Home All Along is a lovely conclusion to An Amish Secrets series. I found the book to be well-written, have engaging characters, and a good pace. Home All Along is not a standalone novel. You need to read the first two books in An Amish Secrets series prior to Home All Along. A few of the themes in Home All Along are power of prayer, right to pick your own fate, choices, fear of failure, faith, and love. Home All Along is realistic. Life is full of ups and downs which is shown in this novel. It is interesting to see what choices each person makes in Home All Along. Aunt Faye is quite a character. She provides levity to Home All Along. I am giving Home All Along 5 out of 5 stars. It was nice to see Charlotte develop over the course of the series. She developed as a person and a Christian. Home All Along is one of those books that you want to read quickly to see how it ends, but you also do not want the story to end (because then the series is over).

Sweet story about a couple going through challenges in their lives. I didn't read the first two books in this series but was still able to follow along. Now I have to put book one and two on my TBR list!

Thanks to Thomas Nelson and NetGalley for the ARC, which I received in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of this third installment in the (otherwise pleasant) series. While the storytelling is lovely and the more domestic setting of various couples and families solving the issues in their relationships (as opposite to finding new love stories) is nice to read about - I have been deeply disturbed by the ethical issues of addressing the euthanasia/disconnection from life-giving machines as a thing of free will or even the thoughts that the machines might be opposing the God´s decision of the length of one´s life. To me, ethanasia is a deeply unethical practice. Also the mentioning of homeopathy as an alternative method in the cancer patients's treatment is something I can not support as a working, healing solution.

Based on the cover copy of HOME ALL ALONG, I was looking forward to an emotional read about two people separated by culture and religion, and the obstacles they overcome to find their happily-ever-after. Sadly though, I was disappointed in the novel’s execution; the author assumes familiarity with the first two books of the Amish Secrets series and does not provide any backstory. Since I had not read those books I found myself awash in unfamiliar history and characters. In spite of Home All Along having some good moments and the romantic plot and subplots being interesting, the confusion caused by the novel’s setup kept me from giving it a higher grade.

If you’ve already read the other books in the series, you will probably enjoy HOME ALL ALONG. For other readers, even with the background of the previous stories, you may find the novel rushed, the romance secondary, and the reading experience less than satisfying.

Such a great book with realistic views about how life and changes throughout it can make you question your choices but at the same time also sometimes harden your believes and help you find the right way and make the best choices.
A really well done book with great writing, characters and a well done plot!
Highly recommend!

As Beth just happens to be one of my all time favourite authors, it was no surprise , upon reading an ARC copy of this novel, that it was one of her BEST books ever!! The Amish genre is one which I always enjoy , however Beth's unique talent in putting the reader right in the middle of the action drew me into the story immediately! This is not a story typical of other Amish fiction. There is no Englischer living among the Amish, there is no simple romance between members of the community! This is a soul searching tale of a woman leaving her life that she has known in search of love, faith and place where she finally feels comfortable and at home. As usual, Beth writes in a style, only she can create, that compels you to read the book in one sitting!! I almost did that!!! Although this book is the third in a series, "Amish Secrets", it can easily be read as a stand alone and thoroughly enjoyed.

The main characters, Daniel and Charlotte , are described in such a vivid, realistic fashion that you immediately feel their struggles to overcome pain, loss and sadness, as a special relationship is developing. The many struggles that these two young people overcome pulls at your emotions and make you dig deep into your own life. How does each of us deal with overcoming pain, loss and sadness?? Would we cope as Charlotte and Daniel do?? Daniel endeared himself to me with his patience and faith, helping Charlotte in her times of doubt. These dear ones definitely don't give up when the going gets tough!

The plot moves at a steady pace with enough unexpected twists and turns to keep the reader totally engrossed from start to finish. The sensitive topic of DNR is addressed in a sympathetic , kind manner. The challenges faced by a family when faced with a deadly disease are so realistic that my heart was deeply touched. The difficult decisions that they faced, became mine.My heart ached as I felt their pain. What would I do in their position??

The underlying message of this novel comes through loud and clear! It is truly a story of faith , forgiveness , redemption and understanding God's will in one's life. Being accepting of God's plan, which differs from your own is not an easy decision. Long after reading this book, I was left thinking my need to have just a bit of the acceptance and resilience with which the characters battled a disease that we have all known and faced in some aspect.

Definitely a five star book!! Don't miss it!!
The release date is September 26th!!

This book was received as a gift. The thoughts and opinions expressed are honest and my own.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book through Netgalley.
I enjoy reading books that continue story lines. Beth Wiseman is a master at doing that very thing. It's always interesting to me how the English and the Amish are different yet in many ways are similar. In this story Charlotte and Daniel are both faced with problems that could be part of the English world or part of the Amish world. The solutions are always based on faith in God and listening to his word. This isn't your typical Amish story. The problems Charlotte and Daniel faced made the book hard to put down. To say I lost a few hours sleep would be fair! I thoroughly enjoyed how Beth Wiseman brings the modern-day world into the Amish lifestyle.

There's a reason whyBeth Wiseman is one of my favorite authors....she is always writing the perfect novel to make me feel happy....to take me away from the world of stress and let me feel like I'm on a vacation! One of my favorite vacations has been to Amish Country. I have visited Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, three time with my family, and I've been to Ohio's Amish Country once, and those have created some of my best family memories.
Faith is very important in the lives of Charlotte and Daniel, and they are each willing to give up the life and faith community they have known and appreciated to be together. My faith has always been vital to me, but it would be very difficult to give up my faith for someone. But love is a strong motivator, isn't it? Readers will eagerly flip the pages of this third book in the Amish Secrets series to see what happens in the lives of Charlotte and Daniel.
I am rating this book 5 ***** stars and highly recommend to lovers of Amish and Christian fiction.
I received a complementary copy of this novel from netgalley and Thomas Nelson Publishing in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own. I was not required to write a positive review.

Fantastic End to an Amazing Series, but Trigger Warning!

Beth Wiseman’s Amish Secrets series has come to an end with her third and final installment, Home All Along. Finally! It’s not what I expected, but it’s well worth the read.

Charlotte Dolinsky’s journey continues. She’s suffered so much already – an abusive childhood, a brother gone. But she’s also found hope – in an Amish community that took her in, red truck and all, and a man that cares deeply for her. When a relative appears from her past, it throws everything into upheaval. Can she trust again? Can she truly be a part of this tight knit community?

Daniel Byler has had his share of heartache. When tragedy strikes his family, his loopy, shunned aunt comes to stay. Everything is thrown off kilter. He needs predictability, but can Charlotte be everything that he needs her to be?

I was given Home All Along in exchange for my honest review. I highly recommend reading the other two books in sequence before starting this novel (you’ll be glad you did!) It was a heavy, but good. There should be a trigger warning, though: The subject of signing a DNR order, and all that decision entails, is fully analyzed. It’s a subject that isn’t discussed much, so I applaud Wiseman for taking it on. Home All Along hit a little too close to home for me. Read it and see what you think. Overall, a fantastic end to an amazing series.

Becoming Amish was the last thing Englisher Charlotte Dolinsky ever imagined she would be doing when she stepped onto an Amish farm looking for answers about her brother's death. Yet, in Home All Along, book three of Beth Wiseman's Amish Secrets Series, she is facing that very decision. This story was an emotional roller coaster ride for me. I went back and forth many times to where I was happy for the characters an then sad for their circumstances.

In Home All Along there are several twists and turns. Trust plays a big part in this novel of discovering where one truly belongs and to whom they can put their faith in. This is such a heart tugging story and I enjoyed reading it. I was provided a complimentary review copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

I'm still on the journey. But my steps are larger and more confident as I navigate my path. The light is easier to see when you step away from the darkness.

Charlotte, an Englisher loves her Amish community and her Amish man Daniel. This is my first read of this series so there was some history I missed but was caught up very quickly. I will definitely be reading the other two. However, that said, I felt a real connect to Charlotte who has come from a dysfunctional family. A mother who was on drugs and Charlotte and her siblings in foster care. Charlotte has found stability and love where she had only chaos and insecurity before.

She has made amends with her past and her mother and is moving forward to a future. A future she is not sure of because of fear of commitment to Daniel and the Amish community. It is when her long lost sister comes into her life that she begins to unravel some of her insecurities. Her sister Andrea does not believe in heaven or hell but she does believe in a higher power. She has her own secrets but as she and her sister draw closer, Andrea draws closer to what true love is.

There is many issues going on within the Amish community that we also share in our English world. Cancer, suffering and the issues of abandonment. Daniel deals with anger and Andrea deals with her own insecurities but it is with faith that they come together in community that we all hunger for. I loved all the characters as they show our weakness and what true faith can overcome. A home all along.

A Special Thank You to Thomas Nelson and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

I'll have to admit I always look forward to reading a new Beth Wiseman Amish book. She covers the Amish faith so completely that when I read her books I feel as if I am right there living among the Amish in their town. This is a simple reminder that the Amish don't have an ideal life like so many of us imagine, making quilts and living the good calm life in the country. Their life is like ours filled with uncertainty and helplessness at times but with faith God will bring us through. Some of the subjects are a little darker in this book, there is violence and child neglect. This, the third book in the Amish Secrets series continues to follow Charlotte as she strives to find answers in the death of her troubled brother, Ethan. She had come to live among the Amish and pretended to be Amish to get answers. The pretense is over an she now strives to become Amish and had adapted to the Amish lifestyle. Her friend Daniel is with her through thick and thin and hopes to marry her but she has so many problems to work through. Daniel's family has their own problems that desperately need taken care of. Can they each work together to help and support each other's family in their trying times? God will help these families help themselves. Very enjoyable read!

Home All Along by Beth Wiseman is the third book in An Amish Secrets series. Charlotte Dolinsky is living in Paradise, Pennsylvania. It is a difficult day since she is burying her biological mother. They had a contentious relationship due to her mother’s mental health issues. Daniel Byler is approached by Bishop Michael Miller about Charlotte. It is time for Charlotte to make a choice. She cannot continue to straddle both worlds (Amish and Englisch). Charlotte is thrilled when a lost member of her family returns, but she is disappointed when the person is not interested in establishing a relationship. Charlotte loves the community, but she is not sure about making a permanent commitment. She needs to look deep inside herself to discover what she wants in life. What is the right path for Charlotte? Can she overcome her fears? Daniel loves Charlotte, but it is not the right time for him to leave his family or the Amish community. His mother receives disturbing news from her doctor, Eva developed eclampsia and is in a coma, and their Aunt Faye has come to assist them (oh dear). Is there a chance for a happily ever after for Daniel and Charlotte?

When Charlotte's long lost sister Andrea shows up at their mother's funeral she is shocked. Andrea is in some trouble of her own, and decides to crash with Charlotte. Charlotte doesn't have much to spare, but she tries to make her sister, and her niece, Bella feel welcome.

Meanwhile Charlotte struggles with the decision about her and Daniel's relationship looming in their future, as they cannot continue as they are forever. Lena's family deals with her cancer diagnosis, and Daniel's family is shaken to their core when complications with his mother's pregnancy force them to make choices they never thought they'd ever have to face.

The third in a series, Home All Along is a great conclusion to this heart felt tale of family, love, and forgiveness. I would definitely recommend reading the other books in the series before reading this one, as it would definitely be a bit tricky at first if you didn't know what was going on.

I really like how Annie matures over the course of this book, and really puts her past behind her, and being strong for her family.

Charlotte and Daniel have to make some tough decisions about where their relationship is going, and they are forced to think about what they are willing to sacrifice for their love.

Andrea was a surprising character, and her daughter Bella is adorable. Andrea is quick thinking, smart, and skeptical. I like her spunk, and despite her dishonesty at first, she did win me over by the end.

Overall, a really great conclusion to the story arch, heartbreaking at times, I loved the way that Charlotte's friends are there for her and each other. Fantastic read!

Home All Along by Beth Wiseman is another book in the author’s Amish Secrets series. If, like me, you have read other books in this series, you will love reading this book and hearing more about characters you love. Charlotte is dealing with the death of her mother and the hurts of her past. Her younger sister also comes back in the picture with her own hurts to deal with. Can Charlotte deal with these hurts and take the vow of the Amish so that she can make a life with Ben? This was a great addition to the series, but I would not recommend that it be read as a stand alone novel. I was given a digital copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Home All along is a fantastic book. You start right off with a funeral. And Charlotte relies and loves Daniel but there is one huge problem problems happen, but let me tell you this the funeral was Charlotte's drug abusive, abuser, mentally ill mother so Charlotte was conflicted - when she was gone - didn't know how to feel she didn't know how to cry or if she could cry. After the funeral the pastor pulls Daniel aside and tells him know that he has to make the choice or, Charlotte does you, see Daniel is Amish but Charlotte is not she lives in their community and lives like like them and they accept her but not fully. So they will give her a chance to become baptized and be one of them . Anywho there is so much more to that convo you have to read it then right after the funeral as ever one is gone a serious earth-shattering thing happened hey I can't tell you all everything but believe you me you have to read this book you will not believe what happens the book is intense, heart pulse racing, heart jumping out of your chest, lovelorn, conflicting but most importantly GOD trusting, relying on, following and believing in.

Thoughts:

HOME ALL ALONG (An Amish Secrets Novel) by Beth Wiseman captures life inside the Amish and Englisch worlds as well as the pain that occupies each.

The pull of today’s heavy topics seizes its hold on us as we turn the page….

Charlotte Dolinsky walks a path where love grows, but the pain will follow when the death of a family member makes things difficult for a fragile relationship.

Charlotte’s younger years were far from average and dysfunction looms mightily inside her past, but she makes her home in the most unexpected place. The Amish world in Lancaster County becomes her refuge, and these residents have become a foster family of sorts by allowing her into their circles and into their lives. However, living among the Plain People is much different than living as they live.

Is she finally reaching the critical stage of a decision?

While she digs her way through the grief and uncertainty, Charlotte uncovers another family secret once this secret discovers her!

Meanwhile, Daniel Byler is baptized Amish and stands by Charlotte in her time of need, but he has his worries about their future. He’s in love with her, but at the same time, he woes her indecision. Daniel’s been hurt before and fears his heart will be broken again.

Family life for Daniel has its problems as other issues within his district weigh upon him.

How can he console anyone if his life falls apart?

Are these problems too burdensome to overcome for this opposite attracts relationship? Even if love survives, will someone in this district fall under the shunning?

***This opinion is my own.***

Inside HOME ALL ALONG (An Amish Secrets Novel) by Beth Wiseman, Charlotte Dolinsky questions her life, her decisions, her history, and even her faith. Death makes her doubt all that she believes in and everything that’s happened before. Charlotte enters into this crossroad between the Amish world and her Englisch ties as a visitor comes to call bringing more problems to this community.

Daniel stands by Charlotte through it all as a steadfast force for her to lean on, and they’ve fallen in love. There is just one problem. He is Amish, and she is not.

As Daniel Byler is amazed at the journey Charlotte has made, he’s just as often reminded of her hesitancy to belong to his community. She’s living between two different worlds and seems to stay with one foot planted in each. The Amish community loves her, but they cannot accept a baptized man marrying an Englisch woman.

The Bishop is questioning, his parents are pushing, and his family life is falling apart as they become entangled in a major health crisis.

Death and illness heaps much stress on their shoulders and pain is coming from many directions. Will these two end up stronger together or better apart? Have both Daniel and Charlotte been moving in the wrong direction?
