This books is by two of my all time favorite authors. This series keeps getting better and better. Who does not love a little adventure in their life. This book is an erotic romance that has steam that will leave you fanning yourself as you read. When Price comes back into Katie's life, will the questions she has be answered? This is the second installment in the misadventures series and it does live up to its erotica reputation. But the question is, unlike the first book, does it have a plot and more to offer than sex? To answer this question, yes it does and it has a little dash of suspense to drive the plot. This book has no connection to book one, so you can read it without reading book one first. Believe me, book two is much better. In this installment, we have husband and wife named Price and Kate, respectively, and we have a lot of steam and a little suspense with Price. Price was believed to be dead for a year following a plane crash, but it is later revealed that he was alive and well. In comes Kate, a journalist who went into a deep depression because of Price's supposed "death". Price's sister decide to lift Kate from her funk and takes her on a tropical vacation for 3 weeks and little does Kate know, her world is about to be changed forever.

I am going to try to not reveal any spoilers, but the blurb pretty much tells you the burning question. Once it is revealed that Price is alive, things start to take an interesting turn. Kate is faced with the decision to stay with Price or give up her entire life in New York. There is one thing that this book does not lack and that is "SEX". There is lots of it, my dear. Anyways, I did enjoy myself while reading and the plot was interesting and so was the characters.

Of course when there is good, there is also bad. This book had the same problem as book one. It had too much sex, if that is even possible. This book had an interesting plot and great characters, but every time the plot would progress, sex would be thrown in it to slow it down. The third part of the book is when the mystery start to unfold and there was a little intensity, but the ending was very underwhelming and rushed. I felt like it was a cliffhanger, but in reality it was not supposed to be a cliffhanger. The book ended so fast that my head starting to spin. I needed a more thought out ending.

Overall, I enjoyed the story and its character and it was better than book one. Besides the ending and epilogue, the book was a solid 4 star with lots of sex

This is my least favorite in the series that I have read so far. I liked Price and his devotion to his wife. I get that Kate was mourning and realizing your husband is really alive is a shock but she bugged me. Also, I didn't feel like I connected to them. It was all sex and not connection or much other storyline.

A good suspense thriller. Even though the passion was hot, one or two romps would have sufficed. A huge portion of the book was devoted to Price and Kate in bed. Although I’m not opposed to some steamy love scene, too much can be off putting at times. I found myself flipping past subsequent scenes and the book moved at a good pace and got down to the nitty gritty of the book, which I loved. I would read more. I love Meredith Wild, even though this wasn’t one of my favorites, I still liked it. Book provided by NetGalley.

Taking in a breath....this book is hot stuff...a must read I loved it.

This book has everything I enjoy in a book - great characters, steamy bedroom scenes & suspense & intrigue thrown in. I really enjoyed the story & was gripped from the very beginning.

However as much as I enjoy the steamy scenes there was rather a lot of them in this book & towards the end I did find myself skimming over them. I also think the storyline was wrapped up quite abruptly in the final few pages.

i am in love with this series every book just gets better and better. this is a must read series

I am not sure what happened with this book, it started out good, but then it just dragged and dragged and dddrrraagggeeeddd! I think I actually quit reading it about half way through.

Once again I have fallen for the characters in the series. Every book has been seamlessly written as if it is one author everytime. I love the storylines and I end up with smile on my face everytime I finish one of these stories. I definitely can't wait to read more from them.

This is a must read in the Misadventures series. I loved it so much I bought the hardcover copy!.
You can't go wrong with a loving couple whose lives get turned upside down and everything comes crashing down. Only to discover a year later what was real wasn't.

When Kate's husband Price "dies" on a business trip, she's unable to move on in life. Her heart grieves for all the things she wanted to share with him that are lost forever. When she goes on a tropical getaway vacation with her sister-in-law, she discovers that Price is indeed still alive. Have his secrets ruined their chance at happiness for good? Will Kate want to reconcile after she knows the whole truth?

This was a slow starter for me and the ending seemed somewhat abrupt, but the story captured my interest and is worth the read.

I’m not all too sure what happened with this one. It started out great. That first chapter caught my interest and I really enjoyed how it dove right into the heart of the story, but after that I just got...bored with it. I felt for Kate and understood Price’s reasons for faking his death, but something about their reunion and all that came after just didn’t give me the emotional gut punch I was looking for. The writing was seamless and the smexy was hot, but in the end, this one falls under the “it’s not you, it’s me” shelf for me.

Whew! What a ride!!!  I love Misadventures of a Good Wife! This was one for the record books!  I started reading this book and I was so immersed I never put it down!! Geez! This story made me drop my mouth open and say did I just read that right?  Yea, I did.... I HAD to keep reading!

The story is incredible and the true love that soulmates possess was the heart of this book.  Kate and Price have what everyone would dream to have.  They have a life where their love is epic! One that puts that other person first. One that is so beautiful and revered, but also so very heart-wrenching when disaster strikes.  

The blurb gives you the gist, but the execution is so well done. It isn't cheesy, and it isn't corny. It grips you right in the heart and never lets go! The plot is totally believable and all the twists and turns are just so well done. The all-encompassing love they have for each other and the need to stay together, overrides any fear of the unknown. I was certain everything in the end would be all right! Getting there was a challenge, but the authors never let me down!

Meredith Wild and Helen Hardt take their writing abilities to the next level with this book! It was worth every minute I spent with Price and Kate! I can see myself reading this over and over! I have loved all the books I have read in this Misadventures series, but this one hold a special place in my heart!

This was a quick read that I enjoyed. I am really enjoying the Misadventure series written by different authors.

It has been a year since Kate lost her husband. They were so in love and had great jobs in New York. When her husband has to go out of town for business and didn’t come home. She never imagined she would get that dreadful knock on her door letting her know her husband wasn’t coming home.

Moving on has been really hard for Kate she hasn’t been living life she’s just been getting by. Her sister in law is able to convince her to go on a vacation for three weeks. Give her a chance to clear her head and get away from home.

The same day she gets there she takes a walk on the beach that changed her life when she sees her husband walking towards her. She thinks she’s dreaming, he’s dead he can’t be at the beach.

Price did the only thing he could to protect his wife and family. It has been a long year for him without his wife and his family. Will he be able to convince his wife to hear him out and give him another chance?

I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

this book started off really well , it did for me personally slow down a bit during the middle but towards the end it was really good! Kate despite grieving her dead husband is a strong character in this book n overcomes everything really well , I went into this book totally blind and I think I enjoyed it more for it , not as good as city girl but a definite must read

I gave this one only 3 stars because the entire book was overwhelmed with way too many sex scenes. The actual story would have been better if they weren't having sex every ten minutes.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy sex scenes in my book. And usually the more steamier the better. But this one just had way too many for this short of a story.
I didn't like the beginning of the story very much and it made me start to dislike Price. I kept waiting to find out what he had done wrong and that he would be one of the bad guys. But I did enjoy the ending and was glad how everything turned out.
