraction between Kian and Savannah when they meet. Love the chemistry between the two. Kian is determined to get to know her but Savannah is hesitant about dating a royal. Savannah has a secret that affect their relationship. They both make a decision that affects their future. This started out strong and kept the pace going throughout. I did like Kian at the start but boy did he turn it around fast which really showed a lot of depth to this character and to the writing because you believed it. Savvy was a great character and I liked that he we had Kian POV quite a bit before we had hers. My only complaint would be that it ended abruptly and I would have wanted just a bit more.
Savvy and Kian's story had a lot going on all around them. I had a little bit of a hard time liking Kian but once the story got started good and things settled down for him I did like and enjoy his character. I liked Savvy's backbone a lot and that helped me enjoy the story even though it was quite busy. Both characters were strong and had a lot of flair.
Tracy Wolff is one of my favorite authors - I freaking love her books. She writes the best characters and then gives them incredible storylines. So it's no surprise that I automatically one-click her books. What is extraordinary is when one exceeds my already high expectations.
Royal Pain was one of those books. I absolutely adored the love story between Savvy and Kian.
Kian is the spare son in his royal family but he loves that he isn't the next in line for the crown. He gets all the perks without any of the responsibilities. That is until his brother is kidnapped and his world is turned completely upside down.
It's during all of that chaos that he meets the one woman who would change his manwhore ways, Savvy. But these two share way more than sexual chemistry and affection for one another. Kian just doesn't know it.
Their story is an emotional and exciting journey, start to finish. I thought Kian and Savvy had a very passionate relationship and it's easy to get consumed by their story. I liked the pacing and how the author had their romance unfold. It was entertaining as well as realistic.
I would definitely recommend Royal Pain. Fans of Tracy Wolff will adore this new set of characters and new to this author will get a great introduction to her writing style. Its a win-win for anyone looking for a new book to devour.
I guess it's true, a Royal's life is never their own. It belongs to the people. Kian learns this the hard way, and is not ready for the responsibility. Savvy's been down this road one other time, you'd think she would have learn. But the heart wants what the heart wants. I can't wait to read more of, His Royal Hotness, series.
Reading the story of Prince Kian & Savannah was intriguing. All the twists & turns made it hard to put down. I enjoyed this book even with the crude language (lots of f bombs). The secondary story of Prince Garrett was also interesting. Highly recommend this book!!
I really enjoyed this book. At times it really pulled at my heartstrings. It has humor, angst and heat. It's a must read for sure. Tracy Wokff's writing is subperb. I can't wait to read Garrett's book.
****I voluntarily reviewed and gave my honest opinion of this Advanced Reviewer's Copy of this
book from Net Galley****
This book was good when I finally was able to get into it. It took me about 14 chapters to finally find this book interesting. There's kind of 2 stories going on here. The 1st is the playboy prince called into duty because his twin older brother(the crown prince) has been kidnapped. The 2nd is the chance meeting of Savvy & Kian where she rescues him from the overbearing, stuffy wannabe princesses debutants at an official party. They're drawn together but duty keeps pulling them apart. There's also the fact that Savvy had dated Kian's brother Garrett the crown prince years ago. They both fall fast & hard for each other but Savvy is sure Kian will leave like everyone else in her life. The upside of this book was the sarcastic humour that author Tracy Wolff used to make Kian a more likeable character & Savvy a stronger, more independent character. We also see the sarcasm used by the royal security to lighten many facets of their duties. I was disappointed by the way the story just ended, I was looking for more on Garrett & how the King reacted to Kian's proposal. I just feel like I'm left hanging.
His Royal Hotness (Kian) is hot and he knows it. He is the spare with his twin brother as the heir. This allows him to have more liberties than his brother, well until his brother is kidnapped.
Savy is an American working and living in Wildemare. She has a past and so does Kian.
There is a lot going on in this book at times. I really enjoyed reading this story, but at times the plot kept twisting it became hard to keep up.
This is definitely a great book to read if you like characters who are in love at first sight or can be transformed from being a player.
The premise of the book was superficial. The summary of the story on the back of the book pretty much gives away the entire story in one. Royal prince falls in love with a waitress, it's similar to The prince and me but, much more boring. Don't get me wrong, Tracy writes amazing stories! I liked the story but, I didn't love it.
I am sorry to say this book did not live to my style. It left me more questions. Both hero and heroine did not catch my attentions
