Linney and Cyrus find a future in this well written romance about cattle raising in Florida and the hardships of everyday life made sweeter by finding your heart's mate. Settle in to read about the history of the sunshine state not often told.

Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Wonderful! I love historical western romance and Christian romance and this one has both! I liked the length of this book, not too long, not too short. The characters were very believable. I loved how Cy told Linney the story of the birth and death of our Savior and brought her to trust, love and hold Him in her heart. This book was a pearly face from beginning to end. I hope to read more of Judy DuCharme books. The cover of this book is just beautiful and was a big influence on me to read it. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity to read Run With The Wind. .

Linney lives at home and helps her dad with the farm. With her mom gone and a new hand on the ranch Linney starts to wonder if the chooses she has set in her head are the right was when her heart questions everything. Cy is heading towards home when his cousin gives him a heads up about a job. When Cy keeps a secret close to his heart it seems he is forced to come face to face with his fears. Will they both be able to over come their fears?
I have never read anything by this author so I wasn't sure what to expect. This book was short but packed an amazing story. Its placed during probably 1800 or early 1900s but there wasn't that historical feel to it, which was nice. I loved all the active characters in this book. I loved the names and the back and forth and I loved how Linney was an independent women but also was not afraid to seek help when needed. I loved her love for animals and how the characters enjoyed talking to them which allowed the personalities to shine out and make for a fun element in the story. I loved how this was a super clean read and I think the only downside or upside depends how you look at it was in the end I wanted more from these characters I wanted to know more and see more played out, but it ended perfectly.

Run With the Wind by Judy Du Charme is a light hearted romance that draws one in immediately.
Linney Merritt is used to hard work and helping with all chores around the ranch including cooking for the cattle drives and assisting with calving. She is an independent young woman who has been raised by her father as her mother died giving birth to her. She is determined, after all she has seen and experienced, that she will not marry and never have children. Will she change her mind when Cyrus John joins the ranch family? Cy is also determined that he will never marry again after his wife died in a fire. He carries guilt that he was not at home at the and was unable to save her. The rest of the ranch family consists of Linney’s father, Jed, and Shorty, Icey and Liver the other Crackers. All but Shorty head off on a cattle drive and that is when most of the story happens. In the end, they do both realize that God is in control and they must give up some of their own ideas to Him. Does this mean they will get together or just accept each other as dear friends?
I enjoyed this book and it was a quick read for me as I did not want to put it down once I started. I learned the men were called crackers because of the way they could crack the whip and get the cows going where they wanted them if they strayed off. I found all of the characters to be realistic and well written. I felt I truly knew Linney and Cy and the fears of their hearts reached out to me. While none of the characters are related except Linney and Jed they do become a very close-knit family and look out for each other. I give this book 5 of 5 stars. I recommend it to everyone who enjoys Christian romance.
I received an advance copy of this book through Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
