Woo! Harley gets to have a ton and a half of team ups with all sorts of different people in this TPB!

It goes from the awesome team up with Wonder Woman, to a very cool sorta time travel-ish team up with herself in the DC Bombshells universe, to the absurd but awesome team up with Lobo (lots of bootie jokes on both sides, did Gail Simone write this one, no, shucks).

There was also one with Harley vs. Green Lantern (Hal this time), and one with Zatanna and Harley as spirits, also a really weird one with her and Superman too (which Supes though, that's the question that rang through my mind the whole time).

I know that comic books these days are supposed to be all broody and 'mean something' or whatever, but I say balderdash to that. What Conner and Palmiotti have done with Harley Quinn is awesomely amazing entertainment that keeps me cracking up. (But, I need more Poison Ivy too please!)

I was given this ARC by Netgalley on behalf of DC Entertainment.

For me, Harley Quinn has always been a hit-or-miss character. She is either amazingly well written and created in such an interesting way that you cannot put it down or she is unbearable and just too much. Fortunately, Harley’s Little Black Book fell into the former.

I cannot remember the last time that I had this much fun reading a comic book, I was constantly laughing at what Harley had gotten herself into and how she went about getting out of the situations. Whilst some of the supporting cast were not as well developed as Harley, they did not detract from the events that occurred.

Each issue is a ‘stand-alone’ story focusing on a different person who Harley interacts with; although overall they do flow from one story to another. The first story is Harley Quinn tries to become Wonder Woman’s sidekick, you can only imagine what goes through her brain in how she goes about this. Next up was Harley Quinn gets a lantern ring and ends up facing Hal Jordan. Third was Zatanna and Harley Quinn in what I can only describe as a crazy ghost-filled adventure. Fourth was Harley travels back in time to WW2 and joins the Bombshells in an assassination plot. Fifth is Harley Quinn vs Superman. Last, but not least, was Harley Quinn and Lobo get stranded on an planet.

I won’t go too much into each storyline as with them only being a single issue long, I will probably end up explain gin everything. What I will say though is that each story, whilst connected, are very different and you should not go into this expecting an overarching plot like you would expect. Each story wraps up very well and not many loose ends are left. Treat each story as their own and you will enjoy this more.

The art style for the first 5 issues were very similar and I cannot really fault it. The last issue with Lobo has a very different art style, that I initially found quite jarring after the pervious 5 issues being completely different. Whilst this change in art style initially shocked me, I actually ended up enjoying this one the most (and yes, maybe Lobo has something to do with this…).

If you enjoy the character Harley Quinn, then these one-shots should give you a good taste of her wild personality.

I really enjoyed this. The slapstick humor that Connor and Palmiotti often forced into Harley's other plots actually worked for this. Each story is a stand alone and could be read without the others. I liked the independence of this you can pick up anywhere and not have to wonder what you've missed. Although I'm sure there will be references to it in the main series. My faves were the Bombshells and Green Lantern. While usually I'm not a fan of time travel, I found the whole thing to be amusing. Again not a huge Green Lantern fan but I thought this story was a hoot.
I found the artwork to be a little cartoony, but it worked with humor and stories. I think these off the wall team-ups work much better for the new Harley Quinn and would love to see some more from this spin off.
This could be a good way for Harley Quinn readers to get introduced to other superheroes in the DC Universe. Heck, I picked up DC Bombshells after reading this, to see what it was really like.
In conclusion I think Connor and Palmiotti should scrap the other Harley Quinn series and just focus on offering up these humorous and well done one shots.

Well I enjoyed this one. It isn't one of my favourite Harley Quinn graphic novel but it was pretty good.

Harley Quinn teaming up with the good guys? Yes, you got that right. She's quit the Joker and decided to help super heroes instead, and hilarity ensues. I admit I have always enjoyed the character and so wanted to read this when I hearts the title, let alone read the description. While they weren't my favorite stories with the crazy gal, I definitely enjoyed them and found them quite funny. Definitely one to enjoy.

Harley is a delightful mess. Harley Quinn is on a mission to save Wonder Woman. After learning about a crime syndicate's desire to attempt to put out a hit on Wonder Woman, Harley a secret longtime fan of the superheroine smuggles herself over to London to save her idol. The art is cute, Harley is a delight and her drive to save her idol is funny, wacky and a delight.

I missed the first few issues of this series in comic form so I figured I would just wait for the graphic novel to come out and the New 52 was slowly getting more eh in my opinion. I still read them but they weren't my favorite. This volume collects issues 1-6 of the little black book series and they are all one-offs so I could have jumped in wherever but I didn't realize that.

The series is like diary entries by Harley, many are in flashback format and they all can be read in any order. They each feature a different guest appearance - like Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern, and they are don't but a variety of artists.

I think my favorite issue in the bunch was the Green Lantern one, Harley is her evil self again, not trying to save anything, and the lantern rings are a very cool addition for a Harley Quinn comic. The one I liked the least was the last one and the story wasn't bad, but I sadly did not enjoy the artist on that issue.

Many of these issues had a lot of sexual innuendo and some had it right out there, so these are definitely adult comics/ graphic novels. I felt like there was actually more sex themes than violence - it was not what I expected, but don't get me wrong there was still a lot of violence as well.

I am happy to have read the series to this point, I think if you enjoyed the New 52 Harley series and enjoy guests popping in, these are issues for you.

Love Harley! Another great addition to the canon of the crowned princess of crime.

Harley Quinn is obviously hot lately. Even though the Suicide Squad movie wasn't as amazing as everyone may have hoped for there is no doubt that Margot Robbie brought Harley to life in a perfect fashion.
DC did a smart thing following that movie last year releasing the first of this series of 6 one-shot comics. They are cute single stories where Harley meets up with some DC well known and lesser known characters.
Many comic book gals (including myself) are very niche. I collect Harley comics, Grimm Fairly Tales by specific artists and some other miscellaneous on the side like Serenity; but the only major title I devotedly collect is Harley.
So bringing Harley into the realm of some other heroes is a good way to give exposure to these other DC characters.

Of the 6 there is no doubt I learned the most about Green Lantern backstory and the rings. I didn't know much at all and after reading this story went and looked up a bunch of info on the rings. Some good marketing there DC.

Overall all of these are fun, silly stories; just like Harley always is. They are told using her post-Joker character (ie: new 52 Harley) and they tie in to her main arc in small ways if you pay attention.
No Suicide Squad persona here; but if you want to know more about some other DC characters while enjoying Harley's antics this is a great compilation. It's even easier to fit into a busy life as each of the six parts is its own story perfect for a 15-30 minute sitting.

Collecting issues #1 - 6, this compilation features stories of super-powered team-ups with some of the biggest names in the DC Universe. Harley Quinn battles drug lords and evildoers while attempting to bond with Wonder Woman. (Can you imagine the two of them as besties trying on each other's clothes?) She has an adventure with Green Lantern after purchasing a red and black power ring online. Harley sees dead people, and so does new friend Zatanna as they try to save some spirits being tormented in the spirit world. Superman and Harley have a no holds barred boxing match to save planet Earth. A trip to Superman's arctic retreat leads to a bit of pilfering that leaves Harley in possession of the ability to travel through dimensions. She manages to visit World War II and meet the Bombshells - Catwoman, Batwoman, Big Barda, Zatanna, and even a version of herself. Then she finds herself on a spaceship boarded by Lobo and Dawg, before they are forced to spend time on an unknown planet.

Whether you have imagined Harley teamed up with any of these characters, or always thought that she could never be a team player, this series is full of action, humor, and plenty of attitude. Everything from her fan girl collection of super hero items, her discussions with her stuffed beaver, and her insatiable appetite for hot dogs and pizza comes together to round out the depiction of this anti-hero. Not for the very young; there is plenty of language, violence, nudity, and sexual innuendo. Fans who fell for Harley in the movie "Suicide Squad" will enjoy these outings with other DCU names.

I have written out my review and scheduled the blog post to go live on August 8th. The link below is the URL where the blog post will appear on that date. The same is true for the Goodreads Review. I will not add the content until August 8.

LOVE Amanda Conner's take on Harley. This one is quite fun when Harley mixes it up with Wonder Wonder , Green Lantern and Superman. I ALWAYS look forward to these stories and the colorful artwork

Well, this was a mess. There were some fun ideas in here-- the concepts for the Green Lantern, Zatanna, and Wonder Woman stories were good in theory-- but ultimately this whole collection really fell very flat for me.
I'm not the biggest fan of Amanda Conner's Harley stories. There are some great ideas, but ultimately I feel like a very complex, interesting character has been reduced to slapstick antics. That was especially true in this collection. The stories were just meh when they could have been great, and the art ranged from solid to just atrocious (as with the Lobo issue). I just really didn't care for this, and my disinterest/dislike just grew as it went on. I wouldn't recommend this, even for the most rabid fans of Conner's Harley Quinn.

An excellent comic that shows a Wonder Woman obsessed Harley Quinn in a series of funny adventures from childhood to present days. More Harley and Wonder Woman team up please.

Another Harley related title that I love, and that is saying a lot. I generally haven't enjoyed the new Harley material the last few years. This one, though? I love it. Harley pairs up with different DC characters which makes for an interesting ride. I think the best stories in here costar Wonder Woman, Lobo, and the Bombshells. This is a really fun book!
