I found this book to be interesting but slightly unrealistic. Claire's career and experience was not very relateable and seemed to be like the author was trying to pack as much as she could into one person.

I read only the first chapter or two of this book as it was simply not written in a style that I enjoy. If you're a fan of extreme film noir it might be a great read. You really have to read between the lines and enjoy the kind of terse narration that genre tends toward. I did think the characters were well described, but they aren't people I care to spend a whole book with. Might be a great book for somebody else, just not for me.
