So far I am LOOOOVING THE HECK right out of These Misadventure series. And Misadventures Of A Good Wife was a sexy, passionate, adventures romance that was beyond thrilling and extremely exciting! Kate and Price marriage is rocky after Price fakes his own death. But to win back his wife, he uses EVERYTHING in his power to win her back and to keep her safe.
It was IMPOSSIBLE to resist this adventure. I sighed, I CRAVED, I DEMAND more! It captivated me from the get go and I just couldn't put it down. Its the type of romance you dream about LONG after you finish. I can't wait for the next Misadventure story! The writing Meredith Wild and Helen Hardt is truly magnificent. These two ladies know how to capture the readers heart with one hell of a great romance!
Misadventures of a Good Wife gets an OUTSTANDING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! I could EASILY read this again and again and still find something new to love
I am a big fan of these two fabulous authors. However, I could not get past the premise of the book. Fake his own death? Jump right into bed with him? I know, I know. It's probably me, not you.
I quite liked this novel. Admittedly it didn't reinvent the wheel but it was well written with good character development. The main issue I had was the ending it was definitely a bit rushed and too easy somehow. If the hero did the sensible thing in the first place instead of being forced into it at the end he wouldn't have had to have 'died'
I really loved this book. These authors were new to me. Now I must find they're other books. Must read
I thoroughly enjoyed this whole series. The romance and stories were believable (backup bride and city girl more so than good wife). They kept my attention and I didn't want to put them down.
This book was not what I was expecting. It was a fascinating read and it really pulled you and you really wanted to know all the details as to what happen to her husband. The way they reconnected over the vacation was sweet and odd that they brought Chelle along she was left alone and that kinda sucked for her. But Otis ended up being there with her for a moment. The adventure once they got back to New York was interesting and really a great part of the book.

Received from NetGalley for review.
I read the first book in the series and liked it very much. This one didn't do anything for me. I found it hard to get into, almost felt like time travel, I seriously thought it was and I don't like those. The wife goes on vacation with her sister-in-law, who knows what's going on. The wife meets up with dead husband and she sleeps with him. Huh? First, he wouldn't be walking. Second, he would have some explains to do. Seemed far fetched. I can't even remember the characters names, since they did change, threw me off.
I gave this three stars, contemplating two but this is my personal feelings on it. Some like paranormal, I don't.
I wanted to read this book because of the two authors. I didn't read the blurb and I had no idea what the book was about.
From the first paragraph I thought I had this book pegged but boy was I wrong, so very wrong!
There's a shock right from the start. I never would have guessed the book was going to go this way.
I was into this book until it continued to be nothing but sex. They would talk and then sex. They would walk and then sex. They would go to sleep and then sex.
The end of the book was short as well. It came out of nowhere for me. It was getting good and then just ended.
Kate and Price are happily married and deeply in love. They have a pretty perfect life until Price leaves fo a business trip. The plane that Price is on goes down over the ocean and everything burns up in the crash. Over the next year Kate lives in a fog and struggles to put her life back together. Trying to pull Kate out of her depression, her sister in law takes her away on an island vacation. Walking down the beach Kate sees the love of her life walking towards her.
Price has a lot of explaining to do. He has been living off the grid and pretending to be dead to keep his loved ones safe. Will Kate be able to forgive Price? Will they be able to move on together or will Kate walk away? This was a quick read with some steamy sex scenes. Give it a read!
Wow!!! I was hooked from the very first page! Meredith Wild is a favorite of mine, but I've never read Helen Hardt, even though she's was on my TBR list. That has changed since I've read this book. She has a new fan!!!
Kate has been mourning the death of her husband Price for a year only to find out he's alive!!!! It's a bitter sweet reunion. Price has secrets that are a threat to both him and Kate. While they catch up on lost times in the bedroom (which are pretty steamy), they have to decided how to move forward together.
I loved how strong Kate was. I wanted to throttle Price a few times, but I saw where he was coming from with his actions.
The story was different from anything else I've ever read. It was fun, fresh, sexy and had me at the edge of my seat. This is a must read!!!
Received an ARC from NETGALLEY in exchange for an honest review.
This is not the sort of book I usually read, or having down so, would recommend. The erotic writing is fairly straight, if a little too frequent, It had me worried about the female lead's comfort! Very lightly written stuff, with a back story that seemed cliched and improbable, however, what ever floats your boat - some may really enjoy the book. The theme is 'back from the dead?' for a sad widow who misses her husband. He had clearly been sorely (!) missed.
Having read the first book in the series this was a real let down.
I felt the plot was silly and just an excuse to write sex scenes.
Not for me.
I recently read the first book in this series and I really enjoyed it, so I was looking forward to reading more books in the series, even though this book is co-written by one of the authors that wrote the first book and a different author and it focused on different characters! Like the first book, I received an ARC of this book through Netgalley! After reading, I can say that I enjoyed this book! I would say that I enjoyed it just as much as the first book! The plot also only took me a few sittings to read and it developed at a nice pace and at a pace that kept me interested! The plot also had more action and suspense in it than the first book and I loved this aspect to it! The action and suspense added a lot to the plot and kept me wanting to read on! There were plenty of seriously hot scenes in this book too, and they were really, really hot! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Kate was the main female character, and at the beginning of this book she was lost and she felt like she was missing a piece of herself! I could completely understand why Kate felt like this because she had lost the love of her life! Or had she? This isn't a spoiler in a way because it does tell you this happens in the synopsis! I loved Kate more as this book progressed because she grew a lot and she was willing to give up a lot to be with her husband! This made me have a lot of respect for her! Price was the main male character and love interest of Kate! Price pretended for a year to be dead! Again, this isn't a spoiler because the synopsis tells you a bit of this! I would have been seriously mad if a guy did this to me, but Price did have his reasons and he did it in a way to keep Kate safe from the danger that he was facing! Price also had a big secret as to why he faked his death, and I was always wanting to read on to find out his secret! It did take a while, but the secret did make sense after I found it out and it explained why Price went into hiding! I also loved that this book was written from both Kate and Price's point of views! I was expecting it to be because the first book was written from dual point of views and it was co-written! I'm really happy that this book was too because it helped me connect more with both characters and it allowed for more things to happen in the plot too! It helped explain Price's situation more too! I also can't wait to read the next book in this series! I don't have an ARC of it, but I do have ARCs of the fourth and fifth books, so I'm going to be making them my next reads and then go back and read the third book when it releases in October! I can't wait to continue this series and read more books from different authors! The books in this series can be read in any order as they all focus on completely different storylines and characters! The cover for this book is also stunning! It suits the book perfectly and I love how well the wedding rings symbolise the book and the relationship between Kate and Price! The seashell and the beach symbolise the book too, which makes me love the cover even more! Big thank you to Netgalley and Waterhouse Press for an ARC of Misadventures of a Good Wife!
This story was good. It had suspense and romance, and the characters were enduring. My only negative comments is that in my opinion it could have used a few less sex scenes. They distracted from the story at times.
Kate and Price had a whirlwind romance that instantly made me hooked on their lovestory. College sweethearts, their story is the stuff dreams are made of. However, everything is cut short for Kate, when word arrives that Price has been in a plane crash. Suddenly, everything she thought would be part of her happily-ever-after, now becomes nothing but a desolate future without the love of her life.
A year later, her sister in law begs her to take a vacation with her. While taking a walk on the beach, Kate comes face to face with someone in her past–her not-so-dead husband!
Secrets are revealed and love is never lost in this second Misadventures book by Meredith Wild and Helen Hardt. There’s romance, passion, and a plot line that sweeps you right up, and makes you regret you finish the book so quickly.
Kate has had to deal with a terrible blow and now a year later her life is turned upside down again. What I really liked about this book is all the emotions and the feeling of a pure love that these characters have for one another. This one was packed with mystery and action, it kept me intrigued and on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to read the next one.
Misadventures of a Good Wife is the second instalment in the Misadventures series, which continues to provide entertaining reading and a nice mix of laughter and sincerity.
Kate and Price make a wonderful couple and their adventure shows the depth of love and determination to make things work. I’m loving this series, and can’t wait to read more from these extraordinary authors.
This was a quick read and while I’ve read and enjoyed work by both authors, this one wasn’t one of my favorites. It has an interesting premise with Kate’s husband lost at sea in a plane crash and her almost debilitating grief over the past year. When Price shows up, she’s filled with joy and yet has so many questions.
Price and Kate have an amazing chemistry and after several years together, still can’t keep their hands off of each other. I could easily feel their various emotions.
There are some twists and turns in the story but it seemed to be mostly about their steamy times. It was lacking in action and believable details and was a little over-the-top at times. I was left with too many questions about the entire story and not much happened at times.
I love this Misadventures series and fell in love with the first one, Misadventures of a City Girl by Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss. I look forward to reading the other stories in this series.
I want to thank Netgalley, Waterhouse Press, and the authors for allowing me to read this ARC.
I think the misadventures books are going to be one of the best series out this year. Lots and lots to love about this book and I think the same is going to be about all of them. I'm made up that I tried this book and can't wait for more from them. This has such a fantastic story that you feel you are apart of with the characters, draws you right into the book. Chemistry between the characters is hot and you can't help rooting for them as a couple and to get there HEA would recommend to everyone
This is the second book in this series by this author. The plot for this story is just so perfect, with lots of twists & turns. This is a short story with loads of suspense. fantastic characters which keep you hooked till the last page. I was hooked from the first page till the very end. These books are a fantastic series, I can't wait to read in. This series and by these authors in the future.
Highly recommended
