Fast, action filled read about Bram, a member of a spec ops group, who has been sleeping with one woman while fast falling for her sister. When he breaks it off with the sister, he realizes that Jaelyn is just as hot for him as he is for her. Jaelyn, on the other hand, believes that Bram couldn't possibly care for her as much as she does for him. Until, of course, bad things start happening, Jaelyn is kidnapped, the family is relocated, they are all found again and both Jaelyn and Bram realize just how important they are to each other, no matter what happens.

This is the story of Bram and Jaelyn. I have only read the previous book, Deep Into Trouble with Saxon and Ginger which I really liked. I have to be honest and say that I didn't like this one as much. I felt that the connection was not as deep as it should be and I found the story line confusing to follow at times. Bram was dating LeAnn, Jaelyn's sister, a cheerleader. He comes back from leave one night, to see her cheating on him with another guy. He realizes that he had feelings all along for Jaelyn, her sister. Before he is sent on another mission, they kiss. He writes to her for the 6 months that he is way, however LeAnn intercepts those letters and Jaelyn feels that he has no interest in her. Once he does get back, he goes straight to their home, and unbeknownst to him, brings trouble to their door.
He lets Jaelyn know that he wants a relationship between them. Jaelyn proves to be a strong female, LeAnn changes her selfish attitude and their grandfather, Milton was the absolute best. The story is filled with action, sexy scenes and and the bad guys get their just desserts. All in all not a bad read.
3 stars.

Take to the Limit was a smooth flowing romantic suspense immersing us back into the Unbroken Heroes' world created by Dawn Ryder.

Bram is a special ops hero who has always had a connection to his girlfriend’s little sister. When his girlfriend has a one-night stand, their relationship ends and his biggest regret is losing Jaelyn, the younger sister. As he deploys, Bram and Jaelyn share one hot and heavy kiss.

While apart he can’t get Jaelyn out of his head. Not for nothing... but the feeling is completely mutual.

The cards are stacked against them, work, location, family, its a lot to overcome...
but Ryder can’t leave it to the unbelievable sexual tension, she adds in a riveting tale of two enemies joining forces to tear their worlds apart.

Sensual, hot and good amount of humor, Ryder tells a tale with heart pounding suspense, a swoon worthy romance and a cast of primary and secondary characters that back it all up.

I received this ARC copy of Take to the Limit from St. Martin's Press. This is my honest and voluntary review.

I've only been able to read book 3 and now 4 so I know there are some things from previous books I've missed. However, this book seemed to follow a specific set of people with their own issues up front and center.

Bram left after he had a passionate moment with his exes sister. Now that he's back he's looking to rekindle. He originally sent letters to Jaelyn who didn't receive them. She assumed it was a one sided thing so when he's back she's hesitant.

After clearing up some issues they start up their affair but with it comes danger to Jaelyn due to Bram. Now he will have to protect her while trying to show her how he really feels.

While I was a little lost I could appreciate the story being told. I'll have to go back to the beginning though

This was the first time I've read this particular author. It was recommended to me because I am a huge fan of Lora Leigh. While they may have similar story topics, Dawn is a good author in her own right. This book was riveting and kept me interested to the last page. The hero and heroine had great at chemistry but there was more substance to their relationship than just that which o like in my books.

Danger followed him home…

This is the fourth book in the Unbroken Heroes series that can be read as a stand-alone, though many references to prior characters and events are best understood if you’ve read the previous books.

Prior to deployment to Afghanistan Bram Magnus was betrayed by his girlfriend, a woman who was in reality emotionally just a booty call for him, her younger sister was the one who really attracted him. They shared a memorable kiss that last night and he knew he’d be back for her even if he shouldn’t. Tempted by the Shadow Ops teams and currently being recruited by them, having a connection out in the open is dangerous but he can’t resist the pull to Jaelyn. Men like him are at risk for retribution if they can be found and what followed him home is personal and decidedly perilous.

Always the responsible sister Jaelyn Sondors felt guilt about longing for the man her sister had. When her sister threw him away she couldn’t resist the temptation of a heated kiss she hasn’t been able to forget but he did leave and there’d been no word from him since. Now he’s returned and looks her way. But can she follow her true feelings with her sister wanting to instill herself in his life again? She has no idea how far her sister had already gone to undermine their relationship which is just beginning. Her sister is the least of her worries for she’s become a target by association and will need all her wits to survive what followed Bram home.

Strong steamy palpable chemistry between the protagonists drew them to each other like magnetism though many things (family, career, external forces) sought to pull them apart yet what was meant to be stood true but they had to fight for it and in that battle there was much character growth. Remnants of previous events came back to haunt the Shadow Ops team of which Bram was aligned to, a man seeking vengeance against them joined a man with an obsession for a woman in a picture. Can Bram and his friends save Jaelyn in time?

This book didn’t have the level of intricate plot or depth of conspiracies the others had and therefore was not as powerful a read for me as the first three books where the intensity of action and suspense was thoroughly engaging. The man being with both sisters is a trope that doesn’t sit well with me but I liked how it was done here. The numerous breaks between character voices and changes of scenes that were not clearly designated was at times confusing. I didn’t always know who was speaking and had to backtrack to see where the focus had changed. Regardless, I enjoyed the read and absolutely loved the grandfather and his secrets.

An advanced reading copy was obtained from the publisher via NetGalley.

Fast paced great read. Love that series and these men.

First and foremost, I received this copy as an ARC via NetGalley. That being said, I found this version to be a bit confusing. The chapters were very long, with no breaks in between. Conversations and scenarios would suddenly change between one sentence and another making no sense until I re-read certain paragraphs over (and over) before I realized there was a change in scenes. Defined breaks would help immensely.

For the reason mentioned above, along with lack of character depth (IMO), and feeling a bit lost on what was going on - due to not reading the previous books in the series - I had a difficult time getting involved in this book. With some editing, and having read the previous books in Unbroken Heroes, I think fans of this series will enjoy this latest installment.

My thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the opportunity to read and review Take to the Limit by Dawn Ryder.

I struggled to really engage with either of the main characters here. The writing was good (though the chapters were a bit long in my opinion) but this book just wasn't for me.

This is the 4th installment of the Unbroken Heroes series. I appreciate the opportunity to read and review. I will have to admit that it is you must read the prior installments in this series as there are a lot of characters I found to get confused with.

I was asked to review this one, I unfortunately couldn't finish it as its the 4th in a series and I felt like I was missing out on something.
DNF at 30% to review what I have would be unfair to the author, I was lost with part of the storyline.

In the near future I will look at reading the first in the series, as what I have read seems interesting. You could totally feel the attraction the characters had for each other, I was really looking forward to this one. I actually love suspenseful, action packed, and steamy reads. So I am excited to find a new to me author.

Fantastic book. Non-stop action and suspense. Loved it. The sexual tension between Bram and Jaelyn is off the charts. Even though this is a standalone book, I believe it is best to read the previous books to get the whole picture. These guys are a bunch of badass dudes who do not play around and the women are the same. I loved Milton. He might be a grandfather but what a terrific character. There is a surprise for those who have read through the series…just saying.

This book is dark and full of angst. I was a bit confused as to what was going on. Why someone was fighting in prison and then flip to special ops then to a girl's pov. It was a bit hard to follow and these characters were hard to relate to or connect with as you were reading.

This is the 4th installment of the Unbroken Heroes series. I appreciate the opportunity to read and review. I will have to admit that it is essential to read the prior installments as there are a lot of characters.

Bram is an Alpha Male in the military who is leaving on a tour to Afganistan. Prior to leaving, he discovers his attraction to his girlfriend's sister and thinks there is something there. He is gone for awhile and sends her letters, but receives nothing in return, but he can't stop thinking about her and is determined to reconnect when he returns.

Jaelyn can't stop thinking about Bram either, but without any communication, believes their kiss meant more to her than him. Little does she know that her sister has retrieved the letters that Bram has sent to her.

Bram comes home and wants to connect with Jaelyn who is a little reserved to do so as she believes he still has feelings for her sister. He clears the air with her to let her know that he wants to be with her and she can no longer deny the attraction. They get to know one another and grow their relationship and they become very important to one another.

Unfortunately, Bram's feelings for Jaelyn is exposed to his enemies and they want revenge. Jaelyn is suddenly in danger and Bram and his Ops Team have to help her.

Throughout the book there were added characters which seemed to tie or add more layers to the overall series. I had not read the other three stories so I felt lost with part of the storyline, but I did appreciate the pace of the story as it flowed pretty quickly. This was a good story for those who like adventure with intensity.

This is the first book I have read by Dawn Ryder. This book is part of a series called Unbroken Heroes. It can be fully read alone and understood but I also went back and got the previous books so I could read about some of the side characters in this one. This one is about Bram Magnus and Jaelyn. Jaelyn is the younger sister of his "girlfriend". Bram is on his way to be deployed again and goes to see LeAnn, only to find her going off with another man. Jaelyn sees him outside watching and makes a few comments that push him to do something that he can't regret. They both have feelings for each other that they have never spoken about or looked to closely at because of her sister. While Bram is deployed he decides he wants to see where a real relationship with Jaelyn could go. Little does he know that she will be targeted because of this decision.
This book had quite a few twists and turns. From the connection with her family and sister to the things that happen with a colleague. There are things that happen that I never could have predicted. But then you see how strong the characters truly are. There were things that I truly loved about this book but then there were a couple of things I didn't like as well. It ran a little for me at times. And I didn't like Bram at first. I thought he was wishy washy. Who truly wants a man that was with your sister? But says he always felt a pull towards you? And Jaelyn seemed like a pushover to me. I thought her family walked all over her, and in some ways they do. But then you find out how truly strong she is. How she won't put up with a bunch of bull when it's something truly important. Overall, this book was really good. I liked the characters once I got farther into it and I was better able to relate to them. Definitely worth the read!

This one wasn't that great for me. I can't really pin point it but I just wasn't very into it.

I received a copy of this e-book and am voluntarily leaving an honest opinion.

Bram is a tough, no-nonsense man. He works in "Shadow Ops" and is often traveling for missions. The night before he is due to ship out, at a party,he realizes the woman he has been seeing when he is home is not going to sit around and wait for him. She is definitely self centered but he didn't make any promises either.

He chances upon her sister Jaelyn and it changes the way he has thought about her. She is quite feisty, not as quiet as he'd thought. They share quite the kiss and when he goes away, he writes her.
Jaelyn thinks of him all the time also. When he returns home, he goes to see her.

The problem is someone else is watching too and when they see his interest in her, it makes her a target to get to him.

Bram is determined to get Jaelyn back safely no matter what he has to do. He enlists a few of his "team" to help him which will probably cause a big problem but he will do what he must to save Jaelyn.

Can he save Jaelyn?

Bram was pretty much an "unfinished piece of work" in the beginning of this book. He wanted to officially be on the Ops team by his own merit. He is is trying to become his own man, not the man dictated by his father. He matures quite a bit between his "work" and his falling for Jaelyn.

When Bram returns, Jaelyn sees a more mature Bram. Now she must depend on him to save her. The person whom took her is quite unstable but there is even another person pulling strings to get to the team also.

The life of Jaelyn, her sister and beloved Grandfather will change due to aspects of her rescue. Will it bring them together or break them?

I loved the Grandfather in this book, he was an awesome man who loved his granddaughters. He may have been 80 but he isn't frail and the girls really get to know the man their grandfather is!

This was a good story!

The moment Bram Magnus lays eyes on Jaelyn he knows he has to have her, problem is she comes with complications, ones that involve his ex, and her sister. But when things with her sister go sour, he decides to finally make his move for Jaelyn, since she is the one he wanted all along, and he begins to write her letters while he is deployed. But his little secret attraction draws the attention of a fellow soldier and things start to get dangerous from there... now the woman he has wanted to be his for so long might never know how much she means to him and it's up to him to keep her safe from the danger that he brought to her door!

Watching the man she wants spend quality time with her sister nearly kills her, Bram is everything she wants.... and everything she can't have! Jaelyn has it bad for Bram, but making her feelings for him known would be wrong on so many levels, he after all loves her sister, or does he? But while she is busy swooning over her sexy soldier she catches the eye of a stalker and someone from Bram's past, and soon finds herself in grave danger... good thing her sexy soldier is hot on her trail!

This was my first time settling down with a book by this author and I absolutely loved it, so much so, it inspired me to purchase the other two books in the series. It was a very suspenseful, action packed, steamy, and intriguing story that kept me enthralled the whole way through. I enjoyed watching the relationship play out between Bram and Jaelyn, their chemistry was amazing and they were very well drawn characters. Overall I would have to say that Take To The Limit is a very satisfying and entertaining read, one that I highly recommend you get your hands on... you will not be disappointed with what you find!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

Take to the Limit by Dawn Ryder is a sexy tale featuring alpha males. Males who think only about their work and nothing else. Or so they thought...Enter a beautiful woman and a Bram can't let go. He's leaving on a mission. Told to leave her alone. But his heart can't. So, he does what he can. Writes letters to her. Not one, not two, but dozens of letters. Letting her know she's all he's thinking about while away. Hot sex. Instant chemistry. And fear. Jaelyn loves Bram. He is a sexy tall man who has her toes curling in the hot sand. Her dreams are filled with nothin glut him. She kissed him hard before he left. Her heart aches for him. Thinking she won't ever see him again, she hardens her heart against him. When he arrives back to her, all hell breaks loose. His letters he wrote were never given to her....someone stole them. Jealousy. Jaelyn pushes Bram away. But he's not giving up without a hell of a fight. Hell, she's worth everything to him. Then, danger comes and knocks their world into a crazy space. No one knows where it will lead. But Bram is going to fight until he has Jaelyn safe again in his arms...and in his bed.

Dawn Ryder knows how to heat up the pages. I blushed every time. The heat was scorching. The sex soon turned to love making. The characters each had their own fears and struggles. But somehow they keep moving forward and work through them. Friends who tease but also have their backs. Family that will always support them no matter what. I loved the granddaughter and grandfather relationships in this book. It was sweet, charming, and hilarious. Overall, I enjoyed reading Take to the Limit. It's a perfect title for the scenes inside...a super solider and his strong yet bold woman.

I absolutely loved this book!. Bram is a perfect book boyfriend. Sexy, dominate, and completely capable of taking care of those he loves and owes loyalty to. And Jaelyn is what a heroine should be. She's tough when it counts, giving, and smart. She through Bram to his knees...yum yum. This was my first book in the series and while I read it out of order, I never felt like I needed to play catch up. Instead I was intrigued to read the stories of the secondary characters. I thought the story was well balanced for both the new reader and fans of the other preceding books. I'm going to read the whole series and be ready and waiting for LeAnn 's story.
