A great book dealing with how Christian women often feel they fail to live up to the Proverbs 31 woman who seems to be so perfect and without any faults. Chadwick gives women the encouragement needed to know we don't have to be perfect, and that's ok. Great and thought provoking book.
Written by a former agnostic, this book shows how women don't need to fall for the "either/or" fallacy. She encourages women to see themselves as wholesome humans who don't have to fit into cookie cutter images.
A very thought provoking read! I enjoyed that the author used both Biblical and real life examples! Definitely a book every woman should read!
This is a nice combination of bible stories and women the author meet, to tell a story about worth in many different ways. Defiantly worth a try for everyone!
This was an incredible read. Marilynn Chadwick provides examples to the scripture about a woman in Proverbs 31. I thought she gave fantastic examples of woman of Valor from the Bible and from her personal life. I thought it was thought-provoking. She really gave me a lot to think about. I am glad that I read this book. It displays that God created woman for a purpose. I cannot wait to read more Marilynn Chadwick books. Overall, an amazing read.
Somewhere along the way, we've forgotten the true meaning of a Proverbs 31 woman. We've made it something that it's not. Chadwick in her book "Woman Of Valor" sets out to show women a more accurate picture of this woman we've spent our lives trying to become. I loved her view. She took a little bit of the weight off that we've put on ourselves. Her stories of women all over the world who are incredible examples of Proverbs 31 women are inspiring. I encourage every woman to read this book.
