I'm so on the fence with this book it's not funny. The story had holes in it for me. Maybe cause I loved Tracy's Ethan Frost series so much I'm reading to much into this series. Maybe book two of the series will give me the answers I'm looking for. Thanks for giving me a chance at reading this new series.
Oh my! This was such a good one! I loved this story of Prince Kian and Savvy! I grew to love their characters very quickly and thought their developing romance was wonderful. The chemistry between the was scorching and the storyline really held my interest. I'm a sucker for a Royal Romance, so this one was right up my alley!
Royal Pain turned out to be different that I expected, but that made it even better. Kian isn't the most upstanding great guy at the beginning but I loved that as things started happening (re: his missing brother) Kian really grew up and started to take more responsibility and also in some regards take a stand. I also really liked Savvy, she has a bit of a history, which definitely leads to some rough decision making, but I totally get it. The subplot with Kian's brother is just the perfect amount in the story. Enough to keep us invested, but not so much that it overwhelms Kian and Savvy's relationship.
Kian is under no allusions that being in the role of authority and decision making in front of the worlds eyes was for his brother, he loved the party life style & all the "extras" that came with being royal.... without the actual pressure.
But when his brother goes missing and rocking the family more than they are letting the world and media know,
Kian needs to step into his shoes and take the lead.....
Kians not feeling so confident now.
With his tuxedo in place and smile on his face, when 1 spilled drink ends up with being him being locked in a room with Savvy well it kinda throws him as she's not interested in his "status"
Something he's just now used too...... but Savvy knows a life with a prince isn't so glamorous and long lasting especially when history is thrown into the mix & someone like Kian.
With the other characters in the book they didn't feel there just to fill it up, there was a lot of depth to their roles as well.
The ending didn't leave on a cliff hanger but feels open like maybe something will come next for them after this book.
Received arc from Net gallery.

I requested this book because I have read some of Tracy Wolff's books in the past and have been a fan of them.
This book starts off interesting with your typical playboy Royal Kian who as second to the throne has a life of perks, luxury and whatever he wants without the responsibilities that come with being first in line.
However things get a little complex and he is suddenly having to step up and fill the role in his brother's absence. Enter Savannah aka Savvy and the instant chemistry, the fact that she doesn't seem to care that he is a Royal and right away I am intrigued to see where this will go.
I love those types of books you know the ones that have the those couples that may have to fight the odds that are clearly stacked against them. This book also throws in some let's say complications from her past that make it even that much more interesting.
The dynamic between these two is pretty hot and Kian is quite relentless in his pursuit while at the same time Savvy keeps him on his toes. I found their story cute and endearing and I couldn't wait to read more.
Where this unfortunately fell short for me was the second half of this book. It felt rushed and while yes there is a bit of Angst which I also love in books this one was just well too quickly dealt with in my opinion. It was almost as if they had issues and then bam they were resolved without any kind of insight into it. The ending was so abrupt it felt me sort of thinking to myself "This is it?" while touching my screen thinking there has to be more.
I think had there been a bit more to their story including when Kian's brother comes into the picture as well as an ending that didn't seem to end so suddenly i would have rated this book a lot higher.
I love Tracy Wolff's work, but I must admit that I was reluctant to jump on the chance of getting this galley. Well, it would have neem my loss, I think.
The story is somewhat predictable - the playboy Prince who falls in love with an American commoner and bartender. What is not predictable is this little twist - the girl has been entangled with another Prince before.
The fact that the other Prince is also a part of the story . and his kidnapping creates a lot of drama - is another somewhat unexpected twist.
That is all good, but I wasm't able to fully connect with this story, as it often happens with the first book in some series. I felt that, while there were tons of cute banter (both the flirty and bro banter kinds) and plenty of passion, there was a bit of a lack of emotional depth here, especially as Savannah doesn't seem to have much of a backstory except for her love life.
I'm totally excited for other books about Wildemar's Royals to come though, because I'm totally expecting some development.
The best happily ever after! AND the pages getting there are great too! There are so many scenes I loved: the right way to order ice cream, Kian's security guards' love for cookies, and every scene with the two brothers! Finally, I loved all the ambiguities of the title: Royal Pain. Wonderful afternoon read!
This book completely sucked me in and didn't let go until the last page! I do love a good Prince story! And Kian was His Royal Hotness, indeed. When we first meet him, he comes off as pretty much a douchebag. Then, things suddenly happen and he's whisked away from his playboy life and things get real. Unfortunately for him, he can't play anymore.
I loved Kian and Savannah's first meeting! The vultures are circling around him and his saving grace is a commoner. She helps him out in the most unhelpful of ways. But sparks fly and the chemistry between them is intense. I enjoyed their banter and respected the way that she tries to shut him down and not be available to him. But she's unlike anyone he's ever met before and he's drawn toward her like a moth to a flame.
Savannah and Kian are a good fit for one another. They meshed well and I enjoyed watching their journey. They were hot in and out of bed and they enjoyed each other's company, even though Savannah tried hard not to fall for Kian. He certainly wasn't looking for love and she didn't want anything to do with a prince! There were parts of this book that I was holding my breath, waiting to see what would happen. It gave me the feels and I was consumed by Kian and Savvy! I enjoyed this book immensely and I HIGHLY recommend this read.
DNF. No review available. I was overwhelmed by books of different styles and subjects. I'll try again soon.
Compelling fast paced book that kept me from sleeping! Loved it! Complex in its story telling and talk about chemistry! Looking foreword to more in this series!
I adore Tracy's work and have read almost all her books. I could not get into this one at all though. It was lacking something which I feel may have been more me than the book. Kian did nothing for me, I gave up at 22%. This was a DNf for me. As I did not read the book in its entirety I have removed it from my Goodreads shelves.
Interesting story halfway because of all the revelations from Savvy and the action and emotions all in this one story. I just don't like the feels that there are a lot of self dialogue.. Maybe I'm not just a fan of that kind of writing.
This is my first story from the author and I need an epilogue. Honestly, it became super duper interesting to me in the end I almost hate the author for ending the story there. :P
This is a fun glimpse into royal circles as Kian, the spare playboy prince who lives a life free from responsibility, suddenly finds himself the heir when his twin brother is kidnapped. He finds himself falling for Savvy (Savannah), who really wants nothing to do with a prince since she has a secret regarding his twin. But needless to say, the two cannot resist each other, and the book is very appealing since they are both warm and interesting characters. I am looking forward to the sequel featuring Kian's twin, Garrett!
I think this was well written and very happily ever after romance.
I did not enjoy this one, which is unfortunate because I really enjoy this author's books. I found the heroine unlikeable, and consequently struggled through the book.
Kian is known as His Royal Hotness Prince Kian. His brother is the Crown Prince and Kian is the spare who is able to have all the fun. Then his brother is kidnapped and he must come home to make sure his brother and his country are safe. He meets Savvy, short for Savannah, as she spills a tray of drinks on him at a party. This is a fast paced story and I really loved reading it. Kian is having a hard time learning that he can handle the adult responsibility of being a Crown Prince while meeting the love of his life. Can he have it all? I can’t wait to read more books by Tracey Wolff and I also hope that the Crown Prince has his story told.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley.
This story was pretty good and well written but I just couldn't connect with the two main characters. The fact that she had been with Garret was a little to close for comfort. Kian was nice in a crazy sleazy sort of way. I don't really know why I couldn't feel for these characters but I did try. It took me forever to read this book, it just didn't grab me. I wouldn't recommend it.
Tracy Wolff is one of those authors who I have on must read list.
I can honestly say this is one did not disappoint. I thought it was a bit different for me yet I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
I really like the princes body guard. His character provided us with a bit of background which of course gave me a bit more understanding of Kian.
I think I need to see what happens in the next book to see if I stay with a four or three star rating. I love the author and believes she has surprises in store for us.
