Ugh. I just don't get the whole menage thing. I cannot believe the possessiveness when one man is allowing another man to fuck his woman--I don't care how close the friends are. This was a DNF for me.
THE BILLIONAIRES: THE BOSSES - Calista Fox
#2 in the Lover's Triangle erotica series
SUPER HOT! - 4 stars
Plot - 4 stars - Bayli is struggling to live in expensive NYC and start her modeling career. But when she applies for a job as hostess in a hot new steakhouse, she has a run-in with the celebrity chef. Luckily, she has another chance to get the job, this time with his colleague.
Writing - 4 stars - Fox jumps right in to the story, creating sexy characters who quickly form a strong relationship.
Characters - 4 stars - All three main characters are attractive, driven, and hot. Christian and Rory are business partners in the restaurant business, but they also share much more on a personal level, often having dual encounters with women. Bayli turns out to attract both their attention, both professionally as well as personally. Their three-way relationship quickly develops and turns into a lot more than any of them expected.
Title - 4 stars - This is clearly a sequel to the original book, but heading in a bit of a different direction, with different characters and a different setting. It's pretty straightforward, but it works.
Cover - 3.5 stars - Very dark, with little to draw the eye. But it does fit into the same format as the other books in this series.
Overall - 4 stars - Although there are a number of very erotic scenes, the story is about more than just the sex. Bayli is a model who is a potential star for the men's upcoming TV show. They meet her separately, and they both have the same idea, anticipating her star potential and her fit for their travel/cooking program. And they also see her fit for their unusual lifestyle and recognizing the fact that she might be receptive to their suggestions.
Thanks to Netgalley and St. Martin's publishing for ARC in exchange for honest review.
Bayli Styles needed a job and she thought she found the perfect one by being a hostess in a restaurant. Her first impression with chef wasn't the greatest but she didn't get the job. She started her model career late while taking care of her mom and she really needed another job in order to live in New York. She was ready to make another way to get the job. She knew he had a partner and she knew if she would appeal to his partner she might have a chance to make it.
Rory St. James and Christian worked together for long time and they also shared a lover as long as they agree on someone. When Christian met Bayli, he couldn't forget about her and he wanted to share his experience with Rory. When both agree to pursue Bayli, they were surprise she would agree to their arrangement.
Bayli was living a dream while working with both and sharing their bed but someone has been threatening her and it is causing more trouble for all of them.
It was bit longer than I have expected to be (compare to other books she has written before). If you are looking for MFM relationships this was not so bad.
I would give 3 1/2 stars.
Calista Fox is a new to me author, and this won’t be the last book of hers that I read. I was sucked in to the feuds that tore apart young lovers, and the family drama that sought to keep them all apart. If Romeo and Juliette were a hot-as-hell threesome in wine country, you would have the Billionaires.
After years apart, three best friends from childhood reunite when Jewel returns home to her family’s winery to pursue her dream of building on a plot of land jointly owned by the families. But her reunion with her friends and former lovers, Rogen and Vin, is not one she expected. Nor are the secrets that are revealed and the knowledge that none of them has been able to move on from their childhood romances.
I loved reading about the history of these three. They were always meant to be together, but time and circumstances conspired to tear them apart. I loved that each person was so different and brought a different aspect to the relationship, and I adored that they all seemed to be better when they were together than they were apart.
When it was all said and done, I did think the rationale for the “feud” was a bit thin. Nonetheless, the journey to get there more than made up for it with a smart story, fun characters, men that were divinely yummy and sex scenes hot enough to melt your kindle. Grab a glass of wine to set the ambiance and sink into this decadent treat!
This was an okay story but I don't feel like Calista Fox did a good job of pulling in the reader. I didn't really connect with any of the characters.
Bayli moves from California to New York where she finds works and two extremely handsome bosses. Of course they both want her and they are very good at sharing. A hot little menage story for those who enjoy a peak at that lifestyle.
This book has Baylie leaving Northern California after caring for her sick mother. Now in New York she is apply for a hostess job at a top restaurant and her first interview with the chief Rory does not go well, but he is attracted to her. Her second interview with Christian is way better and is also attracted to her. Christian invites her to his home and what she does not know is that he and Rory share a place. They also share more than just a place. They both like to be with the same woman and let her know that they would like her to move in with them and yes it would be the three of them. This makes for some very hot sex scenes and you would think that the author would leave it at that. But know she added a little twist to it for someone is wanting to make their arrangement public knowledge and this adds a little to the story. Overall a good story.
This is definitely a sexually driven story. I say this up front for those of you who might not like that in your romance books or would prefer it not to be so abundant. Because this is abundant.
This was a really delicious read for me. I like sexually driven stories. The relationship that Jewel had with Vin and Rogen was a full circle relationship. What I mean by that is that both these men put together made the perfect man LOL Where one was sweet the other was demanding. Where one was a constant the other was a surprise. They both made Jewel whole. It was a beautifully developed menage romance. So well developed and unfolded that it could easily have turned into a triad. But alas, that's not what the author wanted to tell so .....
If you like your stories sexually driven and enjoy reading menage romances, I would highly recommend this book for you.
Enjoyed. A great story with a great heroine who comes out on top and I liked the two heros. Was well written, fast paced and enjoyable.
How to explain the way this book made me feel.... I was so excited to read this book, but with the excitement was a wealth of nervousness and trepidation as this was a new to me author. I knew there was going to be twists and turns, and chaos, but what happened never even entered my mind. This dark and steamy tale will have you begging for more of these billionaires. A scorching hot read that is sure to melt kindles.
This is the second book in this series by this author. The author has a fantastic way of sucking you into the story and keeping a hold on you till the end. This is a very hot, sexy menage read. I really enjoyed the story around the characters. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended series
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book
Thei was one got a spicey read I enjoyed it and will be looking to read more
I've said it before, I'll say it again. Threesomes and ménage romances aren't exactly my thing. I don't find them romantic and frankly don't think that they can work out- even fictionally. That there is no way that three people can be in a relationship and there will be no friction or jealousy. And yet, Calista Fox proves me wrong time and time again! How she makes these romances not only scorching hot but also sweet and emotional is beyond me!
Those of you who have been following Calista Fox's "Lovers Triangle" series should be familiar with the sweet and determined Bayli Styles. Having spent her childhood and teenage years taking care of her ailing mother she has only just been able to set off on her dreams. She's left River Cross, California and moved across the country to the city of her dreams, New York City. She has found a studio apartment in Manhattan that is barely bigger than a walk in closet, but with all her late mother's medical bills she is in debt up to her eyeballs and this is all she can afford. But she is full of hope and energy and knows that all she needs now is her big break. So she goes to interview for the hostess position of the new Davila's restaurant in NYC, without a clue as to how her life is about to irrevocably change.
Celebrity chef Rory St. James takes his job very seriously and is known to be unforgiving and meticulous in the kitchen. So when he crashes into the raven haired beauty with the mile long legs upon exiting his kitchen he is not only turned on but very angry. He denies her the job but also doesn't want to lose her. His business partner and best friend Christian Davila have a penchant for sharing and pleasuring women. Yet there has always been something missing. It seems that Bayli just may be that missing piece.
With Christian's dark and handsome looks and his calm and reasonable demeanour and Rory's rough and tough attitude Bayli soon finds herself in a fantasy come true. Not only does she have the attention and fascination of two of the most successful and sexy men in NYC but she is finally on her way to making her professional dreams come true. But as success finally finds her, so do some stalkers and it seems she is now in constant danger.
If you enjoyed Jewel's story in the previous book of this series, than you are absolutely going to love love love Bayli's story. This is an extremely hot book so beware!!!
Finally one that kept my attention outside of the ridiculous romance story. It was a bit longer, but worth the read. It seemed easier to enjoy the characters, and be interested in what they were doing, they had a story, some background, and worked well together. It wasn't just romance where they fell in love on the first day and live happily ever after. It was a fast romance, but didn't seem too ridiculous. Well done!
Another great hot steamy read. I read this over the afternoon. Well written with great strong character development.
Bayli has finally got a chance to live her life for herself so she pursues modeling in NYC at the age of 27. While trying to get a job as a hostess for new upcoming steak house for Rory St. James and Christian Davila. Attracted to both men and they want her too. She is the woman they have been looking for someone who sparks both their needs and desires.
Good character development as their relationship grew. It did drag a little in areas.
Billionaire kinky men have been done over and over again. How can this one be any different? It may not exactly be different; it is erotically explosive and deliciously written. Ms. Fox is quickly becoming one of the authors I auto read. I do not even bother to find out what the book is about. If her name is on it, I'll read it. And I will enjoy it.
In this series, Bayli is a determined woman who is intuitive and self motivated. I really liked her. Sure she has two best friends who are supportive and can give her a helping hand. She doesn't want handouts. She wants to make it on her own and she knows what she wants. What she wants is to to be famous through modeling maybe some acting. Is it that models and actors moonlight as waitresses or vice versa? Bayli wants to be a hostess for a very exclusive restaurant owned by billionaires Rory St. James and Christian Davila. When she is flat turned down, it does not stop her. And this is what I love about Bayli.
This story had me laughing from beginning to end... with Bayli. She is a fighter and she can hold her own. The plot devices in this story worked so well for me. I loved how Ms. Fox created these characters and showed their interactions from work to play. The chemistry between these three leap off the pages. Their sexual heat is scorching hawt. The menage is a pleasure to read. Is it realistic? Probably not, but it is so good and fun to read. This book is like fine wine to me. I savoured it to the last drop and was remorseful when it came to the end. This book did give me a book hangover.
In addition to great sex, erotic scenes and loveable characters, there is a nice solid plot. I liked how it all tied together for a story that is more than just three people hooking up. They are building a life together. This pulls me in because it feels more realistic and I love stories where people who work hard can achieve their dreams. This erotic romance is recommended to all menage readers.Billionaire kinky men have been done over and over again. How can this one be any different? Hot hot hot with a little mystery! Oh to have someone or two someone 30x in your life to love and adore you. Could not put this down.
Wowza Wowza Wowza. Well this was certainly a pleasure....no pun intended.
Great MFM story! Characters were great, and the story line grabbed me from the beginning and I didn't want to put it down.
